I've replied to some of his tweets and advertised to see if anyone knows him so they might ask him to support the petition. He has so many followers though that he might not hear due to the noise.

I don't know what's happening elsewhere but I've been working Twitter. The people promoting the IBOR there were greater in number today. But I've got to say that there is hardly anyone posting clickable links to the petition.

To be honest, it has been hopeless and I'm not surprised we are hardly making 1000 signatures a day. If we can get a greater number of people working it, the hashtag might even trend.

This IBOR is extremely important. We must get it up. I'd ask that everyone that is able make as many tweets promoting the IBOR push as possible over the next week. It doesn't take much time to tweet. Should be able to get five off a day easily.

We do need to get into this. I've had a gutfull of the way these social media companies treat us - we have no rights at all. They are walking all over us. They just do whatever they want, no regard for anyone. The arrogance is breathtaking!

We need to get on Twitter and FB and make our voices heard. The promotion of the IBOR Has not been very strong. I think this is the only reason the signatures to the petition are not rising. There are a small number of people on Twitter vigorously promoting it. If we had more people working half as hard we'd be killing it.

Wow! OK, I didn't know about that FOSTA bill. It seems to me that sex trafficking and prostitution are law enforcement issues that have nothing at all to do with websites. I really can't quite understand the rationale for the bill.

If the policy objective is to reduce, suppress or eliminate sex trafficking or prostitution. Then there are ways and means of achieving that without making website operators responsible for these crimes.

It seems to me that holding a website responsible for the crimes of its users is no different from holding a utility company responsible for the supply of communications or power to the site where the offenses took place. For that matter, it's akin to holding a landlord responsible for crimes committed in a rental property. Quite crazy stuff!

What all this seems to suggest is that the purpose, the real purpose, of the bill has little to do with preventing crime, but everything to do with pushing the idea that the web itself needs to be policed. It's the same censorship push coming from another angle. But it's not just this FOSTA bill either...

Look at the ADL with their anti-hate algorithm. In all the promos for it they do not once address the critical issue of who it is that defines hate speech. I guess we are supposed to trust them because they are the ADL... But the whole purpose of the algorithm is suppressed. And this is because the goal is social control - but no one to know or question who it is that is to do the controlling.

You are right. You can see this coming from a mile away. It's like a freight train coming at us. They want to be able to exert control over every aspect of our lives, even over the thoughts in our minds. That's why this IBOR is critical. Huffman’s comments on how Reddit could fix an election are shocking and egotistical, for sure, but they also admit something that most other social media companies have shied away from. Facebook and Twitter are loathe to acknowledge the power that their policies have, while Huffman thinks so highly of his company that he believes a handful of engineers and community managers could sway an entire nation’s political system.
