=Tesla Takedown Protests a Bust in Texas 2nd Largest City

SAN ANTONIO, Texas —Two anti-Tesla protests were held in San Antonio as part of what organizers called a “Global Day of Action.” The plan called for demonstrations at 200 Tesla dealershipsworldwide on Saturday. Despite being the second largest city in the Lone Star State with a population of nearly 1.5 million residents, less than a dozen protesters showed up at each of the two scheduled Tesla protests in the Alamo City.

 

Breitbart Texas observed each anti-Elon Musk demonstration, which began before noon at one dealership closer to the heart of the city and another held two hours later at a Tesla dealership several miles away.Neither protest garnered more than a dozen attendees who waved signs critical of Tesla, CEO Elon Musk, and President Donald Trump.

 

Many of the signs carried contained Nazi symbols, including the swastika, which is a symbol carved into Tesla autos during recent acts of vandalism against Tesla owners. The symbol has also been painted at several Tesla dealerships across the country.

 

Although the organizers of the rally indicate they do not promote the ongoing vandalism against the electronic vehicle automaker or vehicle owners, the increase in violent acts against both has drawn the ire of the Trump administration.

 

Just one week ago, Trump-appointed U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi likened the acts of violence that have occurred at Tesla facilities — including the placement of incendiary devices at a dealership in Austin and acts of arson at other Tesla facilities — as being akin to acts of terrorism. In a statement addressing the acts against the automaker, Bondi promised to impose severe criminal consequences on those involved, saying, “The swarm of violent attacks on Tesla property is nothing short of domestic terrorism.”

 

The protests are not loosely organized activities that occur organically. The protests appear to be sponsored and supported by several well-organized activist groups, including “Troublemakers,” a Seattle, Washington-based liberal action organization, and the “Disruption Project.” The anti-Tesla protests appear to be coordinated, scheduled, and posted on several online platforms, including the Action Network. The postings include instructions to protesters, offer geophysical data and mapping, and offer to assist demonstrators in locating protests across the country.

 

Many, including the automaker’s CEO Elon Musk, believe the funding necessary to hold the protests comes from several organizations funded by ActBlue. a non-profit political action committee and fundraising platform associated with the Democratic Party. In an early March posting on Musk’s X platform, the CEO wrote, “An investigation has found 5 ActBlue-funded groups responsible for Tesla “protests”: Troublemakers, Disruption Project, Rise and Resist, Indivisible Project, and Democratic Socialists of America. ActBlue funders include George Soros, Reid Hoffman, Herbert Sandler, Patricia Bauman, and Leah Hunt-Hendrix.”

 

The lack of significant attendance at the two protests in San Antonio, less than 100 miles from the automaker’s headquarters in Austin, is a sign for some that the movement is losing steam. Breitbart Texas spoke to several customers at the dealership on the north side of San Antonio who seemedunphased by the poorly attended protest.

 

Bryan, a customer who did not want his last name revealed, saidmost residents of the Alamo city have better things to do than wave signs in the Texas heat.

 

“Most of these people here represent the liberal minority. If you look, many are old enough to have been around before cars were invented.Their boycott of Tesla is meaningless and has no impact on whether I buy one today or not,” he emphasized. One customer left the lot to address the protesters, accusing them of not understanding the issues at hand.

 

The female customer shouted, “Musk is cutting waste, that’s all. Why are you here!”

AB: If I remember correctly, you do not consider the nation of Israel to be God’s people today. However, based on Jeremiah 31:35-37, the Bible tells me that they still are His people. I follow with great interest what is happening in and around Israel today.

 

 

JEA: No, I do not see the nation of Israel as God’s chosen people. Many biblical references support this conclusion, and the early church held the same view. The scholarship on this topic is extensive. Christian Zionism began to identify the nation of Israel as God’s people only after the establishment of Israel in 1948. Even Israeli historians, such as Benny Morris, have acknowledged that Israel had to expel the Palestinians for the Israeli nation to exist. Based on archival evidence, Morris wrote the following:

 

“A Jewish state would not have come into being without the uprooting of 700,000 Palestinians. Therefore it was necessary to uproot them. There was no choice but to expel that population. It was necessary to cleanse the hinterland and cleanse the border areas and cleanse the main roads. Headquarters of New Mexico Republican Party Targeted in ‘Deliberate Act of Arson’

The headquarters for the Republican Party in New Mexico was targeted Sunday in what is being called “a deliberate act of arson,” leaving the entryway to the building destroyed.

 

In a post on X, the Republican Party of New Mexico revealed the damage to the state’s GOP headquarters in Albuquerque also included the words “ICE=KKK” spray painted on a wall of the building. The attack was described as being “fueled by hatred and intolerance.”

 

“Early this morning, the entryway of the Republican Party of New Mexico’s headquarters in Albuquerque was destroyed in a deliberate act of arson which also included spray painting the words ‘ICE=KK,'” the post read. “This horrific attack, fueled by hatred and intolerance, is a direct assault on our values, freedoms, and our right to political expression.”

 

Amy Barela, the chairwoman of the Republican Party in New Mexico issued a statement expressing relief that no one was harmed.

 

“We are deeply relieved that no one was harmed in what could have been a tragic and deadly attack,” Barela said.“Those who resort to violence to undermine our state and nation must be held accountable, and our state leaders must reinforce through decisive action that these cowardly attacks will not be tolerated.”

 

Barela continued:

 

We are working closely with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), local law enforcement, and federal investigators. We are committed to providing every piece of evidence necessary to bring those responsible to justice and ensure they are prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

 

Daniel Garcia, a spokesperson for the Democratic Party of New Mexico issued a statementthat theparty hopes “whoever is responsible is found and held accountable,” according to the Albuquerque Journal.

 

“We firmly maintain that this sort of act has absolutely no place in our democracy, and that peaceful discourse and organization are the only ways to approach political difference in our country,” said Garcia.

 

Officials from Albuquerque Fire Rescue (AFR) and Bernalillo County Fire Rescue “responded to a call of a structure fire” a little before 6:00 a.m. and the fire was reportedly “brought under control within five minutes,” according to the outlet.

 

Barela vowed that the Republican Party in the state would “emerge from this strong, more united, and more determined to fight for the people” in the state.

 

“We will not allow New Mexico’s broken criminal justice system to dilute the seriousness of this attack,” Barela said. “The Republican Party of New Mexico will not be silenced. CBS Poll: Signal-Gate Fails as Trump Maintains 50 Percent Approval Rating

Media attacks on the Trump administration due to the Atlantic‘s leak of Signal messages do “not seem tied to evaluations of Mr. Trump overall,” according to a CBS News poll that found the president’s approval rating to be 50 percent.

 

The poll, released Sunday morning, surveyed more than 2,600 Americans from across the country on March 27 and 28:

 

While the vast majority of respondents said last week’s Signal incident — in which National Security Adviser Mike Waltz accidentally added the Atlanticeditor-in-chief, Jeffrey Goldberg, into an encrypted group chat where plans to attack the Houthis were discussed — was “serious,” President Donald Trump’s job approval has not suffered.

 

On the economy, Americans have voiced mixed views.

 

While 31 percent of respondents reported that the Trump administration is focusing on lowering consumer prices the “right amount,” 64 percent said it is “not enough.”On tariffs, 38 percent said that the administration has enacted the “right amount,” while 55 percent said it has done “too much.”

 

Only five percent of respondents said they wanted more tariffs, the poll found.

 

People still have not stopped blaming former President Joe Biden’s economic policies for today’s inflation, however, with 38 percent of respondents saying he is “more responsible” for it.

 

A lesser chunk of 34 percent said Trump is “more responsible” for today’s inflation rate, while 19 percent said it is “both equally,” and nine percent said “neither.”

 

Overall, 48 percent of respondents said they approved of Trump’s current handling of the economy.

 

Even greater than Trump’s overall rating is his approval on how he is handling immigration, with 53 percent voicing approval. On his plan to deport illegal migrants, 58 percent voiced approval.

 

Thoughts on Trump’s cuts to federal agency staff are split down the middle, with half the respondents saying they approve of the efforts taken by the administration, including the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), to shrink departments.

There are real reasons for someone to feel righteous anger regarding Elon. The problem is that people are ACTING in anger without thinking.

re: Trump for a third term

As happy as I am that Trump is POTUS I hope he does not try for a third+ term. First because it would set a very bad precedent. What would there be to stop Obama from doing the same thing? The original text of the Constitution had the vice president being the runner-up in the presidential race. So clearly the intent was for the qualifications for vice president to be the same as those for president. Under that standard if someone that has already served two terms as president can not run for a third term then they can not run for the vice president slot either. Yes the matter is made vague due to the 22nd amendment, but the principle remains. Personally I would rather see legislation that explicitly made the qualifications for VP the same as for POTUS. I hope that is why Trump is doing this.

The second reason is that using loopholes and arguing about what the meaning of the word is is, is what the uniparty and DSers do. For Trump to do so would lower him in my opinion. We need a return to principle not a continuation of the race to the legalistic bottom.

Trump threatens Zelensky with ‘big problems’

The US president has warned Kiev against “backing out” of the rare earth deal with Washington

 

US President Donald Trump has warned Vladimir Zelensky to think twice before rejecting the latest version of Washington’s proposed minerals deal– already far harsher than an earlier draft derailed by the Ukrainian leader’s outburst at the White House.

 

Trump has repeatedly demanded that Kiev reimburse what he claims are hundreds of billions of dollars in US aid through Ukraine’s mineral wealth, originally focusing on “rare earths.” A previous version of the deal was supposed to be signed in early March but was abruptly withdrawn after Zelensky clashed publicly with Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance during an Oval Office meeting.

 

After Trump temporarily froze all military aid and intelligence sharing with Kiev, Zelensky has signaled willingness to return to negotiations, while still insisting that Kiev does not “owe”Washington anything.

 

On Friday, Zelensky confirmed that Ukraine had received a new draft proposal, but claimed“there are a lot of things that had not been discussed before. And there are also some things that the parties had previously rejected.”

 

In response, Trump accused Zelensky of trying to renege on the proposed agreement in his remarks to reporters aboard Air Force One on Sunday, as reported by Reuters.

 

Zelensky, by the way… I see he is trying to back out of the rare earth deal, and if he does that, he’s got some problems – big, big problems.

 

“We made a deal on rare earths. And now he is saying: ‘Well, you know, I wanna renegotiate’… If he is looking to negotiate the deal, he’s got big problems,” the US president added.

 

Trump also reiterated that Ukraine should abandon its aspirations to join NATO. “He wants to be a member of NATO,but he’s never going to be a member of NATO,” Trump said, adding that even Zelensky “understands that.”

 

According to Reuters, the latest version of the minerals deal is significantly harsher than earlier iterations.Under the proposed terms, the US would recoup all aid provided to Ukrainesince the 2022 escalation of its conflict with Russia,and would impose a 4% annual interest rateon the total before Kiev could access any of the profits from the joint extraction fund.

 

The US has allocated more than $123 billion in military and financial assistance to Ukraine since 2022, according to data from Germany’s Kiel Institute. Trump, however, claims the true cost to Washington has exceeded $300 billion.

EU and USAID running political ‘experiments’ in Moldova – opposition MP

 

The country’s pro-Western government has extended the arrest of the Moldovan autonomous region’s leader by 20 days

 

Moldovan opposition MP Marina Tauber has criticized the EU for abandoning the principles of democracy and the rule of law by ignoring the crackdown on Governor Evgenia Gutsul, who leads the autonomous region of Gagauzia.

 

A vocal opponent of the country’s pro-Western leadership, Gutsul was detained on Tuesday evening at Chisinau Airport. Prosecutors allege financial irregularities during her 2023 campaign and claim she is involved in a Russian-backed operation to derail Moldova’s EU aspirations. Gutsul has denied any wrongdoing, accusing PresidentMaia Sandu’s administration of using lawfare to erode Gagauzia’s autonomy.

 

In an interview with RT on Saturday, Tauber – a former deputy leader of the now-banned SOR party – condemned Gutsul’s arrest as politically motivated, saying:“This decision will remain in the history of our country – but only from the negative point of view.”

 

The lawmaker accused theSandu government of disregarding national interests and acting under foreign influence, pointing to Brussels andWashington’s primary funding channel for political projects abroad, USAID.

 

“They are taking the decisions for us.What was done within the USAID organization and the other funds from the European Union – they are not for the reforms. They are paying for the decision that the European Union wants to see in Moldova,” Tauber told RT, expressing skepticism that Brussels will intervene, even given Moldova’s status as an EU candidate.

 

Democracy, the rule of law, and all the values that the European Union was promoting… We cannot even talk about democracy or the rule of law in our country. I don’t know what they are doing – maybe some experiments. They are spending a lot of money just to rule.

 

Located in southern Moldova, Gagauzia is home to a Turkic-speaking Orthodox Christian minority and enjoys broad self-rule under national law. Sandu has disputed Gutsul’s legitimacy and denounced her party, the SOR, as a “criminal organization.” In 2023, a court in Chisinau declared the party “unconstitutional,” despite its six seats in parliament.

 

Earlier this week, Gutsul appealed to Russian President Vladimir Putin and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to help defend Gagauzia’s autonomy, saying the region looks “with hope and faith to Russia.”

 

The SOR party has called the case against Gutsul politically motivated.

 

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov condemned the arrest, stating that Chisinaushows “no regard for democratic principles or political pluralism” and is openly working to “suppress political opponents.”

Massie has been outspoken against the American Israel Public Affairs Committee and its influence on American politics, and in December 2023 tweeted out a meme appearing to contrast Zionism with American patriotism.[102]

Massie voted "present" on the 2015 Iran nuclear agreement, the only member of the House to do so and the only Republican not to vote against it.[111]

Massie was the only member of the House to vote against extending sanctions on Iran in 2016.[112]

He was also one of only three House members to vote against a 2017 bill to impose new sanctions on Iran, Russia, and North Korea.[113]

‘Absolute liars': Ex-D.C. Guard official says generals lied to Congress about Jan. 6

In a 36-page memo to the Capitol riot committee, Col. Earl Matthews also slams the Pentagon’s inspector general for what he calls an error-ridden report.

A former D.C. National Guard official is accusing two senior Army leaders of lying to Congress and participating in a secret attempt to rewrite the history of the military’s response to the Capitol riot.

 

In a 36-page memo, Col. Earl Matthews, who held high-level National Security Council and Pentagon roles during the Trump administration, slams the Pentagon’s inspector general for what he calls an error-riddled report that protects a top Army official who argued against sending the National Guard to the Capitol on Jan. 6, delaying the insurrection response for hours.

 

Matthews’ memo, sent to the Jan. 6 select committee this month and obtained by POLITICO, includes detailed recollections of the insurrection response as it calls two Army generals — Gen. Charles Flynn, who served as deputy chief of staff for operations on Jan. 6, and Lt. Gen. Walter Piatt, the director of Army staff — “absolute and unmitigated liars” for their characterization of the events of that day. Matthews has never publicly discussed the chaos of the Capitol siege.

 

On Jan. 6, Matthews was serving as the top attorney to Maj. Gen. William Walker, then commanding general of the D.C. National Guard. Matthews’ memo defends the Capitol attack response by Walker, who now serves as the House sergeant at arms, amplifying Walker’s previous congressional testimony about the hourslong delay in the military’s order for the D.C. National Guard to deploy to the riot scene.

 

“Every leader in the D.C. Guard wanted to respond and knew they could respond to the riot at the seat of government” before they were given clearance to do so on Jan. 6, Matthews’ memo reads. Instead, he said, D.C. guard officials “set [sic] stunned watching in the Armory” during the first hours of the attack on Congress during its certification of the 2020 election results.

 

Matthews’ memo levels major accusations: that Flynn and Piatt lied to Congress about their response to pleas for the D.C. Guard to quickly be deployed on Jan. 6; that the Pentagon inspector general’s November report on Army leadership’s response to the attack was “replete with factual inaccuracies”; and that the Army has created its own closely held revisionist document about the Capitol riot that’s “worthy of the best Stalinist or North Korea propagandist.”

 

The memo follows Walker’s own public call for the inspector general to retract its detailed report on the events of Jan. 6, as first reported by The Washington Post. Walker told the Post he objected to specific allegations by the Pentagon watchdog that Matthews’ memo also criticizes, calling the inspector general’s report “inaccurate” and “sloppy work.”

 

The new memo from Matthews, who now serves in the Army reserves, emerges as officials involved in the response that day try to explain their decision-making to investigators. The House select committee has probed the attack for months, and earlier this year top officials testified before the House oversight panel.

 

Reached for comment, Matthews said the memo he wrote is entirely accurate. “Our Army has never failed us and did not do so on January 6, 2021,” he said. “However, occasionally some of our Army leaders have failed us and they did so on January 6th. Then they lied about it and tried to cover it up. They tried to smear a good man and to erase history.”

 

Flynn, now the commanding general of the U.S. Army Pacific, and Piatt didn’t respond to messages. Army spokesperson Mike Brady said in a statement that the service’s “actions on January 6th have been well-documented and reported on, and Gen. Flynn and Lt. Gen. Piatt have been open, honest and thorough in their sworn testimony with Congress and DOD investigators.”

‘Absolute liars': Ex-D.C. Guard official says generals lied to Congress about Jan. 6Part II

At the time, Piatt was the director of Army staff, one of the top generals in the Pentagon, and Flynn was the Army’s director of operations. The two men were the highest-ranking Army officials who spoke on the 2:30 call, according to Matthews.

 

“LTG Piatt stated that it would not be his best military advice to recommend to the Secretary of the Army that the D.C. National Guard be allowed to deploy to the Capitol at that time,” Matthews wrote, adding: “LTGs Piatt and Flynn stated that the optics of having uniformed military personnel deployed to the U.S. Capitol would not be good.”

Piatt and Flynn suggested instead that Guardsmen take over D.C. police officers’ traffic duties so those officers could head to the Capitol, Matthews continues.

 

In addition to Matthews’ memo, POLITICO also obtained a document produced by a D.C. Guard official and dated Jan. 7 that lays out a timeline of Jan. 6. The D.C. Guard timeline, a separate document whose author took notes during the call, also said that Piatt and Flynn at 2:37 p.m. “recommended for DC Guard to standby,” rather than immediately deploying to the Capitol during the riot.

 

Four minutes later, according to that Guard timeline, Flynn again “advised D.C. National Guard to standby until the request has been routed” to then-Army Secretary Ryan McCarthy and then-acting Defense Secretary Chris Miller.

Everyone on the call was “astounded” except Piatt and Flynn, Matthews wrote.

Both men, however, later denied to Congress that they had said the Guard shouldn’t deploy to the Capitol.

In response to a written question from House Oversight Committee Chair Carolyn Maloney (D-N.Y.) in June about whether Piatt advised anyone in the Guard’s chain of command not to deploy directly to the Capitol, Piatt wrote, “At no point on January 6 did I tell anyone that the D.C. National Guard should not deploy directly to the Capitol.”

 

That statement, Matthews says in his memo, is “false and misleading.”

Walker also testified to Congress in March that Piatt and Flynn expressed concerns about “optics.”

Further, Flynn told Maloney that he “never expressed a concern about the visuals, image, or public perception of” sending Guardsmen to the Capitol.

That answer, Matthews says in his memo, is “outright perjury.”

Matthews wrote that he and Walker “heard Flynn identify himself and unmistakably heard him say that optics of a National Guard presence on Capitol Hill was an issue for him. That it would not look good. Either Piatt or Flynn mentioned ‘peaceful protestors.’”

 

Flynn’s brother, retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, promulgated a host of conspiracy theories in the lead-up to Jan. 6 and called for former President Donald Trump to impose martial law. Matthews’ memo does not insinuate that Gen. Charles Flynn’s actions on Jan. 6 were shaped by his brother, who has been subpoenaed by the select committee, and does not mention Michael Flynn.

 

The two generals told the House oversight committee that the Guard wasn’t ready to respond to the chaos that day, and Flynn testified to the House Oversight Committee in June that a “team of over 40 officers and non-commissioned officers immediately worked to recall the 154 D.C. National Guard personnel from their current missions, reorganize them, re-equip them, and begin to redeploy them to the Capitol.” Matthews says that assertion “constituted the willful deception of Congress.”

 

“If it does not constitute the willful and deliberate misleading of Congress, then nothing does,” Matthews wrote of Flynn’s statement. “Flynn was referring to 154 D.C. Guardsmen who were already on duty, were trained in civil disturbance response, already had area familiarization with Washington, DC, were properly kitted and were delayed only because of inaction and inertia at the Pentagon.”

 

In other words, Matthews indicates, the idea that it took 40 officers to get 154 National Guard personnel ready to go to the Capitol beggars belief.

Every D.C. Guard leader was desperate to get to the Capitol to help, Matthews writes — then stunned by the delay in deployment. Responding to civil unrest in Washington is “a foundational mission, a statutory mission of the D.C. National Guard,” his memo notes.

That report states that McCarthy had to call Walker twice on Jan. 6 to order him to deploy the D.C. Guard. Matthews’ memo calls this “an outrageous assertion … as insulting as it is false,” and says McCarthy himself was “incommunicado or unreachable for most of the afternoon.”

 

The inspector general’s report says McCarthy arrived at the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department at 4:05 p.m., and that “witnesses told us that not having heard from MG Walker regarding any specific plan.” McCarthy and others present, including D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser and D.C. Police Chief Robert Contee, themselves drafted a comprehensive plan for the Guard’s deployment, according to the Pentagon watchdog.

 

The report further says that soon afterward, Miller and Gen. Mark Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, reviewed that plan over the phone. Miller authorized the deployment of the D.C. Guard and McCarthy informed Walker of it during a call at 4:35 p.m; McCarthy then held apress conference with the D.C. mayor and called Walker again to reissue the order that he deploy the Guard, according to the Pentagon inspector general.

 

Matthews challenges that Jan. 6 timetable in his memo. He writes that D.C. Guard leaders “still have not seen this so-called plan developed by McCarthy and allegedly approved by Acting Secretary Miller at 4:32PM.” He adds that the idea that the Army secretary would give Guard personnel support for tactical planning and coordination is “patently absurd.”

 

Walker, meanwhile, has said no call happened between him and McCarthy at 4:35 p.m. The D.C. Guard’s Jan. 6 timeline — produced while Walker helmed the D.C. National Guard — does not document any phone call between McCarthy and Walker at 4:35.

 

Both McCarthy and Miller declined to comment.

 

Megan Reed, a spokesperson for the Pentagon inspector general, said their office stands by its report.

 

Matthews’ memo also homes in on a document that Army officials have referenced but never fully revealed, titled “Report of the Army’s Operations on January 6 2021.” In Matthews’ view, it lays out a fabricated timeline in a bid to burnish the Army’s reputation.

 

According to Matthews, Piatt helped produce the document after a series of bruising congressional hearings and news reports that damaged the reputations of Army senior leadership — among them, a Washington Post report that the Army falsely denied Flynn’s participation in the 2:30 p.m. phone call.

 

“In March 2021, MG Walker was told by a friend that LTG Piatt was so upset with MG Walker that he directed the development of an Army ‘White Paper’ to retell events of 6 January in a light more favorable to LTGs Flynn, Piatt, Secretary McCarthy and the Army Staff,” Matthews writes.

 

The Army Staff ultimately sought “to create an alternate history which would be the Army’s official recollection of events,” Matthews continues, adding: “The end product, a revisionist tract worthy of the best Stalinist or North Korea propagandist, was close hold,” kept secret from the public.

 

But members of Congress have seen the document. Piatt referenced it during a House Oversight Committee hearing in June when asked about conflicting recollections of the afternoon of Jan. 6.

 

“I would refer to the U.S. Army Report of Operations on January 6 that we submitted to this committee,” Piatt told lawmakers. “What the D.C. National Guard did in those short hours was extraordinary. Now when people’s lives are on the line, two minutes is too long. But we were not positioned to respond to that urgent request. We had to re-prepare so we would send them in prepared for … this new mission.”
