Many are voicing surprise that DeSantis said the quiet part out loud today on MSNBC’s Morning Joe.

 

Going into this contest, Ron and his team were cognizant of the fact that Trump commands an insurmountable hold over the party’s rank and file.

 

To the DeSantis campaign, Trump is not a candidate to defeat at the ballot box or caucus meeting, but an obstacle to be removed, even if it means employing underhanded tactics that disenfranchise voters.

 

For months, the DeSantis campaign has spoken from both sides of its mouth. On one hand, espousing the idea that a robust and competitive primary process serves to yield a stronger, battle-tested nominee. On the other hand, pleading with other candidates to drop out at various stages and coalesce behind Ron.

 

Forcing a brokered convention with an outcome that circumvents the will of voters was always the end goal, and those who didn’t see it are either blind or idealistic about their party to a fault.

 

When the Bragg indictment came down, it was no coincidence that Ron’s response was a disparaging remark about “paying off pornstars.”

 

When the second indictment came down, Ron’s snide remark about “documents by the toilet at Mar-a-Lago” was an intentional move to validate the Democrats' weaponization of our justice system, because he views it as politically advantageous to himself.

 

Ron’s flip-flop from talking about the need for election integrity measures and enumerating problems with the 2020 election to now claiming that Biden won the election fair and square because “Biden won the debate in October 2020” is yet another example of this strategy.

 

Notice Ron’s silence on the sham Colorado trial to have Trump removed from the ballot?

 

Any attempt to disenfranchise the majority of the party’s voters will lead to a historic Democrat victory regardless of who Democrats choose as their nominee. As we know, there are people in the GOP party leadership who would prefer that outcome over a Trump second term.

Carlos Alvarez Pereira was invited from The Club of Rome, which has from its founding been one of the chief promoters of the Malthusian myth of overpopulation and radical population control programs.

The Sixth forum of the “Laudato Si’ Communities” was held in Verona, Italy, earlier this month. This is a series of meetings devoted to propagating Pope Francis’ views on what is called “the climate emergency.”

 

This latest affair was called “Doubling the Commitment.” This was a reference to Francis’ new exhortation, Laudate Deum, in which he warns us that the end is near, both for “our suffering planet” and, by extension, for us.

He struck the same note in his opening video message to the Verona meeting, warning that it’s “a very difficult time” and that “within 30 years the world will be unlivable.”

 

The “apocalypse now” message is by now drearily familiar, but I was still surprised by the messianic zeal with which it is being proposed by leaders within the Catholic Church.

 

Take Bishop Domenico Pompili, who hosted the event. He opened the forum by emphasizing that simply transitioning to policies that protect the planet is not enough. What is needed, he said, is an ecological “conversion,” a striving to create a planetary “utopia.”

Biden DOJ Pushing Supreme Court Case To Nullify Pro-Gun Ruling

 

The Biden Department of Justice has fast-tracked the case United States v. Rahimi to the Supreme Court in an attempt to nullify or limit the reach of the landmark NYSRPA v. Bruen decision from 2022.

 

The case itself centers around one Zackey Rahimi, a Texas resident and alleged drug dealer convicted of violating a domestic violence restraining order by possessing a firearm.

 

That is the charge that the Biden DOJ is fixated on, at least. Rahimi has four other felonies and five other misdemeanors that could have potentially barred him from owning a firearm as well, but in the context of this case, the administration pretends those crimes don't exist.

 

Rahimi was arrested in Oct. of 2021 and later convicted on this charge. He appealed his case to the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals, which struck down the federal statute prohibiting those under domestic violence restraining orders from possessing firearms.

 

Interestingly, the Federal Government has fixated on this specific charge. According to an analysis from The Reload, Biden's Attorney General Merrick Garland wants the Supreme Court to choose between defending Rahimi (who on all accounts is a bona fide dangerous criminal) by defending the Bruen decision or contradicting their previous ruling and scaling back Bruen.

Fed F**kery Turns Massive $33BN Bank Deposit Outflow Into $51BN Inflow

 

Bank stocks soared this week (along with everything else) despite another jump to a new record high for bank's usage of The Fed's emergency funding facility, and the massive deposit run the prior week.

So, what fun and games will The Fed do this week to 'adjust' the data so we don't panic about a sudden bank run? On a seasonally-adjusted basis, total bank deposits rose by $52.2BN… However, total bank deposits - unadjusted - fell by $22.3BN to its lowest since June… And just when we thought some sens of reality was kicking in, bank deposits and money-market fund assets diverge once again… Adjusting for foreign bank deposit flows, The Fed's magical 'adjustment stick' managed to turn $$33BN of outflows (NSA) into $51BN (SA) inflows… So, after the prior week's massive outflows, The Fed finds a way to stem the flow with some 'fuckery', leaving the delta between SA and NSA deposit losses since SVB now at $168BN For context -there has been $146BN in NSA outflows over the last two weeks vs $17BN in SA outflows.

On the other side of the ledger, it was a lending-gasm as Large banks saw loan volumes surge $24.6BN and Small banks loan volumes rose $5.4BN.That is the biggesat jump in lending volumes since mid-March

 

The key warning sign continues to trend ominously lower (Small Banks' reserve constraint), supported above the critical level by The Fed's emergency funds (for now)…(and those funds need to start reversing back on March 11th 2024 so I’d look for some major fuggery right around then-just in time for the FOMC to start reversing rate hikes in prime)

 

As the green line shows, without The Fed's help, the crisis is back (and large bank cash needs a home - like picking up a small bank from the FDIC).

Yea well that's the thing, it can, and it is. In fact not only is there a unique identifier, but there is a secondary identifier/link to determine where it should be. For example location from the perspective of time/reality. In fact this is what the Phili Experiment was all about. Japan will provide $65 million in additional humanitarian aid to Palestinians out of concern over the conflict in Gaza, foreign minister Yoko Kamikawa said during a tour of Israel and Jordan on Friday.

 

Speaking to reporters in Jordan after meeting Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen and Palestinian counterpart Riyad al-Maliki, Kamikawa also said Japan was planning to provide material aid to war-torn Gaza.

 

“It is necessary for Israel and Palestine to be able to coexist peacefully in order to prevent the repeat of another tragic act of terrorism,” Kamikawa said, adding that she had communicated Japan’s continued support for a two-state solution to both Cohen and Maliki.

 

The visit comes days before Japan is set to host the foreign ministers of the industrialized Group of Seven nations in Tokyo as the crisis in Gaza deepens, with Israel resisting calls for a humanitarian pause and the leader of Lebanon’s Iran-backed Hezbollah group warning of the conflict spilling over to neighboring areas.

 

Kamikawa refrained from commenting on whether Israel’s strikes on Gaza was within the limits of international law, but said that actors must comply with the spirit of protecting human rights and not cause needless civilian deaths.

Investors said the price of their American Depositary Receipts fell four times as the truth emerged, including on Oct. 12 when British regulators banned Staley from senior banking roles and fined him 1.8 million pounds (US$2.2 million).

Epstein was arrested on July 6, 2019, on federal sex trafficking charges, and killed himself in a Manhattan jail cell five weeks later.

The lawsuit seeks unspecified damages for ADR investors from July 22, 2019, when a New York Times article discussed Epstein's relationship with Staley, through Oct. 12, 2023.

Barclays declined to comment on Friday. Lawyers for Staley did not immediately respond to requests for comment. Staley and Barclays Chief Executive C.S. Venkatakrishnan are among the other defendants.

JPMorgan agreed in June to pay $290 million to settle a proposed class action by Epstein's abuse victims, and in September to pay $75 million to settle a lawsuit by the U.S. Virgin Islands, where Epstein had a home.

In September, JPMorgan reached a confidential settlement with Staley, who it had sued to cover its losses in both lawsuits.

A Nov. 9 hearing is scheduled in Manhattan federal court to consider final approval of the victims' settlement.
