Syria categorically rejects conclusions of OPCW fact-finding mission about using chemical substances in Douma

“The fact-finding mission of the OPCW issued its report about an alleged incident of using toxic chemical substances in Douma on April 7th, 2018… in fact, what attracts attention now is that the authors of the report ignored the statements of witnesses who lived with that incident and described the allegations of using chemical weapons in Douma as a play performed by armed terrorist organizations,” An official spokesman at Foreign and Expatriates Ministry said on Thursday.

He added that the US, France and Britain, due to the failure of their policies in Syria that aimed to undermine its security, stability and territorial integrity, have worked to move their terrorist tools in Syria, mainly, the so-called “the white Helmets” to fabricate allegations of using chemical weapons in Syria.

“Later, they obstructed efforts to conduct investigations by the mission in Douma through launching a direct military aggression on Syria on April 14th, 2018 that destroyed scientific centers which include laboratories for peaceful purposes,” the official spokesman stressed.

Military Situation In Syria On March 7, 2019 (Map Update)

A brief overview of the recent developments in Syria:

Pro-government militias repelled an ISIS infiltration attempt near Taraba;

The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) delivered a rocket strike on positions of the Turkistan Islamic Party in Jisr al-Shughur;

The SAA shelling eliminated a Jaysh al-Izza HQ near Khan Shaykhun killing 7 militants, including a field commander;

Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham cracked down on an ISIS cell and captured an ISIS weapons depot in Atarib in western Aleppo;

The US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces continue their operation against ISIS in the Euphrates Valley. The ISIS resistance has been mostly overcome and terrorists are now surrendering to the US-backed force;

The operation to evacaute civilians from the Rukban refugee camp failed because of resistance from US-backed militants.

US Air Force May Have Employed Stealthy Avenger Drones In Syria: Report

The latest iterations of the Avenger, which are substantially larger than the original prototype, have a cruising speed of around 400 miles per hour, more than twice that of a Reaper, and a maximum flight time of around 20 hours, depending on what payloads it is carrying. In 2016, General Atomics also flew a new variant of the drone, called the Avenger Extended Range (ER), for the first time. The Avenger ER has since demonstrated an ability to remain aloft for longer than 20 hours.

They also have the ability to carry weapons, including laser-guided bombs, in their internal payload bays, as well as additional stores on up to six underwing pylons. The Avenger can accommodate various sensor turrets with electro-optical, infrared, and multi-spectral cameras, as well as laser designators, on a retractable mount. This allows the drone to operate in maximum stealth mode until it reaches the target area.

CHICAGO (CBS) — "Former Ald. Ed Vrdolyak has pleaded guilty to a tax charge tied to a tobacco settlement scheme.

The charge comes from an indictment accusing him of tax evasion tied to money he allegedly collected from a tobacco lawsuit settlement he never actually worked on.

Vrdolyak pleaded guilty to one count of tax evasion, and he faces up to five years in prison. He is to be sentenced in July.

The former alderman, who earned the nickname “Fast Eddie” for his reputation for working backroom political deals while steering clear of criminal charges while he was a four-term alderman from 1971 to 1986, allegedly worked out a deal to collect up to $65 million in legal fees from the tobacco case, although the charges do not specify how much money he actually was paid or how much income tax he failed to pay."

Media Ignores, Mishandles Allegations Of Campaign Finance Violations By Ocasio-Cortez

Media outlets are largely ignoring or mishandling reports that Democratic New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and her chief of staff were controlling a PAC at the same time the PAC was working to get her elected.

The Daily Caller News Foundation reported Monday that Ocasio-Cortez and her chief of staff retained control of the Justice Democrats PAC, which is credited with propelling Ocasio-Cortez to victory, while running to unseat incumbent Democrat Joe Crowley in 2018. Former FEC commissioners told the DCNF that if Ocasio-Cortez’s campaign was operating in affiliation with the PAC, the former bartender could be opened up to “massive reporting violations.”

The report also noted that Ocasio-Cortez and her chief of staff did not disclose their control of Justice Democrats to the FEC. Experts say it could be a felony if Ocasio-Cortez and her chief of staff knowingly and intentionally withheld this information to skirt campaign contribution limits. PACs and campaigns must share a contribution limit when being controlled by the same person or group of persons.

The media has ignored the explosive allegation, instead lumping it in with a complaint to the FEC that Ocasio-Cortez’s chief of staff funneled nearly $1 million from PACs he controlled to private LLCs that he also controlled. That complaint was outlined in a report by the Washington Examiner, but is a separate issue from the allegations laid out by the DCNF.

NBC News fact-checked the FEC complaint by the National Legal and Policy Center, reaching the conclusion that there is “no evidence of wrongdoing.” However, in their fact check, NBC falsely claimed that the DCNF said Ocasio-Cortez and her chief of staff could face jail time over the complaint. A former FEC official who spoke to the DCNF suggested they could face jail time over her legal control over the Justice Democrats PAC, not over the separate allegations made by NLPC.

NBC issued a correction on their fact check after an inquiry from an editor at the DCNF, but still did not accurately characterize the DCNF’s reporting.

JTA — A billionaire Jewish diamond trader has died during a penis enlargement operation.

Ehud Arye Laniado had a heart attack after an unnamed substance was injected into his penis during the procedure Saturday at a private clinic in France, according to reports. Laniado, a Belgian Israeli, was 65.

He owned Omega Diamonds based in Antwerp and Mercury Diamond, a diamond pricing consultancy, and had been in the diamond business for 40 years.

In 2015, Laniado sold the world’s most expensive diamond, called the Blue Moon of Josephine, to Joseph Lau Luen Hung, a Hong Kong businessman and a convicted felon, for $48.4 million.

Omega Diamonds confirmed its owner and founder’s death in a statement.

“Farewell to a visionary businessman,” the statement said. “It is with great sadness that we confirm that our founder Ehud Arye Laniado has passed away. After living an exceptional life Ehud will be brought back home to Israel as his final resting place. He will be dearly missed by us all.”

Laniado was expected to appear in court in Belgium on March 14 to face tax evasion charges.

One hundred eleven miles of new or replacement wall is either being built or is in progress on the southern border after Trump’s first two years in office, an administration official tells The Daily Caller.

All told, the administration has secured funding for approximately 445 miles of the total 722 miles desired by the Trump administration, a Caller analysis finds. The analysis holds only if all national emergency and executive action funding is upheld in court challenges.
