The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has issued a warning letter to a seller that markets fraudulent and dangerous chlorine dioxide products known as “Miracle Mineral Solution” for prevention and treatment of “Novel Coronavirus Disease 2019” (COVID-19). The FDA has previously warned consumers not to purchase or drink chlorine dioxide products sold online as medical treatments, as the agency is not aware of any scientific evidence supporting their safety or effectiveness and they pose significant risks to patient health. The FDA is taking this action to protect Americans as part of its response to the global COVID-19 pandemic.

“Despite previous warnings, the FDA is concerned that we are still seeing chlorine dioxide products being sold with misleading claims that they are safe and effective for the treatment of diseases, now including COVID-19. The sale of these products can jeopardize a person’s health and delay proper medical treatment,” said FDA Commissioner Stephen M. Hahn, M.D. “We continue to take action and keep up our efforts to monitor for fraudulent treatments during this public health emergency and remind the public to seek medical help from their health care providers.”

The FDA issued a joint warning letter with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) to the Genesis II Church of Health and Healing for selling chlorine dioxide products that it fraudulently claims can treat or prevent COVID-19 in adults and children. This is especially concerning since children are a vulnerable population that may be at greater risk for adverse reactions from consuming chlorine dioxide. The FDA and FTC requested that the company respond in 48 hours describing the specific steps it has taken to correct the violations. Companies that sell products with unapproved claims to prevent, treat or cure COVID-19 may be subject to enforcement action, including but not limited to seizure or injunction.

Chlorine dioxide products have not been shown to be safe and effective for any use, including COVID-19, but these products continue to be sold as a remedy for treating autism, cancer, HIV/AIDS, hepatitis and flu, among other conditions, despite their harmful effects.

Websites selling chlorine dioxide products typically describe the product as a liquid that is 28% sodium chlorite in distilled water. Product directions instruct consumers to mix the sodium chlorite solution with citric acid – such as lemon or lime juice – or another acid – such as hydrochloric acid – before drinking. In many instances, the sodium chlorite is sold as part of a kit with a citric acid “activator.” When the acid is added, the mixture becomes chlorine dioxide, a powerful bleaching agent that has caused serious and potentially life-threatening side effects. ..

Just minutes before President John F. Kennedy was assassinated, a British newspaper received an anonymous call about “some big news” in the US, according to newly released documents.

A memo to the director of the FBI revealed that the call was made to the senior reporter at the Cambridge News at 6:05 p.m. Nov. 22, 1963, the day Kennedy was shot in Dallas.

The missive from CIA counterintelligence chief James Angleton read: “The British Security Service (MI-5) has reported that at 1805GMT on 22 November an anonymous telephone call was made in Cambridge, England, to the senior reporter of the Cambridge News.

“The caller said only that the Cambridge News reporter should call the American Embassy in London for some big news and then hung up,” the news outlet reported Friday.

According to the document, dated four days after the assassination, MI5 calculated that the call came about 25 minutes before Kennedy was shot as he rode in a presidential motorcade in Dealey Plaza.

The memo was included in a batch of more than 2,800 declassified documents released Thursday to satisfy a 25-year deadline set forward by the Oct. 25, 1992, enactment of the JFK Assassination Records Collection Act.

President Trump held back the release of many files after the CIA and FBI asked for more time to redact information that could cause “potentially irreversible harm.”

NZ has faced increasing pressure from some elements among Western allies over its reluctance to use the Five Eyes intelligence and security alliance to criticise its top trading partner, China.

"We do have important alliances we are part of and we consider fit for purpose and we consider need to be used for the functions for which they were originally established," Ardern said on Friday in an interview for the upcoming Reuters Next conference.

"Beyond that, we consider that there's benefit to seeing a range of other actors in our region showing greater interest, not just in the strategic environment but the economic architecture for example of our region.

"We welcome other countries becoming more closely aligned through multilateral trade agreements, through bilateral trade agreements."

NZ Foreign Minister Nanaia Mahuta raised eyebrows earlier this year when she said she was uncomfortable about expanding the role of Five Eyes beyond a security and intelligence framework.

Mahuta also said NZ needed to maintain and respect China's "particular customs, traditions and values".

China, which takes almost one-third of NZ's exports, has accused Five Eyes of ganging up on it by issuing statements on Hong Kong and the treatment of ethnic Muslim Uyhgurs in Xinjiang.

Ardern, who earlier this year said that differences with China were "becoming harder to reconcile", said there was "no question that China's posture has changed in many ways".

"Over the last decade, I do think that we've seen a different dynamic, and a different range of leaders with a strategic interest in our region and that does pose challenges," she said.

"New Zealand, though, has been utterly consistent. We've always jealously guarded our foreign policy independent positions and continue to do so."

The proposed expansion would force the original members to stop spying on the new ones.

The U.S. Senate is expected to take up the must-pass defense authorization bill right after the Thanksgiving break. When they do, they should strip out the very bad idea of expanding the historic “Five Eyes” intelligence agreement between the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, to become a “Nine Eyes” partnership that includes India, Germany, Japan, and Korea.

The idea was put forth by Rep. Ruben Gallego, D-Ariz., the Armed Services Subcommittee for Special Operations and Intelligence chairman. Gallego said earlier this month that including these nations would allow the United States to better confront China, while also opening up the English-speaking club to a wider group of nations. He suggested that there are base cultural factors at play that are “just xenophobic about sharing information with largely Asian, non-Anglo nations.”

Five Eyes is not only an intelligence-sharing agreement among five countries, but also an agreement not to spy on each other. It’s hard to overstate how radical a departure this was from the rest of history where it was reasonably assumed that everyone was spying on everyone else.

The Met Office and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) both recorded a strong coronal mass ejection (CME) from the Sun that the agencies predict will "graze" the Earth. Dr Tamitha Skov, a space weather physicist, warned that this could cause amateur radio blackouts as well as GPS issues. She wrote on Twitter: “Our Sun sends a Thanksgiving Holiday gift.

“NOAA and the Met Office predict a solar storm launched yesterday will graze Earth to the south late November 27.

"Likely not a big storm but a sporadic aurora is possible at mid-latitudes.

“Expect radio and GPS issues on Earth's nightside.”

NOAA confirmed that “satellite systems may experience significant charging resulting in increased risk to satellite systems.”

And SpaceWeather.com warned: "First-look data suggest it might deliver a glancing blow to Earth's magnetic field."

The warnings came after a filament of magma burst out of a canyon 50,000 miles long with towering walls of red-hot plasma on the Sun on Wednesday.

Debris from the blast formed a coronal mass ejection (CME), a large expulsion of plasma and magnetic field from the Sun's outer layer that can bring with it a geomagnetic storm.

A geomagnetic storm can cause havoc if it collides with the Earth’s atmosphere.

Astronomers at SpaceWeather.com explained: "A geomagnetic storm is a major disturbance of Earth's magnetosphere that occurs when there is a very efficient exchange of energy from the solar wind into the space environment surrounding Earth.

"These storms result from variations in the solar wind that produces major changes in the currents, plasmas, and fields in Earth’s magnetosphere.”

The bursts can send a stream of electrical charges and magnetic fields as far away as earth, travelling as fast as three million miles per hour.

CME’s tend to produce the strongest type of geomagnetic storm.

Ranked from G1 minor to G5 extreme, even the lowest intensity G1 storm, which is what we may experience tomorrow, can cause major disruption if it comes into contact with a satellite.

When this happens, it can cause disturbance to satellite operations and could result in weak power grid fluctuations.

But these geomagnetic storms can also put spectacular auroras on display for lucky spectators who don’t often get to spot these phenomena.

Leaked Documents Show Apple’s Attempts to Silence Whistleblowers

Tech giant Apple previously told the SEC that it does not attempt to silence employees in relation to workplace harassment or discrimination, but a whistleblower’s nondisclosure agreement is bringing new scrutiny to this claim.

Business Insider reports that on October 18, tech giant Apple made a number of statements to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) including claims that the company does not attempt to silence former employees or whistleblowers in relation to the company’s working conditions.

Now, a new nondisclosure agreement given to a company whistleblower is bringing greater scrutiny to these claims. Apple’s lawyers reportedly wanted former engineer Cher Scarlett to state only the following words upon her departure from the company: “After 18 months at Apple, I’ve decided it is time to move on and pursue other opportunities.”

This language was included in an extremely strict nondisclosure and non-disparagement agreement as part of a separation agreement that Apple offered Scarlett last month. Scarlett, who spent months working to improve pay equity at Apple allegedly resulting in harassment and intimidation from the company, said that when she received the nondisclosure agreement she was “shocked.”

She added: “In my mind, I should be able to say whatever I want as long as I’m not defaming Apple.” Scarlett refused to sign the gag order but was reminded of the agreement upon seeing Apple’s statements to the SEC.

Apple claimed that when it comes to NDAs “in the context of harassment, discrimination, and other unlawful acts,” its “policy is to not use such clauses.” Scarlett filed a whistleblower complaint with the SEC on October 25 in which she claims Apple made “false statements or misleading statements” to the SEC.

Scarlett included a copy of the settlement agreement that Apple offered her in the SEC complaint and described how the company included a “statement I was allowed to say about my leaving the company being a personal decision, rather than fleeing a hostile work environment after attempting to exercise my rights and help others organize” under federal labor laws.

Scarlett further shared the NDA from Apple with Nia Impact Capital, the activist investor that is aiming to force a shareholder vote around transparency on NDAs at Apple. Nia informed the SEC this week that it had “received information, confidentially provided, that Apple has sought to use concealment clauses in the context of discrimination, harassment, and other workplace labor violation claims.”

A group of nearly 200 state legislators from 30 states on Thursday sent a letter to President Joe Biden demanding he rescind his vaccine mandates, calling them “unconstitutional.”

The letter, obtained by Newsmax, is written by Rep. Stewart Jones, R-S.C., Rep. Tatum Lee, R-Kansas, and Rep. Josiah Magnuson, R-S.C.

Jones said that “as State legislators, we took oaths to defend the Constitution of our state and of our country. We are thankful to live in the freest country in the world and we intend to keep it that way.”

The lawmakers said: “We demand that Biden and the federal government leave people alone,” adding, “we cannot and will not stand by while Americans are being forced to choose between a jab and a job. No one should be forced to take a COVID vaccine against their will. And no President has the power to require that American citizens undergo a medical procedure of his whim.”

Calling Biden’s action a “brazen assault on our freedom,” they “demand [Biden] immediately cease and desist all efforts to mandate the COVID vaccination.”

The letter says the lawmakers hold Biden’s “vaccination mandate as void” and that they “put you on notice that the States are reinserting themselves between the federal government and the People of the United States in order to defend the freedoms and jobs of all Americans.”

They say they will “use every lawful means at our disposal to obstruct, frustrate, and reject your illegal mandate.”

Lee said that “Liberty is at stake. We are living on the cusp of tyranny and we must, as the States united, reign in the power of the federal government by the constitutional authority we have as stated in the 10th Amendment.

“The States give the federal government their power, not the other way around,” she added. “We will not be mocked, nor will we be defeated. The cost to lose is much too great. Today, we stand as the 57th Signer and we pledge our lives, fortunes and honor against every unconstitutional edict. Today we fight.”

Biden’s OSHA vaccine mandate currently is on hold after being blocked by the U.S. 5th Circuit Court of Appeals in New Orleans. The administration this week asked the 6th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals to reverse the ruling and allow the mandate for all employees of companies of 100 or more employees to move forward.

Biden has also mandated all federal employees, including members of the military, be vaccinated.

More signatures are being sought, and as they are obtained a second letter will be sent, according to a press release sent to Newsmax from Jones and Lee.

LA Firefighter Being "Investigated" For Literally Wiping His Ass With Vaccine Mandate Letter

A firefighter in LA has been placed on leave and is under investigation after he literally wiped his ass with a vaccine mandate notification letter.

The Los Angeles Times reports “The LAFD member responded to receiving the non-compliance letter by dropping his pants and wiping his buttocks with the letter.”

The report adds that the firefighter left “fecal matter on the document, before dropping it to the ground, according to the Stentorians of Los Angeles City, a group representing African American firefighters.”

LAFD spokeswoman Cheryl Getuiza told the Times that “The department is aware of the seriousness of the allegations and took immediate action upon learning of this incident.”

Getuiza said that the first responder “will face the consequences of any inappropriate acts,” adding that “no matter how our members react, all city employees must abide by the city ordinance — either file for an exemption, get vaccinated, or face termination.”

A spokesman for LA Mayor Eric Garcetti said that the “mayor’s expectation is that fire department leadership will handle this matter definitively, and make it clear that these appalling actions will not deter enforcement of rules that we’ve put in place to save lives.”

The Fire Commission president Jimmie Woods-Gray added “I am beyond appalled at such an act by an LAFD firefighter.”

The deadline for city workers to “show proof of full compliance” with the vaccine mandate has been pushed back in LA to December 18 from the initial date of October 20. However, those who have not already complied are seeing $65 deducted from their paychecks twice a week, which the city says will cover the cost of COVID-19 testing.

Mayor Garcetti has said “Let me be clear: any employee who refuses to be vaccinated by this date should be prepared to lose their job.”

As we have previously noted, there is fierce resistance to the vaccine mandates among first responders.

Police and firefighters in Los Angeles have formed a resistance group against COVID vaccine mandates for state workers in the city, stating that they aim to “maintain human rights, constitutional rights, civil rights, and civil liberties as sovereign natural free human beings, and American citizens.”

First responders in Oregon have also brought a lawsuit against the state and the governor for imposing vaccine mandates, while firefighters and police in New York continue to defy the mandates.

Many police officers have made videos of themselves signing off after being forced to resign.

CDC Director Rochelle Walensky previously declared that the Biden regime is planning to provide vaccine hesitant police and other government workers with “education and counseling” to make them “comfortable” about taking the shots.

One source said the report will discuss royalties and fees that drillers are required to pay for drilling on federal land, as well as non-competitive leasing – a controversial process where leases not sold at an auction can be sold directly to interested companies during the following two years.

About a quarter of the nation’s oil and gas comes from federal leases and the program raises billions of dollars for federal and state budgets.

The review is another step taken in Biden’s war on American energy independence.

Biden canceled the Keystone XL Pipeline in January, encouraged the Federal Trade Commission to investigate oil companies for “anti-competitive behavior,” and has allowed Russia to supply Europe with oil, a slap in the face to American oil producers.

Biden is also weighing whether to cancel the Line 5 Michigan pipeline.

As it becomes clear that the Biden administration will take no responsibility for any problem it creates, governors across the nation are joining forces to challenge policies and fix problems created by inept officials.

For example, 15 Republican governors, including Georgia’s Brian Kemp and Tennessee’s Bill Lee, have joined together to launch an initiative to address the continuing supply chain crisis.

The group of governors has launched Operation Open Road, which addresses transportation issues that have stalled goods nationally. There is a shortage of more than 80,000 truck drivers, which the group said is an “all-time high” for the trucking industry.

The GOP state leaders have asked President Joe Biden to lower the age requirement for commercial truck drivers from 21 years old to 18 years old. They also want Biden to suspend his private sector COVID-19 vaccine mandate for businesses with 100 or more employees, specifically in the trucking and transportation industry.

The Republican governors asked the administration to revise federal policies that hinder or limit domestic manufacturing of “essential” transportation equipment, such as trucks and tractor-trailers. The governors also want the administration to limit spending that could raise taxes or increase inflation.

The group has pointed to research from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology that shows a small adjustment, such as 12 minutes of additional road time per day, could significantly address industry strain and improve outcomes for a short-staffed industry.

“If we can get government out of the way, our trucking industry can safely do what it does best: move,” the governors wrote. “Our state economies are on the rise, and Operation Open Roads will help reinforce America’s economic comeback.”

One chilly morning in February 2017, a tall Chinese scientist in his 50s named Yuan Zhiming showed Bernard Cazeneuve, then the French prime minister, around Wuhan’s new high-security pathogen lab.

Built with French engineering, it was China’s first P4 lab, one of several dozen in the world with that highest security designation. Yuan, the director of the lab, had worked more than a decade to make it a reality.

Yuan and his colleagues at the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) hoped they could help prevent another catastrophe like the SARS outbreak in 2003, which embarrassed Beijing and resulted in the dismissal of the health minister.

But just a couple of years after the P4 lab’s ribbon-cutting, China was engulfed in a far deadlier outbreak. Yuan’s team had not prevented it. And worse, some suspected that lab personnel might have been involved in its genesis.

Yuan has vociferously denied that the WIV had any part in the coronavirus pandemic’s origins. “The Wuhan P4 lab has never seen any laboratory leaks or human infections since it began operating in 2018,” Yuan said at a news conference in July.

Amid the scrutiny, the WIV has turned inward. Yuan said at the news conference that his team took a virus database offline because of “the large number of malicious attacks,” and he complained that he and his colleagues are under great pressure from rumors.

U.S. intelligence agencies said in a report last month that the virus was not a biological weapon and that it’s unclear whether it originated naturally or from a laboratory-associated incident. The report said confirmation is unlikely without China’s cooperation, which Beijing withdrew in July.

For Yuan and his team, it means the cloud of suspicion lingers. After their high hopes, it’s a disappointment.

“Scientific collaboration in virology — it’s gone,” said a foreign researcher who has worked for years with the WIV and who spoke on the condition of anonymity because of the hostile political climate. “Now, the Chinese will not welcome foreigners because their view is you’re coming in to dig dirt.”

This account of the WIV’s 65-year history, its coronavirus research and its P4 lab is based on interviews with visiting scientists, lab audit reports, satellite images, archival records and other documentation. The WIV did not respond to requests for comment.

The P4 lab is located off an eight-lane road on Wuhan’s southern industrial outskirts, where factories give way to low mountains and farmland. The lab facilities cover roughly two football fields, on a tract of land 12 times as large, according to a June 2018 environmental safety audit report.

The building’s austere gray lines are softened by trees: From 2005 to 2015, when the lab was under construction, scientists would drive out on Arbor Day to add a few more saplings to the perimeter.

Based on the French P4 lab in Lyon, the building has four floors: waste management at the bottom; experimental labs and animal rooms on the main floor; and on the top two, apparatuses to ensure safe airflow, the report says.

Visitors called it state-of-the-art, in contrast to other, aging WIV buildings, where scientists wore coats indoors in winter because of scant heating.

The lab had “the newest technology, a huge complex,” recalled Boris Klempa, a Slovak Academy of Sciences researcher who visited in 2017.

Influenza activity in the United States increased substantially during mid-December 1999 and appears to have peaked during the weeks ending December 25 (week 51) through January 15 (week 2). Predominant viruses isolated this season have been influenza type A(H3N2) viruses, antigenically similar to the viruses that have predominated since the 1997-98 influenza season and were well matched to this season's vaccine. This report summarizes influenza activity in the United States during October 3, 1999-February 26, 2000*, and compares the current season with the five previous seasons.

For the week ending February 26 (week 8), 1% of overall patient visits to U.S. sentinel physicians were for influenza-like illness (ILI)†. During October 3-February 26, the percentage of patient visits for ILI peaked at 6% during the week ending January 1 (week 52). During the five influenza seasons from 1994-95 through 1998-99, peak percentages of patient visits to sentinel physicians for ILI ranged from 5% to 7%. The weeks with the highest percentage of patient visits for ILI ranged from week 50 to week 7.

For the week ending February 26, one state epidemiologist reported widespread§ activity, and 10 reported regional activity. During October -February 26, the highest combined number of reports of either widespread or regional influenza activity by state and territorial epidemiologists was 44 during the week ending January 15 (week 2). During the previous five influenza seasons, the highest total numbers of state and territorial epidemiologists reporting either widespread or regional influenza activity during any week during each of the seasons ranged from 25 to 46. The weeks with the highest number of reports of widespread or regional activity ranged from week 1 to week 10.

The percentage of total deaths attributed to pneumonia and influenza (P&I) in the 122 Cities Mortality Reporting System (MRS) was 8.6% for the week ending February 26. This was above the epidemic threshold¶ of 7.6% for that week. During October 3-February 26, the percentage of deaths attributed to P&I peaked at 11.2% during the week ending January 22 (week 3) (Figure 1). During the previous five influenza seasons, peak percentages of deaths attributed to P&I in the 122 Cities MRS ranged from 7.6% to 9.1%. The weeks with peak percentages of deaths attributed to P&I ranged from week 3 to week 10. This season, P&I mortality has been above the epidemic threshold for 20 of the 21 weeks during October 3-February 26.

Since the week ending October 3, the World Health Organization collaborating laboratories and the National Respiratory and Enteric Virus Surveillance System laboratories in the United States have tested 73,576 respiratory specimens for influenza viruses; 12,651 (17%) tested positive. For the week ending February 26, of 1118 specimens tested for influenza virus, 111 (10%) tested positive. During October 3-February 26, the highest percentage of specimens testing positive for influenza viruses was 33% during the week ending December 25 (week 51). During the previous five influenza seasons, peak percentages of specimens testing positive for influenza viruses ranged from 19% to 34%.
