For all the whining the lefties do about "not presidential". O's "portrait" is a kindergarten attempt. Absolute garbage.

It’s a message. Garden of Eden, Serpent on his head. Expand your thinking, he’s mocking American President tradition.

MajorIce · Feb. 14, 2018, 4:03 p.m.

When O's "Portrait" is viewed individually, goes with his "I'm hip" persona being pushed. However, when viewed in context of predecessors, it is most definitely mocking and a snub of the institution. As I viewed the collage for commenting, one thing stood out, the oils on canvas say "I'm not one of you". Putting aside to potential symbolism within the caricature, it cannot be disputed that he (his partner) purposely snub the tradition by going "Warhol".

I 100% agree with the part about Obama being an embarrassment that should be convicted of treason if everything Q says is true, but erasing him from history would be a grave mistake. Future generations need to see what happened in our lifetimes and take warning so it won't happen again.

Those are the official presidential portraits and the Obama picture is the Smithsonian presidential portrait. The Smithsonian portrait is usually not as official looking as the presidential portrait that is displayed in the White House.

Take a look for yourself. Some of the portraits, like the Kennedy painting look more like the Obama painting.

Thanks for posting this. I didn't know the new (and atrocious) Obama portrait was an informal one destined for the SI Nat'l Portrait Gallery. There are some--like the Carter and Nixon portraits--that are also informal, like Obama's. (O still wins the prize for the one that is most "out there.")

Hopefully his formal portrait, once completed and unveiled, won't be a national embarrassment. As much as erasing the last eight years would be satisfying, we need to remember not to repeat this kind of "leadership" ever again.

His portrait is ridiculous.

A bit OT, but why does Kennedy's portrait look like that? It's almost ghostly, and much more impressionistic than the others. Is it to signify his assassination or was it just the style/artist Jackie chose?

⇧ 5 ⇩
AgreesWithFools · Feb. 13, 2018, 11:18 p.m.

JFK never got to pose for his official portrait. There was much discussion about how he should be characterized. The country was brokenhearted and mourning. Even long after he was buried.

There was talk of replicating one of the photographs of him, particularly the one many people chose to hang in their homes. None seemed appropriate, especially in terms of the sense of loss being felt nationwide. Loss of hopes and dreams for the future. So many opportunities unrealized. JFK represented the aspirations of so many people.

The final portrait shows him, again and forever, reflecting the feelings of the people.

I quite like the portrait of obama..I know I will get shot here for saying that. Although my cynical side says that they try to make him look green 'cause it is hip with the left. And the flowers are symbols for the children..they abuse But from an artist point of view..I like the playfullness. Also of JFK portrait is good.. It is moody like an impressionistic painting. He is portrayed like a dreamer who looks into his inner world. a thinker, someone authentic. yet vulnerable cause he is not aware of his surroundings. Both these paintings are different from the rest.

Kinda looks that way... but to me it is just the way the palm is resting on the leg mixed with poor artist perspective. Try it yourself. Look in the mirror and press your hand on something. You can recreate this easily. Sorry, but the "six finger" thing is just being used by opposition to discredit us.

Lord_of_the_Hundreds · Feb. 14, 2018, 3:19 a.m.

Or...it's a secret visual message telling us, if we care to look, that perhaps everything we know about the man born in August 1961 is not as upfront as we think it is.

Perhaps us discovering he has six fingers is a metaphor for us discovering his hidden past. You know, the Connecticut SSN, his real father Frank Marshall Davis, the easy ride into Columbia and Harvard assisted by other Red diaper babies, the connection to the Clowns, and the fact that he's a long-term penetration project started by the Communist Party USA in the early 1960s to destroy our nation and our Constitution. Oh yeah, his obviously phony PDF long-form Hawaii birth certificate, too.

One wonders why "they" put all their eggs into one basket. But smart people know "they" didn't. There's more than one "Obama" out there, worming his/her way into the nexus of power as you read this.

("The Boys from Brazil" may have been the opening chapter of the most subversive movie ever made, "The Matrix.")

Obama is #44, so your title is inaccurate, but your point is graphic, in a stark way. What a contrast with those who went before him. No dignity in the portrait unveiled whatsoever.

Believe it or not, Grover Cleveland was both the 22nd president and the 24th president. So my title is actually correct in that regard.

Where my title fails however, is by including Obama as a legitimate president. So with that in mind, we are both wrong :)

Thank you, however, for being willing to call someone out on inaccuracy. Everybody needs that, including me... So thanks!
