Work Has Started On President Donald Trump’s Border Wall Despite Budget Impasse

The United States government is beginning work on a stretch of border wall in south Texas’ Rio Grande Valley, according to the Associated Press, even though Republicans and Democrats are still at an impasse over whether to continue funding the full border wall project.

Construction equipment “began to arrive on Monday,” according to reports, and U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents have begun staging the equipment along the 33-mile stretch marked for building and improvements.

The areas of border wall now under construction are already funded, but only to the tune of about $600 million. The United States government awarded the contract to build the Rio Grande section of border wall back in November of last year to a Galveston, Texas, company that won a contest hosted by the Department of Homeland Security. They’ll build approximately 8 miles of border wall first, at a cost of around $167 million, and then move on to a more permanent concrete barrier in late February.

U.S. News and World Report says that Customs and Border Protection plans to build a customized “border wall system” on the stretch of land, including around 25 miles of concrete border wall topped with 18-foot-high steel posts and a 150-foot “enforcement zone” in front.

The US Syria Withdrawal and the Myth of the Islamic State's "Return"

Massive Harvard Study Contradicts Anti-Pot Propaganda Told to Us for Decades

For decades anti-marijuana and even pro-marijuana advocates have repeated a narrative about the potentially negative effects associated with smoking marijuana and the male sperm count. Smoking weed, we were told, decreases your ability to produce sperm. However, an extensive study published by none other than Harvard researchers this week, reveals quite the opposite may be happening.

The study, titled: Marijuana smoking and markers of testicular function among men from a fertility centre, was published on Wednesday in the journal Human Reproduction. The study posed the question of “Is marijuana smoking associated with semen quality, sperm DNA integrity or serum concentrations of reproductive hormones among subfertile men?”

The answer was surprising as it directly contradicted their expected result based on previously held beliefs and found that marijuana use did indeed appear to have a positive effect on sperm count.

“Our findings were contrary to what we initially hypothesized,” said Feiby Nassan, Ph.D., the study’s lead author and research fellow at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.

The study consisted of examining 662 subfertile men who were enrolled at the Massachusetts General Hospital Fertility Center between 2000 and 2017.

“The men provided a total of 1143 semen samples; 317 men also provided blood samples in which we measured reproductive hormones,” according to the study.

The men self-reported the use of marijuana. Interestingly, whether or not they had smoked it recently or a decade ago did not appear to affect the results. The study’s authors found that men who simply smoked weed at least once in their lives had a significantly higher sperm count than the men who never partook in the plant.

These findings, according to the team, “are not consistent with a deleterious effect of marijuana on testicular function.” The researchers noted that because they found the opposite of what they were looking for, further studies are recommended to confirm their findings.

“Israel uses its Jewish organizations which tried to censor our film… they tried to do it at various festivals and sometimes they succeeded, even when the film was already on the shortlist. We received many threats,” director Julio Perez told RT.

The controversy began at President Trump’s State of the Union address on Tuesday night. Among the sea of suits in attendance, a group of female congresswomen stood out, wearing white to honor the suffragettes who fought for women’s right to vote 100 years earlier.

Crafty meme-smiths had other things in mind. After Virginia’s Democrat governor Ralph Northam was rumbled for appearing in a photo showing two men posing in Ku Klux Klan robes and a minstrel-style blackface, the internet got to work. A photo depicting the Congresswomen in Klan hoods did the rounds on Twitter, eliciting chuckles from the right and groans from the left.

BuzzFeed intervened, lobbying Twitter to ban the offensive meme. “Twitter is allowing this altered photo comparing women members of Congress who wore white to the State of the Union to the KKK to circulate on its platform despite its own policy that doesn’t allow ‘symbols historically associated with hate groups,’” the news site complained.

The United States is now close completion of concluding the program officially and collected all of the funding from the French government.

"The administration of this claims program was a thorough process to the benefit of those long-denied justice. We applaud the willingness of the French government to address this injustice," lauded the State Department in a released statement. France was released from the special program under the condition that they provide a lump-sum of $60 million to the State Department, paid over two periods, to administer survivors of deportation, surviving spouses of deportees, and representatives of the estates of survivors and surviving spouses who are no longer living.

The agreed sum will go towards claims for the living and deceased Holocaust victims.

Claims awarded to living survivors of deportations toal around $204,000; living spouses of deportees whose spouse died before 1948, receive $51,000 and a proportionally adjusted amount if said spouse died after 1948.

A portion of those funds will also go to the children and relatives of survivors; surviving spouses also receive a fair portion of the claim as well.

Pentagon Looking To Step Up Its Disinformation Warfare

US Department of Defense officials are looking to weaponize disinformation, by looking for new “influencing tools” against “enemy propaganda,” military.com reported.

The Pentagon wishes to expand its capabilities in irregular warfare, which according to Defense officials is a critical tool for defeating near-peer adversaries preemptively.

“As a department, we have often exhibited a historical preference in the past century for traditional high-end force rather than irregular solutions,” Andrew Knaggs, deputy assistant secretary of defense for Special Operations and Combating Terrorism said on February 5th.

“As DoD shifts to meet the demands of great power competition … we are hard at work institutionalizing the substantial expertise in [irregular warfare, or IW] that we have over the last 17 years of irregular conflict.”

The National Defense Strategy requires that irregular warfare become a core competency for the DoD, said Owen West, assistant secretary of defense for Special Operations and Low Intensity Conflict.

West also added that this is a continuation of Former Defense Secretary Jim Mattis’ efforts to end the habit of “standing up and standing down advisory capacity” in past conflicts.

The emphasis on irregular warfare “isn’t just [special operations forces]; this is the entire joint force … sustaining that ability,” West said.

“Our adversaries have weaponized disinformation and propaganda to their advantage,” Knaggs warned. “Rather than hiding from the transparency afforded by the 24-hour news cycle and pervasive social media, our adversaries embrace that cycle and they use it to their advantage.”

He also said that the Pentagon should embrace “the potential of these tools to shape, compel and deter would-be adversaries.”

“We also need to give renewed emphasis to the information environment. Our adversaries have weaponized disinformation and propaganda to their advantage. Rather than hiding from the transparency afforded by the 24-hour news cycle and pervasive social media, our adversaries embrace that cycle and they use it to their advantage,” he added.

Similarly to what the Institute for Statecraft and its pet project the Integrity Initiative do, the approach to messaging must be changed to have better coordination with “civilian agencies and other civilian entities,” as well as new technologies designed to “isolate and identify disinformation.”

“Conventional forces have proven essential in bringing sufficient mass, scale and lethality to the fight in support of most irregular warfare contingencies,” Knaggs said. “As a result, the current joint force is more experience in IW today than it was in past generations.”

In their efforts, the Pentagon may find assistance in the Integrity Initiative, which appears to also be moving across the Atlantic from the UK.

Israel paper: US interfering in polls to help Netanyahu?

An Israeli paper speculates that the administration of US President Donald Trump could be meddling in Israel’s elections to help secure a win for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

In a report on Tuesday, The Jerusalem Post raised the suspicion after Trump shared a photo directly from Netanyahu’s Instagram account, which showed an election poster made by Netanyahu’s ruling Likud party of the two shaking hands and smiling.

The advertisement captioned “Netanyahu: In a different league” prompted similar criticism after first showing up in Tel Aviv.

It has now turned up elsewhere across streets in the Israeli-occupied territories, said Arutz Sheva on its website.

The Jerusalem Post further pointed to the large numbers of likes and comments under Trump’s share, saying this raised “concerns about election interference.”

The network went as far as saying Likud had “recruited” Trump to promote its election chances.

Late last month, it was reported that the party had released a promotional video glorifying the two politicians’ relationship by boasting about Trump’s relocation of the US embassy from Tel Aviv to the holy occupied city of Jerusalem al-Quds last May.

The embassy relocation flew in the face of internationally-recognized Palestinian demands that the occupied city’s eastern part serve as the capital of their future state.

Alabama police will not allow poor drivers to leave the state

If you are too poor to pay a traffic ticket or a fine in Alabama the police will not let you leave the state.

You read that right, the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency will issue poor people "hardship drivers licenses" but you cannot leave.

The mass media is falling all over themselves praising the new law, saying "this rule could help tens of thousands of people, over 20,000 alone had their licenses suspended just for an inability to pay for fines and fees that were assets to them," said Dev Wakeley.

“They will be able to drive to work to school to medical appointments, to civic appointments or civic organization events as well as you know to go out and vote or if they need to do household chores or things of that nature,” says Captain Jon Archer of the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.

Captain Archer confirms that poor people will not be allowed to leave Alabama.

“If you do get a hardship drivers license you can only operate in Alabama. You won’t be able to drive out of state,” says Captain Jon Archer of the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency."

Hardship drivers licenses exist in every state and are mostly used for minors and DUI offenders, they are not used to punish the poor.

An article in Alabama Today claims police have begun accepting applications to restore limited driving privileges to thousands of motorists who simply are too poor to pay their ticket.

According to Senate Bill 55 the police will only give poor people a hardship drivers license if they do not pose a risk to public safety.

"The Alabama State Law Enforcement Agency shall develop and implement a Class D hardship driver license program with specified and limited driving privileges for a person with a suspended or revoked license who can demonstrate to the reasonable satisfaction of the agency that he or she does not pose a risk to public safety."

Now, this was the worst military defeat Americans ever inflicted on the Russian empire, or the USSR, or the Russian Federation. When it comes to Russia in any form, Donald Trump is the American president who did the most damage militarily. General Patton would be proud of President Trump.

How was it possible for Trump to do this if he’s vulnerable to Russian influence?

The goal was to annihilate them, as James Mattis said.

If Trump is vulnerable to Russian influence, then how is it that Trump humiliated Vladimir Putin in a way never before done in the entire history of our country?

A spectator claiming to be “family” of Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman was hauled out of Brooklyn federal court in handcuffs on Thursday after authorities learned he was wanted on multiple warrants, sources said.

Rene Javier Rivera Martinez caused a scene in the eighth-floor courtroom just after 9 a.m. when he tried to sit in the second row of the defense side of the gallery.

“I’m family of the Guzman-Loera’s,” he insisted in Spanish to reporters covering the case.

Rivera claimed to be Italian, telling reporters he knew Chapo because “we have a lot of properties” in Mexico — before changing his tune to say he was just “close with” Chapo’s kin.

US Marshals came to boot Rivera from the row — which is only available to family and requires advance notice in order to sit there. But he refused to get up and scrambled to show them his New York driver’s license.

The Marshals escorted him into the hallway to speak with him, and then gave him a seat in the overflow room.

About two hours later, Rivera was surrounded by seven or eight us Marshals and taken out of the room. He was silent as the officers pushed him up against a wall and handcuffed him.

“He’s got multiple open warrants in Brooklyn,” a law enforcement source said.

There is also an order of deportation against him, sources said.

Chapo lawyer Jeffrey Lichtman distanced the notorious drug lord from Rivera.

“The family disavows him completely. He’s an imposter,” Lichtman said.

Rivera was dressed in a zip-up sweater with chin-length brown hair that was left uncombed on one side.

Green sent a letter to state and federal lawmakers, dated Dec. 26, 2018, asking for medical, law enforcement and sanitation resources.

"Our citizens who live in Hidalgo County near the border, more specifically in Antelope Wells, are not safe any longer," the letter stated. "They encounter up to 30 or more immigrants daily in their own yards."

Green later told the Sun-News that Hidalgo County has only four certified sheriff’s deputies, and a limited budget, and said the county was going to request funding to be able to hire more officers.

Law enforcement agencies arrested over 10 million people in 2017— roughly three percent of the population. Trump momentarily noticed the existence of government coercion last month when he complained about the FBI using “29 people” and “armored vehicles” for the arrest of Roger Stone. But SWAT teams conduct up to 80,000 raids a year, according to the ACLU, mostly for drug arrests or search warrants. Many innocent people have been killed in such raids.

Trump on Tuesday highlighted the case of Alice Johnson, unjustly sentenced to life in prison for a nonviolent drug offense. Trump’s commutation of her sentence is no consolation to the targets of 1.6 million drug arrests in 2017 – and it is not like those individuals showed up voluntarily at police stations asking to be “cuffed-and-stuffed.” More people are arrested for marijuana offenses than for all violent crimes combined, according to FBI statistics.

No coercion? Tell that to the scores of thousands of victims of asset forfeiture laws, which entitle law enforcement to confiscate people’s cash, cars, and other property based on the flimsiest accusation. Federal law-enforcement agencies seized more property via asset forfeiture provisions in 2014 year than all the burglars stole from homeowners and businesses nationwide.

Since 1970, the number of people confined in American prisons has increased by over 500 percent. Almost 10 percent of all American males will end up in prison at some point in their lives, according to an a 1997 Justice Department report. More than 10 percent of black males aged 20 to 34 were behind bars as of 2006, according to the Journal of American History.

I watched OAN's coverage of the SOTU, which seemed to derive from the WH feed (like PBS - pic related). If any other Anons saw this coverage, there were two moments that stuck out. One, where POTUS looked over his right shoulder directly at the camera that was on him (from above right, see pic). Second, after the speech as he was shaking hands and leaving the House chamber, someone handed him what looked like a Fitbit which POTUS palmed and then appeared to handoff to another guy. I'm tryibng to sauce, the last, but the YouTube coverage doesn't include the hand-held cam between the two bald SS agents ahead of POTUS. Maybe worth looking at - looked like that handoff that we saw when POTUS was hugging the moms of the fallen cop in (NY? I forget)

The Federation of Jewish Communities of Spain said in a statement the film was being promoted by organizations promoting the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement against Israel, which he said “seeks to delegitimize Israel and Israelis.” But the group is not aware of any threats.
