I sat down under a tree to one side and watched as my lads unloaded the heavy stand from the convoy, set it up

and attached the bunting and banners. A few of our fans came over and talked with me or offered me cold

drinks. Everything seemed peaceful In fact, it was too peaceful. Major Morgan, my Deputy Commander, on

whom I depended as an experienced and utterly capable Storm Leader, had asked for the day off and had even

come down to the scene in civvies with his pregnant wife to enjoy, for once, the case of a spectator. Only eleven

of our men had been able to show up at this rally, after the all-out effort of the week before.

But now, I could sense something different, something wrong. As the crowd began to gather, the police did a

strange thing: they all but disappeared. They retreated over a hundred yards beyond the crowd and there were

only one or two uniformed men anywhere within operating distance of the enclosure!

I mounted the platform when the boys were ready. Then I knew what was going on. Like a hoard of locusts,

almost in military formation, over two hundred of last week's burly Jew hoodlums and toughs swarmed around

our stand and began an obviously organized chant of "Sick! Sick! Sick!". This was not too surprising, but what

happened next was horrifying. The Jews began to push and hang over the ropes and swing at our men, and the

police retreated even farther away with folded arms!

BBC animal expert ‘raped puppies, tortured dogs’

 

A judge trying the producer has warned that the “grotesque” case details were enough to cause “nervous shock”

 

An acclaimed UK crocodile expert and BBC film producer, Adam Britton, has pleaded guilty to over 50 charges linked to sex abuse against animals and children in Australia.The zoologist allegedly tortured and killed dozens of dogs, including raping puppies, before sharing videos of the crimes on social media.

 

Britton, 51, entered his guilty plea in Australia’s Northern Territory Supreme Court on Monday, acknowledging that he filmed himself savagely abusing animals in a self-described “torture room” on his property – most of them to death.

 

Prosecutors said the filmmaker – who has worked on productions for the BBC, National Geographic, and other major outlets – had a “sadistic sexual interest” in animals that dated back to at least 2014, claiming he had abused some 42 dogs, many sexually, over the last 18 months alone.

 

Chief Justice Michael Grant warned that the details of the case were extremely graphic, even saying they could be traumatizing for onlookers.

 

“These facts contain material that can only be described as grotesque and perverse acts of cruelty which is confronting and distressing and which in my assessment have the potential to cause nervous shock,” the judge said.

 

In addition to 37 counts of animal cruelty and ten others related to animal sex abuse, Britton alsopleaded guilty to four charges for accessing and transmitting child abusematerial, having allegedly possessed 15 illicit files on his computer.

 

Britton was said to have used online marketplaces and forums to source animals, many of which came from people seeking to house their pets while they were away for travel. He attempted to build trust and “rapport” with the pet-owners, and would present “false narratives” when asked for updates about their beloved animals, sometimes even sending old photos to suggest they were still alive, prosecutors said.

 

Kept in a shipping container, Britton’s home-made torture chamberwas outfitted with recording equipment, used to capture his horrific crimes and share them online anonymously. Australian police reportedly obtained one such video before Britton’s arrest in April 2022, though the case had been under an official gag order until this week.

 

Britton allegedly operated two Telegram channels under pseudonyms, creating more than 100 threads detailing his “kill count” and his methods of obtaining animals, according to court filings.

 

Born and raised in the UK, the crocodile expert moved to Australia in the early 2000s and built a successful mainstream career, even co-producing a BBC series with famed nature broadcaster Sir David Attenborough. His next hearing is set for mid-December, when he is expected to be sentenced.

ChatGPT gets unrestricted access to internet

 

The AI chatbot’s responses are no longer limited to information published before its 2021 programming cutoff

 

Artificial intelligence chatbot ChatGPT can now search the internet on its own, parent company OpenAI announced in a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday.

 

“ChatGPT can now browse the internet to provide you with current and authoritative information, complete with direct links to sources,” the company wrote in a thread on the platform, explaining that the wildly popular chatbot was “no longer limited to data before September 2021” thanks to integration with Microsoft’s Bing search engine.

 

While the new feature is currently only being offered to paying users, the company said it plans to expand it to all users “soon,” having taken into account “useful feedback” from an earlier failed attempt to give the large language model access to the live internet.

 

OpenAI CEO Sam Altman retweeted his company’s announcement from his own account on X, declaring “we are so back.”

 

ChatGPT briefly offered web browsing back in March, only to disable the feature when it was discovered that it was being used to bypass website paywalls. That loophole has since been closed, according to OpenAI, which explained that the bot now obeys websites’ ‘robots.txt’ code preventing unwanted indexing.

 

Several respondents to the promotional posts on X demanded to know what constitutes “authoritative” information. ChatGPT’s initial rollout generated hundreds of news reports and social media postings about the AI’s apparent political biases, which appeared to mirror those of its Silicon Valley milieu and were difficult to circumvent.

 

Microsoft Bing has run its own large language model since February, claiming to be “more powerful than ChatGPT.” The AI, which made headlines early on for its bizarrely clingy behavior toward its users, has offered web browsing for several months.

 

OpenAI earlier this week revealed ChatGPT could be used to scan and analyze images and have audio conversations going forward. The company also debuted a new version of its image generation AI, Dall-E 3, which has reportedly been rewritten to include some of ChatGPT’s language processing and conversation algorithms.

 

The CIA’s Open Source Enterprise division was also revealed on Wednesday to be hard at work on a ChatGPT clone also capable of delivering sourced information gleaned from open source intelligence streams on the active internet. Unlike OpenAI’s revamped model, however, Langley’s bot will be restricted to the 18 agencies that comprise the US intelligence apparatus.

 

While OpenAI insists it does not take “high risk” government or military contracts, a recent $13 billion investment by Microsoft gave that tech giant – and its clients in the intelligence community – access to some of OpenAI’s most coveted AI tools.

Reuters spoke to four donors and one source close to a major donor who were impressed by the former South Carolina governor and U.S. ambassador to the United Nations in the first Republican presidential debate in August and said they were keen to donate should she continue to strengthen as a candidate.

 

They will be watching to see how she does at the second debate in California on Wednesday night among those vying to win the party’s nomination to run for president in the 2024 election.

 

DeSantis, once seen as the most formidable challenger to former President Trump, has struggled to catch fire amid missteps and relentless Trump attacks on his candidacy. Despite his campaign’s struggles he has retained the support of some major donors.

 

Donors are crucial to keeping White House hopefuls afloat, and the willingness of some to now look beyond DeSantis underscores his struggle to convince donors that he is the best alternative to Trump. It also shows the despair of some Republican establishment donors looking for a viable candidate who is not Trump.

 

Of the five donors looking at Haley, three have so far broadly sat out the campaign while one has donated to DeSantis and another was supportive of him but did not donate. The Caller asked Trump how much he thinks this will affect him and his business, to which he said he does not think a judge can allow this to happen.

 

“It affects New York. I can’t answer that. I can’t imagine that anybody would allow this to stay. The judge was unable to answer questions today. He was unable to, he didn’t know the answers. This is a witch hunt to the likes no one has ever seen. This is all coming out of Washington. This all has to do with this stuff. If I wasn’t running I wouldn’t have any cases,” Trump said.

Two people have been killed and a teenager is fighting for her life after a 32-year-old gunman opened fire at a house and a hospital in Rotterdam on Thursday.

 

Dutch police said they were still investigating the motive for the twin attacks by the man dressed in combat gear, who also set fire to the hospital.

 

The man first burst into a house in the Dutch port city and opened fire, killing a 39-year-old woman and seriously injuring her 14-year-old daughter, police chief Fred Westerbeke told reporters.

 

He then moved to a classroom at the Erasmus MC hospital, shooting dead a 46-year-old teacher before starting another fire in the facility, sparking panic.

 

Elite police stormed the hospital, as panicked medics in white coats flooded out of the building pushing patients in wheelchairs and on stretchers.

 

“First there was a shooting on the fourth floor. Four or five shots were fired. Then a Molotov cocktail was thrown into the education centre,” said a medical student cited by RTL Nieuws, who did not give his name.

 

“There was a lot of panic and screaming… I didn’t hear any shots, just the panic and that’s what I started to act on,” public broadcaster NOS cited another eyewitness as saying.

 

Pictures showed helicopters buzzing overhead and police snipers taking up positions on the hospital roof.

 

Police said the suspect, a student at the hospital, was already known to the authorities over a conviction for animal cruelty.

 

Authorities had earlier said he was wearing “combat-style” clothes, was tall, with black hair and carrying a backpack.

 

He was only thought to have possessed one firearm and there is no indication he had accomplices.

 

Chief public prosecutor Hugo Hillenaar told reporters that the suspect was cooperating with police following his arrest.

 

“We cannot say anything about the motive of this terrible act at this time. The probe is still ongoing.”

 

“It’s unbelievable,” said Rotterdam GP Matthijs van der Poel, cited on the Algemeen Dagblad website.

“The Republic of Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh) ceases to exist,” the announcement declared, as quoted by the NKR InfoCenter.

 

The document also says that the region’s inhabitants, including those who have fled, should “familiarize themselves with the conditions of reintegration offered by the Republic of Azerbaijan,” and make an independent decision about whether to return to Nagorno-Karabakh.

 

According to the decree, the dissolution is “in connection with the current difficult military-political situation” and is aimed at ensuring the safety of Nagorno-Karabakh residents, while taking into account the Russian-brokered agreement with Baku. The US is willing to go to any lengths, including blackmail and bribery, to ensure the incumbent government wins the upcoming election in Slovakia, Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) has claimed.

 

In a press release issued by the SVR on Thursday, director Sergey Naryshkin accused the White House of increasingly meddling in Slovakia’s internal affairs as the Central European country approaches the parliamentary election this weekend.

 

The opposition in Slovakia has made it abundantly clear that it would not unquestioningly follow the US lead if elected, and according to the SVR, stands a good chance of coming out on top in the vote.

West Virginia Secretary of State Mac Warner fired off a letter to House Speaker Kevin McCarthy and House Appropriations Committee Chair Kay Granger demanding House Republicans defund the Department of Homeland Security until the agency fires election cheaters John Brennan, James Clapper, and Paul Kolbe from their so-called “experts group” who will coordinate with the agency’s Intelligence and Analysis (I&A) division and Office of the Counterterrorism Coordinator.

 

Former DNI James Clapper and former CIA Director John Brennan are famous for their role in the attempted coup of President Trump pushing the Russia conspiracy that attempted to tie President Trump to Putin. Both of these men kew this was a bogus investigation from the start before the 2016 election. They knew it was funded and launched by the Hillary Clinton campaign. And they both knew Trump had no serious contacts with Russian leaders. They ran with it anyway.

 

Then in 2020 bot Claipper and Brennan signed a letter with 51 total intel “experts” who claimed Hunter Biden’s laptop of filth, porn, crack and crimes was Russia disinformation. They signed their names to this letter knowing this was a lie.

Tensions boiled over during the House Oversight Committee hearing Thursday as Democratic Maryland Rep. Jamie Raskin attempted to bring former Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani into the impeachment inquiry hearing.

 

Raskin motioned for a recorded vote to subpoena Giuliani and Lev Parnas, who both arranged interviews with former Ukraine prosecutors about Biden and his son, to testify before a committee hearing. Comer, the chairman of the Oversight Committee, pushed back against the request and told Raskin he will be provided evidence regarding President Joe Biden’s alleged influence-peddling scheme to benefit his son, Hunter, who conducted overseas business dealings.

 

“I’d like to ask for a recorded vote on that, Mr. Chairman. This is on a subpoena of the two key figures, Rudy Giuliani and Lev Parnas,” Raskin said.

 

“Key figures for what?” Comer asked.

 

“But in your theory about why President Biden should be impeached,” the Democrat said.

 

“I think this is gonna be an informative hearing for you, Mr. Raskin, because we want to present evidence,” the chairman replied.

 

“What evidence? There’s no evidence witness, there’s no fact witnesses,” Raskin said.

 

“Just sit back and let the American people see the hearing, and let the American people decide,”Comer said.

 

Democratic New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez then called for a “point of parliamentary inquiry.”

 

“No, listen!” Comer pushed back. “Everybody’s gonna get five minutes, I’m gonna present the witnesses. Everyone’s gonna get a chance, five minutes. I let the ranking member go way over time in his opening statement, but we are going to abide by the five minutes.”

 

“There’s a motion on the floor,” several representatives then interrupted.

 

The committee voted over Raskin’s motion on the floor to subpoena Giuliani and Parnas. The results of the votes were 20 in favor and 19 in opposition.

An email from Hunter’s abandoned laptop indicated that then-Vice President Biden metwith Burisma executive Vadym Pozharskyi in 2014 at a World Food Program USA charity dinner organized by Hunter.

 

The Maryland representative attempted to debunk the allegations that Biden took a bribe from Zlochevsky after an FD-1023 formhanded to Republican Iowa Sen. Chuck Grassley alleged that the Burisma owner paid Biden and his son $5 million each to fire Ukrainian Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin, who investigated the company for corruption.

 

Hunter Biden was paid $80,000 per month by Burisma, according to bank records released by House Oversight.

 

Comer scheduled the hearing for Thursday to examine the “constitutional and legal questions surrounding the president’s involvement in corruption and abuse of public office.”

So locals are asking: why is their school board committed to pushing a pro-transgender agenda throughout its school system?

 

It turns out that the woke school board decided to push the transgender agenda without following Missouri law, which caught the attention of the Missouri Attorney General who filed suit against the Wentzville school board this week.

 

The Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey alleges in its complaint that the faction of the school board in Wentzville illegally developed and promoted pro-transgender policies by making the policies in secret. The process was not legal, the Attorney General alleges, because the school board improperly following the open meetings law. Specifically, the complaint says they met in secret and developed a plan and strategy to push this hard-left agenda on kids without the public’s knowledge and consent.

 

The three conservatives on the school board are: Jen Olson, David Lewis, Renee Henke. The three leftists on the board are: President Jason Goodson, Katie Lyczak, and Julie Scott. Local activists are hopeful that Shannon Stolle will side with the pro-parents group and ends up as a swing vote but has been inconsistent.

HONG KONG/BEIJING, Sept 28 (Reuters) - China Evergrande Group's (3333.HK) founder is being investigated over suspected "illegal crimes", the embattled developer said on Thursday, as creditors become increasingly concerned about the group's prospects amid an uncertain debt revamp plan and liquidation risk.

 

The world's most indebted property developer with more than $300 billion in total liabilities did not say whether Hui Ka Yan was still in a position to run the company, or what crimes he is being investigated for.

Trading in shares of the company was suspended earlier in the day after a report that its chairman had been placed under police watch. Evergrande said the shares will remain suspended until further notice.

 

"The Company hereby announces that the Company has received notification from relevant authorities that Mr. Hui Ka Yan … has been subject to mandatory measures in accordance with the law due to suspicion of illegal crimes," Evergrande said.

The news signals for the first time that authorities could hold the billionaire Evergrande founder accountable for the developer's financial woes, which have ripped through the property sector that accounts for roughly a quarter of the Chinese economy.

Deepening turmoil in China's debt-laden property sector is threatening to undermine Beijing's efforts to get the sputtering economy back on more solid footing, and raising fears among investors of a spillover into the country's banking system.

The latest development is a major blow to China's once top-selling developer that has lurched from one crisis to another since its cash squeeze became public in 2021 and it defaulted on its offshore debt obligations later that year.

 

"It is unclear why Hui is under police surveillance, but it may signal certain negotiations demanded from the government. The latest development has disrupted the hope of restructuring," said Gary Ng, Asia Pacific senior economist at Natixis.

 

"No developer is too big to fail in China, and therefore it is hard to imagine a full bail-out. Still, when it comes to stability, it is possible to see more government influence in different ways," Ng added.

 

Evergrande has been working to get creditors' approval for restructuring its offshore debt. The process got complicated this week after Evergrande said it was unable to issue new debt due to an investigation into its main China unit.

 

The offshore debt restructuring plan now looks set to falter and the risks of the company being liquidated are rising, some analysts said.

 

Reuters reported on Tuesday that a major Evergrande offshore creditor group was planning to join a liquidation court petition filed against the developer if it does not submit a new debt revamp plan by the end of October.

 

Evergrande's problems have raised the prospect of an intervention by the Chinese authorities to manage any possible impact on the financial system and the broader economy, analysts said.

"They've managed to avoid the 'bottom line' of preventing a systemic crisis caused by one of the developers so far, and will almost certainly intervene further if Evergrande's situation appears likely to lead to contagion," said Christopher Beddor, deputy director of China research at Gavekal Dragonomics.

 

"But apart from that, their approach.. has often seemed conflicted and at times incoherent, and that continues today."

Evergrande did not immediately respond to a Reuters request for comment outside Asia business hours.

 

The investigation into Hui, who founded Evergrande in 1996, is a remarkable fall from grace for the 64-year-old former steel technician, who just two years ago moved in power circles and exuded confidence about his business.

 

"At least it shows that the recent series of turmoil in Evergrande is not groundless," said Yan Yuejin, an analyst at the E-house China Research and Development Institution in Shanghai.

 

"We believe that Evergrande's debt turmoil has had a great turmoil and negative impact on the global economy, and the things behind it are not simple."

 

Evergrande's latest woes come against the backdrop of Beijing rolling out a raft of measures in the last few weeks, including cutting existing mortgage rates, to revive the battered property sector.

 

On Thursday, the finance ministry said China would exempt from taxes urban land used for affordable housing projects starting October. Buyers of such housing, and housing management firms, will also be exempt from stamp duties, the ministry said.

 

The recent regulatory easing may stabilize the housing market in the world's second-largest economy to some extent, analysts said, however, the appetite for buying property remains subdued in the weak economy.

 

"Still, the overhang of housing inventories in lower-tier cities facing population decline will persist for several years," Saxo Greater China Market Strategist Redmond Wong wrote in a research note.

 

"This will lead to more headlines about defaults, restructuring, and liquidation of insolvent developers, causing losses for shareholders, bondholders, banks, and investors in trust and wealth management products tied to property projects."

Federal Judge Strikes Down Texas Law Banning Minors From ‘Sexualized Performances’ Including Drag Shows

 

A federal judge has struck down a Texas law prohibiting “sexualized performances,” including drag shows, in the presence of a minor.

 

The legislation, Senate Bill 12, was signed into law by Governor Greg Abbott in June.

 

The law applies to performances containing nudity and “the exhibition or representation, actual or simulated, of sexual acts,” or performances that appeal “to the prurient interest in sex … regardless of whether compensation for the performance is expected or received.”

 

On Tuesday, U.S. District Judge David Hittner ruled that the law is too broad and “impermissibly infringes on the First Amendment and chills free speech.”

 

“Not all people will like or condone certain performances,” Hittner wrote in his ruling. “This is no different than a person’s opinion on certain comedy or genres of music, but that alone does not strip First Amendment protection.”
