You can download the questions with the right answers ONLY, as well as with the distractor questions. Then you can take all the practice exams you can mentally deal with 100% FREE! Set a goal and challenge yourself. Do you think you’re going not be challenged when the SHTF? Be a Dwarf among Midgets, or a Tesla among Marconi’s. The choice it yours.

Additionally, I paid the herculean $4 for the Ham Study App, https://hamstudy.org/appstore, which is probably what got me over the finish line for all three levels. It is super easy and intuitive. Miss a question, and you’ll see it a few questions later, which reinforces your short-term memory and drills it into your long-term memory.

The exam team I chose wasWM7X Test Team, which had the most options for payment. They were awesome and supportive. The Exam takes $14 and you can test for all three levels in one sitting. Study, Study, Study!!! Then pay the FCC the $35 license fee and have your Call Sign within a day or so. (At Least With This VEC Team) The license is good for 10 years, with a 2-year Grace Period. Growing up in Texas, Will Sommer was a conservative, listening to Rush Limbaugh broadcasts and Ayn Rand audiobooks on family road trips. His politics changed when he went to college, but his obsession with conservative media never dimmed. “I was fascinated by the currents and the personalities and the scams,” he says. QAnon is based on supposed revelations from an anonymous government insider named “Q,” but it’s really a kind of a mash-up of previous conspiracy theories.

Yeah, I think part of the appeal of Q­Anon is that—because the clues are so vague and because we don’t know who Q is—you can kind of take whatever you want from it. So if you can’t really sign on to Pizzagate but maybe you’re scared of the vaccine or maybe you’re really, really religious, there are all these different aspects that QAnon can appeal to.

Does the term “conspiracy theory” even apply to QAnon now? Its belief system is so broad.

It’s a great question. [Some people think] QAnon’s a cult or a mass delusion. It’s almost a way of life. It’s a way of alternatively seeing the entire world.

You write that within the movement, it’s not that important anymore who Q is or whether he’s even real.

Almost within a year of QAnon starting, believers started laying the groundwork for QAnon without Q: Maybe Q is a [random] guy in a basement, but what he taught us is real. I think QAnon has really planted the seeds for this world we live in now, where people will treat you like a dummy if you don’t believe in conspiracy theories.

Yeah, QAnon and other conspiracy theories give people power and agency in their own lives. Maybe you’re unhappy in your normal life, you don’t feel like you have a lot of power. But you know the “truth” about Hillary Clinton.

My impression is that a lot of QAnon believers lead lives that are not exactly stable. What are they getting from QAnon? Is it perhaps a bit like being part of a church?

The key [benefit] I think you’re hitting is this idea of being part of a greater purpose. The book is called Trust the Plan—you’re part of the plan. Whatever your situation in life was in the past, now it’s like, “I’m going to heaven; I’m part of this larger body of believers.” These people are often lost and looking for “What’s my point in life beyond having a job, having kids?” QAnon says there’s going to be this big apocalyptic moment. It’s a very evangelical movement in a way, because it’s saying your role is to spread the word.

I know that you’ve always appreciated the funny side of the far right, but as you write, there are a lot of tragic stories in this movement. A lot of these people lose most of their family relationships.

There are, obviously, varying degrees of being into QAnon. But for someone who’s a believer who’s talking about it constantly, they’re saying, “I’ve uncovered this thing that has shaken my worldview and is the most important thing in the world. And why don’t my kids or why doesn’t my husband care about this?” People lose their families, they lose their jobs.

So once they’re “red-pilled” [a QAnon term—derived from The Matrix—for being shown how the world really works], how do people get out?

That’s the big question. I don’t think there’s a simple answer. I wish I had it. Often I get emails from people who are saying, “I’ve lost my relative to QAnon. How do I get them out?”

Right, the comedy vanishes there, or when QAnon believers, for example, come to DC and storm the US Capitol. I don’t think you could say January 6 was a Q event, but I sure saw a lot of Q signs and shirts that day.

I certainly would see it as one of the things that helped to rev up the crowd. And several people who died that day were QAnon believers.

Is QAnon the mood music behind movements we see locally, like influencing libraries and school boards and the “parental rights” movement in Virginia? Those people may not be QAnon believers, but a lot of what they say echoes QAnon principles and beliefs.

Absolutely. You don’t want to say all of these people are QAnon people. But often when you look at the older Facebook posts of many of the leaders in these groups, it’s all QAnon. I don’t think it’s an accident that a lot of this school-board stuff, library stuff, picked up after Trump was defeated. Suddenly, Michael Flynn is saying to take action on a local level. QAnon believers are saying “the plan” has failed, at least in the way Q proposed it to us, and we need to do something ourselves.

Why do you think politicians like Lauren Boebert and Marjorie Taylor Greene have taken pains to distance themselves from their QAnon pasts?

Lauren Boebert seems to be someone who was sort of like, “Maybe QAnon is this thing I can kind of flirt with and nod at,” whereas Marjorie Taylor Greene was, like, deep, deep in it. She was posting about these internecine debates about which [messages from Q] are real and stuff that I don’t even—I mean, she was in it. I think she probably correctly understands that if she’s going to be palling around with Kevin McCarthy, she needs to at least publicly disavow that stuff. She makes it sound like “Oh, you know, I sent one tweet.” But what I find interesting is she certainly hasn’t left behind the conspiracy theories. She’s still talking about George Soros, she’s still talking about these kinds of, like, plots to subvert America. We see her kind of dropping the Q branding—she’s not saying, “Where we go one, we go all” [one of the movement’s mottoes], but she’s still keeping the core of that Q­Anon sentiment.

What have been some of the costs to you for working on this stuff?

The QAnon people tend to be nicer than, like, neo-Nazis. On the nicer end, it’s like, “Will is just misguided. But at least he’s asking the right questions.” Or they think that “Will’s really working for Q and that’s why he writes about it so much, to spread the word.”

On the other hand, people are like, “This guy is a henchman for the murderous pedophile cabal.” And so certainly I get death threats. And I’m much more private about my life. I write in the book that I was [on vacation] at a lake house, and someone brought a [pool float printed with an image of a] pizza and I was like, “All right, there’s gonna be no pictures of that getting out on Instagram.” It’s not that every QAnon believer is out to murder me. But it only takes one disturbed person.

QAnon represents an alternate reality, but it’s become embedded in everyone’s reality. We have Q members of Congress, Q people in local office. As you write, it’s spreading overseas. Is it like Covid? Something that we just have to learn to live with?

You know, I think so. The branding may change. Pizzagate was this thing, and then it reemerges as Q, and it’s becoming more potent and more viral. Now there are a lot of people who still believe in Q, but Q told them to stop saying they believe in Q, so they’re a lot less visible than they were. I think it’s going to reemerge as something else. I mean, for so long these people were like, “We just need Donald Trump to acknowledge QAnon is real.” Now all day he posts Q memes on Truth Social.

Are there any parts of the Republican Party that are completely Q-free?

I don’t think any that are viable. I do think the 2022 midterms are helping to kind of purge [some of it]. Marjorie Taylor Greene, Lauren Boebert made it back in, but there were all of these QAnon-friendly secretary-of-state candidates and all of them lost. But I also think that more broadly on the right, there isn’t a mechanism for moderation right now. There’s not an incentive for right-wing media to say, “You guys have got to stop talking about this crazy stuff.”

I was struck by the prescription you float at the end of the book: that a more robust social safety net in the US could help keep people out of movements like QAnon.

It wasn’t a very traditional reporter-like thing for me to say that we need universal healthcare. But when people ask what we do about QAnon, I think they want a Band-Aid solution. I always think about the first QAnon rally I went to, where someone said, “My kid is mentally disabled, he’s getting knocked around at school, and they don’t have a special-ed program. But the good news is that Trump’s going to release the cure for autism when he takes down the cabal.” The reality is QAnon is a symptom of hopelessness.

The Stacey Abrams charity ‘New Georgia Project’ has a potential tax problem.

According to a new investigative report, the group is ‘missing’ $500,000. That’s not a small accounting error, it’s a possible crime.

Charities are carefully regulated when it comes to finances. They don’t just casually misplace hundreds of thousands of dollars, at least they’re not supposed to.

The Washington Free Beacon broke this story:

Stacey Abrams Charity Has a $500,000 Problem In Its Latest Tax Filing

Over half a million dollars is missing from the New Georgia Project, a discrepancy which experts say is grounds for state and federal investigations into the Stacey Abrams-founded group and the woman Abrams tapped to run it.

The New Georgia Project filed its 2021 Form 990 financial disclosure in January, two months after the form was due to the IRS, and three months after the charity’s board chairman fired CEO Nse Ufot, Abrams’s hand-picked leader for the group. In the disclosure, the New Georgia Project reports a $533,846 consulting payment and a $67,500 grant to the Black Male Initiative, an obscure charity run in part by Ufot’s brother, Edima, a former New Georgia Project employee.

But the Black Male Initiative says it never received any such consulting payment. The group provided the Washington Free Beacon with its IRS financial disclosures, which show it collected $0 in consulting income and just $255,000 in contributions from all sources in 2021.

The ethical questions raised by the missing money are the latest stumbling block for the embattled charity.

This does not look good.

The one thing Abrams has going for her is that she is a Democrat media darling, so the press will cover for her for as long as they can.

Hobby Club’s Missing Balloon Feared Shot Down By USAF

A small, globe-trotting balloon declared “missing in action” by an Illinois-based hobbyist club on Feb. 15 has emerged as a candidate to explain one of the three mystery objects shot down by four heat-seeking missiles launched by U.S. Air Force fighters since Feb. 10.

The club—the Northern Illinois Bottlecap Balloon Brigade (NIBBB)—is not pointing fingers yet.

But the circumstantial evidence is at least intriguing. The club’s silver-coated, party-style, “pico balloon” reported its last position on Feb. 10 at 38,910 ft. off the west coast of Alaska, and a popular forecasting tool—the HYSPLIT model provided by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA)—projected the cylindrically shaped object would be floating high over the central part of the Yukon Territory on Feb. 11. That is the same day a Lockheed Martin F-22 shot down an unidentified object of a similar description and altitude in the same general area.

There are suspicions among other prominent members of the small, pico-ballooning enthusiasts’ community, which combines ham radio and high-altitude ballooning into a single, relatively affordable hobby.

“I tried contacting our military and the FBI—and just got the runaround—to try to enlighten them on what a lot of these things probably are. And they’re going to look not too intelligent to be shooting them down,” says Ron Meadows, the founder of Scientific Balloon Solutions (SBS), a Silicon Valley company that makes purpose-built pico balloons for hobbyists, educators and scientists.

The descriptions of all three unidentified objects shot down Feb. 10-12 match the shapes, altitudes and payloads of the small pico balloons, which can usually be purchased for $12-180 each, depending on the type.

Newly released messages and testimony from top executives and primetime anchors at Fox News have revealed their private disbelief in former President Donald Trump’s claims that the 2020 election was stolen, despite the network’s continued promotion of the allegations on the air.

In a legal filing by Dominion Voting Systems on Thursday, it was revealed that hosts Tucker Carlson, Sean Hannity, Laura Ingraham, and other FNC personalities repeatedly mocked Trump advisers Sidney Powell and Rudy Giuliani in text messages in the weeks following the election.

Carlson expressed his disbelief, writing to Ingraham, “Sidney Powell is lying by the way. I caught her. It’s insane.”

Ingraham replied that Powell was a “complete nut” and that “no one will work with her,” including Giuliani.

“Sidney is a complete nut. No one will work with her. Ditto with Rudy,” Ingraham wrote.

Carlson noted that Fox News viewers believed the lies, but made it clear that he did not.

In a separate text chain, Carlson asked Ingraham and Hannity to get Fox News reporter Jacqui Heinrich fired after she fact-checked a tweet from Trump and said there was no evidence of voter fraud from Dominion.

“Please get her fired,” Carlson wrote to Hannity in a text message. “Seriously … what the fuckk? I’m actually shocked … It needs to stop immediately, like tonight. It’s measurably hurting the company.”

Heinrich had deleted her tweet hours later.

Dominion is currently suing Fox News for defamation, which poses a significant financial and reputational risk for the cable news network.

Newly-appointed Swiss President and former Minister of Health Alain Berset is under investigation over media leaks involving planned Covid-19 measures, dubbed “Bersetgate” and “Coronaleaks” by Swiss media, and for lying about the vaccine effectiveness and safety.

In January, the Swiss parliament decided to investigate Alain Berset, who was Minister of Health at the time, for leaking information about government measures during the height of the pandemic, France24 reported.

The investigation will focus on “numerous indiscretions concerning government affairs related to the Covid-19 pandemic”, the parliament’s control committee said in a statement.

The parliamentary investigation will be conducted by a special working group tasked to “clarify which transgressions have been committed in connection with government activities connected to the Covid epidemic.”

This comes after Berset’s former communications chief leaked government information about the Covid pandemic to the boss of Blick, the country’s biggest tabloid newspaper, Bloomberg reported.

According to reports, the information was leaked to one of Switzerland’s largest news media about confidential government plans in an attempt to influence news coverage of the government’s handling of Covid-19.

However, Blick rejected the allegations.

“The Blick editorial team therefore firmly rejects this representation and formally rejects the allegations. It is true that the Blick editorial team researches and works independently of the publisher and group. We have not received any instructions from anyone, including the CEO. We also firmly deny the accusation that we allowed ourselves to be influenced by the interior department,” Blick said in a statement.

The recent headlines around the possible leaks have also prompted fresh questions about the possibility of illegal stock exchange transactions related to Switzerland’s vaccine procurement.

The federal prosecutor’s office is making “necessary clarifications” before commenting on the matter, Tages-Anzeiger reported, suggesting that meant that criminal proceedings hadn’t yet been opened.

The questions around possible illegal stock transactions were first raised by financial news blog Inside Paradeplatz in early 2021, Tages-Anzeiger said. A spokesman for Swiss finance regulator Finma said it gathered information from various stakeholders in the case at the time and completed an initial investigation.

“No regulatory proceedings were initiated,” the Finma spokesman said, adding he couldn’t comment on the scope for any criminal charges being laid. Finma subsequently decided to make further clarifications and those are still running, he said.

On December 2, retired Swiss banker Pascal Najadi submitted a complaint against Swiss President Alain Berset, prompting the Swiss Office of the Attorney General to launch an investigation into the allegations.

Najadi accused the former head of the Department of Home Affairs Berset of abusing his office under Article 312 of the Swiss Criminal Code, Daily News Egypt reported.

“Members of an authority or officials who abuse their official authority in order to procure an unlawful advantage for themselves or another or to inflict a disadvantage on another shall be punished with imprisonment of up to five years or a fine,” the paragraph reads.

He accused Berset of making false statements surrounding the effectiveness of Covid-19 vaccines.

“Accountability must also apply to Federal Councillors, not only to private persons. Fortunately, we live in a direct democracy, and we, the Swiss people, are the sovereign here,” said Najadi.

PHOENIX (AP) — An Arizona appeals court has rejected Republican Kari Lake’s challenge of her defeat in the Arizona governor’s race to Democrat Katie Hobbs, denying her request to throw out election results in the state’s most populous county and hold the election again.

And while a pollster who testified on behalf of Lake claimed the polling place problems had disenfranchised enough voters to change the outcome in Lake’s favor, the court said his conclusion were baseless.

The appeals court wrote Lake’s appeal failed because the evidence supports the conclusion that “voters were able to cast their ballots, that votes were counted correctly, and that no other basis justifies setting aside the election results.”
