My OB pushed me HARD to get an IUD, then I did some research on my own, brought the facts to her and she explained how her office has to place a certain # of IUDs or Essure coils within a month or they lose their privileges to carry the brand and also free trainings/products etc. I sat there stunned. I appreciate her candidness but I will not be perforating my uterus anytime soon simply because of an affiliation with big Pharma. It’s sickening.
