President Trump: Denver schools, this is the way it used to be, enrolled an average of five hundred new students every year. Earlier this year, it was reported that they were enrolling five hundred new students every two weeks. Most of them coming in from South American countries. They don't speak our language, and they don't even want to be here, frankly. In Aurora, nearly three thousand illegal migrant children have been placed into your elementary schools, middle schools, and high schools, once again, at your expense, and at the cost of more opportunity for them, and no opportunity for your kids…they're talking care of these people before they take care of our children.

King v. McDonald is one of the most consequential cases in Canadian criminal history and you've never heard of it. Mr. McDonald was convicted of Common Nuisance and charged a $4000 victim surcharge (there was no victim) and given a criminal record.

 

All that for protesting public health measures in April 2021 in Niagara Falls, Ontario. He was protesting with hundreds of others and he was singled out to make a precedent.

 

Mr. McDonald was charged 2 times with Common Nuisance around the same time and in the same city, but for some reason, the charges were tried separately and the crown lost the first case. The crown won the second case.

 

Their win was not good enough for the crown. The crown wanted ONE YEAR IN JAIL for Cullen McDonald because he dared to protest "public health measures."

 

There were 3 appeals in the Ontario Superior Court of Justice today. 2 crown appeals - the crown wanted a harsher sentence and a reversal of the acquittal of the first trial - and 1 defence appeal - reversal of conviction of Common Nuisance.

 

Mr. McDonald won ALL THREE!

 

This is one of the times the court gets it right. This case threatened our rights and freedoms to peacefully protest under the guise of "for our safety." This win affirms that our rights and freedoms MATTER and they cannot easily be taken away at the wave of a hat.

 

The courtroom was full of supporters.

 

The government can no longer escalate bylaw issues (never ticketed) to criminal charges in the name of "public health / safety."

Alien and Sedition Acts (1798)

Passed in preparation for an anticipated war with France, the Alien and Sedition Acts tightened restrictions on foreign-born Americans and limited speech critical of the government.

 

In 1798, the United States stood on the brink of war with France. The Federalist Party, which advocated for a strong central government, believed that Democratic-Republican criticism of Federalist policies was disloyal and feared that "aliens," or non-citizens, living in the United States would sympathize with the French during a war.

 

As a result, a Federalist-controlled Congress passed four laws, known collectively as the Alien and Sedition Acts. These laws raised the residency requirements for citizenship from 5 to 14 years, authorized the president to deport "aliens," and permitted their arrest, imprisonment, and deportation during wartime. The Sedition Act made it a crime for American citizens to "print, utter, or publish…any false, scandalous, and malicious writing" about the government.

 

The laws were directed against Democratic-Republicans, the party typically favored by new citizens. The only journalists prosecuted under the Sedition Act were editors of Democratic-Republican newspapers.

 

Sedition Act trials, along with the Senate's use of its contempt powers to suppress dissent, set off a firestorm of criticism against the Federalists and contributed to their defeat in the election of 1800, after which the acts were repealed or allowed to expire. The controversies surrounding them, however, provided for some of the first tests of the limits of freedom of speech and press.

I personally think Duke Energy flipped the power switches to off in the "Milton Hurricane" areas. Areas barely hit are being told power will be restored on Tuesday. I talked to quite a few people affected in Swannanoa. It was too fresh and personal for them to speak on camera and I understand. The man who is now homeless on the river is living in that tent that was given to him. He told me his whole story of escaping this flood in the middle of the night - a common story for residents of Swannanoa at 4-6 in the morning during the thick of the storm. He had to rescue his dog, wake his roommates up to evacuate, wade through water, leave cars behind. He even stalled a car in the flood they tried escaping in so they had to abandon it. When he came back to his home that was gone, it was hard for him to comprehend it not being there.

 

Another man I spoke with was finishing up helping his neighbors all day. He spoke to me in front of his now gutted to the studs home, thanks to Samaritan's Purse's help. He was mentally exhausted - not just my words but his. He was broken. He was also running around in the middle of the night evacuating his wife and two kids while warning neighbors to get out. He asked me to come back as if he just needed a friend. I just listened for 20 minutes. He mentioned the need for heavy equipment and dump trucks because trash is piling up - not your normal trash but mounds of insulation, building material, debris. This is not a job for man - he can't move the new boat in his yard or the double wide that used to be on the other side of his house

 

Someone else told me that someone was boating around in the now much deeper river in the thick of the storm at night, telling people to get out ASAP - a true hero we may never know.

 

Another man told me how he heard people screaming who were now on a new river island in a mobile home who needed rescue and he went to their aid. You can go around to homeowners there and hear many of these stories. It was very serious and unexpected that night.

 

A lady at a church I spoke to with good word from Search and Rescue said there have been 394 bodies found in just Swannanoa. There is still an ongoing search and "recovery" for bodies. Some of those debris fields are not to be tampered with yet.

 

Swannanoa needs help. Please research this town and find a way to help through a legitimate organization. I'm concerned for the newly homeless people. Facebook is a good place to search for organizations. Samaritan's Purse is working hard there, too:

In the town at the end of this video is a tragic story of a small knit community. These seemed like very good salt of the earth people I talked to. Please don't go driving through their community. They just finished finding all 11 bodies in their community. A week ago, I was trying to locate someone for a concerned neighbor, and I helped determine her house was washed away, she was found, but her husband was still missing. He was one of the 11 found a few days ago - the community is at rest knowing their family members have been found. I ran into this couple's son by chance while I was at their fire station and he told me more. He was strong, having just lost his mother and father days ago. I was there to interview someone but couldn't find her. She lost her mother and father. I visited their church meeting a lady whose home was washed away while she was in it, and her husband was trying to rescue her, while being hit by a landslide. The stories here don't stop. If Donald Trump gets past Kamala Harris on Nov. 5, he’ll likely face a fiercer opponent in court – her campaign attorney, Marc Elias.

 

The longtime Democratic Party lawyer has already filed more than 60 preelection lawsuits to stop Trump from becoming president again by combatting what he calls Republican “voter suppression” efforts such as requiring voters to provide identification at the polls. Echoing a standard Democratic talking point, Elias maintains that such requirements are “racist” strategies designed to make it harder for minorities to vote.

 

At the same time, Elias has been sending letters to election officials in Georgia and other key swing states threatening legal action if they uphold challenges to voter rolls to remove noncitizens and other ineligible registrants. Some Georgia officials complain that his intimidation tactics are interfering with county registrars’ ability to check the qualifications of voters.

 

If Trump is declared the winner, the hard-charging attorney threatens to overturn his election by deploying an army of more than 75 lawyers to sue for ballot recounts in several swing states. Trump, in turn, has threatened to lock Elias up for election interference, as ABC News moderator David Muir pointed out in last month’s presidential debate between Trump and Kamala Harris.

 

Elias symbolizes the growing impact of lawfare on U.S. elections as both parties are turning increasingly to the courts to gain an edge. According to a newly disclosed Republican National Committee memo, the Trump campaign has filed or joined 123 election lawsuits in 26 states, 82 of which are in battleground states, to combat what it describes as voter fraud. It has also hired thousands of lawyers to fend off what a Trump lawyer expects will be “an onslaught of litigation” from the Harris campaign contesting the results of the election. Of course, that army of lawyers will also be used to push recounts should Trump lose.

 

Election experts say that these GOP efforts – fueled, in part, by Trump’s claim that Democrats stole the 2020 election – are playing catch-up. Democrats have long been at the forefront of strategies to use the court to impact elections, and no one has been more important to that cause than Elias, who keeps a sign behind his desk that warns: “BEWARE OF ATTACK DEMOCRAT.”

 

To many Democrats, he is a hero. The headline of a 2022 profile of Elias in the New Yorker called Elias, “The First Defense Against Trump’s Assault on Democracy.”

 

Conservatives tend to see Elias in a much different light. “Mr. Elias is part of a massive and well-funded partisan leftist operation notorious for using lawfare to undermine election integrity,” says Tom Fitton, president of Judicial Watch. “Making it easier to steal elections is the antithesis of ‘democracy.’”

 

Nevertheless, in the expanding world of lawfare, Elias, a 55-year-old graduate of Duke University’s law school, continues to stand apart. While scoring many victories in the courthouse, he has also worked closely with campaigns on partisan efforts that have little to do with jurisprudence.

More Than a Courtroom Partisan

 

As general counsel to Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign, he helped lead the effort to manufacture and leak spurious “opposition research” claiming to reveal illicit ties between Trump and Russia.

 

Elias later testified that he was worried – then as now – that Trump was a threat to democracy: “I received information that was troubling as someone who cares about democracy.” That “information” turned out to be a fictitious “dossier” linking Trump to the Kremlin crafted by former British spook and FBI informant Christopher Steele, who huddled with Elias in his Washington office.

 

“Some of the information that was in it I think has actually proved true. It was accurate and important,” Elias testified in a closed-door hearing on Capitol Hill in December 2017, according to a declassified transcript. Actually, Steele’s allegations proved to be a collection of improbable rumors and fabricated allegations invented by Steele’s top researcher and a Clinton campaign adviser.

 

Nonetheless, the disinformation was fed to the FBI and media, igniting criminal investigations (including illegal electronic surveillance), congressional probes, and a media frenzy that crippled Trump’s presidency with bad press for years.

 

In a parallel operation against Trump, Elias worked with his then-law partner Michael Sussmann and Clinton campaign officials – including Jake Sullivan, who is now President Biden’s national security adviser – to develop misleading evidence of a “secret hotline” between Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin that allegedly used a “back channel” connection between email servers at Trump Tower and Russian-owned Alfa Bank. These false allegations were posted on social media and brought to the attention of the FBI, triggering a separate criminal investigation targeting Trump and his campaign. Like other Russiagate probes, it was eventually discredited.

 

BuBut Elias has since taken on other clients – including Kamala Harris – who have more than made up for the loss in revenue. So far in this election cycle, the latest FEC filings show the Elias Law Group has received a total of more than $22 million in disbursements from a host of major Democratic and anti-Trump clients. In addition to the Harris For President campaign, where he’s in charge of recounts and post-election litigation (it’s not known if he also has a hand in opposition research, as he did in 2016), Elias has signed retainer agreements with the:

Elias has also been retained by Mind The Gap, a political action committee set up to help Democrats take back the House. Mind The Gap was founded by Barbara Fried, the mother of convicted crypto kingpin Sam Bankman-Fried. In a lawsuit filed last year, Fried, a Stanford law professor, is accused of orchestrating a potentially illegal scheme to funnel political contributions from her son to her PAC.t the damage was done. By spreading fake Russian dirt on Trump, Elias was able to create scandals that dogged Trump for years, tarnishing his electability. The Democratic lawyer’s machinations, however, drew scrutiny from other investigators and hurt his own reputation – albeit temporarily.

 

During his probe of Russiagate, Special Counsel John Durham found Elias intentionally sought to conceal Clinton’s role in the dossier. According to court records, Elias acted as a cutout for more than $1 million in campaign payments for the dossier. By laundering its payments through a law firm, the Clinton campaign and Elias were able to claim attorney-client confidentiality when Durham sought their internal emails (the assertion of that privilege also blocked investigators from accessing communications between Elias and Steele’s immediate employer, the Washington-based opposition research firm, FusionGPS). But their shell game got the Clinton campaign in trouble with the Federal Election Commission, which later fined it and the Democratic National Committee $113,000 for misreporting the purpose of the payments as “legal expenses,” rather than opposition research, in violation of FEC laws.

 

The Durham probe, which Elias insists was “politically motivated,” nonetheless raised ethical issues with the D.C. Bar and Elias’ former law firm, Perkins Coie, reportedly leading to their breakup in August 2021, when Elias suddenly left the powerhouse after almost 30 years. The firm, which Elias had joined fresh out of law school in 1993, grew “increasingly uncomfortable” with the unwanted scrutiny the Durham probe invited on it, according to published reports. The veteran prosecutor exposed questionable billing practices by the firm. Durham also revealed the Democratic firm had set up an FBI workspace within its Washington offices, further calling into question the FBI’s impartiality in investigating Trump.

 

In late 2021, Elias opened his own firm, the Elias Law Group, but soon lost major clients who reportedly grew weary of his aggressive tactics and go-it-alone style. Last year, the DNC severed its 15-year relationship with Elias; then more recently, the Biden campaign parted company with him. In 2020, Elias had quarterbacked Biden’s legal team that fought Trump’s claims in court that the election had been stolen. He also beat back GOP measures to ensure election integrity after Democrats took advantage of the COVID-19 pandemic to dramatically loosen rules for voting – including allowing ballot harvesting, drop boxes, and ballots arriving up to four days after Election Day to still be counted.

 

Top Democratic Party officials were said to sour on Elias after he filed election-related lawsuits without consulting with them, some of which backfired with unfavorable – and lasting – rulings. Biden’s team reportedly also became frustrated with his fees. Elias billed the DNC and Biden campaign more than $20 million during the 2020 election cycle.

 

Among Elias’ other clients are Democratic Rep. Adam Schiff, a leader of House efforts to impeach Trump who, records show, is shelling out a six-figure retainer for Elias as he runs for an open U.S. Senate seat in California, and Democratic Rep. Dan Goldman, who previously served as Schiff’s chief counsel during the first Trump impeachment.

 

Elias also represents Democratic Sen. Sherrod Brown of Ohio, who polls show is narrowly leading GOP challenger Bernie Moreno in his race for reelection, according to the RealClearPolitics Average. That race could determine control of the Senate.

 

The business of political lawfare – or “protecting democracy,” as Elias calls his job – has made the super lawyer super-rich. The most recent property records show Elias lives in a $2.6 million mansion in Great Falls, Va., and FEC records show he has the wherewithal to donate generous sums to his party, including a combined total of at least $65,000 in gifts to the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee and the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee.

“Aggressive Bully”

 

Elias first earned his reputation as a fierce and effective advocate in 2009, when he won an eight-month recount battle to get his client, Al Franken, elected to the Senate. He also scored a series of victories against the Trump campaign in 2020.

 

“My team and I beat [Trump] in court 60-plus times,” Elias boasted on X last month, in his trademark brashness. “Here is my message to the GOP: If you try to subvert the election in 2024, you will be sued and you will lose.”

 

Representing Biden electors in Arizona, for example, Elias in late 2020 defeated a post-election Trump lawsuit alleging voter fraud in Maricopa County by arguing at trial the plaintiff showed the court only “garden variety errors” but provided “no evidence about misconduct, no evidence about fraud, no evidence about illegal votes.”

 

But Elias’ aggressive posture has also backfired.

 

In 2016, he sued Arizona to strike down two laws that, he argued, made it harder for blacks and Hispanics to vote. One banned the practice of partisans going door-to-door and collecting mail-in ballots and bringing them to a polling place, and the other canceled ballots that were cast at the wrong precinct. Elias argued the measures violated a key part of the Voting Rights Act – Section 2 – prohibiting states from passing voting laws that discriminate based on race. After a lower court in Arizona refused to block the measures prior to the election, Elias appealed and won a favorable ruling from the liberal U.S. Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. But in the case, Brnovich v. DNC, the U.S. Supreme Court sided with Arizona, ruling that the state’s ballot-integrity measures lacked discriminatory intent.

 

UCLA law professor Rick Hasen speculates that the conservative Supreme Court used the Brnovich case as “an opportunity to weaken” Section 2, which Democratic voting-rights lawyers have relied on as a tool for civil rights enforcement. Regardless of the justices’ motives, the Brnovich decision does establish a precedent whereby voting rules resulting in only small disparities for voters of color can no longer be challenged. Some Democrats complain that Elias’ loss in Arizona opened the door for all red states to impose “restrictions” on voting.

 

“Marc didn’t listen to such criticism and he brought an extremely weak Voting Rights Act case in Arizona to disastrous results,” Hasen wrote in a recent blog. “It is fine to be zealous in one’s advocacy,” he added, “but one need not be an aggressive bully.”

 

Elias has also aggravated judges. He’s been disciplined for filing frivolous lawsuits and motions. In 2021, for instance, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit sanctioned Elias for refiling a motion that was previously rejected by a lower court “without disclosing the previous denial.” The appellate court ordered him to pay attorneys’ fees and court costs incurred by opponents in the Texas election case over his “duplicative” motion.

 

“Using lawfare as Elias does is legal – unless the litigation is frivolous,” said Paul Kamenar, general counsel for the National Legal and Policy Center in Washington.

Elias and an attorney representing him did not reply to requests for comment. But in a previous interview, he dismissed the criticism that he is unnecessarily belligerent, arguing that the “existential threat Trump poses to democracy” demands tough action. He acknowledged that he can be brusque but explained he discarded lawyerly circumspection and restraint after Trump’s 2016 election “radicalized” him.

 

“And so I became a much more polarized person and a more polarizing lawyer,” Elias told The New Yorker.

 

In a recent column for his Democracy Docket website, Elias attacked Trump as another “Hitler” who is “plotting to overthrow American democracy.” He even warned that a reelected Trump “is almost certain to convert the military into his personal domestic police force” and “seize voting machines [and] control ballot counting,” even though state laws govern elections.

 

Still, he denies filing groundless grievances over voting rules. He insists many of the tighter rules imposed by Republicans serve no legitimate purpose. And he doesn’t buy their argument that they’re needed to stop fraudulent voting because, as he claims, voter fraud is rare (or, more precisely, rarely prosecuted).

“Republicans are working every day to make it harder to vote,” Elias recently posted on X. “They are also planning to subvert the elections when they lose.”

 

Noting the GOP’s flurry of preelection lawsuits, including in the battleground states of Pennsylvania, Michigan, Nevada, and North Carolina, Elias recently told MSNBC that Republicans will do anything to push Trump over the top because he cannot win on his own. “He is set to lose to Kamala Harris,” Elias claimed, “and Republicans know that their only way of winning this election is by intimidating voters, making it hard for voters to participate in the process, and by setting up a structure after the election for them to be able to engage in the kind of frivolous and harassing litigation and ultimately the kind of tactics we saw in 2020 – but on a much wider scale.”

 

To combat this, “My law firm is litigating 66 voting and election lawsuits in 23 states,” he said on X, with most of them concentrated in Arizona, Georgia, and Wisconsin. “And we are winning!” By comparison, Elias filed 20 voting-related lawsuits in 14 states at this point in the 2020 election cycle, making him more than three times as litigious this time.

 

His anti-Trump legal war room includes a for-profit operation he founded in 2020 called Democracy Docket LLC, which employs 16 and is housed in the same office as his law firm, records show. The digital platform tracks several hundred voting-related cases and publishes a weekly organ distributed to more than 225,000 paid subscribers (at $120 a year), who include lawyers, politicians, and journalists.

 

A sister operation, Democracy Docket Legal Fund, supports election litigation to protect the voting rights of primarily minority voters. Another spinoff, the Democracy Docket Action Fund, raises money for voting rights lawsuits. According to the Capital Research Center, the two organizations are bankrolled by millions of dollars in so-called dark money, including from leftwing billionaire George Soros – whom Elias has called “a hero.” Through these vehicles, Elias has virtually “unlimited funding” to challenge any voting law in any state if he thinks it will help his party and his Democratic clients win elections, according to Americans for Public Trust, a government watchdog group based in Alexandria, Va.

While Elias publicly claims he’s “defending free and fair elections,” it’s clear from his actions behind the scenes that his motives are purely partisan, critics say. Last month, he sent a letter to Virginia state election officials threatening to sue them if they don’t remove Cornel West, the presidential nominee of the leftwing Justice for All Party, from the state ballot. Elias is also trying to keep West, a progressive black college professor, off the ballot in 15 other states, including key battlegrounds. These efforts clearly have nothing to do with voting rights. Elias is simply worried West will bleed off enough votes from his Democratic client Kamala Harris to cost her victories in states where she is leading by razor-thin margins against Trump.

 

In a column he wrote last year for Democracy Docket, Elias admitted: “A vote for No Labels, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Cornel West or any other third-party candidate is effectively a vote for Trump.”

 

In addition, Elias is quietly working with immigrant advocacy groups that want to make it possible for noncitizens to vote. In August, for example, Elias stepped in to represent El Pueblo in its quest to stop North Carolina’s State Board of Elections from removing noncitizens from voter registration rolls as required by a 2023 law. An estimated 325,000 “unauthorized” immigrants reside in the state.

 

As more than a dozen jurisdictions run by Democrats now allow noncitizens to vote in some local elections, the push to redefine who is eligible for the franchise promises to become an ever more potent and divisive issue in American politics. Much of this debate will almost certainly be hashed out in the courtroom battles and behind-the-scenes political maneuvering that are Marc Elias’ special practice.

X welcomes the decision of the Australian eSafety Commissioner to concede that it should not have ordered X to block the video footage of the tragic attack on Bishop Mar Mari Emmanuel.

 

After the attack, a number of X users posted video footage of the event. The Bishop himself thought the public should be allowed to see the footage. However, the eSafety Commissioner ordered X to block Australians from seeing the footage on X - even though it was available on some other platforms.

 

X objected but complied within Australia borders, pending a legal challenge by X. Unsatisfied, the eSafety Commissioner demanded that social media platforms censor the footage worldwide. While other social media companies did so, X fought in the Australian federal court. The court ruled in favour of X and rejected the eSafety Commissioner's global censorship demand.

 

Meanwhile, X filed a legal challenge arguing that the video footage should not be blocked even in Australia. Six months later, the eSafety Commissioner has conceded that X was correct all along and Australians have a right to see the footage.

 

It is regrettable the Commissioner used significant taxpayer resources for this legal battle when communities need more than ever to be allowed to see, decide and discuss what is true and important to them.

Trending is that Kamala has a thin history of prosecuting cases. Interestingly as per Tucker interview with Harmeet is that she specialized in child sex cases. It would make sense that she didn't get many cases prosecuted.

It's my daughter's 24th birthday today. She's refused to talk to me for 6 years now. I sent her a nice text…as I do a coupla times a year but she never even bothers to reply to me so I'm not even sure I have the right number. Just makes me very sad because the first 10-12 years of her life, we were really close. But then her cunt whore semen gargling mother took her away and poisoned her against me. I did the best I could to keep a steady relationship with her after her mother and I split up. I guess she doesn't know that her whore mom cheated on me several times and even after I found out, I still spent 4 more years with her trying to save our family. I actually have no relationship at all with her mother. Haven't talked to her in about a decade and my daughter has no idea how I feel about her mother. And my daughter may be young at 24, but she moved far away from her mother to attend college in a big city (Philly) and has since graduated and has moved to NYC…all on her own. Just really don't know what to do to get her back into my life. Should probably just give up because it hurts too much to be continuously rejected.

Don’t know if you are open to this, but it may be a good idea to talk to a Pastor, counselor, or even talk therapy with someone good, preferably a man. It’s helped me in the past to find issues inside of me, to work on them, and see the other also. Once I healed myself from the pain and some blame, it helped me to deal with it. I’ve had better relations (not fully healed) but it really helped. Maybe a Pastor, or just some really wise man you know.

 

Have you ever tried to talk it out with your ex-wife to try to just hash things out? Or ask her if you could talk?

A data scientist who constructed a model to predict who will win the 2024 presidential election says Donald Trump has surged ahead in the last week.

 

Dr Thomas Miller from Northwestern University runs a website called The Virtual Tout, where he posts daily electoral vote forecasts. He also maps these predictions onto a graph with a timeline of major events that could sway voters – such as the July 13 assassination attempt against Trump and the October 1 debate between JD Vance and Tim Walz.

 

At the end of last month Miller placed Kamala Harrisahead of Trump – on September 30 she was predicted to take 308 electoral votes and Trump just 230.

 

However, after a week of Democrat numbers dropping, on October 7 the Republican took the lead with 270 to Harris’ 268.

 

==As of Thursday morning, Miller now predicts Trump will win the election with 275 electoral votes – just above the 270 minimum needed= - putting Harris on 263. However, the expert is unable to explain why the change has happened - and isn’t convinced it will last.

 

“We have not identified a single event to explain the drop in end-of-day forecasts for the Democratic ticket between October 6 and 7,” Miller’s website reads.(are these people stupid, the Hurricane in NC and Southern states, totally mishandled, downplayed by Harris and Bidan!)

 

Miller’s methodology relies on PredictIT, a popular political betting website. Miller translates daily pricing data from the site to estimate vote share, claiming this method is more reliable than typical opinion polls.

 

“Prediction markets are more reliable than pollsters and pundits,” Miller told Northwestern University. “A betting market isn’t asking people to give an opinion or preference but to put their money down.”

 

“When you put your money down, you believe what you are betting on,” he added. “You might not like the outcome, but you believe it will happen.”

 

This election marks “the first time in history” a race has switched between a tossup and a landslide so many times, Miller told Fortune Magazine.

 

“The dynamic of this election is that after one candidate jumps way out in front, the race always works its way back to even,” he said. “That’s where it stands now. I follow this minute by minute, and the results keep toggling back and forth around the 270 electoral.

 

However, Miller does not believe Trump will remain ahead in his predictions as November 5 gets closer.

 

“We’re an incredibly divided nation,” Miller told Fortune. “The most likely trend over the next 26 days to November 5 is that the forecast keeps going back to a tossup. The next month will be a crazy time.”

 

Meanwhile, the latest average of national polls places Harris with a 2.6-point lead over Trump. Vance has also seen a popularity spike following his debate with Walz, according to a recent YouGov poll.

For five days, more than 1,200 troops faced temperatures fluctuating between -10 degrees Celsius and extreme conditions, performing a myriad of combined missions that encompassed air, sea and land insertions, strengthening interoperability and underlining the importance of international cooperation to meet future challenges effectively.

 

“This is the first time we are executing this type of exercise in a combined way, in this hard environment which is difficult to manage,” says an operator from the Special Forces Group of the Chilean Army. “The exchange we have had on this opportunity has been a great experience both for them and for us.”

 

Lieutenant Colonel Daniel González, Commander of the 1st Battalion of the 7th U.S. Special Forces Group, adds that although his unit already participated in a similar exercise called Estrella Austral last year, the experience in Pacific Dagger has been unique. “The most important thing is teamwork with our Chilean comrades who live here and operate in the environment all the time. We have been operating with them for a few weeks and sharing our tactics and techniques, but the most important thing is to listen to what they have to say. The Combined Joint Task Force (CJSOTF), located more than 2,000 kilometers from the city of Punta Arenas, operated from the “Lautaro” Special Operations Brigade (BOE) (BOE), in the Metropolitan Region of Chile. This command post coordinated the missions and operations of the Special Forces operators, ensuring that all tasks were executed effectively.

 

A crucial part of the success of these operations was the Force Integration Training (FIT) phase, prior to the exercise. This phase was aimed at standardizing procedures and techniques among the involved Special Forces units. Through combined training and integrated exercises, it ensured that all components of the force had a uniform understanding and the ability to operate, thus optimizing coordination and effectiveness during actual operations.

 

“The objective of this training was to perform it rigorously in an extreme scenario like Punta Arenas. We had to deal with temperatures of -10 degrees and quite a lot of adverse atmospheric conditions. It is important to point out that one of the most important tasks was the emergency and contingency planning, reacting in the shortest possible time, always maintaining the effectiveness of the actions,” said the Commander of the Chilean Special Operations Task Force.

 

Pacific Dagger 2024 not only demonstrated the high level of cooperation between the Chilean and U.S. militaries, but also highlighted the ability of both countries to jointly conduct special operations in challenging environments. The Justice Department officials who will decide whether President Joe Biden’s anti-monopoly guru can handle the government’s massive case against Google previously ran nonprofits that took loads of cash from the tech giant, disclosures show.

 

In May, the feds tentatively yanked Assistant Attorney General Jonathan Kanter—whom the administration brought on last year to lead its antitrust division—from its investigations and legal efforts against Google’s parent company, Alphabet Inc, including the mega-suit the Department of Justice brought in 2020 alleging the company unfairly undercuts rivals. The move came after Google urged the federal government to force Kanter to recuse himself, noting his previous private-sector work against the company on behalf of such clients as Microsoft and Yelp, and his history of critical commentary about the California-based powerhouse’s business practices.

 

But the officials who will make a final determination about whether Kanter will resume his responsibilities in the Google cases have their own histories in the private sector—including with organizations that benefited from the company’s lavish giving.

• That decision will ultimately fall to Associate Attorney General Vanita Gupta, Kanter’s superior. Prior to attaining her post last April, Gupta served as president and CEO of the nonprofit Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights and its affiliate, the Leadership Conference Education Fund, a role she assumed in 2017 after exiting the Obama Administration.

• As far back as 2016, and through this year, Google’s own biannual releases have listed the Leadership Conference as among “the groups that receive the most substantial contributions” from the company’s philanthropic arm. The firm’s disclosures do not divulge dollar amounts, and it did not respond to repeated requests for comment from The Daily Beast.

• However, Gupta’s total compensation including salary and benefits at the Leadership Conference groups is a matter of public record: more than $1,154,206 through 2020, the most recent year for which their tax forms are available.

• Gupta is not alone. Her senior counselor, Gene Kimmelman—a veteran of the Obama Administration’s antitrust division—headed up the consumer advocacy organization Public Knowledge between 2014 and 2021. This group, too, has featured on Google’s lists of the biggest recipients of its largesse since 2015.

• Public Knowledge’s inconsistently updated “Funding Sources” page does not reveal exact figures for the size of the gifts it got from Google, but rather lump the company into its “$25,000+” category for 2015-2017, 2018-2019 and 2019-2020, and the $50,000 group in 2020-2021. These categories do not provide upper ceilings for the size of the donations.

• However, more precise figures are available for Kimmelman’s compensation: $1.88 million during his tenure atop the nonprofit. Public Knowledge told The Daily Beast that Kimmelman severed his connection to the group at the start of 2021, and has not received any further payments since that date.

Blessings Dear Ones.

 

It is wonderful to be speaking with all of you at this time.

 

Regardless of whether one is spiritually awakened or not, each individual on Earth is experiencing intense changes within.

 

Those of you who were chosen to be present and aware during these times were deemed to be among the strongest and most evolved. Which means that you are capable of withstanding the energies emerging from the Earth’s ascension process, in these grand moments. Additionally, you needed to be able to endure the intense personal clearings required to harmonize with the higher frequencies of an evolving Earth.

 

Despite the apparent chaos on Earth in these moments, it is important to remember that even if you do not understand it, everything is unfolding according to the Divine Plan. Everything the dark ones push, backfires on them, and they are being exposed for their actions. Any attempts they have made in stopping the ascension has been foiled.

 

The recent significant solar events have the potential to awaken many individuals from their slumber. These intense frequencies are impacting every person on Earth, even if they are unaware of the changes occurring within them.

 

Particularly affected are those who choose to dismiss or reject anything that challenges their belief systems, as they are now receiving their “wake up calls”.

 

These vibrations will manifest in their lives as experiences intended to shake them awake, and compel them to reevaluate their beliefs. It will not be an easy journey for them.

 

Trust the process, dear ones, and be aware that much is happening behind the scenes that most are not yet conscious of.

 

When fear and doubt arise, remember to go within, requesting guidance from your own Divine Essence. Throughout your day, focus on the truth beyond the limitations of the 3rd-dimensional world. Simple reminders, like pausing to silently acknowledge…and repeat the Words “I am,” can be powerful.

 

At a certain point in every person’s spiritual journey, a choice must be made between embracing and living in the Higher Light or clinging to illusions.

 

You are not merely a physical being subject to the hardships of disease, lack, violence, pain, and suffering. You are a being of Light, only bound by the illusions of the material reality.

 

As Humans awaken, they must confront long held outdated beliefs, that are deeply ingrained in every aspect of life on earth.

 

For those truly committed to their spiritual evolution, you must leave behind all that does not serve you in The Higher light.

 

Stagnation occurs when one continues to straddle the line between reality and the illusions of the 3rd dimensional world even though they know the truth.

 

Every individual yearns for happiness and wholeness, which is essentially the Soul’s desire to reunite with source Light and to be one within itself.

 

This inner longing is misunderstood in the 3rd-dimensional mindset, as a relentless pursuit of external sources and material wealth for fulfillment.

 

Each person carries their level of consciousness from one lifetime to the next, which explains why some find it easier to grasp deeper truths than others. Most of you reading and hearing these messages were already highly evolved when you incarnated, allowing you to participate in the ascension process as enlightened beings. Have patience and compassion for your fellow humans as they have not yet discovered their Divine Light.

 

It is important in these times of your Ascension, to refrain from becoming entangled in 3rd-dimensional issues and instead focus on radiating Light wherever you go. Light work involves embodying the essence of Light in your everyday activities, and sharing it with Others. In these moments of upheaval, your fellow Humans Need your Love, support and healing.

It is Ashtar, and it’s such an honor to know that you’ve recognized and felt my presence. There are many Beings that are lining up to share and iterate messages that speak to all of you.

 

What we simply wish for you to know is to sit tight, hang tight, for the energies are going to be wild. They have already been wild for some time. Keep in mind the backdrop of incoming energies are here to help humanity release what they need to release. An Energetic Alignment Will Unfold

We simply wish for you to know, as we are showing Kate, there is a beautiful alignment. There have been a series of celestial alignments. But there is an alignment of a different sort. It is more of an energetic alignment, and it is an alignment where Earth is in many ways coming into a fuller and clearer (or more unobstructed) view with the galactic center. As a result of this, the incoming energies do not need to pass through any other celestial body. There is no circumventing involved. It is in many ways a direct hit. And as a result, this is what will create a wild ride.

 

But remember that even the wildest rides always end up in a level of re-stabilization, and this will be a re-stabilization that will look and feel different for everyone. Nonetheless, it is exactly where each individual needs to be. Nonetheless, for the vast majority of those who will not resist these energies, there will be a leveling up, an energetic upgrade. And how individuals move into this upgrade is largely up to them and how much support they are open to receiving, how much they tune into their own feelings, their own needs, how much they heed their own internal compass to do what is right for them.

 

Consciousness Upgrades

But there are those within the collective who perhaps may not respond or react to these energies this time around. Yet remember, the Universe unfolds in a way that beautifully supports the expansion of all Beings. So if they are not onboard this time, eventually those individuals will come around in a way that even up levels them to a playing field that will allow their consciousness to be even a little more open than in the past. The goal here — the objective for humanity — is an ongoing, gradual opening and expansion of consciousness. Our friends, this is different for everyone. For everyone to expand their consciousness does not mean that everyone will align in their political ideologies, nor in their beliefs, but it is an up leveling of consciousness that they need to connect with at a soul level. This is part of their blueprint or their energetic signature that carries them into an experience that represents a progression.

You were born into these bodies and are supposed to have everything you need for free and not to pay for anything. Instead you earn a right to live only by working most of your life for pennies in a comparison to the chosen ones by the Darkness. Their financial system is going to collapse, because it’s based on greed and suffering, despite all of the attempts from the Negative Ones to save it. On October 8, 2024, the News/Media Alliance joined letters of support for the‘Protect Reporters from Exploitative State Spying Act’ (PRESS Act), led by Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press and joined by 107 news media and press rights organizations, including almost every state press association across the country. The letters urge the Senate to advance the bill this term and for the House to support the measure should it return to the House.

 

In January, the House passed the PRESS Act on a unanimous basis, led by RepresentativesKevin Kiley (R-CA) and Jamie Raskin (D-MD). The Senate bill is led by Senators Ron Wyden (D-OR) and Mike Lee (R-UT) and cosponsored by Judiciary Committee Chairman Richard Durbin (D-IL) and Ranking Member Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC). In June, the News/Media Alliance joined a letter with RCFP and over 50 other news media and press rights organizations, calling for the Senate to advance the bill. While time to pass legislation this term wanes, support for the PRESS Act continues to grow and the News/Media Alliance will continue to vigorously advocate for its passage.

The Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press is once again urging members of Congress to pass a bipartisan shield bill that wouldestablish robust federal protections for the newsgathering rights of journalists.

 

In separate letters sent on Oct. 8 to the U.S. Senate and U.S. House of Representatives, the Reporters Committee and 107 news media and press rights organizations expressed strong support for the Protect Reporters from Exploitative State Spying Act, or PRESS Act, which passed the House in January and is currently pending in the Senate Judiciary Committee.

 

The PRESS Act wouldbar the federal government from using subpoenas, search warrants, or other compulsory actions against journaliststo force the disclosure of information identifying confidential sources as well as other newsgathering records, except in very limited circumstances. It would also broadlylimit the government’s ability to use the same actions against third parties, including email providers and search engines, to seize journalists’ data, with narrow exceptions. The Reporters Committee’s letter to the Senate urges leadership to advance the PRESS Act and similarly urges Senators to support the measure if it does advance. In the letter to the House, the Reporters Committee commends members for passing the bill earlier this year and urges them to continue to support the measure if it returns to the chamber for another vote.

 

“The PRESS Act is a reasonable, common-sense measure to preserve the free flow of information to the public, as evidenced by its broad bipartisan support and the fact that 49 states and the District of Columbia have similar protections,” the letters state. “All reflect the reality that the press cannot fulfill its constitutionally recognized watchdog role without some safeguard for confidential source identities and sensitive newsgathering material.”
