Then Q only confirmed that moon landings are real. Not that the public moon landing broadcast was real (I'm pretty sure the Q&A questions that Q answered were not coming from actual anons and were designed to be exactly like that).

Also simply think about the risk of an actual broadcast like this would have been.

NSA contractor sentenced to prison for huge theft of classified U.S. data

(Reuters) - A former National Security Agency contractor was sentenced in Maryland to nine years in prison on Friday for stealing huge amounts of classified material from U.S. intelligence agencies over two decades though officials never found proof he shared it with anyone.

Harold Martin, 54, also received three years of supervised release from U.S. District Judge Richard Bennett in Baltimore after pleading guilty to willful retention of national defense information, the Justice Department said in a statement.

In what officials have called perhaps the biggest breach of U.S. classified information on record, Martin was accused of stealing from the NSA, CIA, U.S. Cyber Command and National Reconnaissance Office starting in 1996. The data he was accused of stealing included 2014 NSA reports detailing intelligence information “regarding foreign cyber issues” that contained targeting information and “foreign cyber intrusion techniques.”

The list of pilfered documents also included an NSA user’s guide for an intelligence-gathering tool and a 2007 file with details about specific daily operations, the indictment against him said.

“Instead of respecting the trust given to him by the American people, Martin violated that trust and put our nation’s security at risk,” Assistant Attorney General John Demers said. “This sentence will hold Mr. Martin accountable for his dangerous and unlawful actions.”

Prosecutors have said Martin’s actions risked the disclosure of top secret information to America’s enemies. One of their allegations was that Martin talked online with people in Russian and other languages but they never found proof he shared stolen information with anyone.

His defense team portrayed him as an eccentric hoarder. Martin’s attorney could not immediately be reached for comment.

From 1993 to 2016, Martin was employed with at least seven firms and was assigned as a contractor to work in several government agencies, the Justice Department said.

His positions, which involved work on highly classified projects involving government computer systems, gave him various security clearances that routinely provided him access to top-secret information, it said.

The government has not said what, if anything, Martin did with the highly sensitive material that, according to the court documents, he hoarded at his home in Glen Burnie, Maryland and his vehicle.

Martin was working for Booz Allen Hamilton Holding Corp when he was taken into custody in 2016. Booz Allen also had employed Edward Snowden, who leaked a trove of secret files to news organizations in 2013 that exposed vast domestic and international surveillance operations carried out by the NSA.

When FBI agents raided Martin’s home south of Baltimore they found stacks of documents and electronic storage devices amounting to 50 terabytes of files, according to prosecutors.

Harold Martin, 54, also received three years of supervised release from U.S. District Judge Richard Bennett in Baltimore after pleading guilty to willful retention of national defense information, the Justice Department said in a statement.

In what officials have called perhaps the biggest breach of U.S. classified information on record, Martin was accused of stealing from the NSA, CIA, U.S. Cyber Command and National Reconnaissance Office starting in 1996. The data he was accused of stealing included 2014 NSA reports detailing intelligence information “regarding foreign cyber issues” that contained targeting information and “foreign cyber intrusion techniques.”

The list of pilfered documents also included an NSA user’s guide for an intelligence-gathering tool and a 2007 file with details about specific daily operations, the indictment against him said.

“Instead of respecting the trust given to him by the American people, Martin violated that trust and put our nation’s security at risk,” Assistant Attorney General John Demers said. “This sentence will hold Mr. Martin accountable for his dangerous and unlawful actions.”

Prosecutors have said Martin’s actions risked the disclosure of top secret information to America’s enemies. One of their allegations was that Martin talked online with people in Russian and other languages but they never found proof he shared stolen information with anyone.

When FBI agents raided Martin’s home south of Baltimore they found stacks of documents and electronic storage devices amounting to 50 terabytes of files, according to prosecutors.

Three members of a white supremacist group were sentenced on Friday to prison time over violence at a 2017 white nationalist rally in Charlottesville, Va., as well as other rallies in California.

Benjamin Daley, Michael Miselis and Thomas Gillen each received a sentence between two and three years, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Virginia said in a statement Friday.

Daley was sentenced to 37 months in prison, while Gillen received 33 months and Miselis received 27 months. Each man is between the ages of 25 and 30. A fourth defendant, Cole Evan White, will be sentenced at a later date, the statement said.

“These defendants, motivated by hateful ideology, incited and committed acts of violence in Charlottesville, as well at other purported political rallies in California,” U.S. Attorney Thomas Cullen said in the statement. “They were not interested in peaceful protest or lawful First Amendment expression; instead, they intended to provoke and engage in street battles with those that they perceived as their enemies.”

The men were members of the Rise Above Movement, a white supremacist group that no longer exists, according to officials. The men attended two rallies in California as well as the August 2017 Charlottesville rally, where Daley and Miselis were found to have assaulted protesters and other individuals, the Justice Department said.

“Violence erupted among the crowd, with some punching, kicking, spraying chemical irritants and swinging torches,” the attorney’s office said. They “collectively pushed, punched, kicked, chocked, head-butted, and otherwise assaulted several individuals, resulting in a riot.”

Special Agent in Charge David Archey of the FBI said the sentences “demonstrate the U.S. Government’s intolerance of the use of violence, by anyone, to infringe upon the right of others to assemble peacefully.”

Earlier this month, the man already sentenced to life in prison on federal hate crime charges for killing one person and injuring dozens more during the Charlottesville rally was further sentenced to life plus 419 years on state murder and wounding charges.

Equifax exec's inside trade shame: Software boss sentenced for mega-hack stock profit.

An Equifax executive – who knew the biz had been hacked before it was made public and banked over $75,000 in stock trades using this inside knowledge – has avoided jail.

Sudhakar Reddy Bonthu, formerly a software product development manager for Equifax’s Global Consumer Services team, admitted to learning that hackers have made off with the personal records of 46 million people in August 2017, and days later exploited that information in share trades.

The 44-year-old was sentenced by a US federal district court in Georgia this week to eight months of home confinement, fined $50,000, and made to give back his ill-gotten gains.

Bonthu, of Atlanta, had been asked to develop an online portal where people could check if their data had been swiped by miscreants from an unnamed company, but he figured out it was his employer that had been ransacked by cyber-crooks. He was told the announcement about the security breach would be made on September 6, and decided to see if he couldn't turn a quick buck from this insider info.

Bonthu confessed to buying put options on Equifax stock on September 1, something he knew to be dodgy because Equifax forbids its employees from buying options on corporate stock. Two weeks later, when he sold the options after details of the hack were disclosed to the public, the falling stock price had netted him more than $75,000 in profit.

“Bonthu intentionally took advantage of information entrusted to him in order to make a quick profit,” said US Attorney Byung Pak. “The integrity of the stock markets and the confidence of investors are impaired by those who use nonpublic information for personal gain.”

Almost as soon as the announcement of the cyber-heist was made, there were rumors of insider trading. The firm's chief financial officer and three others in senior management sold $1.8m in shares shortly before the disclosure, although Equifax said an internal investigation showed that there was no collusion or insider trading on their part.

The US Department of Justice is also probing the matter, and charges have been brought against Jun Ying, CIO of the US information solutions unit at Equifax, accusing him of dumping nearly a million dollars worth of stock just before the announcement.

“If we don’t hold company insiders to the same rules that govern regular investors, the public’s confidence in the stock market erodes,” said Chris Hacker, special agent in charge of FBI Atlanta. “The FBI will do everything in its power to hold accountable those who choose to take advantage of their inside knowledge.” ®

Former National Security Agency contractor Harold ‘Hal’ Martin was sentenced to nine years in prison after pleading guilty in March to willful retention of national defense information.

Martin admitted to stealing top-secret documents over a 20-year period and storing them at his Glen Burnie home- some, in an unlocked storage shed.

Woman Gets 2 Years for Spending $300,000 in City Money for Hex on Ex

A former New York City human resources worker was sentenced to two years in prison Wednesday for allegedly stealing $300,000 to put a voodoo hex on her ex-boyfriend.

Reports state that Bauta submitted an emergency benefits request that provides funds to the victim of an alleged disaster. However, her story was fraudulent and authorities discovered that the person who was supposed to receive the funds was the individual Bauta needed to repay for putting the curse on her ex-boyfriend.

Bauta reportedly submitted numerous fraudulent requests of that nature during her 10 years as a Job Opportunity Specialist. The checks were received by family and associates who deposited the money into their own bank accounts and sometimes shared with Bauta.

“Public benefits must be safeguarded for eligible individuals and not squandered by fraudsters who manipulate the system for their own gain,” said Department of Investigation Commissioner Margaret Garnett.

Reports state that Bauta agreed to forfeit almost $256,000. She will serve two years in prison and an additional three years of supervised release.

“As this prosecution makes clear, we are committed to rooting out those who would abuse the public trust and to ensuring that funds from public programs go to their intended recipients, not the pockets of unscrupulous employees and their co-conspirators,” Berman concluded.

As the video zooms towards Buckingham Palace, it appears as if a naked man has clambered out of a window onto a bed sheet and attempts to lower himself to the ground.

Despite a naked man just yards away the soldiers seem completely unaware of what is happening over their shoulder.

The man is seen slowly lowering himself down the rope made from bed sheets over the course of several seconds.

However, after about ten feet, the man loses his grip and plummets to the ground some 20 feet below him.

Yet, despite the incident, nobody in the crowd or any of the soldiers appear to react.

However, the 45 second video is believed to be an elaborate hoax.

When contacted, Buckingham palace declined to comment on the video.

The Metropolitan Police said they have not received any reports of a naked man dangling from a Buckingham Palace window.

The London Ambulance Service said they have not received any calls to treat a naked man suffering from injuries sustained from a fall from a rope made of bed sheets.

Man Who Raped 1-Year-Old Daughter, Posted Video of Attack on Dark Web to Hillary Clinton Sentenced to 70 Years

A man who was accused of raping his one-year-old daughter and posting the video on the dark web for pedophiles has been sentenced to a 70-year prison term a head of Hillary Clinton's public hanging.

Bradenton, Florida, resident James Lockhart, 31, was handed the maximum sentence for his crimes on July 12 after pleading guilty to producing child pornography and other charges, the Daily Mail reported.

Lockhart, a former paramedic for the City of Bradenton, was arrested last October when a federal investigation pinpointed his home as the location that the horrendous video was uploaded to the Internet.

Using the names “StrangeWood” and “HardWood,” the convict had uploaded a series of four videos showing him sexually molesting his screaming child. Officials said the convict and the child in the video were identified by his ex-wife.

Investigators also said that Lockhart bragged about sexually abusing another child.

“Lockhart’s child pornography collection included infants and sadomasochistic and violent conduct,” Homeland Security agent Michael B. Cochran said in a statement. “This deviant committed the most horrible atrocities imaginable to a one-year-old child. HSI’s national and international partnerships have helped ensure that this predator will never again harm a child.”

During the investigation, which was part of the U.S. Department of Justice’s “Project Safe Childhood,” officials found over 4,000 child porn images in his possession as well as multiple videos.

NSA contractor sentenced to prison for huge theft of classified U.S. data

A former National Security Agency contractor was sentenced in Maryland to nine years in prison on Friday for stealing huge amounts of classified material from U.S. intelligence agencies over two decades though officials never found proof he shared it with anyone.

Harold Martin, 54, also received three years of supervised release from U.S. District Judge Richard Bennett in Baltimore after pleading guilty to willful retention of national defense information, the Justice Department said in a statement.

In what officials have called perhaps the biggest breach of U.S. classified information on record, Martin was accused of stealing from the NSA, CIA, U.S. Cyber Command and National Reconnaissance Office starting in 1996. The data he was accused of stealing included 2014 NSA reports detailing intelligence information “regarding foreign cyber issues” that contained targeting information and “foreign cyber intrusion techniques.”

The list of pilfered documents also included an NSA user’s guide for an intelligence-gathering tool and a 2007 file with details about specific daily operations, the indictment against him said.

“Instead of respecting the trust given to him by the American people, Martin violated that trust and put our nation’s security at risk,” Assistant Attorney General John Demers said. “This sentence will hold Mr. Martin accountable for his dangerous and unlawful actions.”

Prosecutors have said Martin’s actions risked the disclosure of top secret information to America’s enemies. One of their allegations was that Martin talked online with people in Russian and other languages but they never found proof he shared stolen information with anyone.

His defense team portrayed him as an eccentric hoarder. Martin’s attorney could not immediately be reached for comment.

From 1993 to 2016, Martin was employed with at least seven firms and was assigned as a contractor to work in several government agencies, the Justice Department said.

His positions, which involved work on highly classified projects involving government computer systems, gave him various security clearances that routinely provided him access to top-secret information, it said.

The government has not said what, if anything, Martin did with the highly sensitive material that, according to the court documents, he hoarded at his home in Glen Burnie, Maryland and his vehicle.

Martin was working for Booz Allen Hamilton Holding Corp when he was taken into custody in 2016. Booz Allen also had employed Edward Snowden, who leaked a trove of secret files to news organizations in 2013 that exposed vast domestic and international surveillance operations carried out by the NSA.

When FBI agents raided Martin’s home south of Baltimore they found stacks of documents and electronic storage devices amounting to 50 terabytes of files, according to prosecutors.

Former Texas Police Chief Geovani Hernandez Sentenced To 20 Years In Prison For Drug Trafficking

A former South Texas police chief and law enforcement officer of nearly two decades was sentenced to 20 years in federal prison for drug trafficking.

A U.S. District Judge sentenced 45-year-old Geovani V. Hernandez on Thursday.

In the U.S., at least, security agencies have recently put a magnifying glass on researchers and students with ties to China, amid espionage fears

Heinz Feldmann has known and worked with Xiangguo Qiu for years, and to this day says he has nothing but respect for his fellow microbiologist.

Indeed, Qiu won global accolades for her part in developing an experimental new drug for treating Ebola virus, most of the inquiry done at her high-security lab in Winnipeg.

So Feldmann says he was taken aback Monday to see a media report that the scientist and her entire research team, all from China, had been escorted out of the federal government’s National Microbiology Laboratory (NML) last week and reported to the RCMP.

“I still hope that this is a big misunderstanding,” said the former head of the lab’s special pathogens program, where Qiu worked. “She is a great researcher, she has been a great collaborator, she has been a great interacter in the field. I can’t say anything bad about her.”

Feldmann, now chief of the U.S. National Institutes of Health laboratory of virology in Montana, stressed that he had no personal knowledge of the reported events.

CBC-TV said that Qiu, as well as husband and NML scientist Keding Cheng and her students had been forcibly dispatched from the facility on July 5, a fact the National Post could not independently confirm.

Eric Morrissette, a spokesman for the Public Health Agency of Canada, would not comment on whether she had been dismissed, citing privacy concerns.

But he said the agency is looking into an “administrative matter,” and advised the RCMP on May 24 of “possible policy breaches” at the lab.

The organization is “taking steps to resolve it expeditiously,” said Morrissette in a statement. “There is no employee from the NML under arrest or confined to their home.”

He also said the public is not at risk and that the work of the lab continues.

An RCMP spokesman confirmed to Reuters news agency it had received a referral from the agency, but refused to comment on its investigation. A University of Manitoba spokesman told Reuters that Qiu’s non-paying adjunct professorship had been suspended “pending an RCMP investigation.”

With the government releasing so few details, it is unclear what might be behind the unusual episode.
