German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas says American nuclear missiles must not be stationed in Germany, or anywhere in Europe, in Washington's arms control debate with Moscow.

"The deployment of new medium-range missiles would meet with widespread resistance in Germany," Maas said in an interview with German news agency dpa.

The US is set to quit the 30-year-old INF treaty with Russia, which has been preventing Washington from stationing such missiles in Europe. Both countries accuse each other of violating the treaty, and both deny any wrongdoing on their own part.

By no means should Europe become the scene of a debate on weapons build-up," Maas said.

Deploying nuclear weapons in response to supposed treaty violations is Cold War-era logic, the German diplomat believes.

"Nuclear armament is certainly the wrong answer," he said. "The policy of the 80s does not help to answer the questions of today."

The US is accusing Russia of building missiles prohibited by the INF treaty, while Moscow says American missile defense systems already stationed in Eastern Europe can easily be converted into offensive ballistic missile launchers.

In October, the US announced it would withdraw from the treaty unless Russia halts the alleged violations, and in December it gave Russia a 60-day deadline to comply. According to Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov, Moscow was informed right away that the decision was final, and not an attempt to start a dialogue.

Russia has warned it would have to respond if American missiles are stationed in Europe, making any such sites potential targets.

There is a great uproar over the recent decision by US President Trump to pull US troops out of Syria, announcing his reason for doing so is that ISIS, the so-called Islamic State, has largely been defeated. What lies behind the decision and more important, what was behind the surprise emergence of ISIS across Syria in 2014 brings the spotlight to yet-classified documents of the Obama term. If the reorganized Justice Department is compelled to make these documents public in lawsuits or Freedom of Information requests, it could rock organizations such as the CIA and many in the Obama camp.

In 2010 the US Administration under President Barack Obama developed a top secret blueprint for the most ambitious and far-ranging series of US-backed regime change across the Islamic Middle East since World War I and the Anglo-French Sykes-Picot agreement. It was to set off a wave of wars and chaos, of failed states and floods of war refugees unimaginable to the most cynical veteran diplomat, and beyond the belief of most lay persons in the world.

In August, 2010, six months before Tunisia’s Jasmine Revolution was launched by the Washington NGOs including the NED, the Soros Foundations, Freedom House and others, President Obama signed Presidential Study Directive-11 (PDS-11), ordering Washington government agencies to prepare for “change.” The change was to be a radical policy calling for Washington’s backing for the secret fundamentalist Islamic Muslim Brotherhood sect across the Middle East Muslim world, and with it, the unleashing of a reign of terror that would change the entire world.

Cardillo had been a champion of leveraging emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence and machine learning to help unburden analysts. Rather than having humans staring at images or hours of full motion video, new technologies could do this monotonous work getting analysts back into the business of using their brain power for analysis.

Cardillo provided Senators in 2016 an anecdote that described how important leveraging algorithms would be to his agency’s mission. He explained how an analyst physically counted 25,000 buildings in a particular area as there was no algorithm designed to do this for them. “Think of the hours he had to spend to do that,” Cardillo exclaimed. “I turned to my head of research and I said don’t let that happen again.”

Israeli Parl't Votes For Self-Dissolution, Sets Snap Election For April 9

This comes after the Knesset, Israel's unicameral parliament, held a session on Wednesday devoted to a bill on self-dissolution as well as the snap general election, called by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's coalition government.

During the session, the Israeli parliament voted for self-dissolution and set the snap election date for April 9, 2019.

After the vote, the Knesset lawmakers are expected to go on "pre-election holidays," while the government will continue to work until a new one is formed following the April 9 election.

Current polls predict a victory for the right-wing camp and its leader Benjamin Netanyahu.

On Monday, a representative of Likud party told Sputnik that Israel will hold a general election on 9 April adding that the current Knesset convocation would be dissolved by that time.

The vote came after Defence Minister Avigdor Lieberman resigned on November 14 over Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's push for a ceasefire with Hamas militants, which wrapped up the latest uptick in violence across the Gaza border. Lieberman, who accused the PM of "surrendering to Hamas terror", also said that his Yisrael Beitenu (Israel Our Home) Party, which at the time held five seats in the 120-seat Knesset, would leave the coalition.

The Rudolph story begins with Robert Lewis May, the brother of Johnny Marks’ Jewish wife, Margaret May Marks. The Rudolph booklet published by the Montgomery Ward Company and distributed for free to their shoppers

Sometime in the 1930s, Robert May moved from New York to Chicago and took a fairly lowly and low-paid position as an “in-house” advertising copywriter for the Montgomery Ward Company, then only second to Sears as the country’s largest retailer.

His first wife, Evelyn, was Jewish, but I don’t know much more about her. Evelyn and Robert had a daughter, Barbara, who was born in 1934 or 1935. Evelyn contracted cancer in 1937 and Robert May’s life became something of a living hell as he spent his meager salary on cancer treatments as his wife was dying in their small Chicago apartment.

In early 1939, the Montgomery Ward advertising department asked May to write a “cheery Christmas story” that Ward could give away to shoppers for good will and to help spur Christmas sales.

From here, the story gets a little confused. The fairly important role of his daughter, Barbara, in the creation of the Rudolph poem, is found in articles from 1948 and 1949 about May. Barbara is also given a big role in a 1975 article about the writing of Rudolph. This last article was written by Robert May, himself.

However, Barbara is not mentioned or is given a bare mention in virtually every other newspaper piece about Rudolph’s creation between these dates, including one written by May, himself, in 1963.

The 1975 piece, “Rudolph Created in a Time of Sadness,” provides some details not in any other written account. First, May says that his Montgomery Ward boss suggested a Christmas tale about an animal. That suggestion, May said, got him thinking and he remembered his daughter Barbara loved the deer at the Chicago Lincoln Park Zoo. (I found this article in the Bedford, PA Gazette.)

In the 1949 piece, May mentioned that he ran names for the “star deer” of his story by Barbara and she picked Rudolph. In the 1975 piece, this fact is left out. In other accounts, May is reported to have “just considered” a number of names.

In his 1975 article, May writes that after he decided on a deer, and named him Rudolph, he asked an artist in the Montgomery Ward art department, Denver Gillen, to sketch a deer with a big red nose. Gillen, May writes, then accompanied him and Barbara to the zoo to check out actual deer. These became the models for his artwork…

Netanyahu’s Gift to Settler Movement After Snap Election Called: 2,000 New Homes

Authorities in Israel have advanced plans to have nearly 2,200 settlement homes illegally constructed in the occupied West Bank.

A committee within Israel's Defense Ministry charged with handling such projects approved the plans on Tuesday and Wednesday.

A total of 2,191 settlement homes were advanced this week, with 1,038 clearing their final hurdle in the approval process before construction can begin. The remaining homes are still being processed.

Israeli settlements in the West Bank are considered illegal under international law. Members of the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement seek to pressure international governments and companies into dropping business with entities that profit off of illegal Israeli settlements.

Last week, the Israeli government aided a law firm linked to Israel's Mossad intelligence agency to pressure a US-based fundraising platform to ban BDS from using its services, Sputnik News reported.

Airbnb, a home rental platform based in the US, also decided recently to ban home rentals in the West Bank, a move which the company has emphasized was not meant as an endorsement of BDS. Illegally occupied settlements in the Golan Heights and elsewhere, however, remain unaffected.

Settlements are a major political issue in Israel, favored by Israel's ruling right wing. What the decision means for Israel's snap elections, announced on Monday, is unclear. Currently, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also occupies the positions of Foreign Minister, Defense Minister, Immigration Minister and Health Minister and is also the subject of multiple corruption investigations.

Netanyahu met with settlement leaders on Wednesday, reportedly saying of the elections: "We'll see an attempt by the left-wing to overthrow our rule with the help of the media and others."

"They can't succeed, because if they do — that will pose a clear danger to the settlement movement," Netanyahu added.

Israel captured large swathes of Palestinian territory in the 1967 war and continues to illegally occupy East Jerusalem, Syria's Golan Heights, and the West Bank, according to multiple United Nations resolutions.

In 2014, then-Housing Minister Uri Ariel said that 400,000 Israelis have settled in the West Bank and an additional 350,000 have moved into East Jerusalem. According to a 2011 report by the BBC, an estimated 20,000 Israeli settlers live in the Golan Heights, although it isn't clear how that number has been affected by the Syrian civil war breaking out that same year.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, facing a collapse of his coalition and looming legal problems, on Monday announced the dissolution of Israel’s current parliament, with elections set for April 9.

Under Israeli law, elections would ordinarily have been held by November 2019, when Netanyahu’s current four-year term is to end. Early elections, however, had appeared likely ever since Netanyahu’s coalition was left hanging by a parliamentary majority of a single vote following last month’s resignation by Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman.

Netanyahu, who remains by far the most popular party leader in Israel’s rambunctious multiparty polity, faces several steep challenges in the coming months.

Avichai Mandelblit, the Netanyahu-appointed attorney general, whose decision is anticipated in the coming months, recently said he had not yet determined whether a sitting prime minister could stay in office while indicted. This is a situation that has not yet presented itself in Israel, where both a president and a prime minister have resigned when facing almost certain indictment.

Both later served jail sentences.

Netanyahu, who has tried to delay elections, was forced to accept the inevitable when he failed to muster the votes necessary to pass a controversial new law on drafting Orthodox Jewish seminary students into the army.

Netanyahu’s ultra-Orthodox coalition members opposed the law, which would have strengthened current legislation forcing religious young men to participate in the nation's otherwise universal draft of Jewish 18-year-olds. They have long received exemptions so long as they were studying the Torah in the seminaries, known as yeshivas. There was broad popular support for the measure, but two opposition parties that had originally indicated support for the bill withdrew on Monday.

Speaking to his fellow Likud party activists at a hastily arranged gathering at the Knesset, Israel's parliament, Netanyahu foresaw victory in the upcoming elections and stated that his current coalition — the most right-wing in Israeli history and one of the most volatile — will serve as “the seed” for his next government.

Netanyahu made no mention of his upcoming legal woes and ignored the instability in the financial markets that followed President Trump’s unforeseen decision to withdraw American troops from Syria, where they supported Israel’s efforts to repel Iranian entrenchment. Rather, he described “four full years of achievements.”

He praised his government’s achievement as “a growing power, with flourishing diplomatic ties” with nations including India, Australia and Brazil, and extolled an alliance “with the United States that has never been stronger, with the historic decision made by President Trump to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital and move the embassy to Jerusalem.”

An airplane traveling to Chicago was forced to return to Louisville on Wednesday morning due to a mechanical issue.

The American Airline flight left from Louisville International Airport around 9 a.m. and was on its way to Chicago's O'Hare Airport, according to Fly Louisville spokeswoman Sara Brown. She did not have the flight number.

Not long after taking off, the airplane — which was carrying about 70 passengers and crew members — had to turn back to Louisville, Brown said. She declined to say what the mechanical issue was.

Brown said there were no injuries and that an emergency response team was sent to the scene to examine the plane and passengers.

An American Airlines spokesman did not immediately return a request for comment sent via phone or email.

More details on the flight were not immediately available.

Is Revisionism a Threat to National Security?

American military service personnel are now being told that skepticism toward the official history of Europe's Jews during World War II is not permissible. A recently published Department of Defense booklet tells armed forces members that revisionist criticism of the Six Million extermination story is nothing less than a threat to national security.

Entitled Holocaust Revisionism, the booklet instructs military personnel: "A successful fighting force is a cohesive one, one where all members have respect for each other's diversity and dignity. Holocaust revisionism has the potential to destroy that respect."

It goes on to explain:

One of the most important missions that commanders have is the mission to "Protect the Force." Part of that protection requires that we be aware of movements that might weaken the effectiveness of our fighting forces … Holocaust revisionism is a real force, such as racism, hatred, or discrimination, that must be dealt with. Not to deal with it is not to give our members in uniform the support that they need to defend this Nation.

Promoting 'Diversity'

The 20-page booklet was published in June 1996 by the "Research Directorate" of the Defense Equal Opportunity Management Institute (DEOMI) in Florida, a Defense Department branch that promotes and oversees racial preference ("affirmative action") programs, and trains

(indoctrinates) military personnel in "diversity" and "equal employment opportunity."

With the seal of the US Department of Defense on the front cover, this "resource and educational" booklet is printed by the US Government Printing Office. (Although it announces that "local reproduction is authorized and encouraged," general distribution has been inexplicably delayed.) The booklet's author, Captain Carlos C. Huerta, is an orthodox Jewish rabbi who has served as a US Army chaplain at Fort Sill in Oklahoma. Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Huerta has also lived for years in Israel, where he taught at a Jewish school in Jerusalem.

Smears Instead of Refutation

Typical of anti-revisionist writings, this booklet makes no effort to fairly present revisionist arguments, much less to contend with revisionist scholarship. As Huerta explains in the introduction: "We will not refute revisionism here but merely report its many activities. Refuting revisionism is similar to refuting racism, raisa ipso locutor, the thing speaks for itself "

Rather than refute, Huerta disparages, distorts and twists. In the booklet's opening sentence, he brusquely slurs the Institute for Historical Review (IHR), a leading revisionist publishing and research center, as a "pseudo-historical society" whose "main operational concept … [is] the misrepresentation of historical truths by those with a hidden agenda." He also calls the IHR "one of the biggest disseminators of revisionist and racist literature in the country." Without a shred of evidence, he asserts that "some European revisionists seek to hurt what they perceive as non-Aryan Europeans, and hate anything that is not a mirror image of themselves."

Today is December 26th, the Feast of St. Stephen. Stephen was one of the first seven Catholic deacons and the first martyr. The apostles had ordained seven deacons to help with the daily care of the poor and widowed. Stephen was stoned to death by the Jews around A.D. 34-35 for exposing their wrongdoing. This might explain WHY Putin was flying bombers up and down the coasts of USA, Britain, France, Alaska,east/west coast, a couple years back when Hussein was Potus. My point being, after reading f_i anons repost, it makes sense that Putin would let Hussein know that he knows what is going on at that time.

I read those stories, seemed to be one a month, of Putin “taunting NATO/West by flying bombers close to borders” without encroaching, but driving home his point. His point being, “hey black hats, I know what you’re up to, make a wrong move and I’ll take ya out first”
