This is viewed as disrespectful to other anons, as there are limits on each thread to the number of replies. This is especially rude when their posts are repeated between threads that could easily be compressed into one post (by linking to prior posts as a courtesy.)

Natalia Fileva dead: One of Russia's richest women killed in private jet crash

One of the richest women in Russia has been killed in a private jet crash along with the pilot and another passenger.

Natalia Fileva, chairwoman and co-owner of Russia's second largest airline S7, died in the tragedy earlier today near Frankfurt, the company said.

The jet crashed and caught fire when it was landing at Egelsbach Airport. All three on board were killed.

Two others aged 22 and 24 also died in a car crash involving a police car which was on its way to the scene, according to German police and website Bild.

Three officers were seriously injured and taken to hospital.

A police spokesman confirmed the six-seater aircraft was en route from France when it came down near Egelsbach and caught fire.

Pictures from the scene show debris everywhere and the jet completely destroyed.

Photos also show several crushed cars from the collision nearby.

Russian and international authorities have launched an investigation.

According to witnesses, police said they heard a plane with stuttering engine noise, website Bild reported.

The private jet was flying from Cannes in France and disappeared from radars at 1.22GMT, data from a flight tracker Flighradar24 states.

There is no information yet on what caused the crash, said S7, Russia's second-largest airline after Aeroflot.

Natalia, 55, was last year estimated by Forbes to be worth $600 million. It is understood she has three children.

A two-year investigation by The Sunday Times revealed that a network of British Asians stole billions of pounds of public money through VAT and benefit fraud, topping up their gains with mortgage and credit card fraud.

One per cent on the group’s gains, a full £80m (NZ$ 153m), was allegedly funnelled into al-Qaeda in Pakistan and Afghanistan, with funds reaching the Pakistani compound stormed by US special forces in the 2011 operation to kill Bin Laden.

The scale of the scam is breathtaking: the group netted around £8bn in public funds alone – almost triple the annual government expenditure on MI5, MI6 and GCHQ.

A web of secrecy still binds this investigation, which was led by HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) and Special Branch, and prevents the story from being told in full.

At least two years before the 7/7 attacks, HMRC identified ties between the gang defrauding the British public and Shehzad Tanweer, one of the terrorists involved. At the time, senior HMRC officials declined to use their intelligence to mount prosecutions and the gang.

Court orders barring the identification of gang members convicted of fraud date back at least 10 years, and one customs official has claimed they were prevented from sharing intelligence with MI5 due to HMRC’s desire to keep tax records confidential.

Following the money led investigators to successfully charge mid-ranking gang members with fraud and money laundering, leading to jail terms of more than 100 years for crimes that cost the taxpayer £100m.

So far, no gang member has faced any terror charges.

LOS ANGELES – One person was killed and two others were wounded in a shooting at the Los Angeles store owned by rapper Nipsey Hussle.

The shooting was reported around 3:20 p.m. in the 3400 block of Slauson Avenue in Hyde Park. Hussle owns a store called Marathon Clothing at 3420 W. Slauson.

The Pentagon is planning to cut its combat force in northeastern Syria in half by early May, or to about 1,000 troops, and then pause the entire withdrawal process, the New York Times reported on March 29, citing U.S. officials.

Last December, U.S. President Donald Trump ordered the complete withdrawal of his country’s forces from Syria. “We continue to implement the president’s direction to draw down U.S. forces to a residual presence in a deliberate and coordinated manner … This work is ongoing and, for operational security reasons, we will not discuss specific U.S. troop numbers or drawdown timelines,” Col. Ryder said in an email to the New York-based outlet.

The U.S. decision to stay in Syria will likely escalate the tension in the country. Turkey is already preparing for a possible military operation in northeastern Syria, while the Damascus government had warned U.S. proxies that it is willing to recapture its territory by force, if necessary.

Ukrainian Man Extradited to the United States to Face Charges in International Money Laundering and Fraud Scheme

Money Mule Operation Allegedly Effectuated the Theft and Laundering of at Least $2.8 Million

South Korean authorities extradited to the United States a Ukrainian man in connection with allegations that he conducted an extensive money laundering and fraud campaign that targeted dozens of victims, including a corporation based in the Western District of North Carolina.

Assistant Attorney General Brian A. Benczkowski of the Justice Department’s Criminal Division, U.S. Attorney R. Andrew Murray of the Western District of North Carolina and Special Agent in Charge John A. Strong of the FBI’s Charlotte Field Office made the announcement.

Aleksandr Musienko, aka “Oleksandr Serhiyovych Musiyenko,” “Robert Davis,” and “Ply,” a Ukrainian national, was charged in a recently unsealed indictment with one count of wire fraud, one count of bank fraud, one count of money laundering conspiracy and two counts of money laundering. Musienko had been traveling in South Korea, when, at the U.S. government’s request, South Korean officials arrested him on the charges out of the Western District of North Carolina. South Korean officials extradited Musienko to the United States on March 28. Musienko will make his initial appearance at 1:45 p.m. today before U.S. District Court Magistrate Judge David S. Cayer.

According to the indictment, Musienko is charged with engaging in an extensive international money laundering and fraud scheme targeting U.S. corporations and individuals. He is alleged to have begun the scheme in 2009 and continued it through at least 2012.

In particular, Musienko allegedly partnered with overseas cybercriminals who had hacked into, and stole funds from, online bank accounts belonging to a large number of individual and corporate victims in the United States. One victim was a business based in the Western District of North Carolina. Musienko operated a network of “money mules” throughout the United States. According to the indictment, using aliases that included “Robert Davis” and phony front companies that included “Vita Finance AG” and “Hilpert AG,” Musienko recruited money mules throughout the United States using a variety of fraudulent techniques, including by advertising bogus “employment” opportunities to work as “Financial Assistants.” He promised to pay the money mules a fee of approximately five percent for each overseas wire transfer they completed.

Once Musienko had his network of money mules in place, Musienko then offered his money mule services to his cybercriminal partners to assist them in transferring stolen funds. He directed his “money mules” to use their own bank accounts to receive and then transfer proceeds from the compromised bank accounts overseas. As alleged in the indictment, Musienko’s criminal money mule operation effectuated the theft and laundering of at least $2.8 million from 2009 to 2012.

The investigation was conducted by the FBI Charlotte Field Office. The Justice Department’s Office of International Affairs provided significant support with the defendant’s extradition and with obtaining evidence from South Korea. Senior Trial Attorney Mona Sedky of the Criminal Division’s Computer Crime and Intellectual Property Section and Assistant U.S. Attorney Taylor Phillips of the Western District of North Carolina are prosecuting the case.

An indictment is merely an allegation. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
