‘Political correctness’ drives global persecution & ‘genocide’ of Christians – UK

Christians are the most persecuted of any religious group and face near-genocidal levels of oppression in some parts of the world, says a report commissioned by the UK Foreign Office.

Prepared by Reverend Philip Mounstephen, the Bishop of Truro and an Anglican missionary, the report estimated that one in three people worldwide experience some form of religious oppression, finding Christians are the most widely targeted group.

For weeks, Rudy Giuliani and Donald Trump, with a strategic assist from The New York Times, have been pushing a “scandal” that involves Joe Biden’s son Hunter and a company connected to Ukraine. Giuliani has been drumming this would-be scandal hard enough that Republicans have started inserting comments about into their statements in Congress. And Giuliani has been so excited about this opportunity to kneecap Biden that he’s been pushing the government of Ukraine to expand its investigation into it and excitedly phoning Trump to pass along his latest discoveries. But as Bloomberg reports, there’s a little thing called time that is screwing up Giuliani’s scandal claims.

For several years, Hunter Biden was on the board of a company called Burisma Holdings. The biggest investor in that company was Ukrainian businessman Mykola Zlochevsky, and at one point Zlochevsky was under investigation by the top Ukrainian prosecutor. In 2016, Joe Biden paid a visit to Ukraine and, along with other demands, complained that the prosecutor was corrupt and needed to go. Those are all facts.

For Giuliani, this is clear evidence that Joe Biden wanted the prosecutor canned so he would stop investigating the meal ticket of Hunter Biden. And for the Times, this was enough to run a story highlighting Joe Biden’s visit to Ukraine and indicating that Hunter Biden “had a stake” in the prosecutor being dismissed.

Only … there’s that’s time thing. Not only did Biden’s pressure concerning the prosecutor not come until after U.S. and Ukraine allies had made the same demand based on broad evidence that the prosecutor was corrupt; Biden didn’t visit Ukraine until a year after that same prosecutor had “shelved” the investigation into Zlochevsky and Burisma. According to Ukrainian officials, there was no investigation to stop and “no pressure from anyone in the U.S.” to close the case. In fact, it now seems very much that the prosecutor was protecting Burisma even though both the U.S. and the U.K. wanted an investigation. Biden was demanding the removal of the one man standing in the way of that investigation.

Biden’s visit had nothing to do with benefiting his son or with personal politics. On the other hand, Trump and Giuliani are explicitly manipulating Ukraine in an effort to practice the politics of self-destruction.

Biden’s demand that Ukraine crack down on corruption or face the possibility of losing U.S. foreign aid came at a point when corruption in the former Soviet state was rampant and when the U.K. was already demanding removal of the same prosecutor. The ouster of the prosecutor was also not something Biden came up with on the spot. In making the demand, Biden was essentially reading a document that had already been drafted by officials at the State Department who had been concerned about the prosecutor for months, explicitly because he was not following up on an investigation into Zlochevsky that had been requested by the U.K.

So the truth is that Biden was asking for the removal of a corrupt official who was not investigating his son, not investigating the company with which his son was connected, and not investigating the man who owned much of that company. If anything, Biden was demanding that the guy who was protecting Burisma be removed. The Bidens, father and son, had nothing to gain from dismissing the prosecutor. Hunter Biden did not have a “stake” in the outcome. These statements from Ukraine are consistent with earlier statements from both Hunter Biden and Joe Biden.

And in fact, the scandal as presented by Giuliani has things exactly backwards. The U.S. threats against the prosecutor were explicitly because he was not assisting the U.K. in an investigation of Zlochevsky. There is no way that the prosecutor’s dismissal could have helped either Biden.

But now Ukraine’s prosecutor general is holding direct meetings with Giuliani to discuss the Burisma investigation. Those meetings were so exciting to Giuliani that he called Trump directly from the prosecutor’s office to let him in on the juicy things he was finding. But despite what it said in the Times article, Bloomberg reports that Ukraine has not opened a new investigation into either Burisma or Zlochevsky.

That they have the whole thing backwards and inside out hasn’t stopped Giuliani from crowing like he found a worm or prevented Trump from calling the Ukraine story “a major scandal, major problem” for Biden.

‘Click-Gap’ Is Facebook’s Latest Tool to Favor Establishment Media

Facebook received a lot of attention for overt censorship last week. But the social network is engaging in covert suppression of independent media too — most recently with its introduction of “Click-Gap,” a way of favoring established websites and suppressing non-established ones.

The Click-Gap system will penalize websites that haven’t established “authority” outside Facebook, where “authority” is measured by the number of clicks they receive from sources outside the platform, such as mainstream media sources.

Here’s how Facebook’s “VP of integrity” and “VP of news integrity” explained it on the company’s official blog:

Click-Gap looks for domains with a disproportionate number of outbound Facebook clicks compared to their place in the web graph. This can be a sign that the domain is succeeding on News Feed in a way that doesn’t reflect the authority they’ve built outside it and is producing low-quality content.

Given how important Facebook has become to the growth of new websites, the system seems designed to promote sites that build up their followings before the rise of the social network. It favors older, established outlets and punishes upstarts. Which, of course, is exactly what the establishment media wants.

It also favors establishment media in another way. One of the largest sources for links and citations of news sources is Wikipedia, the leftist-dominated “online encyclopedia.” But conservative sources including Breitbart News are frequently blacklisted as “unreliable” on the site. In practice, there are essentially no links to Breitbart News throughout the entirety of Wikipedia, based on the actions of its zealous administrators and editors — actions Facebook’s new policy is designed to exploit.

The high number of citations and links to establishment sources on Wikipedia pages – which frequently appear at the top of Google search results – will favor those websites in Facebook’s new algorithm.

Most mainstream coverage takes at face value Secretary of State Pompeo’s contention that U.S. pressure is only meant to make Iran act like a “normal” country. In June of 2016, prior to the current social media purge, Bilderberg elites discussed implementing an Internet ID in Dresden, Germany.

The Bilderberg group has served as a secretive gathering of world elites for decades. Decisions made at the meetings are often implemented by attendees working to establish a world order.

Paul Joseph Watson reported on the 2016 meeting, “According to our source, the creation of a virtual passport that web users will need to obtain before they can use many Internet services is high on the agenda.”

As Infowars reported based on sources within the meeting, the proposed Internet ID would allow Facebook, YouTube and Twitter to “use the online passport to revoke posting permission if a user violates terms of agreement.”

Google and Facebook have the infrastructure and databases necessary to implement this Internet ID system. Facebook is developing a cashless payment system. These companies have our personal data, and a monopoly over the Internet. They have also shown a malicious intent to ban nationalist, Christian and conservative voices from their platforms.

Crime Down 15 Percent Under Salvini Interior Ministry

Following criticism from his coalition partners, the Five Star Movement, that he should focus less on migrants and more on the Mafia, Italian Interior Minister Matteo Salvini revealed that crime has reduced by 15 per cent between 2018 and 2019.

The populist Lega leader, who heads the police as Interior Minister, revealed that according to police statistics, crime had decreased by 15 per cent with murders down by 12.2 per cent and attempted murders down 16.2 per cent, Il Giornale reports.

Other crimes were down as well, come even more drastically such as sexual violence which had seen a 32.1 decrease and robberies which were down 20.9 per cent.

The comments from Salvini came in reaction to a statement by Five Star Leader and co-deputy Prime Minister Luigi Di Maio who said, “Rather than terrifying migrants or visiting walls, the owner of the Interior Ministry should take care of fighting the mafia.”

The statement over visiting walls was likely a swipe at Salvini’s recent trip to Hungary where he once again met with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban to speak about cooperation within the European Parliament and the European Union as a whole.

“I’ve done more committees for order and security in Naples than in all the other Italian cities,” Salvini said and then went on to refer to the notorious Neapolitan Camorra Mafia saying, “It is clear that the Camorra is an ugly beast and it will take time to defeat it.”

Salvini said he was also still committed to the arrests of “mafia, murderers, drug dealers and criminals in general,” but noted that it would require more police officers and that to tackle the issues would require thousands of new uniformed personnel.

While crime is falling overall, the number of crimes committed by migrants has reached such a level where one in three suspects in various criminal cases come from migrant backgrounds.

Monsanto Argues Roundup Cancer Victim Should Receive Less Money Because of Imminent Death

White House orders McGahn to defy House subpoena

The White House has ordered former White House counsel Don McGahn not to turn over documents to Congress because President Trump may exert executive privilege to block their release.

Pat Cipollone, the current top White House lawyer, wrote a letter on Tuesday asking the House Judiciary Committee to go through the White House to request documents related to special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation.

The Pentagon is expected to award its $10 billion JEDI cloud contract to either Amazon or Microsoft sometime later this summer, at the earliest.

U.S. Department of Defense officials have decided this week that the only two cloud vendors able to meet their requirements for a huge, winner-take-all project are Amazon and Microsoft. That decision takes Oracle and IBM out of the running for the $10 billion JEDI contract.

The DoD’s JEDI (Joint Enterprise Defense Infrastructure) contract is designed to upgrade legacy systems with newer cloud services. According to the original proposal, “JEDI Cloud will provide enterprise-level, commercial IaaS (infrastructure as a service) and PaaS (platform as a service) to the Department and any mission partners for all Department business and mission operations.”

Google dropped out of the JEDI bidding last year, acknowledging it couldn’t meet the requirements (and citing its AI principles, as well). Oracle officials had protested the bidding process, claiming bias against a former military employee who also worked at Amazon AWS. Oracle filed a lawsuit over this late last year. In February his year, it looked like the DoD was going to have to postpone the award of the contract as a result of a required review.

Trump pardons ex-soldier convicted of killing Iraqi prisoner

US President Donald Trump has granted a full pardon to a former soldier who was convicted in the 2009 killing of an Iraqi man in American custody.

First Lt Michael Behenna was sentenced to 25 years in prison for the murder of Ali Mansur, a suspected Al Qaeda terrorist shot during questioning.

Mr Trump signed a full pardon of Mr Behenna, who has served five years for unpremeditated murder in a combat zone.
