Trump: Russia Sent β€˜Very, Very Large Planeload’ Of Medical Aid To Help U.S. In War On COVID-19

 

Russia and China have sent medical supplies, including equipment to the United States to help it to contain the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, US President Donald Trump announced.

 

β€œChina sent us some stuff, which was terrific. Russia sent us a very, very large planeload of things, medical equipment, which was very niceβ€œ, Trump said during a daily White House briefing on March 31.

 

The President did not provide details on the supplies received from China and Russia.

 

During the briefing, Trump also added that restrictions to contain the outbreak in the US could be toughened, However, Trump said he was not planning to impose a nationwide quarantine.

 

As of March 31, the United States has the largest number of confirmed COVID-19 cases around the globe – 162,345. 3,122 of the infected people died. 539 of these deaths happend during the past 24 hours.

The budget information sent for federal FY appropriations do not include all employee or other costs for the Center The Center website indicates that "Any federal appropriations we receive can only be used for the maintenance and operation of the building. This means each year we must raise more than $80 million to support the performances, programming, and educational opportunities that bring the arts to millions of people here in DC and around the world. It is only because of supporters like you that the Kennedy Center is able to provide the educational resources, digital content, and performances that make the arts come alive!"

So basically, the $25M from the CV bill is to replace 31% of the Center's annual non-government revenue. But that 31% would cover all costs, including employee compensation. So, the recorded explanations really don't explain why staff "furloughs" are necessary now even though the Center is receiving an extra $25M. Especially since is very possible that the Center will not be closed for 31% of the year. So the $25M may in the end provide a small bonanza for the Center. The recorded explanation of Richard E. "Like everyone else, transgender people need accurate identity documents to navigate everyday life, and this gratuitous attack puts them back in harm’s way for harassment and even violence. Lambda Legal filed the original lawsuit in 2017. The lawsuit argued that denying transgender Idahoans the ability to obtain accurate birth certificates discriminates against them and invades their privacy, liberty, and freedom from compelled speech under the U.S. Constitution. For example, after one plaintiff, who is a transgender woman, displayed her birth certificate at a social security office, she was subjected to verbal harassment for being transgender. In March, 2018, the U.S. District Court for the District of Idaho ruled that the birth certificate policy unconstitutionally discriminated against transgender people, and it issued a permanent injunction against state officials.

 

According to the 2015 U.S. Transgender Survey, almost one-third of transgender individuals who showed an identity document with a name or gender marker that conflicted with their perceived gender were harassed, denied benefits or services, discriminated against, or assaulted. Transgender individuals also are disproportionately targeted for hate crimes. Forty-seven states currently provide a process for transgender people to change the gender marker on their birth certificates.

5 months ago if you went to the doctor with a cold, you would be sent home with instructions on managing a cold. Today if you go to a doc, you will be tested with a good chance of being told you are positive for cv. because a lot of colds come from non-novel forms of cv. Who knows what treatment you will receive. Most current tests don't distinguish between common, non-serious cv and Covid 19, the really serious one. So the data on number of cv cases is not very meaningful. Someday the tests will be able to make the distinction and we can be told we have a cold again.

A good friend (and Trump supporter) is a PA at a hospital down by the shore. He's telling me the ICU is full tonight and its getting crazy there.

 

Another friend's daughter who is a nurse in New Haven area. They are overwhelmed with cases and a lot of the staff are just out of school and never dealt with a patient dying on them. She lost an elderly woman earlier today as a lot of the cases are from homes. The others are homeless, which if you;ve ever been to the NH Green near Yale, they are everywhere.

 

Lastly, I have a friend who is a nurse in an elderly home inthe Dallas/FW area, texting me that they've got their hand full there.

 

I absolutely agree that the media is over hyping the status but it isn't ALL false. There are real places were an influx of people suffering form the virus is occurring.

I read that whole thread. I noticed a lot of medical people urging us to simply trust the profession. This "appeal to authority" was pretty brazen.

I lived with a brain surgeon and his triage nurse wife (& kids) for a few months. They actually met on a hospital ship while both were in the Navy and were married in kimonos in Japan. (If they are reading this, thanks for letting me live in your second floor sun room while I got my feet back under me! I'm in central NC now if you ever want to look me up.) I got to know them fairly well and would be willing to say that I trust those two individuals to, at the very least, make a conscientious effort to do their very best to assist in any medical emergency they came across. As he specializes in closed head brain injuries, I'd expect that that "best effort" would be very good, indeed.

But the entire discipline? Un-uh … three thousand deliberate innocent deaths a day is not my standard for a trustworthy. profession. And that's what happens in the slaughterhouses of Planned Parenthood.
