I am behind PDJT at all costs, but all of today's chaos is due to All law enforcement agencies not standing up against all Foreign and Domestic enemies after 911. A pair of House Republican chairmen are looking into whether there's "improper" handling of the Washington, D.C., attorney general's investigation of the legal activist behind the Supreme Court's Republican-appointed majority.

 

Democratic Attorney General Brian Schwalb has been leading an investigation into Leonard Leo, co-chairman of the Federalist Society legal group, after one of Leo's seven nonprofit organizations allegedly paid excessive compensation to one of his for-profit companies.

 

"The Committees are concerned that your officeโ€™s investigation may be improper and politically motivated," House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH) and House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) wrote in a joint letter obtained by the Washington Examiner.

The lawmakers wrote that Schwalb's investigation raised at least two major concerns, including that it appeared the attorney general "does not have jurisdiction" because Leo and his affiliated organizations are based outside of D.C.

โ€œWorse yet, the committees are troubled that your investigation could infringe upon the fundamental rights of Donor privacy and free association," the chairmen added.

Schwalb was requested to provide documents and communications related to his investigation of Leo, including any contacts with outside organizations.

The lawmakers also called on the attorney general to focus his concern on rising crime rates in the D.C. area, citing statistics showing violent crime is up 41% in the city.

In late June, Schwalb issued subpoenas to groups tied to Leo to uncover documents as part of an inquiry launched months after the liberal Campaign for Accountability accused the conservative activist of enriching himself with consulting fees charged to tax-exempt organizations in his network.

 

"Past experience with the D.C. attorney general has featured an almost exclusive focus on conservative organizations," David Rivkin, an attorney for Leo, told the Washington Examiner earlier this month. "In our case, this investigation is entirely lacking authority. The combination of those two factors suggests it is ideologically driven."

 

Criticism has fallen over Leo, especially since he played a key part in selecting the three justices nominated by former President Donald Trump to the high court during his single term in office.

Leo was previously the longtime vice president at the Federalist Society, a conservative legal organization based in D.C. with influential ties to the conservative legal movement. The group has had notable members, from Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) to even Supreme Court justices such as Samuel Alito, a nominee of then-President George W. Bush.

Pentagonโ€™s ICBM test ends in โ€˜anomalyโ€™

The test launch of a Minuteman III missile still โ€œprovided vital data,โ€ the US military insisted

 

A disarmed test missile had to be destroyed in flight because of a problem, the US Air Force said on Wednesday evening, offering no details about what happened.

 

The Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) was โ€œsafely terminatedโ€ at 12:06am Pacific time, โ€œdue to an anomaly during a test launch from Vandenberg Space Force Base, California,โ€ said the Air Force Global Strike Command.

 

According to the US military, the missile nevertheless provided โ€œvital dataโ€ and that the command โ€œlearns lessons from every test launch,โ€ so it can ensure the โ€œcontinued reliability and accuracyโ€ of the Minuteman III.

 

The command said it would form a Launch Analysis Group to investigate the cause of the anomaly, which will include representatives of the 377th Test and Evaluation Group, the 576th Flight Test Squadron, the Space Launch Delta 30 Safety Office and the Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center, among others.

 

Wednesdayโ€™s test was announced by Pentagon spokesman Brigadier General Pat Ryder in Tuesdayโ€™s press briefing, as a way to demonstrate the โ€œredundancy and reliability of our strategic-deterrence system while sending a visible message of assurance to allies.โ€

 

Last year, Washington canceled or postponed at least two ICBM tests, citing concerns about potential โ€œmisunderstandingsโ€ with Russia and China.

 

First deployed in 1970, the Minuteman III is the key system in the ground-based leg of the US nuclear triad. It is scheduled to be replaced by the LGM-35A Sentinel starting in 2029, though Air Force Secretary Frank Kendall told US lawmakers earlier this year that it will be aโ€œchallengeโ€ to have the new missile ready in time.

 

The Air Force is โ€œcommitted to ensuring Minuteman III remains a viable deterrentโ€ until the Sentinel is fully deployed โ€œin the mid-2030s,โ€ the Global Strike Command said.

 

Wednesdayโ€™s test comes amid a push for the expansion and modernization of the US nuclear arsenal, which critics have said comes without regard for the cost.

Ukraineโ€™s top security official threatens Zelensky critics

Aleksey Danilov has urged action against anonymous sources cited in a scathing Time article

 

Anonymous senior Ukrainian officials who told Time magazine they do not share President Vladimir Zelenskyโ€™s vision of a military victory over Russia must be identified and ousted, the secretary of the national security council, Aleksey Danilov, told local media on Tuesday.

 

Danilov expressed outrage with the Time article, which was published on Monday, stating that it was playing into Russiaโ€™s hands. The fact that the outlet granted anonymity to some of its sources โ€“ a normal practice that allows officials to discuss problems candidly, โ€œraises many questions,โ€ according to him.

 

โ€œIf you โ€ฆ do not believe that our country can achieve victory, you have no right to be near our president,โ€Danilov declared.

 

He suggested that the anonymous sources inflicted harm on Ukraine before stating: โ€œI believe our security agencies should give an answer to the question who those anonymous people are.โ€

 

Ukrainian people questioning Kievโ€™s official line have been previously labeled โ€œpro-Russianโ€and punished in various ways, including through criminal prosecution.

 

The Time article described Zelenskyโ€™s belief in a battlefield victory over Russia as โ€œimmovable, verging on the messianic.โ€

 

โ€œHe deludes himself,โ€ one of his closest aides was quoted as saying. โ€œWeโ€™re out of options. Weโ€™re not winning. But try telling him that.โ€

 

The presidentโ€™s โ€œstubbornnessโ€ has prevented Kiev from even considering a diplomatic resolution of the crisis, the outlet said. The failure of Western donors to provide even more weapons to Ukraine than they did makes Zelensky feel โ€œbetrayedโ€ by them, another insider revealed.

 

Danilov questioned the credentials of the quoted individuals, stating that Zelensky has no formal aides and only has a single female personal assistant. He urged Timeโ€™s author, Simon Shuster, to โ€œstop using anonymous speech, because itโ€™s a very, very sensitive issue for our nation.โ€(KEK all Ukraine does is proliferate anonymous rumors hourly, whats good for the goose is good for the gander!)

 

โ€œThe Russian Federation has the only way to defeat us, that is internal destabilization,โ€ he added.

Biden threatens to veto Israel aid package

The US president will reject the spending bill unless it also includes assistance for Ukraine, the White House has warned

 

US President Joe Biden will refuse to sign a Republican-backed military aid package for Israel if it does not include billions in funding for Ukraine, according to the White Houseโ€™s budget office.

 

The Office of Management and Budget (OMB) issued a statement on Tuesday dissecting the Republican proposal, saying it โ€œinserts partisanship into support for Israelโ€ and fails to devote resources for Kiev in its conflict with Russia.

 

โ€œCongress has consistently worked in a bipartisan manner to provide security assistance to Israel, and this bill threatens to unnecessarily undermine that longstanding approach,โ€ the office said, adding that โ€œbifurcating Israel security assistance from the other priorities in the national security supplemental will have global consequences.โ€

 

Republicans in Congress put forward a $14 billion aid package for Israel on Monday, calling to slash funds set aside for the Internal Revenue Service under Bidenโ€™s Inflation Reduction Act, and to omit security assistance to Ukraine, among other cuts. Newly appointed GOP House Speaker Mike Johnson has stated he would like to โ€œbifurcateโ€ aid for Israel and Ukraine, going directly against the White Houseโ€™s plan to link the two issues.

 

The OMB went on to state that the Republican bill โ€œis bad for Israel, the Middle East region, and for our own national security,โ€ but added that the White House would continue to work with lawmakers to find a compromise.

 

Though most Republicans vocally support additional aid to Israel amid its operation to eliminate Hamas in Gaza, support for Kiev has become contentious within the party. During recent negotiations to avert a government shutdown, the White House failed to secure billions in aid requested for Ukraine due to GOP opposition. Former House speaker Kevin McCarthy was ousted from his position as a result of the controversy, after some rebel Republicans accused him of attempting to appease Democrats on stop-gap spending legislation.

 

While lawmakers passed a temporary funding bill to avoid a government shutdown earlier this month, they opted to drop Ukraine aid from the measure entirely, delaying the issue for a more complete spending package.

 

Pushing back on Republican complaints, US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin has argued that Ukraine would face defeat by Russia without American largesse, insisting Washington must not โ€œpull the rug out from under them now.โ€

 

Despite some $50 billion in direct US military aid since February 2022, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky reportedly feels โ€œbetrayedโ€by Kievโ€™s Western partners as arms shipments have slowed down, his aides recently told Time magazine. โ€œThey have left him without the means to win the war, only the means to survive it,โ€ the publication wrote, citing a member of Zelenskyโ€™s team.

Zelenskyโ€™s chief of staff deletes link to scathing Time article โ€“ media

The magazine depicted the Ukrainian leader as unwilling to compromise and unable to stop corruption

 

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenskyโ€™s chief of staff, Andrey Yermak, has backtracked after promoting a Time magazine article that portrayed the leader as being overly stubborn and unable to control corruption.

 

Yermakโ€™s Telegram account initially shared a link to the 3,700-word Time report on Monday, describing it as โ€œa very important article,โ€according to screenshots shared by Ukrainian and Russian journalists. As of Tuesday, the message was no longer available.

 

Some commentators have suggested that whoever posted the link had failed to read the article first, and had assumed it was complementary of Zelensky.

 

Having previously been praised by Western journalists amid the conflict with Russia, Zelensky was painted in a less complimentary light by Ukrainian insiders quoted by Time, who described an โ€œangryโ€ individual with a record of political missteps.

 

โ€œZelensky feels betrayed by his Western allies. They have left him without the means to win the war, only the means to survive it,โ€ the report said of the president, citing a longtime member of his team.

 

โ€œHe deludes himself,โ€ another Zelensky aide told the magazine. โ€œWeโ€™re out of options. Weโ€™re not winning. But try telling him that.โ€

 

The presidentโ€™s โ€œstubbornnessโ€ prevents his government from even considering a negotiated peace with Russia, according to the article. Instead, Zelensky orders the military to push forward, even though some frontline commanders refuse direct orders from his office, it added. Furthermore, Ukrainian armed forces lack weapons and manpower, with the latter undermined by sluggish conscription efforts.

 

The mood among the population in Ukraine could change in the winter, when people are likely to experience regular blackouts again, one source close to Zelensky told the outlet.

 

โ€œLast year people blamed the Russians. This time theyโ€™ll blame us for not doing enough to prepare,โ€ he predicted.

 

Yermak contributed to the story, claiming that Ukrainian officials are โ€œnot out here living the high life.โ€ The remark was mentioned in the context of Zelenskyโ€™s apparent failure to address corruption, as suggested by another presidential confidante.

 

โ€œPeople are stealing like thereโ€™s no tomorrow,โ€a top presidential adviser told Time. It took Zelensky at least six months to fire then-Defense Minister Aleksey Reznikov after the leader was alerted to graft in the department, although by that time โ€œit was too late,โ€ another source claimed. BEIJING, Nov 1 (Reuters) โ€“ Two Chinese icebreaker research vessels and a cargo ship set sail on Wednesday for the Antarctic with more than 460 personnel on board to help complete construction of Chinaโ€™s fifth station on the worldโ€™s southernmost continent.

 

Chinaโ€™s biggest flotilla of research vessels deployed to the Antarctic will focus on building the station on the rocky, windswept Inexpressible Island near the Ross Sea, a deep Southern Ocean bay named after a 19th century British explorer.

 

Work on the first Chinese station in the Pacific sector began in 2018. It will be used to conduct research on the regionโ€™s environment, state television reported.

 

China has four research stations in the Antarctic built from 1985 to 2014. A U.S.-based think tank estimated the fifth could be finished next year.

 

The facility is expected to include an observatory with a satellite ground station, and should help China โ€œfill in a major gapโ€ in its ability to access the continent, the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) said in a report this year.

 

The station is also well situated to collect signals intelligence over Australia and New Zealand and telemetry data on rockets launched from Australiaโ€™s new Arnhem Space Centre, it said.

 

China rejects suggestions that its stations would be used for espionage.

 

The two icebreakers, Xuelong 1 and Xuelong 2, the name means โ€œSnow Dragonโ€ in Chinese, set sail from Shanghai with mostly personnel and logistics supplies on board.

 

The cargo ship โ€œTianhui,โ€ or โ€œDivine Blessings,โ€ taking construction material for the station, set off from the eastern port of Zhangjiagang.

 

The five-month mission will include a survey on the impact of climate change.

 

The two icebreakers will also conduct environmental surveys in the Prydez Bay, the Astronaut Sea in southeast Antarctic, and in the Ross Sea and Amundsen Sea in the west.

 

The mission, Chinaโ€™s 40th to the Antarctic, will also cooperate with countries including the United States, Britain, and Russia on logistics supply, state media said.

The world needs sugar from top producer Brazil more than ever to help ease global shortages. Congestion at key ports means the country canโ€™t ship it fast enough.

 

More than a decade after port logjams plagued Latin Americaโ€™s biggest economy โ€” sending sugar prices rallying โ€” logistics are being stretched to their maximum again. Approximately 70 vessels are waiting some 20 days to load over 3 million tons of sugar in the country, shipping agency SA Commodities said. Thatโ€™s equivalent to a month of exports.

 

To make matters worse, a fire at Paranagua, Brazilโ€™s second-biggest port, has shut down a terminal and impacted operations at another facility. And all of that is happening just as a drought in the Amazon region is rerouting grain shipments from northern ports, increasing competition with sugar in the southeast.

 

โ€œThis is the first time in years that Brazil tested its maximum logistics capacity,โ€ said Ricardo Carvalho, commercial director at BP Bunge Bioenergia SA, a joint venture between the British oil major and one of the largest crop traders.

 

Bumper soy and corn crops have coincided with sugar production thatโ€™s expected to hit a record this year. While bigger crops should in theory help ease global sugar shortages that have already sent prices to their highest since 2011, a repeat of last decadeโ€™s logjams is keeping the world undersupplied.

 

Poor crops and the threat of export restrictions in India and Thailand have already put raw sugar futures traded in New York on track for a fifth year of gains, the longest winning streak since 1989. With global inventories expected to fall to their lowest level in 13 years, the world is again relying on Brazil to meet growing demand.

 

โ€œThe dependence that the world is creating on Brazilian sugar is frightening,โ€ Mauro Angelo, chief executive officer of Alvean, the worldโ€™s largest sugar trader, said in an interview in Sao Paulo last week. The company is controlled by Brazilian producer Copersucar SA.

 

For many sugar traders, itโ€™s feeling like the early 2010s all over again. Brazil faced severe logjams back then, followed by a fire in the port of Santos that disrupted loadings. Competition with grain exports was also strong, only easing when a wave of logistic investments in the countryโ€™s north started operating.

 

But unlike then, conditions now paint an uncertain future. With high interest rates and rising construction costs, relief for sugar markets may only come with a new terminal in Santos. Cofco International Ltd. is expected to start operating the facility in 2025, said Marcelo de Andrade, managing director of soft commodities at the trading unit of Chinaโ€™s largest food company.

 

โ€œThe world needs sugar. Brazil has sugar, but canโ€™t ship it, so prices have to rise,โ€ de Andrade saidin Sao Paulo last week. โ€œHow long will the party last? Until Cofcoโ€™s terminal starts.โ€

 

But even then, the pressure would ease for only about two to three years, before Brazilโ€™s total agricultural production grows enough to stretch capacity again, Alveanโ€™s Angelo said.

 

For now, the tight logistics has put the sugar markets in alert mode.

 

The Amazon drought means that about 1 million tons of grains that would normally travel in barges through the region is being directed to ports in the southeast, according to Carvalho of BP Bunge. While water levels have been improving after reaching historical lows, sugar logistics should remain under pressure.

 

Brazil will start harvesting its new soybean crop later this year, and many terminals that are now shipping sugar will flip to the oilseed next year. Others will stop for annual maintenance.

 

Many are already struggling with heavy rainfall, which prevents terminals from loading sugar at the risk of ruining the product.

 

โ€œThe current record sugar crop is testing the limits of the tight port logistics particularly in Santos,โ€ Thierry Songeur, a general manager at Paris-based trader Sucres et Denrees SA. โ€œThe market is vulnerable to the weather news, with heavy and long lasting rains likely to trigger a bullish move.โ€

 

Saturdayโ€™s fire at a conveyor belt servicing the CAP Terminal at Paranagua only adds further pressure to a strained market. While the nearby Bunge Ltd. facility is expected to return to full operations this week or early next week at the latest, itโ€™s unclear how long CAP will be offline.

I think the idea comes from "natural hygiene" thought of school. Basically, eat healthy but never mix proteins with carbs. The stomach produces acid or alkaline to break it all down, so if you eat both proteins and carbs the stomach produces both, which neutralizes each other.

Been doing intermittent fasting and the results are super-good.

anon doesn't eat in the morningโ€ฆ just black coffee and water, zero carbs, till mid to late afternoon.

I shoot for a 7 hour eating window / 17 hour fast which triggers belly fat burning.

I eat what I want in those 7 hours which includes whole foods, beef, chicken, eggs, cheese, vegetables, fruit, along with homemade sour-dough bread most days and homemade dark-chocolate with seeds and nuts for the sweet tooth.

Also avoid processed anything for the most part.
