Psychological operations are by far the most potent weapons in warfare, and psycho-social effects of these weapon may develop slowly, certainly over decades or longer. The new mayor of Los Angeles, Karen Bass, said Sunday her administration will start moving homeless people from tent encampments into hotels and motels through a new program that launches Tuesday.

 

Bass told NBC’s β€œMeet the Press” host, Chuck Todd, that her plan to move homeless people into rooms immediately will not β€œaddress everybody, but it is going to address, hopefully, a significant number.” She said people will not be forced to move, but that sanitation crews will stand by to clean up areas after people have left.

The New York Stock Exchange and Germany's Deutsche Boerse have agreed to merge in a deal that will create the world's largest stocks and derivatives exchange. The merger follows a recently announced merger between the London and Toronto stock exchanges, further highlighting global trend of consolidation.The merger unites the United States and 14 European states and will allow for trading in New York of stock options based in European cities. Facing a number of financial troubles, including increased competition, growing technology, and the recession, the NYSE has found itself in need of help. The deal places 60 percent ownership of the NYSE in the hands of Deutsche Boerse, which is incorporate in the Netherlands and be headquarters in Frankfurt and New York. The NYSE will remain in Manhattan, but the merger is a sure sign the US may be losing its dominance of the financial markets. Facing a faltering US economy, the merger is likely the best option. Nevertheless, three will be a great deal of regulatory and political backlash. Following shareholder and regulatory approval the plan is to close the agreement by the end of 2011.

Licht was tasked with bringing CNN back to its hard-news roots, to tamp down on anti-Trump, left-leaning punditry, and to cut costs.

He told the Times he thinks of people in the political center as β€œnormal” β€” but insists appealing to β€œnormal” people doesn’t mean the content should be boring.

β€œOne of the biggest misconceptions about my vision is that I want to be vanilla, that I want to be centrist. That is bullsβ€”,” Licht told the Financial Times in November. β€œYou have to be compelling. You have to have edge.”

Licht said his dream is for viewers, after watching CNN, β€œtake what they’ve heard to the dinner table and have a discussion.”

He also revealed that President and CEO of Warner Bros. Discovery David Zaslav had to lobby him for several weeks to the take job, which he now views as a calling.

Despite being at the job for less than a year, Licht’s tenure has been filled with drama and layoffs. He cut hundreds of jobs earlier this month as the network’s profits tank.

He started his job a day after the network’s streaming service CNN was shuttered less than a month after it launched.

The World Health Organization (WHO) has labeled unvaccinated people a β€œmajor killing force globally” in a new campaign being promoted on social media.

The WHO is promoting a new video that targets β€œanti-vaccine activism” by blasting those who choose not to be vaccinated for supporting β€œanti-science aggression.”

The video features pediatrician and vaccine advocate Dr. Peter Hotez who laments the β€œdevastating impact of misinformation and disinformation” regarding Big Pharma’s Covid shots.

Hotez goes on to link the so-called β€œanti-science aggression” of people who refuse the Covid vaccines to β€œfar-right extremism.”

The professor continues by making several unsupported claims that β€œanti-vaccine activism” now β€œkills more people” than terrorism, gun violence, and several other crimes.

He then alleges that β€œanti-science” has become a β€œpolitical movement.”

The WHO has made this wholesale condemnation of β€œanti-vaccine activists” despite the emerging risks of the experimental mRNA shots.

As Slay News reported, a Swiss study discovered evidence of heart injury, due to elevated troponin levels, across all vaccinated people, with 2.8 percent showing levels associated with subclinical myocarditis.

Furthermore, a group of scientists recently conducted a risk-benefit analysis which showed that getting a COVID-19 β€œbooster shot” is at least 18 times more dangerous than catching the virus itself for young people under the age of 30, as LifeSite News notes.

However, the WHO’s showcased physician did not acknowledge these facts in his rant.

β€œWe have to recognize that anti-vaccine activism, which I actually call anti-science aggression, has now become a major killing force globally,” Hotez said in the video, using a backdrop of photos of protestors against the Covid shots.

The University Professor of Biology at Baylor College of Medicine claims that β€œduring the Covid pandemic in the United States, 200,000 Americans needlessly lost their lives because they refused a COVID vaccine, even after vaccines became widely available.”

β€œAnd now the anti-vaccine activism is expanding across the world […].”

β€œIt’s a killing force,” Hotez proclaimed.

β€œAnti-science now kills more people than things like gun violence, global terrorism, nuclear proliferation, or cyber-attacks.”

The scientist did not provide evidence for this dramatic claim.

β€œAnd now it’s become a political movement,” he continued.

β€œIn the U.S. it’s linked to far [sic] extremism on the far right, same in Germany.”

β€œSo this is a new face of anti-science aggression.

β€œAnd so we need political solutions to address this.”

Society is getting strange recently.

More and more people are slowly waking up but I notice more and more people have given up or just flat out don't care.

Democrats in the state of Oregon are having a hard time deciding whether they should be indicted for alleged crimes they participated in with now-bankrupt FTX.

2.In July of 2020, San Francisco FBI agent Elvis Chan tells Twitter executive Yoel Roth to expect written questions from the Foreign Influence Task Force (FITF), the inter-agency group that deals with cyber threats.

3.The questionnaire authors seem displeased with Twitter for implying, in a July 20th β€œDHS/ODNI/FBI/Industry briefing,” that β€œyou indicated you had not observed much recent activity from official propaganda actors on your platform.”

4.One would think that would be good news. The agencies seemed to feel otherwise.

5.Chan underscored this: β€œThere was quite a bit of discussion within the USIC to get clarifications from your company,” he wrote, referring to the United States Intelligence Community.

6.The task force demanded to know how Twitter came to its unpopular conclusion. Oddly, it included a bibliography of public sources - including a Wall Street Journal article - attesting to the prevalence of foreign threats, as if to show Twitter they got it wrong.

7.Roth, receiving the questions, circulated them with other company executives, and complained that he was β€œfrankly perplexed by the requests here, which seem more like something we'd get from a congressional committee than the Bureau.”

8.He added he was not β€œcomfortable with the Bureau (and by extension the IC) demanding written answers.” The idea of the FBI acting as conduit for the Intelligence Community is interesting, given that many agencies are barred from domestic operations.

9.He then sent another note internally, saying the premise of the questions was β€œflawed,” because β€œwe've been clear that official state propaganda is definitely a thing on Twitter.” Note the italics for emphasis.

10.Roth suggested they β€œget on the phone with Elvis ASAP and try to straighten this out,” to disabuse the agencies of any notion that state propaganda is not a β€œthing” on Twitter.

11.This exchange is odd among other things because some of the β€œbibliography” materials cited by the FITF are sourced to intelligence officials, who in turn cited the public sources.

12.The FBI responded to Friday’s report by saying it β€œregularly engages with private sector entities to provide information specific to identified foreign malign influence actors’ subversive, undeclared, covert, or criminal activities.”

13.That may be true, but we haven’t seen that in the documents to date. Instead, we’ve mostly seen requests for moderation involving low-follower accounts belonging to ordinary Americans – and Billy Baldwin.
