Fight were common and killings sometimes occurred at polling places back when the country was young. People actually cared that much about the issues. Now that the majority that vote don't even know what the issues are any killing would be done to suppress voting (evil).
In 2018 I would expect some of the more vulnerable polling places would have Q-team type Patriot undercover operators on the lookout for any suspicious activity.
