When the FBI raided the home of Oakland mayor Sheng Thao, the offices of California Waste Solutions, and the homes of California Waste Solutions’ owners Andy Duong and his parents, David and Linda Duong in June 2024, Andy Duong’s Instagram account featured numerous photos of him with Rob and Mia Bonta. Duong even jetted off to the Philippines with Rob, whom he calls “his brother” in one particularly cringy image of him huddled with the Bontas in a limousine. In addition to Warriors games, trips to exotic lands, and limo rides, Duong shoveled cash to the current attorney general from his family’s businesses and their associates throughout his political career. Those associates, it turns out, are woven in a tangled web of pay-to-play politics, attempted murders, human trafficking, drugs, and warnings of a compromising video tied to Rob Bonta.

Not only are the Bontas tied to Andy Duong, but they’re also associated with a failed fuel company run by Mario Juarez, a longtime Oakland political operative who served on the Alameda County Democratic Central Committee and helped allies like Bonta maintain power on party committees. He and Rob Bonta were described in court filings as “close political allies” who “befriended politically powerful and resourced people.” Juarez donated modestly to Bonta (around $500 in 2016, plus more from associates), and later served as Bonta’s alternate on the committee, making calls on his behalf in 2021 and 2022.

People laughed at President Trump when he began to push Republican-dominated states to do what Democrat-run states had already done decades ago:redistrict their state’s congressional seats to their partisan advantage. The usual-usuals among the Republican Party’s oh-so-smartestassured us this would backfire. But Trump understood that Democrats had long ago redistricted to within an inch of their lives and that Republicans hadn’t.The advantage in that war could only go to the GOP.

You see, Illinois has 17 total congressional seats,and 14 are held by Democratswhenonly 54 percent of Illinoisans voted Democratin the most recent statewide elections.

Maryland has eight congressional seats andseven go to Democrats, when Democrats only make upabout 60 percent of the voting population.

New York has 26 congressional seats.Democrats hold 21 of those seats, even though the state is only about55 percent Democrat.

And on and on it goes like that inBlue States, especially in the Northeast.

So Trump decided to act like a Democrat, and Democrats were so spooked that Virginia’s new Democrat governor, AbigailSpanberger, broke a major campaign promise not to redistrict. She tried. The state’s Democrats tried.They tried so hard that they broke the law. Thankfully, the State’s Supreme Court put a stop to it.

Trump had his own setback in Indiana, wheresquishy Republican state senators refused to redistrict. As always,Trump got the last word. Most of those state senatorslost their primaries to Trump-backed candidateswho will undoubtedly redistrict in time for the next round of U.S. House races in 2028.

However you look at it,Trump won the redistricting war by picking up 16 seats to the Democrats’ pick up of just six— a net GOP gain of ten. And for that reason, and that reason alone,as of today, holding the House is not only possible, butbased on the latest Cook Political Report,Republicans have a real shot:

The magic number is 218, which meansRepublicans need only to win six of the 18 races listed as toss-ups.

Democrats will need to win 12of those 18 races.

Had Trump listened to all the “smart people,” Republicans would have zero chance to hold on.Fortune favors the bold, as they say.

Now, to be honest, I’d still rather be the Democrats in this scenario. Midterms are midterms, and midterms do not like incumbents, and they especially do not like incumbents when gas prices are around $4.00.

But even if the GOP losesthe House in 2026,more red states will redistrict next year(including Indiana) and that will only benefit the GOP come the 2028 elections. Then, before thenext election cycle, the U.S. Census will dictate which states gain or lose House seats(and electoral votes) in 2030. That will also benefit the GOP, especially if illegal aliens are not counted as they were in 2020.Hopefully, President JD Vance will ensure the 2030 census is not rigged.

There is just no question, though, that withNormal People fleeing all these Democrat-run states, Democrats will be theultimate losers in the next census.

Also worth watching ishow conservatives are rising around the world: in England, across Europe, and most recently in Peru.Could this translate to a stronger turnout for Republicans in 2026 — for the sane party?Something is happening. Something good. There’s no question about that.

Michigan Voters Say They’re Sick of Mass Muslim Migration

Thankfully, President Donald Trump recognizes this unfolding movement in America. In fact, as The Heritage Foundation reported, 2025 was the first year with negative net migration since the 1960s, a huge accomplishment! A multi-layered “America First” agenda prioritizes citizens, including strong border control, internal immigration law enforcement, and more stringent controls over legal migration and work visas for foreigners.

This new trend counters decades of failures that attacked America’s culture, weakened societal cohesion, and saw an ever-lower share of U.S. economic output flow to regular workers. For too long, U.S. policies shaped by ruling-class elites seemed based on three inextricably linked blunders:

• Outsource industry to the world through production offshoring.

• Invade the world through constant warmaking.

• Invite the world via mass migration.

But none of these approaches made Main Street America better. We did not become happier, more patriotic, or more prosperous. In fact, the exact opposite trends unfolded, and a once high-trust society devolved into a culture that tolerates the kinds of systemic, large-scale frauds that Somali migrants now perpetrate upon the citizens of Minnesota.

Like Minnesota, Michigan has struggled to integrate a wave of Muslim immigrants, especially in the Dearborn area outside Detroit. In this TIPP poll of nearly 1,500 voters, Michigan citizens push back. Overall, when asked about migration from poor countries, only 19% say it has been good for Michigan, versus 35% who say it has harmed Michigan, with 30% saying “not much difference” and 16% responding “don’t know.”

When asked about Christian immigrants, the approval numbers are roughly even, with 15% saying Michigan welcomes “too many” versus 12% saying “too few.” But regarding Muslim immigrants, the chasm widens materially. Only 6% of Michigan voters believe Michigan accepts “too few” Islamic immigrants, versus 37% who say there are “too many.”

Even Kamala Harris voters in Michigan agree, with nearly double saying there are “too many” Muslim immigrants compared to those who say “too few.”

Among Catholics in this very Catholic Midwestern state, the margin for “too many” Muslim immigrants versus “too few” is a whopping 47%-6%. Hispanics report a similar ratio, at 41%-5%. Will the open borders advocates simply label these hardworking Hispanics as “xenophobes” or “bigots”? Probably. But the reality is that patriotic, striving Americans simply do not want more mass migration into our homeland, and especially not from majority-Muslim countries.

This poll, mind you, is hardly some skewed MAGA sample. If anything, it’s a tough overall survey for Trump and the GOP. Trump’s job approval rating, in a state he won in 2024, declines all the way to net minus-22, with 36% approval and 58% disapproval. Looking at single women, long a challenging demographic for Republicans, Trump’s job approval is an abysmal minus-44, at 24% approval and 68% disapproval. But even within that group, they totally reject mass Muslim immigration, preferring fewer such migrants by more than a 3-to-1 margin.

Looking at this Michigan data holistically, a clear picture emerges. The public mood is sour. Americans have had enough of mass migration bringing wholesale changes to American life that few citizens actually support.

The sum? America for Americans. Focus here at home, not on faraway wars and not on waving in hordes of people from faraway places. Prioritize our people: American wages, safe streets, and rebuilding a higher-trust society.

As Trump said in his first inaugural address, “These are the just and reasonable demands of a righteous people.”
