Only days after California’s proposed Single Payer state-controlled health care bill failed to even get to a vote on the Assembly floor last week, a medical industry news website announced “California inks sweetheart deal with Kaiser Permanente, jeopardizing Medicaid reforms.”

 

So while many heaved a sigh of relief that private health care was saved in the state, a few select Newsom advisors were meeting behind closed doors, away from elected lawmakers, to ink a similar deal. No wonder Newsom wasn’t hammering the Legislature to pass the state-controlled health care bill Assembly Bill 1400.

 

Kaiser Permanente “has given nearly $100 million in charitable funding and grant money to boost Newsom’s efforts against homelessness, COVID response, and wildfire relief since 2019,” according to Modern Healthcare.

A central Illinois judge has issued a temporary restraining order that prevents school districts statewide from requiring students to wear masks in classrooms, saying Gov. J.B. Pritzker overstepped his legal authority with a mask mandate that has angered many parents and teachers alike.

Georgia trucking business executive and congressional candidate Mike Collins reacted to GoFundMe freezing a fundraiser called “Freedom Convoy 2022” with over $10 million raised, telling Breitbart News on Saturday, “that’s highway robbery.”

 

“You know what, they’re [truckers protesting] out there on their own dime,” Collins told Breitbart News Saturday host Matthew Boyle. “When that truck’s not rolling down the road, they’re not making any money. There’s no such thing as them sitting still, making money.”

 

“And if our federal government had any guts, they’d put the GoFundMe executives in jail for what they’re doing to them,” Collins added. “That’s highway robbery.”

 

Collins and Boyle were discussing the U.S. trucker convoy — inspired by the Canadian trucker convoy — that is currently being organized to protest against vaccine mandates.

 

The U.S. trucker convoy was also censored by Facebook earlier this week, to which Collins reacted by saying, “It just goes to show how much control that social media and these media platforms have gotten, to where they think they can rule over everything that goes on in America.”

 

“It’s time to break up a lot of these mega media giants out there,” the congressional candidate added.

 

Collins also noted that the trucking industry “for decades,” has “been pummeled with regulations and taxes — it’s an industry that has been battered and beat down.”

 

“And then you throw in a pandemic that happened for well over a year, where not only was there nowhere to get food through truck stops — rest areas were closed down — but you had shippers and consignees that were scared to death. You might drive up, and they might be closed,” he added.

 

“It was just a very, very hard situation for drivers, and they’re out there, and they know how important their job is — they are the backbone of this country,” Collins affirmed. “They were out there, even as their families were at home, scared, and they were scared — we all were.”

 

The congressional candidate went on to say freedom is nonetheless still important to people, which is why a vaccine mandate “is just the final straw,” prompting protests among truckers in Canada, and soon, the United States.

 

“And it’s not just standing up for the trucking industry’s rights, but this is for American rights, the Canadian, the average person’s rights,” Collins said.

 

“These are not your Ivy League grads, and your elite celebrities out there, or your politicians that everybody knows,” he added. “This is just average, everyday, ordinary, blue collar people, and I think that’s what makes it probably more special than anything.”

 

After being asked what his message is to the truckers across America who are organizing their own freedom convoy, Collins said, “I guarantee you people will join in.”

 

“It’s time for us to take our country back, and we’re doing it with everyday, ordinary people,” he said. “We’re not doing it with the big celebs and all that, and that’s what makes this shine so bright.”

 

Collins is currently leading big in a crowded field of contenders hoping to replace Rep. Jody Hice (R-GA), according to a recent Trafalgar Group poll. The poll shows Collins with 35.6 percent, followed by former Rep. Paul Broun (R-GA) with 11.1 percent.

New Private Currency Uses Bills Filled With Real Gold

 

Modern currencies such as Bitcoin expect to find success in a more technological world, but a new currency known as Goldbacks might corner the post-apocalyptic currency market.

 

In 2019, Goldback president Jeremy Cordon said he had a dream in which he saw people paying for groceries using golden bills. Cordon had previously worked for years trying to make gold into functional money, but the dream gave him a new idea: What if a bill small enough to buy groceries could include a tiny percentage of gold?

 

“This felt like an epiphany because I saw people using gold as a regular money,” he said. “This fit into the vision that anyone anywhere could use gold as their currency of choice.”

 

For thousands of years, anyone who wanted to buy goods with gold faced “the small coin problem,” Cordon told The Epoch Times. A 1-ounce gold coin, worth about $2,000, is far too expensive for everyday use, but a cheap gold coin is impractically small.

 

“Gold is the best money, but it can’t buy a loaf of bread,” he said.

 

To solve this problem, Cordon used new technology to create a bill that sandwiches a particle-thin gold layer between two layers of polymer—the Goldback. The result can be worth as little as $3.80.

Be Prepared

 

At a time when Bitcoin has devoured most of the private and local currency market, Goldbacks have arrived late to the private currency world. In the 1980s and ’90s, private currencies experienced a boom around the United States, according to University of Central Oklahoma professor and local currency expert Loren Gatch. But since then, they’ve been on the decline.

 

“That’s something which [has] pretty much gone downhill in the last couple decades,” Gatch said.

 

Cities such as Ithaca, New York, and Berkshire, Massachusetts; businesses such as coal mining camps; and political groups such as left-wing activists and libertarian anti-government enclaves have all used private currencies.

 

But even amid a private currency decline, Goldback has $20 million of bills in circulation, according to Cordon. They’re recognized as legal tender in Utah and Wyoming and are legal for use in New Hampshire, Nevada, and South Dakota. This number puts Goldbacks at the top end of what private currencies have ever achieved.

Canadians Support Freedom Convoy with Food, Gas, and Rides: ‘Nothing but Caring, Sharing, and Giving’

 

Truckers in the Canadian Freedom Convoy are lauding the efforts of their fellow citizens and protesters on the ground in Ottawa, who are helping with food, gas, and rides.

 

Fox News’s John Michael Raasch has been in Ottawa covering the protest and caught up with a few truckers who detailed the tremendous support they are receiving from their fellow citizens.

 

One trucker named Mat says he has never been prouder to be a Canadian.

 

“There’s been so many people coming up to us and shaking our hands and helping us with food and drinks and whatnot,” he explained to Fox News.

 

“The support has been incredible,” he added. “I’ve never seen anything like it. I’ve never been more proud to be Canadian.”

 

Another trucker, Travis of New Brunswick, spoke regarding the outpouring of assistance.

 

“There’s people knocking on my door every five minutes wanting to give,” he told Fox News. “There has been nothing but caring, sharing and giving.”

 

“Do you see how caring these people are? That’s Canada. That is Canada. Let us be Canada again,” Travis explained.

 

Andrew, a third trucker, detailed that supporters offer him money, but he refuses.

 

“I’m not doing this to make money. I’m doing this for the choice, for everybody’s choice, for freedoms,” he said.

 

Breitbart News’s Robert Kraychik spoke with one man named Dave, who is supporting the Freedom Convoy. He said he traveled from Montreal to Ottawa and told Breitbart News he had been there since January 28.

 

“He was volunteering working a makeshift kiosk serving hot coffee and chocolate, tea, soups, and other food and drink provided by donations to trucker demonstrators and other protesters near Parliament Hill,” Kraychik reports.

One Dead, Two Wounded in Aurora, Colorado, Church Shooting

 

One person was killed and two others were wounded in an Aurora, Colorado, church shooting Friday night just after 8 p.m.

 

The Denver Post reported that the incident occurred at the Iglesia Faro De Luz Church in Aurora, located at 538 N. Olathe Street.

 

CNN said that the deceased individual was a 36-year-old woman; the two wounded are men in their 40s.

 

Police indicate that the attacker knew the victims and the shooting was targeted. The Post notes that police said “there was a relationship with the suspect and one of the individuals involved in the shooting.”

 

The shooting suspect fled the scene before police arrived, according to KDVR.

DC School Makes Masked Kindergarten Students March With BLM Signs While Chanting Black Lives Matter

 

When liberal activists masquerading as teachers claim that they are not teaching Marxist critical race theory, they are lying.

 

Like several other schools around the country, a private school in Washington DC has given up on educating in favor of indoctrinating young children to support the extremist Black Lives Matter movement.

 

This week, video emerged online of kindergarten students at Lowell Private School marching through the halls holding BLM signs and chanting black lives matter while under the direction of their teachers.

 

The video was uploaded to the LowellSchoolDC instagram account with the caption “sound on to hear our pre-primary friends raise their voices.” The demonstration capped what the school called black lives matter school week, and featured signs that the young children were asked to make in class.

 

The masked students, who appear to be no older than 5 or 6, were paraded around the school as they were encouraged by teachers to parrot the BLM propaganda.

 

Once again, independent journalist Libsoftiktok raised the alarm about this latest example of sickening exploitation occuring in schools and reposted the video to Twitter.

 

Education, even for those who are not yet in grade school, has become solely about breeding liberal activists. Not even private schools are safe from this insane indoctrination.

 

Homeschooling is rapidly becoming the only hope against this madness.

HIV mutates so fast that each infected person has a virus that differs from the others. Most of these mutations are of no significance, but they can be grouped into “subtypes.” Understanding virus evolution is critical especially during pandemic times, scientists say, as mutations do not “inevitably evolve to be benign.”

A new more virulent and contagious HIV variant that triggers faster AIDS development was detected in the Netherlands and other European countries, according to a study by the University of Oxford’s Big Data Institute (BDI), published in Science.

An international team of researchers identified the new "VB variant" in 17 people at the end of 2018 as part of the BEEHIVE international project that aimed to track HIV from Europe and Uganda. Of those infected with this variant, 15 were from the Netherlands, one from Switzerland and one from Belgium. The scientists then analyzed data from another 6,700 HIV-infected people in the Netherlands and found 92 more cases of VB infection in the country. Thus, the total number of VB carriers has reached 109.

Scientists have said that those infected with VB had a viral load (the concentration of viral particles in the blood plasma) that was four times higher than more common HIV strains, and that the variant damages human immunity twice as fast, putting infected people at risk of developing AIDS within two-three years.

Shaping the revolutionary endgame: George Washington letter arrives at DIA Museum

On Jan. 14, the DIA Museum received the second of 18 letters from the George Washington Papers on loan from the Library of Congress.

 

Dated July 18, 1780, the letter to General Washington is from John Mersereau, an operative in the Mersereau Spy Ring, and provides details on the forces of Gen. Henry Clinton, commander of the British army in North America, which were advancing to New York after capturing Charleston, South Carolina, in May 1780.

 

In the letter, Mersereau provides Washington with information on Clinton’s senior leaders, troop numbers, the armaments and positions. Of note, the letter mentions ships under the command of British Adm. Thomas Graves that were outfitted with copper-sheathed hulls. This was cutting-edge technology that the Royal Navy had recently deployed to maximize time at sea between repairs and gain critical advantage at sea.

 

The intelligence in Mersereau’s letter shaped Washington’s strategy in the final stretch of the Revolutionary War. Unable to discern Washington’s plans for New York, Clinton ordered Gen. Charles Cornwallis to fortify the British position in Virginia in March 1781 by building a port at Yorktown on the Chesapeake Bay. In response, Washington’s forces trapped and laid siege to Cornwallis’ forces.

In September 1781, French naval forces defeated Graves, preventing him from aiding the British forces at Yorktown. His copper-hulled ships were forced to sail back to New York for repairs. Graves’ fleet finally departed for its return to Yorktown on Oct. 19, 1781 — the very day that Cornwallis surrendered to Washington.

 

Or, as DIA historian Paul Isakson puts it,“Checkmate!”

Isakson presided over the letter’s transfer to the DIA Heritage Gallery, which traces the history of DIA’s mission back to Washington’s successful intelligence operations during the American Revolution. The letter will be on display for three months, then traded for the next in the series.

 

The George Washington Papers consist of nearly 77,000 documents kept by Washington between 1745 and 1799, including correspondence, diaries, and financial and military records. Held by the Library of Congress, it is the largest collection of Washington papers in the world. ///

This particular letter is an excellent example of how Gen. George Washington gained key information on British naval assets and manning strength from spy networks across the colonies to defeat our first national enemy,” said Isakson. “Defense intelligence has played an important role in the United States since the birth of our great Nation.”

 

As a description of British military power during the Revolutionary War, the letter connects DIA’s mission — to provide intelligence on foreign militaries to prevent and decisively win wars — to a national legacy of defense intelligence that spans three centuries.

Abstract

Several large-scale human biomonitoring projects have been conducted in Canada, including the Canadian Health Measures Survey (CHMS) and the First Nations Biomonitoring Initiative (FNBI). However, neither of these studies included participants living in the Yukon. To address this data gap, a human biomonitoring project was implemented in Old Crow, a fly-in Gwich'in community in the northern Yukon. The results of this project provide baseline levels of contaminant and nutrient biomarkers from Old Crow in 2019. Samples of hair, blood, and/or urine were collected from approximately 44% of community residents (77 of 175 adults). These samples were analyzed for contaminants (including heavy metals and persistent organic pollutants (POPs)), and nutrients (including trace elements and omega-3 fatty acids). Levels of these analytes were compared to health-based guidance values, when available, and results from other human biomonitoring projects in Canada. Levels of lead (GM 0.64 μg/g creatinine in urine/24 μg/L blood), cadmium (GM 0.32 μg/g creatinine in urine/0.85 μg/L blood), and mercury (GM < LOD in urine/0.76 μg/L blood/0.31 μg/g hair) were below select health-based guidance values for more than 95% of participants. However, compared to the general Canadian population, elevated levels of some contaminants, including lead (approximately 2× higher), cobalt (approximately 1.5× higher), manganese (approximately 1.3× higher), and hexachlorobenzene (approximately 1.5× higher) were observed. In contrast, levels of other POPs, including insecticides such as dichlorodiphenyltrichloroethane (DDT), its metabolite, dichlorodiphenyldichloroethylene (DDE), and polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) were similar to, or lower than, those reported in the general Canadian population. This study can be used along with future biomonitoring programs to evaluate the effectiveness of international initiatives designed to reduce the contaminant burden in the Arctic, including the Stockholm Convention and the Minamata Convention. Regionally, this project complements environmental monitoring being conducted in the region, informing local and regional traditional food consumption advisories.

I think most of can agree we are watching the plan unfold. Events occurring in a controlled manner, yes?

 

If that is the case, then Mitch McConnell must be playing a role is all of this. Please let me explain.

 

Let’s say the original plan was for Trump to get so many votes, he’d win in a landslide; no amount of cheating would put a dent in his victory. Great. Contingency plans would be unnecessary. But, in the event the Democrats cheated to the extent Biden won, then fine: plan B. Show the American people what the D party is all about. The mandates, the managed decline of our economy, the border, Afghan pull etc. Really show the people how corrupt and incompetent they are as an ideology. It’s arguably a better outcome than if Trump won in the 1st place, because in the end, I think R’s will capture exponentially more hearts and minds through this painful self-discovery phase than they would if we just had 4 more years of the status quo.

 

But the Biden Administration needs to lose in a controlled, systematic way. It needs to be gradual. They need to be made an example of every step of the way. And I do think that happens without Mitch McConnell on our team. He needed to accept Biden’s “victory” in order to manage the clock. He’s essentially responsible for bleeding out the Democrat party. When things are looking so bad that the only outcome for Biden is resignation, McConnell needs to tighten the tourniquet so to speak. Stop the bleeding. When Biden picks up a win, it must be met with a measurably greater loss. One step forward, two steps back. That’s Mitch’s role in all of this.

 

I came to this conclusion after investigating the term “crow” seeing how for President Trump that is the “insult” of choice for Mitch McConnell. The number one characteristic of a crow is its intelligence. If you look at Mitch’s career, he’s gone from a moderate to an “obstructionist” in the eyes of progressives. Worst case scenario, because I know his wife is Elaine Chow, yadda yadda, he’s an enemy of our enemies. And so for that reason alone, he’s valuable.

His close friend and confidant Marty Nesbitt purchased property for $8.7 million in 2015

Previously, the site was home to the famous mansion from Magnum PI TV series which was torn down

In 2020 it was revealed how the buyer of the three-acre plot of land used a planning loophole to preserve a century-old sea wall on the beachfront, much to the annoyance of neighbors and environmentalists

Experts say such sea walls contribute to beach erosion and can damage the coastal environment

"Barack Obama has been pictured at his new multimillion-dollar Hawaii mansion for the very first time, but he did not yet appear to be on island time.

 

Far from being in beach mode, Obama appeared to be deep in conversation as he spoke with workers from local building firm Armstrong Builders, who are currently constructing his beachfront compound on the island of Oahu.

 

Dressed in beige pants and a grey polo shirt, Obama looked tense as he was pictured speaking with builders and architects.

 

The former president could be seen scowling as he chatted Saturday with at least four developers who were working on the project.

 

Obama, 60, had his arms crossed the entire time the group were discussing the next steps in building the massive compound, while at one point he appeared to be gesturing as he pointed out things that presumably needed to be addressed.

 

Construction has been mired in controversy because the project used a planning loophole to retain a sea wall that is almost certainly causing beach erosion.

Some of the architects and construction workers present appeared to be carrying plans of the intricate design, but it seems the building, nestled in the Native Hawaiian community of Waimanalo, still has some way to go before it reaches presidential standards.

 

The building of the enormous beachfront property where Obama plans to retire someday was purchased for $8.7 million by his close friend Marty Nesbitt in 2015.

 

The developers are currently building three homes on the site including two swimming pools and a security fence on the three-acre parcel of beachfront land."
