Popular with far-right activists including James Goddard of the Yellow Vests in the UK (who used a hashtag involving ‘WWG1WGA’, the conspiracy has also been endorsed by celebrities such as Roseanne Barr.

The book’s description says, ‘The war between Good and Evil is no longer merely symbolic. Evil is being, tried and brought to justice in federal courts and military tribunals today. ‘Criminally corrupt government leaders, celebrities, religious leaders, media figures, and corporate heads will be tried and punished for crimes involving treason, human trafficking, ritual sacrifice and unspeakable perversions.’ Commenters have given the book faintly alarming reviews such as, ‘The time is now. We can no longer be lukewarm. (Reuters) - OxyContin maker Purdue Pharma LP is exploring filing for bankruptcy to address potentially significant liabilities from thousands of lawsuits alleging the drug manufacturer contributed to the deadly opioid crisis sweeping the United States, people familiar with the matter said on Monday.

The deliberations show how Purdue and its wealthy owners, the Sackler family, are under pressure to respond to mounting litigation accusing the pharmaceutical company of misleading doctors and patients about risks associated with prolonged use of its prescription opioids.

Purdue denies the allegations, arguing that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration-approved labels for its opioids carried warnings about the risk of abuse and misuse associated with the drugs.

Filing for Chapter 11 protection would halt the lawsuits and allow the drug maker to negotiate legal claims with plaintiffs under the supervision of a U.S. bankruptcy judge, the sources said.

More than 1,000 lawsuits accusing Purdue and other opioid manufacturers of using deceptive practices to push addictive drugs that led to fatal overdoses are consolidated in an Ohio federal court. Purdue has held discussions to resolve the litigation with plaintiffs' lawyers who have often compared the cases to widespread lawsuits against the tobacco industry that resulted in a $246 billion settlement in 1998.

A Purdue bankruptcy filing is not certain, the sources said. The Stamford, Connecticut, drug maker has not made any final decisions and could instead continue fighting the lawsuits, they said.

When the small Oakland private school received the donation of four Chinese paintings, valued at $2.8 million, administrators were gobsmacked.

The paintings arrived about a year ago, but unable to immediately sell them because of IRS rules, school officials borrowed $400,000 against the imminent windfall to boost staff and build their program. An admissions director was added. So was a web designer, and a Latin teacher.

Then came the shocking news. In February, as school officials readied to sell, they took the art to Bonhams auction house in San Francisco, where Asian art experts evaluated the paintings.

The paintings were fake. Copies. Reproductions of original works by Li Keran, Fu Baoshi, Zhang Daqian and Shi Tao.

And definitely not worth $2.8 million, the experts said. They were basically worthless. Other experts agreed.

The school was just getting by when the paintings arrived. The loans have put it in deep financial trouble, making it unable to cover $270,000 in operating costs through the end of the year.

Tuition is $24,000.

To the anons attempting to quit smoking: I found the best and cheapest method is aversion therapy using a mason jar. I quit after only 13 cigarettes. Had smoked for 25 years. Put abt an inch and 1/2 water in jar, put lid on, smoke all you want, but you must put each out in jar, and smell jar before lighting the next one. The key is that your willpower is not used to stop smoking, it is in used in your need to smell the jar before lighting the next one. US House panel issues 81 document requests in Trump obstruction probe

WASHINGTON, March 4 (Reuters) - A U.S. congressional panel said on Monday that it has served document requests on 81 government agencies, entities and individuals as part of an investigation into alleged obstruction of justice and other abuses by President Donald Trump and others.

Among those targeted by the Democratic-led House Judiciary Committee are the president's sons Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump, WikiLeaks, White House aide and Trump son-in-law Jared Kushner, Trump Organization chief financial officer Allen Weisselberg, former U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions and former White House counsel Don McGahn.

"We have seen the damage done to our democratic institutions in the two years that the Congress refused to conduct responsible oversight. Congress must provide a check on abuses of power," House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler said in a statement.

Among the committee's aims is determining whether Trump may have obstructed justice by ousting perceived enemies at the Justice Department, such as former FBI Director James Comey, and abused his presidential power by possibly offering pardons or tampering with witnesses.

"The House Judiciary Committee's letter has been received by the White House," White House spokeswoman Sarah Sanders said. "The (White House) Counsel's Office and relevant White House officials will review it and respond at the appropriate time."

Justice Department spokeswoman Kerri Kupec said the department has received the committee's letter and is evaluating the request.

Republicans in Congress accuse Democrats of pursuing an impeachment agenda as part of a political strategy to reclaim the White House in the 2020 election.

Comey was leading an investigation into Russia activities in the 2016 U.S. presidential election and possible collusion with Trump's campaign when the president fired him in May 2017.

The investigation was subsequently taken over by Special Counsel Robert Mueller, who is expected to end his investigation and report his findings to Attorney General William Barr in coming weeks.

Nadler said Mueller and prosecutors conducting investigators in the Manhattan U.S. Attorney's Office are aware of the committee's action.

"We will act quickly to gather this information, assess the evidence, and follow the facts where they lead with full transparency with the American people," Nadler said.

Some of those the committee is seeking documents from are among the dozens indicted by Mueller. They include former Trump national security adviser Michael Flynn, former campaign chairman Paul Manafort, former Trump adviser Roger Stone, and former attorney Michael Cohen.

Also on the committee's list are others who worked on Trump's 2016 campaign or in the White House such as Hope Hicks, Steve Bannon, Reince Priebus and Sean Spicer; Rhona Graff, a long-time executive assistant at the Trump Organization; and David Pecker, chief executive of American Media Inc, which publishes the supermarket tabloid the National Enquirer.

Trump maintains that his campaign did not collude with Russia and has repeatedly attacked the investigation, Mueller and the Mueller staff on Twitter.

The committee's investigation will cast a wider net than Mueller, whose investigation is focused on specific crimes. The panel also is looking at whether Trump has used the White House for personal enrichment in violation of the Constitution's emoluments clause.

Several U.S. congressional committees are pursuing investigations focusing on Trump.

Hi Notch. Your game literally changed my life and my son's. He couldn't even read or write when we bought Minecraft for him when he was really young. In game chat taught him how to spell well enough that he went on to win the County spelling bee twice when he was 2 years younger than the closest competitors. Diego d'Aguilar, a Sephardic Jew, owned the tobacco monopoly in

Austria from 1743 to 1748 and Israel Honig established the State Tobacco Monopoly in 1788.

Jewish immigrants were the main workforce in American tobacco processing operations and cigar

makers since the seventeenth century, while Jewish merchants such as the firm of Asher &

Solomon dominated the snuff industry. Jewish companies such as Loeser and Wolf of Berlin

became leaders of the tobacco trade.

Jewish tobacconist Leopold Kronenberg produced 25 percent

of the cigars and cigarettes manufactured in Poland in 1867.

The trade union movement began

when a Jew named Samuel Gompers organized the cigar makers in the 1870s and 1880s.

As tobacco became a major commodity in Europe, Jews played an ever more prominent role in its

cultivation, importation and processing.

By the beginning of the 20th century Jews owned about

40 percent of all the tobacco related businesses in the city of Mannheim, Germany, while in terms

of population Jews made up no more than 4 percent of the city's residents.

Among the more famous names to be found in the tobacco industry is that of Philip Morris, the

son of a Jewish immigrant from Germany who took the name of Bernard Morris after settling in

England in the early 19th century.

The Morris family opened a tobacco shop on Bond Street in

London in 1847 and by 1854 Philip Morris had begun to manufacture his own cigarettes.

Morris died in 1873, his widow Margaret and his brother Leopold carried on the family business

whose name would become known world wide when Philip Morris & Co., Ltd., was incorporated

in New York City in 1902.

Jacob Langsdorf, a Jewish immigrant from Bavaria, Germany, was one of many Jews in 19th

century America who made a fortune in the tobacco trade.

The owner of a tobacco plantation in

antebellum Georgia, Langsdorf later moved to Philadelphia following the Civil War where he

founded a cigar company whose boxes advertised: “the material used in these cigars is prepared

and made strictly on the Havana plan,” suggesting the high regard in which Cuban cigars were

held and the likelihood that the Langsdorfs traveled to Havana to observe cigar

manufacturing.

Langsdorf's cigar manufacturing business was inherited by his five sons and

continued producing cigars well into the 20th century.
