1. Lots of variables there, depends on the soil quality, possible contaminants nearby (factories, farms, etc). It's safe to sate that most of our water sources have been tainted. Oil of Oregano, a drop or 2 per gallon of water kills most if not all pathogens. Iodine (small doses regularly) helps to clean out heavy metals from the body. Both in combination with filtered water (or artesian spring water) will keep good H2o flowing into you.

1. Eastern medicines in general tend to be effective along with other "alternative" modalities. I wouldn't recommend to someone taking lots of OTC or script meds w/o weaning off of them first (mixing herbs & man-made medicines make for new problems). I personally haven't had a vaccine of any type in the last 16-17 years, I simply changed my diet to boost my immune system & to fit my body & blood type, FLu, very rarely in that time, colds don't last more than a week (eat lots of onions &/or garlic, do NOT eat meat & avoid dairy when fighting a cold or flue). Pineapple juice is EXCELLENT cough syrup ;) In general though, allow your immune system to built itselg up, and it can fight off most anything w/o the use of vaccines.
