Postmaster General Louis DeJoy announced an overhaul of the U.S. Postal Service (USPS) on Friday, removing the top two officials in charge of day-to-day operations as Democrats in Washington call for an investigation into changes that have slowed mail delivery. DeJoy announced there would be a hiring freeze and a request for voluntary early retirements. The USPS will also configure itself into three “operating units” of retail and delivery, logistics and processing, and commerce and business solutions and will cut back from seven regions to four. The reshuffling comes as Democrats clamor for an investigation into USPS amid concerns over the agency’s ability to handle what is expected to be a flood of mail-in ballots this year. Lawmakers have warned that changes DeJoy has made, including reducing overtime and adjusting delivery policies, may leave the agency even more unprepared. “We believe these changes, made during the middle of a once-in-a-century pandemic, now threaten the timely delivery of mail — including medicines for seniors, paychecks for workers, and absentee ballots for voters — that is essential to millions of Americans. While it is true that the Postal Service has and continues to face financial challenges, enacting these policies as cost-cutting or efficiency measures as the COVID-19 public health emergency continues is counterproductive and unacceptable,” Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) said in a letter to DeJoy on Thursday.

 

The efforts to cut cost are in part an effort to dig USPS out of the steep financial hole it finds itself in; DeJoy announced Friday that the USPS lost $2.2 billion in the second quarter of the year and could in total shed about $20 billion overall in 2019 and 2020. Mubadala, Affiliates Disclose Stakes in Virgin Galactic

A liberal political organization is sending hundreds of thousands of mail-in and absentee ballot applications to voters across the country in an apparent attempt to promote the voting method in states not automatically mailing the ballot applications themselves. The “potentially misleading” mailings, which contain legitimate ballot applications but at first glance appear to many recipients to be from an official government source, have confused voters and peeved election officials. Contrary to the organization’s own goal, it has repeatedly sent voters incorrect information. This week, hundreds of thousands of mailers in Virginia had incorrect election office addresses on prepaid return envelopes. Earlier in the summer, it sent thousands of North Carolina voters forms that were invalid because the group had partially filled them out. And in previous years, dead people and pets received voter registration forms from the group. The Center for Voter Information, a 501(c)4 nonprofit advocacy organization, is responsible for the mail-in ballot applications, along with an affiliate 501(c)3 charitable nonprofit organization called the Voter Participation Center that is also sending mass numbers of ballot applications. Together, they say they have sent 800,000 mail-in ballot applications to voters across the country, aiming to “empower” eligible voters with a focus on the “Rising American Electorate” of unmarried women, people of color, and young voters.

 

Page Gardner, who is a veteran of Democratic campaigns, is the founder of the group. When the Center for Voter Information has spent on specific election activities reportable to the Federal Elections Commission, it did so in favor of Democratic candidates and in opposition to Republicans, according to the Center for Responsive Politics. NextGen Climate, an advocacy group founded and funded by Democratic billionaire donor and ex-presidential candidate Tom Steyer, gave more than $422,000 to the Center for Voter Information in June. The partially pre-filled out Virginia applications came along with a letter that touted the benefits of the voting method — “the best way to protect yourself, your family, and your whole community during this time is to vote by mail” — and included a bar graph comparing the voter’s electoral participation rate to that of all voters.

 

But due to a "programming error," voters in several cities that share a name with a county and vice versa were sent ballots with incorrect return addresses on the prepaid envelope: Fairfax City, Fairfax County, and the cities and counties of Franklin, Richmond, and Roanoke. “Approximately half a million applications sent to eligible voters in Virginia included incorrect information, and we are working diligently to address the issues,” a spokesperson for Center for Voter Information told the Washington Examiner. “We know that voters are on high alert as the November election approaches, and we regret adding to any confusion.” It plans to work with local officials to direct the applications to their proper locations and “rectify any errors at our own expense.”

We are witnessing a vicious assault by enemies of all that is good, and our president is having to act in ways unprecedented in decades, maybe centuries.

 

The biblical nature of good versus evil cannot be discounted as we examine what is happening on the streets of America.

 

It’sMarxism in the form of antifa and the Black Lives Matter movementversus our very capable and very underappreciated law enforcement professionals, the vast majority of whom are fighting to provide us safe and secure homes, streets and communities.

 

When the destiny of the United States is at stake, and it is, the very future of the entire world is threatened.

 

As Christians, shouldn’t we act? We recognize that divine Providence is the ultimate judge of our destiny. Achieving our destiny as a freedom-loving nation, Providence compels us to do our part in our communities.

 

It encourages us in this battle against the forces of evil to face our fears head-on. No enemy on earth is stronger than the united forces of God-fearing, freedom-loving people.

 

We can no longer pretend that these dark forces are going to go away by mere prayer alone. Prayers matter, but action is required.

 

This action is needed at the local, state and federal levels. Action is also required in the economic, media, clerical and ecclesiastical realms.

 

Decide how you can act within your abilities. Stand up and state your beliefs. Be proud of who you are and what you stand for. And face, head-on, those community “leaders” who are willing to allow dark forces to go beyond peaceful protests and destroy and violate your safety and security.

 

Churches and houses of worship must return to normal. We invite everyone of goodwill to not shirk their responsibilities and instead act in a fraternal fashion. If for no other reason or with no other ability, act in a spirit of charity.

 

We cannot disrespect or disregard natural law along with our own religious liberties and freedoms.

 

I am witnessing elderly people lose their connection to all that is good in their lives: connections to their faith, their families and their individual freedoms, especially the simple act of attending church, something they’ve been doing for decades.

 

Let us not be intimidated or fear those who cry out that we are in the minority; we are not.

 

Good is always more powerful and will prevail over evil.

 

However, evil will succeed for a time when good people are divided from each other and their personal lives — children away from their teachers, preachers from their congregations, customers from their local businesses.

 

America will never give in to evil. Americans work together to solve problems.

 

We do not and should not ever allow anarchy and the evil forces behind it to operate on any street in our nation.

 

No one should have to fear for their very life because some dark, disturbed force is challenged by the very essence of what America stands for.

 

We are “one nation under God” and it is our individual liberties that make us strong, not liberties given to our government. Our government has no liberty unless and until “we the people” say so.

 

God bless America and let’s stand by everything that was and is good in our lives, in our communities and in our country.

 

Otherwise, America as the true North Star for humanity will cease to exist as we know it.

The graphs contradict each other. In one, the W. Texas boom was bigger. In the other, the Beirut boom dwarfs it.

A Lebanese man and his daughter were shot dead in the Iranian capital Tehran Friday evening, the semi-official Fars news agency reported citing locals.

America’s AIDS Czar

 

Tony Fauci has held the top post at the NIAID in Washington for an astonishing 36 years. Today he is well past retirement age at 79, and holds the funds to determine which drug companies or university researchers will get precious government funds or not from NIAID’s annual $5 billion budget. Let’s go back to 1984 when Fauci was named head of NIAID during the Reagan era. That year an AIDS researcher, Robert Gallo, working under Fauci, held a press conference to announce that he had “discovered” the AIDS virus. He said it was HIV- human immunodeficiency virus. The shocking announcement which went around the world, was in complete disregard of scientific procedures of prior peer-reviewed published scientific evidence, including the required electron microscope analyses. It was a case of “science by press conference” as a critical scientist, Prof. Peter H. Duesberg described it. Duesberg was an award-winning researcher at Berkeley who isolated the first cancer gene through his work on retroviruses in 1970, and mapped the genetic structure of these viruses.

 

For Gallo and Fauci, that was unimportant as millions in research funds flowed into NIAID to research the new virus, HIV. Fauci and Gallo claimed that AIDS was highly contagious, also by sexual transmission, especially among homosexual men. Notably, before the Gallo claim to have found the HIV AIDS virus, NIAID had been doing research on the role of drugs, poppers or nitrites, proven immune-suppressants, in the deaths of the earliest AIDS patients. That was quickly dropped in favor of researching a “cure” for AIDS. Media was told that AIDS was the “public health threat of the Century.” Gallo went on to make millions on his patented blood test for HIV, despite the fact that the test was often giving false positives and did not test directly for the alleged virus but for active antibodies, something immunology practice said was not valid, as antibodies merely suggested a past infection response and not necessarily presence of AHIV. At this time in the 1980’S Fauci was responsible for AIDS research at NIAID, a post he still holds.

 

False Tests?

 

The issue of HIV/AIDS tests is central. While a frightened world was clamoring for a test, Gallo and Fauci promoted their deeply flawed tests of antibodies. In 2006 Gallo claimed, “HIV tests were highly accurate from the time they were developed in 1984 and have become much more accurate over time…” Highly accurate in 1984 but more accurate than highly over time? Gallo added in response to criticism, “A PCR test for the presence of the virus itself can accurately determine a child’s HIV status.”

 

In a sharp rebuttal of the Gallo claims, claims endorsed by Fauci and the NIAID as well as CDC, Roberto A. Giraldo, MD and Etienne de Harven, MD, the scientist who produced the first electron micrograph of a retrovirus, pointed out that both the ELISA and Western blot, and a genetic test, the PCR or ‘Viral Load’ test,” the two major tests used to determine if one has AIDS, are invalid. “None of these tests detect the HIV virus itself, nor do they detect HIV particles.” They add that there are “more than 70 different documented conditions that can cause the antibody tests to react positive without an HIV infection.” Among the false positive cases are influenza, the common cold, leprosy or the existence of pregnancy. The same tests are used today to determine SARS-CoV-2-positive.

 

They concluded, “The fact that after 25 years of intense research HIV has been neither isolated nor purified in terms of classical virology indicates to us that the infectious view of AIDS as a contagious viral disease is based on an apparently non-existent microbe!”
