Israeli tech companies raised $25.6 billion in ‘extraordinary’ 2021 — report

 

Foreign investments account for record $18.64b of total capital amid ‘new reality’; 23 firms IPO on Wall Street, says IVC-Meitar report

 

Over the course of 2021, Israeli companies raised an “exceptional” $25.6 billion in private investments, shattering 2020’s previous record of $10.3 billion in funding,” according to data released Monday in the IVC-Meitar Israel Tech Review, a report published by the IVC Research Center and the law firm Meitar.

 

“This exceptional amount was 146% higher than the annual 2020 amount, mostly due to the large number of deals over $100 million that accounted for a 55% share [or $14 billion] of the total sum for 2021,” the report read. This is attributable to the growing number of unicorns.

 

The IVC-Meitar report said there were 773 recorded investment deals in 2021 including 77 mega-rounds of over $100 million in funding or more. The number of deals was up from 604 in 2020, with 20 mega-rounds.

 

In 2021, these rounds included investments in cybersecurity firm Claroty, which raised $400 million last month in a round led by Softbank, food tech startup Future Meat, which raised $347 million for cultured chicken, fintech startup Melio, which raised $250 million, global payroll and payment management platform Papaya Global with a round of $250 million, and internet of things (IoT) firm Wiliot, which raised $200 million in July, also with SoftBank.

 

According to the report, the last quarter of 2021 was the strongest, with investments totaling $8 billion in 206 transactions in the last three months of the year.

Starbucks Says US Workers Must Get COVID-19 Vaccine or Weekly Testing

 

Starbucks on Monday announced that its tens of thousands of U.S. workers must get a COVID-19 vaccine or undergo weekly testing to comply with new federal mandates.

 

The federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) set a Feb. 9 date for large employers with 100 or more workers to require either full vaccination or weekly testing. The rule, among others, was announced by President Joe Biden on Sept. 9 as part of a controversial sweeping mandate to push the U.S. vaccination rate higher.

 

Starbucks Chief Operating Officer John Culver issued a letter to Starbucks employees that they have to disclose their vaccination status by Jan. 10.

 

“This is an important step we can take to help more partners get vaccinated, limit the spread of COVID-19, and create choices that partners can own based on what’s best for them,” Culver wrote in the letter to employees, dated Dec. 27. “If vaccination rates rise and community spread slows, we will adapt accordingly. But if things get worse, we may have to consider additional measures. For now, my hope is that we will all do our part.”

 

The Biden administration’s vaccine mandate for private businesses has faced numerous court challenges from business groups, companies, and Republican-led states. The Supreme Court is slated to hear oral arguments on the case on Friday.

 

Former Vice President Mike Pence on Monday said his organization filed an amicus brief (pdf) calling on the Supreme Court to reject the vaccine-or-test mandate for businesses.

 

“America is about freedom and the ability to make the best decision for your family or business, and Joe Biden’s vaccine mandate must be stopped in its tracks in order to preserve freedom, protect American livelihoods and businesses, and to safeguard our Constitution,” Pence said in a statement accompanying the filing.

 

Last week, the Biden administration urged the Supreme Court to leave intact the mandate, claiming that a 1970 law that established OSHA ensures that the mandate “falls squarely within OSHA’s statutory authority.”

 

Other than lawsuits, some business groups have warned that the OSHA rule, known as an emergency temporary standard, would create significant problems for critical U.S. industries, including trucking, amid persistent supply chain disruptions.

 

Outside the OSHA rule, Biden also announced a mandate for federal contractors, federal employees, and hospitals that receive Medicare or Medicaid funding. Unlike the private business rule, those workers do not have the option to submit to weekly testing.

 

Starbucks has not immediately responded to The Epoch Times’ request for comment.

"Vasili Mitrokhin," the man replied, and he began telling her his incredible story: how he had become a senior employee at the KGB archives and was privy to operation files and top secrets; how he copied thousands of sensitive documents over the years and smuggled them from KGB headquarters; and where that massive treasure was now.

 

The young British diplomat stared at Mitrokhin in amazement, but despite having just heard one of the most extraordinary stories in her life, she responded in the appropriate British manner: "Would you like a cup of tea?" She had understood the meaning of his story. If what he was saying was true, this could be one of the greatest leaks from any intelligence organization ever. But what if it was all a lie? And what if it was actually a Russian ploy?

 

She asked for proof, and Mitrokhin presented some of the documents in his possession, which included details about the "illegals"—the KGB's elite spies. These documents, which included some of the top secrets of Soviet intelligence, along with a photo of Mitrokhin that the diplomat took, aroused great interest in London.

 

At the next meeting, about a month later, he brought about 2,000 documents. A higher-ranked representative from Her Majesty's Secret Intelligence Service (more commonly known as MI6), who had come in especially from London, reviewed the material and realized that the man in front of him was nothing less than an intelligence gold mine.

 

Within a short period of time, the MI6 launched a secret operation in which Mitrokhin and his family were smuggled to Britain. They landed in the country along with the KGB's top secrets: tens of thousands of documents that Mitrokhin had copied and hidden in milk barrels and other containers in the floor of his two dachas, one of them in the suburbs of Moscow. Only a few people in Britain—led by then-Prime Minister John Major, who personally approved the operation—were aware of the package that had landed in their country that day.

Ingredients

 

12 pint canning jars with lids, sterilized according to package directions

20 cups water

1 cup white vinegar

1 cup pickling salt

Pickling Cukes, cut in half lengthwise

3/4 cup pickling spice

Approximately 1.5 cups fresh dill - still on the stalk

12 dried red chilies

24 cloves garlic

 

Directions

 

Make the brine by bringing water & vinegar to a boil - once it does add salt

When the salt is fully dissolved - turn off the heat and let cool till it's manageable

In the bottom of each jar put1 tablespoon pickling spice, about 1 tablespoon dill, 1 red chili and 2 garlic cloves

Fill jars with pickles florets - pack it tightly

Add another tablespoon of dill on top of the the pickles, then fill jar to the very top with brine

Put on lid and seal tight

Store in a dark, cool place about 2 weeks – I like to give them a shake every day to mix up the spices etc, and also tun them upside down for a couple days in the middle. The longer they stay out of the fridge, the more dill flavor they will take on. So after about a week and a half, try one – if it’s how you like it you’re good and can refrigerate them all to slow the process. If not, give it a few more days

Refrigerate any jars once opened.

AT&T and Verizon agree to postpone 5G rollout near airports by 2 weeks

 

AT&T and Verizon have agreed to postpone their planned rollouts of 5G infrastructure near airports by two weeks, averting — for now — feared widespread disruptions to air travel and shipping as well as a potential legal battle over the matter.

Both carriers confirmed late Monday evening that they will hold off on activating 5G services near airports until Jan. 19 and that in the meantime, officials will continue working on adapting French-style restrictions on 5G to the United States.

"At Secretary [of Transportation Pete] Buttigieg's request, we have voluntarily agreed to one additional two-week delay of our deployment of C-Band 5G services," an AT&T spokesperson said in a statement. "We also remain committed to the six-month protection zone mitigations we outlined in our letter. We know aviation safety and 5G can co-exist and we are confident further collaboration and technical assessment will allay any issues."

AT&T is the parent company of WarnerMedia, of which CNN is a part.

Verizon has also agreed to a two-week delay, according to spokesman Rich Young. He said the delay "promises the certainty of bringing this nation our game-changing 5G network in January delivered over America's best and most reliable network."

The announcement comes as aviation industry officials had been expected to sue the Federal Communications Commission in a last-ditch bid to keep the rollout from taking effect on Jan. 5. Preparations to file the court petition were already underway when news of the agreement arrived, according to an airline industry official, who said that the litigation would be paused in light of the two-week extension.

The official added that behind the scenes, negotiators had been working "frantically to come to an agreement" and that Monday's result may "seem a little dramatic, but that's sometimes how things work. This is potentially a really good result in the interim, here."

In December, the Federal Aviation Administration issued an urgent warning that it planned to ban pilots from using a key aircraft instrument amid concerns that 5G signals could interfere with the devices — a decision the agency said would likely lead to widespread flight delays and diversions.

In a statement, the FAA thanked the wireless carriers.

"Safety is the core of our mission and this guides all of our decisions," the agency said. "We look forward to using the additional time and space to reduce flight disruptions associated with this 5G deployment."

Country star Morgan Wallen thanked his supporters for backing him after a tumultuous 2021 saw him de-platformed and nearly run out of country music after audio of him saying ni**a was leaked.

 

As Breitbart News reported, Wallen was dropped from various platforms in February after the recording was released of the singer during a drunken night out with friends.

 

After Cumulus Media pulled the Wallen’s music, the company demanded its 400-plus stations follow suit and cut him from their playlists.

 

Wallen apologized and apologized again. He was also disqualified from playing at the Country Music Awards before being despatched on a “re-education” tour to correct his thinking as his critics hoped he would simply disappear.

 

He didn’t.

 

Despite having been nearly completely wiped from the country music scene, Wallen went on to have the best-selling album of 2021, outperforming the likes of Adele, Olivia Rodrigo, and Drake.

 

“I could write a book on 2021,” Wallen wrote in an Instagram post published Saturday. “And I probably will one day. But for now, I wanna say thank you.”

 

“Thank you to everyone who believed in me and continued to believe in me, even when it wasn’t the popular thing to do,” the country star continued. “Thank you to my family, my band, my friends, and my fans for having my back and sticking up for me when so many were coming for me. I hope my heart has shown through the noise.”

 

“I go into 2022 feeling inspired and free,” the 28-year-old wrote. “Inspired to create from the heart and free to share those creations with you guys. Im so proud of how far we’ve come together. I still feel like this is just the beginning.”

There was such a sad story. The genes of Y-chromosome of the male line thus became thin, and the Jewish Y-chromosome DNA got several haplogroups. The Jews are thus of mixed blood. But they have ever kept their identity of Jews religiously.

 

DNA of Ancient Native Israelites

 

Above is what the current Jewish DNA is. Then, what was the haplogroup of the ancient native Israelites?

 

It seems that their native DNA was haplogroup DE or E, which has YAP gene sequence, the genetic relative of the Japanese haplogroup D. We can know it, seeing that the Samaritan Levite priests belong to haplogroup E, as already mentioned.

 

Furthermore, every Jewish group in the world has haplogroup E prominently. At a website of a DNA test provider the Family Tree DNA is written about the specific type E1b1b1 which belongs to haplogroup E as follows:

"E1b1b1 is found in all Jewish populations, from Ashkenazi, Sephardic, Kurdish, Yemen, Samaritan and even among Djerba Jewish groups."

 

Thus, haplogroup E is found in all Jewish populations prominently. Furthermore, as haplogroups E and D, YAP gene sequence is found not only in current Jewish populations, but also in descendants of the so-called Ten Lost Tribes of Israel.

 

The Pathans in Afghanistan and Pakistan, who are said to be descendants of the Lost Tribes of Israel, have haplogroup E remarkably. Uzbekistan Jews, who are also said to be from the Lost Tribes, have haplogroup E at the rate of 28 %. The Falasha, Ethiopian Jews, have haplogroup E at 50 %. Igbo Jews in Nigeria have haplogroup E at 90%. Haplogroup E is thus found among those who are said to be from the Lost Tribes of Israel.

 

The Lost Tribes of Israel have haplogroup D also. The Chiang (Qiang) people (southwest China near Tibet), whose faces resemble Japanese ones, belong to D at a high rate of 23 %, having YAP gene sequence. According to Amishav, the top of which was late Rabbi Eliyahu Avichail who had written "The Tribes of Israel", the Chiang people have many traditional Israelite customs, and are descendants of the Lost Tribes of Israel.

 

Thus, it is YAP gene sequence that connects all current Jewish populations, as well as Samaritan Levite priests, descendants of Lost Tribes of Israel and the Japanese. We can say that nearly 40 % of the Japanese, who have haplogroup D and YAP, would be descendants of ancient Israelites and relatives of Jews.

Odd that there has also been a HUGE push for gettr at the same time.. I guess that's still a really new one, but.. wonder what the relationship will be between Truth and Gettr.
