NY Releases Level 3 Sex Offenders Convicted of Raping Minors - Part of COVID Response

 

One of the most confounding things about liberals is their penchant for releasing

dangerous criminals back onto the streets any time they get the chance, and it seems the coronavirus pandemic is as good an excuse as any to free even more miscreants.

 

The latest to get in on the coronavirus prisoner release fun is the Monroe County Jail in western New York, which was required by a statewide edict from the Department of Corrections and Community Supervision to release about 50 inmates, according to WROC-TV in Rochester.

These aren’t just any garden-variety petty thieves or drug users.

 

Among those released, at least four are registered sex offenders, three of whom are considered Level 3 offenders — meaning they have been convicted of raping minors and are deemed by the state as most likely to reoffend.

If that wasn’t bad enough, nine of the prisoners — including the sex offenders — are being housed at a Holiday Inn Express in Greece, New York, the report said.

 

The police chief of that town, Patrick Phelan, is just as confused by this insanity as the rest of us.

Judge Deals Blow To Texas Abortion Policy After Governor Declares It ‘Non-Essential’

 

Judge Lee Yeakel, who serves on the United States District Court for Western District of Texas, ruled Monday that abortion clinics must temporarily remain open and cannot be prohibited from performing non-medically necessary abortions as a public health measure.

According to Politico, Judge Yeakel maintained that the Supreme Court has already ruled against enshrining an “outright ban” on abortions, and equated the state’s desire to limit access to the procedure to an effective ban.

“Regarding a woman’s right to a pre-fetal-viability abortion, the Supreme Court has spoken clearly. There can be no outright ban on such a procedure,” said Judge Yeakel, reports the news agency.

“This court will not speculate on whether the Supreme Court included a silent ‘except-in-a-national-emergency clause’ in its previous writings on the issue,” said Judge Yeakel.

The New York Times reports that the procedure has been given temporary amnesty within the state until the courts can fully decide whether temporary abortion bans on non-medically necessary abortions can continue amidst the coronavirus pandemic.

Last week, Governor Gregg Abbott (R-TX) temporarily banned abortion clinics from continuing to perform them, arguing that such procedures were “non-essential” and that allowing them to continue would unnecessarily diminish the state’s medical supplies.

As NBC News reports, multiple states have enacted emergency policies that prohibit abortion clinics from performing them during the coronavirus pandemic, but the policies have been challenged by abortion advocates.

“We cannot let anti-abortion activists dictate public health policy. A global pandemic is not an excuse to attack essential, time-sensitive medical procedures like abortion,” said Alexis McGill Johnson, acting president of Planned Parenthood, the organization that filed the lawsuit against Texas, reports the news agency.

Ohio: Kids Abused After Child "Protection" Services Puts them In Home With Sex Abuse Suspects

 

Another day, another episode of incompetence from our lovely overlords at a government bureau. This time, child welfare officials in Dayton, Ohio, placed children in a home of not one, but two sexual abuse suspects that were under police investigation. Not surprisingly, those children later reported that they were also abused.

Dayton Daily News reports:

 

Montgomery County Children Services placed a 4-year-old girl into a home with two known sex assault suspects, a Dayton police report says, and kept the child in the home after the girl and her 5-year-old brother said she was sexually abused there.

 

The report obtained by the Dayton Daily News says Dayton police launched their investigation when school staff alerted officers of the potential sexual abuse. Dayton police say the investigation is ongoing, though the allegations extend back to 2018.

In the sex abuse case, Dayton police officers found Children Services removed the sister and brother in November 2017 to get them out of a household where their mother was the victim of domestic violence. Children Services placed the children with their grandfather, who had twice been charged with rape but not convicted, although he was convicted of domestic violence and a suspect in two other sexual assault cases.

Already living in the home was a teenager placed there by Children Services because the teen sexually assaulted a 5-year-old family member in another county, the report says.

The 4-year-old first told her mother that her grandfather was abusing her during a visitation in July 2018, shortly before the mother was to regain custody. The mother told the caseworker about the allegation, according to the police report, but the caseworker allegedly didn’t follow orders to schedule a forensic examination, left the girl in the home with the grandfather and then continued court-mandated visitations between the grandfather and the children after the mother got the kids back.

In response to questions from the Dayton Daily News, Montgomery County Children Services officials said they conducted an internal review of the case but would not release the outcome of that review or comment on the case, saying agency records are confidential under state law.

Personnel records obtained by the Dayton Daily News show she received a Letter of Instruction in April 2019 for not adhering to the agency’s mandated reporting policy in July 2018. She remains employed at the agency.

The letter of instruction says that if an agency employee is notified that a child is a victim or at risk of being a victim of abuse or neglect by a parent, guardian or custodian, the employee must immediately contact the agency’s intake screening unit. It says they must then immediately fax over a report and notify a supervisor.

No records of any other Children Services employee being disciplined for how this case was handled were given to the Dayton Daily News in response to a public records request.

US Gov't Partners with Johnson & Johnson To Prep for 1 Billion Coronavirus Vaccine Doses

 

Pharmaceutical giant Johnson & Johnson is partnering with the U.S. government to produce up to 1 billion doses of a coronavirus vaccine for use around the world by the end of next year.

Asked on NBC’s “Today” on Monday how quickly the first vaccines could be available, CEO Alex Gorsky replied, “This is like a moonshot for us.”

 

“What would usually take five to seven years, we expect to be able to accomplish in five to seven months,” he said.

 

The company is working directly with the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority at the Department of Health and Human Services.

 

“We have a candidate that has a high degree of probability of being successful against the COVID-19 virus,” Gorsky said.

 

“Now we also, very important, we’ve got the production capabilities to be able to ramp up production of this in a relatively short period of time so it can become available.”

 

Gorsky said he anticipates starting human testing in September and having interim study results by early next year.

 

The Johnson & Johnson leader said the company plans to start production of the vaccine even before it has the study’s results.

“Literally within the next few days and weeks, we’re going to start ramping up production of these vaccines as well, and we should be able to have several hundred million doses available by the middle of next year. Our goal is to have a billion prepared by the end of 2021,” he said.

Forbes reported that Johnson & Johnson entered into the $1 billion deal with the federal government to develop the vaccine late last week.

 

Under the terms of the agreement, the government will pay $456 million and Johnson & Johnson will cover the rest of the cost for the vaccine’s research, development and testing.

“Today” co-host Savannah Guthrie highlighted that Johnson & Johnson and other companies entering into these agreements with the government are taking a risk by producing the vaccine before even knowing if it’s effective.

“Look, that’s what we have to do in this case,” Gorsky replied.

 

“We’re going to do everything possible to make sure we have a safe, effective, vaccine available in the kind of quantities that can really make a difference,” he said.

Johnson & Johnson’s chief scientific officer, Dr. Paul Stoffels, also confirmed to Reuters that going to production before the vaccine is approved “is the only option for us to get it on time.”

 

Gorsky said his company is doing everything possible to try to accelerate the process to get a vaccine to the public.

COMEX Can't Find Any 400 Oz Bars For Its New Gold Futures Contract

 

With continuing problems besieging the tag team COMEX – LBMA paper gold markets where the front month gold futures contract (now June) continues to trade above the London spot price of price, the contango that emerged a week ago between the New York – London ‘gold price discovery’ duopoly shows no sign of abating. While the pricing suggests that the core ailment relates to bullion bank liquidity problems faced by market makers in the London ‘gold’ market, this didn’t stop the London Bullion Market Association (LBMA) rushing out a statement last Tuesday, March 24, in an attempt to shift focus to CME’s COMEX, saying that:

 

Notwithstanding that on Tuesday 23 March, the London market had seen gold bid-ask spot spreads blowing out to US$ 100 and LBMA market makers breaching their responsibility to actively provide two-way price quotations, the LBMA forged ahead with pinning the blame on COMEX, and bizarrely offered to support COMEX to ‘facilitate physical delivery in New York’. What this meant, said LBMA-embedded news wire Reuters, was that: “the LBMA and executives at major gold-trading banks asked CME to allow 400-ounce bars to be used to settle Comex contracts” Next day, Wednesday March 25, the CME played out its part of the script, announcing the launch of a “new gold futures contract with expanded delivery options that include 100-troy ounce, 400-troy ounce and 1-kilo gold bars” but a contract which still has a unit size of 100 ounces, identical to the COMEX flagship GC 100 contract.

 

Who launches a new exchange traded product in the middle of the biggest financial crisis for generations? Only a set of panicking bankers it would seem. And who has a fully developed new gold futures contract waiting in the wings to roll out the day after the gold market blows up? The same panicking bankers. Unbelievably, the CME has christened this new contract as the ‘Gold (Enhanced Delivery) futures contract” (code 4GC) which will, according to the CME script “enable delivery in New York City of Kilo, 100 oz and 400 oz bar sizes for maximum flexibility.” With COMEX gold futures de facto physically deliverable in name only and loco London gold never delivered on to the COMEX despite the disinformation campaign from the LBMA, the last thing on the minds of the CME-LBMA axis is ‘delivery in New York City’.

 

While the mechanics of the new 4GC contract are left for future analysis, some people may be asking how can a 400 oz gold bar, the kind that are held by central banks, be used to physically settle a gold futures contract with a unit size of 100 ozs. For that the CME has rolled out one of its more sleight of hand tricks, introducing the CME’s Accumulated Certificates of Exchange (“ACE”) mechanism, an illusion which Penn and Teller would be proud of. “A 400 oz bar”, says the CME “cannot be used to facilitate delivery of a single contract with a unit size of 100 oz due to its larger size.”

 

This means there are ZERO ounces of gold in the COMEX vaults in the form of 400 oz gold bars.

 

A totally new meaning to holding all the ACEs.

So what does all of this mean? Is there not even one vaulted 400 oz gold bar in the whole of New York? Why is COMEX rushing in a new contract deliverable in 400 oz gold bars when it is reporting that there are zero 400 oz gold bars in its approved vaults. Is this all just a smoke and mirrors exercise with the bullion bankers in London and New York laughing over champagne as mainstream new reports claim the very same bankers are scrambling to charter private jets laden with gold bars from London to New York?

And finally, are JP Morgan vault staff currently scrambling to rush 400 oz gold bars across the tunnel between the NY Fed gold vault and Chase Manhattan gold vault under Liberty Street in southern Manhattan? Inquiring minds would like to know.

A study by international relief agency Tearfund is the first to quantify the amount of plastic waste burnt in Brazil, Nigeria, Mexico, India, China and The Philippines.

 

The plastic being burnt by the giant corporations creates emissions equivalent to 4.6 million tonnes of CO2 every year - the same as 2 million cars on UK roads.

 

Coca-Cola was the worst of the four companies - with 200,000 tonnes of plastic or about eight billion bottles burnt or dumped in those countries annually.

 

A spokesperson for Coca-Cola said they are talking to TearFund and 'recognise that we have a responsibility to help solve the situation to reduce plastic waste.'

NJ governor begrudgingly reverses his gun store shutdown after Trump admin labels them 'essential' businesses

 

New Jersey Democratic Gov. Phil Murphy reversed his order to force the closure of gun stores in the state Monday following backlash from gun-rights groups and a directive from the Trump administration.

 

Gun stores will now be allowed to reopen after a nearly two-week shutdown, but would operate "by appointment only and under limited hours."

Murphy made the announcement begrudgingly in a news conference Monday, saying the reversal came after the Department of Homeland Security issued guidelines over the weekend referring to gun dealers, ranges, and manufacturers as "essential" businesses.

 

"It wouldn't be my definition, but that's the definition at the federal level and I didn't get a vote on that," Murphy said during the briefing, according to NJ.com.

Murphy issued an executive order on March 21 that closed all nonessential retail businesses — including gun stores — amid the state's coronavirus outbreak. The order effectively shut down all firearm sales in the state as the online portal used to process background checks was also forced to close.

 

"The exigencies surrounding this viral pandemic both justify and necessitate changes in the manner in which people live their lives and conduct their daily business," the lawsuit stated. "However, this emergency (like any other emergency) has its constitutional limits. It would not justify a prior restraint on speech, nor a suspension of the right to vote. Just the same, it does not justify a ban on obtaining guns and ammunition."

In spite of the lawsuit, Murphy had previously lauded the order's effect on gun retailers, arguing during a press briefing that "a safer society for my taste has fewer guns and not more guns."

"The guns that do exist are at the hands of the right people, particularly trained members of law enforcement," he added at the time. "Crime has been down and let's hope it stays down, but we're very comfortable where we landed on that."

Murphy's recent reversal on the forced closure of gun stores follows in the footsteps of a similar decision by Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf, who backed off his previous executive order after taking heat from Second Amendment supporters in his state.

Turkey's Halkbank pleads not guilty to US criminal charges

 

Turkey’s state-owned Halkbank on Tuesday pleaded not guilty to criminal charges in a federal court in Manhattan that it helped Iran evade US sanctions, in a case that has strained relations between the United States and Turkey.

 

The plea – to charges including conspiracy, bank fraud, and money laundering – was entered by the bank’s US lawyer at a hearing conducted by telephone conference because of the coronavirus pandemic.

 

US prosecutors have accused Halkbank of using money servicers and front companies in Iran, Turkey and the United Arab Emirates to evade sanctions through sham transactions in gold, food, and medicine.

 

The charges, announced last October, followed related charges brought by prosecutors against nine individuals since 2016.

 

They included former Halkbank executive Mehmet Hakan Atilla, who was convicted in the same federal court in Manhattan in January 2018 after another defendant, wealthy Turkish-Iranian gold trader Reza Zarrab pleaded guilty and testified against him.

 

Atilla returned to Turkey last year after leaving prison and became general manager of the Istanbul Stock Exchange.

Afghan Govt Announces Another Delay in Taliban Prisoner Release

 

First releases were scheduled for Tuesday, now won't happen

 

Over the past two weeks, one of the most hopeful signs on intra-Afghan talks was related to prisoner releases. The Taliban said they were told releases would come by the end of March, which is Tuesday. The Afghan government, however, now says no one will be released on Tuesday.

 

Afghan officials are calling this another “delay” to the prisoner release, though they aren’t saying anything about why this delay happened. It appears the government is angry that the Taliban rejected their peace negotiation team, and wants the Taliban’s own negotiators on hand to talk.

 

The Ghani negotiating team has questions surrounding it because Ghani and Abdullah Abdullah are both claiming the presidency, and it’s not clear which of the two, if either, can really negotiate with the Taliban right now.

 

Since the Taliban expect the talks to begin only after the prisoner releases, that may be putting the cart before the horse anyhow, as it’s likely to be many months before the releases have progressed to the point that talks could really begin.

(Janssen) announced today that the company has entered into a definitive collaboration and license agreement with Bavarian Nordic to leverage their MVA-BN® technology, jointly with Janssen’s own AdVac® technology, in the development and commercialization of a heterologous prime-boost vaccine for the treatment of Human Papillomavirus (HPV) chronic infections which can lead to cancer. Under this agreement, Janssen will conduct all clinical development and, subject to regulatory approval, will be responsible for registration, distribution and commercialization of the potential combination vaccine worldwide.

 

Despite a recent focus on the prevention of infection for certain HPV types, a large population remains at risk of HPV-related cancers.

FBI’s Wiretap’s Go Beyond Trump Aide Surveillance, Inspector General Says

 

According to the Inspector General for the Department of Justice, in his review, the FBI has botched surveillance applications in its national-security investigations.

 

On Tuesday Inspector General Michael J. Horowitz says that he uncovered pervasive problems in F.B.I wiretap applications, according to a memo released on Tuesday detailing the review. The review came after his damning report last year about errors and omissions in applications to target former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page.

 

Here is one of the most damning statements from the Inspector General’s office.

 

“Nevertheless, we believe that a deficiency in the FBI’s efforts to support the factual statements in FISA applications through its Woods Procedures undermines the FBI’s ability to achieve its “scrupulously accurate” standard for FISA applications.”

 

“As you are aware, in December 2019 my office issued a report examining four Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) applications—an initial application and three renewal applications—targeting a U.S. Person and other aspects of the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s (FBI) “Crossfire Hurricane” investigation (“December 2019 FISA Report”).1 As detailed in our report, among other things, we identified fundamental and serious errors in the agents’ conduct of the FBI’s factual accuracy review procedures (“Woods Procedures”) with regard to all four FISA applications. We found, for example, numerous instances where the Woods File did not include supporting documentation for factual assertions contained in the FISA applications, as required by FBI policy. Additionally, we determined that the Woods File did not contain, as also required by FBI policy, documentation from the Confidential Human Source’s (CHS) handling agent stating that the handling agent had reviewed the facts presented in the FISA application regarding the CHS’s reliability and background, and that the facts presented were accurate. We further found that the FBI had failed to follow its policies for re-verifying factual assertions made in the initial FISA application that were also included in the three FISA renewal applications.

McConnell: Impeachment distracted government from coronavirus threat

 

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) on Tuesday blamed the Democrats’ push to impeach President Trump in January for distracting the Trump administration from the threat posed by the coronavirus.

 

“It came up while we were tied down in the impeachment trial. And I think it diverted the attention of the government because everything every day was all about impeachment,” McConnell said in an interview on “The Hugh Hewitt Show.”

 

Trump has come under sharp criticism for the nation’s slow response to the spreading pandemic, especially for the shortage of coronavirus testing kits when the virus first spread to the United States.

 

More than 160,000 Americans have tested positive for COVID-19 and more than 3,000 people have died from the virus in the country.

 

McConnell told Hewitt that he has not heard any new reports about senators being diagnosed with coronavirus.

 

Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) missed a vote on the $2 trillion economic relief package after being diagnosed with COVID-19, and four other Republican senators placed themselves in quarantine last week out of caution for potential exposure.

 

China reported its first known death due to the coronavirus on Jan. 11, after researchers in the country discovered a new, unknown disease had infected dozens of people.

 

By Jan. 20, countries outside of China, including Japan and South Korea, reported the virus had spread, and on Jan. 23, Chinese authorities sealed off the city of Wuhan, where the virus first emerged.

 

The World Health Organization declared a global health emergency on Jan. 30, and on Jan. 31, the Trump administration blocked foreign nationals who had traveled to China in the previous two weeks from entering the United States. However, the immediate family members of U.S. citizens and permanent residents were allowed back to the U.S.

 

Trump has been criticized for not taking the virus seriously enough at first.

 

The president told CNBC’s Joe Kernen on Jan. 22 at the World Economic Forum in Davos: “It’s one person coming in from China. We have it under control. It’s going to be just fine.”

 

Trump also said he trusted information coming from the Chinese government, telling the CNBC host, “I have a great relationship with President Xi.”

 

At the time, few lawmakers were focused on the emerging threat.

 

Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.), who also appeared on “The Hugh Hewitt Show” Tuesday, said he started studying the potential impact of the virus in late January.

As of Tuesday morning, the Pelosi stock purchase had already earned the couple $1.1 million in less than 10 weeks. The Amazon share price climbed close to $2,000 on Tuesday. Paul Pelosi, the speaker’s husband, got in at a price of $1,600 per share and grabbed 3,000 shares on Jan. 17, according to financial disclosure filings.

 

Additionally, Paul Pelosi held 40 additional call options on Amazon stock too and sold those on Jan. 17 as well, netting him between $500,000 and $1 million, filings shows.

Biden Labor Ally Accused of Stealing Millions From Union

A close political ally of Joe Biden stands accused at the highest levels of misappropriating millions from a leading firefighters union.

Not only was $1 million siphoned from the union’s pension fund, but $6 million remains unaccounted for, according to an internal probe obtained by the Washington Free Beacon.

 

The Washington Free Beacon’s Yuichiro Kakutani reports:

Harold Schaitberger, the president of the International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF), which represents more than 300,000 firefighters, is facing accusations of corruption and gross financial malpractice from his closest deputies. Edward Kelly, the general secretary-treasurer and the number two of the union, detailed the findings of his team’s audit in a March 20 internal memorandum.

According to the 105-page document, the audit has thus far found that Schaitberger and Thomas Miller—Kelly’s predecessor as the general secretary-treasurer—illegally earned millions of dollars from the union pension fund over the last two decades.

“The record keeping performed prior to my assuming office in September 2016 was so poor, one could argue it was designed that way,” Kelly wrote in the memorandum.

 

Kelly’s audit also found that the union misreported millions of dollars in union funds while diverting millions of dollars for a purpose unrelated to their original designation. As a result of this rampant financial malpractice, roughly $6 million in union funds remain unaccounted for, according to the memorandum.

Neither the union nor Schaitberger responded to requests for comment.

 

Schaitberger spearheaded the charge to get the 320,000 member organization to become the first national union to endorse Biden’s presidential campaign in April 2019. Despite its members’ history of tending to vote for Democrats, the 2016 presidential election saw their vote evenly split between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton. After Schaitberger’s successful push to endorse, more than 18,000 members formally complained, demanding the IAFF retract its endorsement.

 

The results of the probe and calls for a more in-depth investigation threaten to divide the union further.

 

As of this article’s publication, the Biden campaign has not responded to requests for comment.

This review piggybacks on a damning report released in December that found errors and omissions in a FISA application and its renewals that targeted former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page as part of the government’s investigation into Russian interference.

 

"As a result of our audit work to date and as described below, we do not have confidence that the FBI has executed its Woods Procedures in compliance with FBI policy," Horowitz wrote in a management advisory memorandum to Wray. "Specifically, the Woods Procedures mandate compiling supporting documentation for each fact in the FISA application. Adherence to the Woods Procedures should result in such documentation as a means toward achievement of the FBI’s policy that FISA applications be 'scrupulously accurate.'"

Out of a selected sample of 29 FISA applications, the FBI was unable to locate Woods Files for four or a reason they weren't completed. Horowitz and his team found an average of 20 issues per each of the other 25 applications they reviewed. In other words, he discovered problems with all the applications he studied.

 

“While our review of these issues and follow-up with case agents is still ongoing—and we have not made materiality judgments for these or other errors or concerns we identified—at this time we have identified an average of about 20 issues per application reviewed, with a high of approximately 65 issues in one application and less than 5 issues in another application,” Horowitz found.

Baruch Feldheim, 43, was arrested on Monday for allegedly hoarding desperately needed medical supplies including 80,000 N95 masks which he was selling at a 700% markup.

 

When the FBI came to arrest him, he coughed on them and claimed he had the coronavirus.

 

According to a Department of Justice press release, Feldheim was hoarding enough medical supplies "to outfit an entire hospital."

NEWARK, N.J. – A Brooklyn man was arrested today for allegedly coughing on FBI agents while claiming to have COVID-19, and with lying to them about his accumulation and sale of surgical masks, medical gowns, and other medical supplies, U.S. Attorney Craig Carpenito announced.

 

Baruch Feldheim, 43, was arrested by special agents of the FBI today and charged by complaint with assaulting a federal officer and with making false statements to law enforcement. Feldheim is scheduled to have his initial appearance this afternoon before U.S. Magistrate Judge Michael A. Hammer in Newark federal court.

 

According to documents filed in this case and statements made in court:

 

On March 25, 2020, the Department of Health and Human Services issued an executive order designating certain scarce health and medical resources necessary to respond to the spread of the Coronavirus. Those designated materials included N95 filtering face-piece respirators, personal protection equipment (PPE) face masks, surgical masks, sterilization services, and disinfecting devices, among other things.

 

Feldheim allegedly sold certain designated materials, including N95 respirators, to doctors and nurses at inflated prices. In one instance, on March 18, 2020, a doctor in New Jersey contacted Feldheim via a WhatsApp chat group labeled “Virus2020!” Feldheim agreed to sell to the doctor approximately 1,000 N95 masks and other assorted materials for $12,000, an approximately 700 percent markup from the normal price charged for those materials. Feldheim directed the doctor to an auto repair shop in Irvington, New Jersey, to pick up the order. According to the doctor, the repair shop contained enough materials, including hand sanitizers, Clorox wipes, chemical cleaning supply agents, and surgical supplies, to outfit an entire hospital. Feldheim later told the doctor that he had been forced to move all of those supplies from Irvington to another location.

 

On March 23, 2020, Feldheim allegedly offered to sell a nurse a quantity of surgical gowns and directed the nurse to his residence in Brooklyn. Feldheim also received, on March 25, 2020, a shipment from Canada containing approximately eight pallets of medical facemasks. Royal Dutch Shell (RDS-A) has withdrawn from a major U.S. liquefied natural gas, or LNG, plant project under development in Lake Charles, La., due to the crash in energy prices.

 

Brent crude, the international oil price benchmark, has dropped to its lowest level in 18 years, trading at about $26 a barrel as of Tuesday afternoon, while West Texas Intermediate crude is priced at only $20. Natural gas prices have fallen to the lowest level in 25 years.

 

"This decision is consistent with the initiatives we announced last week to preserve cash and reinforce the resilience of our business," said Maarten Wetselaar, head of Shell’s integrated gas and new energies division. “Whilst we continue to believe in the long-term viability and advantages of the [LNG] project, the time is not right for Shell to invest.”

 

Energy Transfer (ET) of Dallas, Tex., remains committed to the LNG project and will take over as its lead developer, Executive Vice President Tom Mason said. (Shell noted it will help Energy Transfer with the bidding process for a general contractor at the project).

 

The Lake Charles facility is one of a number LNG export projects across the globe that have been postponed because of the collapse in global energy prices.

 

“It’s telling that [Shell], a major [oil company] would walk away from a major outlet for long-term gas supply,” said Ira Joseph, head of global gas and power analytics at S&P Global Platts, adding that storage, port and pipeline work were already in place at the Lake Charles project.

 

Last week, Shell said it will reduce capital spending by $5 billion to less than $20 billion in 2020 and also suspended its $25 billion share buyback plan as it tries to cope with collapsing oil prices. The oil giant also plans on cutting its operating costs by between $3 billion and $4 billion this year.

He served as the dialect coach on "Avengers: Endgame," 'Robin Hood,' 'Sherlock Holmes,' "Alien v. Predator," "Lord of the Rings," "Die Another Day," "Eastern Promises," "Captain America," "Men in Black: International" and on and on and on.

CBS News said an "an editing mistake" led to the network airing footage of an Italian hospital during a segment on New York’s coronavirus crisis in a statement to the Daily Caller on Monday.

 

"CBS This Morning" discussed Democratic New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo's allegation that the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) only gave the state 400 ventilators when they needed 30,000 on March 25. The network aired footage of a crowded Italian hospital room that was reported by Sky News on March 22 during a segment on hospitals in the country.

 

"It was an editing mistake. We took immediate steps to remove it from all platforms and shows," a CBS spokesperson said in a statement to the Daily Caller.

Last week, Judicial Watch released 80 pages of new emails recently found by the FBI that further reveal how former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton used her insecure home-brew server to house and transmit classified and sensitive government information. This came after Judicial Watch released 37 pages of new Hillary Clinton emails in January.

 

"Magically, after years, the FBI finds more Clinton emails that are classified, involve Benghazi, and detail communications with President Obama," Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton said in a statement. "This drip, drip game that the DOJ, FBI, and State are playing is a key reason a federal court authorized more discovery, including the sworn deposition of Hillary Clinton."

 

An August 29, 2011 email includes a document entitled "Talking Points for POTUS" for a briefing that day. The talking points are completely redacted.

 

This latest release follows a January release of 37 pages Hillary Clinton emails that also show the presence of classified information on Clinton's home-brew server. The State Department de-classified the emails on January 8, 2020. The emails also show Clinton used text messages to conduct official business.

 

"Magically, after years, the FBI finds more Clinton emails that show Clinton used text messages for government work, not to mention the continuing flow of classified information transmitted over her unsecure email system," Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton said in a statement at the time. "These documents further underscore the need for a fresh, unbiased and thorough criminal investigation into Clinton’s blatant malfeasance – and the related DOJ, FBI, and State Department cover-up."

 

Clinton repeatedly claimed that the 55,000 pages of documents she turned over to the State Department in December 2014 included all of her work-related emails. In a Judicial Watch case, she declared under penalty of perjury that she had "directed that all my emails on clintonemail.com in my custody that were or are potentially federal records be provided to the Department of State, and on information and belief, this has been done." Yet Clinton tried to destroy 33,000 government emails.

 

The State Department did not explain where the newly released emails were found, why they were not previously produced, or if any additional records are expected. The State Department originally claimed all emails pertaining to the Judicial Watch Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) inquiries had been produced in 2018, but then State discovered more emails which they handed over last year. State first notified the court that the FBI had found this latest batch of emails last November.

 

Judicial Watch had to file a FOIA lawsuit to obtain these emails, along with all of Clinton's government emails sent or received on her secret server.

“Holocaust survivors came to the United States seeking refuge from unimaginable horrors. They have lived their lives here and enriched our nation. With an average age of 85, we have an obligation to provide Holocaust survivors the community support and special services they need to live out their final days,” Cardin said in a statement.

More than 300 national, state and local organizations – most Jewish organizations including Jewish federations, Holocaust education organizations and synagogues – signed a letter of support for the legislation

There are about 80,000 Holocaust survivors living in the United States, with one-third of them living at or below the poverty line. Aging Holocaust survivors have needs similar to other older Americans, but institutionalized settings, with confined spaces or restrictions on food, can induce panic, anxiety, and re-traumatization due to their Holocaust experiences, the bill notes.

The bill would include Holocaust survivors as a designated group with the greatest social need within the Older Americans Act; promote technical assistance and training for nonprofits that serve older adults experiencing the long-effects of trauma; and ensure that the providers of nutrition services through the Older Americans Act can meet the special dietary needs of Holocaust survivors when there is sufficient demand in a community. “

 

You read that right: apparently “forcing” old Jews to live in nursing homes like the rest of Americans “re-traumatizes” them and brings back unpleasant memories of living in concentration camps. So to avoid this “trauma,” American taxpayers will now foot the bill to keep them in their own homes by providing expensive in-home private nursing care around the clock. This is yet another example of jewish exceptionalism, otherwise known as “white privilege”.

And this is why it is absolutely crucial that the so-called Holocaust be exposed for the criminal shakedown operation that it is.

Apparently, America doesn’t have the same “obligation” to provide such expensive care to WWII veterans to risked their lives to defeat the Germans on behalf of world Jewry. Jodey Arrington (R-TX), Thomas Massie (R-KY), Ralph Norman (R-SC), Tom Rice (R-SC) and Justin Amash (I-MI) were the only members of Congress who voted against the bill. In a press release, Norman cited his “views on the role of the federal government and its lack of fiscal restraint” as the reason for his vote.

Speaking out: RJC Executive Director Matt Brooks tells Jewish Insider’s Jacob Kornbluh that his group’s congressional affairs office got in touch with the offices of Norman and Arrington and were told that their “no” vote was process-related. “But from our perspective, there comes a time when you have to take votes that go beyond process,” Brooks stressed. “And, I think, especially now with this time of rising antisemitism in the U.S. and around the world, the symbolism of this and the importance of the government standing up and showing its support for Holocaust education outweighs any process concerns.”

Russian Covid-19 plane aid to US: Putin asked Trump if he needed help & he accepted, Kremlin spokesman says

 

A cargo plane loaded with medical supplies and protection equipment may depart for the US by the end of the day Tuesday, the Kremlin said after a phone call between US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin.

 

The issue of protective gear was raised during the Monday phone talks, with Putin asking if the US needed help and Trump accepting, Kremlin’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Tuesday.

 

Moscow suggested the aid in anticipation that the US will be able to return the favor if necessary, once its manufacturers of medical and protective equipment catch up with the demand, Peskov said.

The comment left everyone scratching their heads, as no one in the US seemed to know anything about the plane in question. It appears the US president was referring to the aid arranged on the phone call as something that’s already happened.

 

Peskov chastised “some of the American side” who “at least did not contribute to the prompt resolution of technical issues” regarding the agreed-upon delivery, which could explain the delay.

 

Official data show the US has been hardest-hit by the Covid-19 pandemic, with almost 175,000 confirmed cases and 3,416 deaths as of Tuesday afternoon – overtaking China, where the contagion originated in December, Italy still has the highest death toll in the world, at 12,428.

When the American government leadership holds their updates it includes professionals in medicine, professionals in industry…all wanting to help. The American update includes information for the public such as possible benefits of different medicines, encouraging the FDA to look at allowing more and more potential treatments of already existing medicines that show quite astounding potential! The American update includes information on things that the globalist propaganda media just doesn't have the intellect to comprehend - witness mad cow the other day trying to insult the America Government by claiming they were lying about the United States Navy stating they would be able to be in NY in days…and still not apologizing for her Fear Porn…(as an aside, mad cow isn't attractive enough to have anything to do with any type of porn, Fear Porn or otherwise).

Not a medanon, but what jumps out for me is neither man has any body hair. I suppose that is possible, but not common is it? Both eem to be about the same length, different weight. Skin color is very even, too even but it could be the lighting. Most of face is covered.
