Yep. If you don't eat alot of legumes and beans in your diet, it takes some getting used to. Cooking with dried beans also takes some practice to get right.

SpouseAnon is a huge meat eater and would be happy on solely the carnivore diet but when we were first married our budget didnt allow that, so I had to get creative.

Now dried beans and legumes are a big part of our long term storage preps, have been for years, and the family now has some favs, like cassoulet with duck breast and bacon. Cuban black beans and rice with leftover cuban pork is a crowd fav too.

The time to start is now, before it's no longer an optional learning exercise. Making sure that your family has adequate protein every day is important.

We won't be eating soy or tvp, I'm allergic to soy and soy mimics estrogen so I won't be feeding it to the males in my house either.

The most recent execution was that of Abdulmohsin Humood Abdullah al-Ghamdi, who was beheaded yesterday for murder, a report by Reprieve said.

"Saudi Arabia has doubled its use of the death penalty since King Salman bin Abdulaziz came to power five years ago, according to human rights organisation, Reprieve.

At least 800 people have been executed in the kingdom since Salman ascended the throne in January 23, 2015, following the death of King Abdullah, Daily Mail UK, reports.

The most recent execution was that of Abdulmohsin Humood Abdullah al-Ghamdi, who was beheaded on Tuesday for murder, a report by Reprieve said.

From 2009-14, there were 423 executions in Saudi Arabia – that figure has doubled in just over five years under King Salman.

In 2019, Saudi Arabia executed 186 people, 37 of whom were killed in one mass execution on April 23.

Six of them were men who were juveniles at the time of their alleged offenses.

Two of those killed were teenagers Abdulkareem al-Hawaj and Mujtaba al-Sweikat, who were just 16 and 17 at the time of their arrests. "

During the Q&A after yesterday's presser, POTUS was asked about the food supply. The MSM is trying to gin up fear over the food supply and create panic. POTUS responded the food supply is fine. One way to tamp down panic and fear is to feel prepared for contingencies. It is a confidence booster, and helps you help others in your community/circle.

One year we had purchased a 1/4 beef and 1/2 hog and had (fortunately) a short power outage. I realized how much money we would lose if we had lost our huge chest freezer full of meat, which had consumed a huge part of our budget. This created a level of fear, panic and uncertainty. One way I dealt with that was to learn how to pressure can meat at home. I had already pressure canned vegetables and fruits from our garden, and had been hot water bath canning as well, but had always been too afraid/intimidated to try pressure canning meat.

It takes some trial and error, so I wanted to "learn" before it became a necessary skill. I'm now a "meat pressure canning expert". Our pantry is stocked with pressure canned pork, beef, chicken etc. I can in jars of various sizes. Individual size, for two and for four. Pressured canned meatloaf turns out amazing!

The Lancer flew 30 hours round-trip from Ellsworth Air Force Base, S.D., to Misawa Air Base, meeting up with seven Japan Air Self-Defense Force F-2s and eight F-15s, the Air Force said in a news release Wednesday.

That group was joined by six Misawa-based F-16 Fighting Falcons.

The aircraft crews trained over Draughon Range near Misawa as part of a U.S. Indo-Pacific Command and U.S. Strategic Command joint bomber task force, the release said.

Last week, five B-52H bombers flew from Guam to their home station in Minot Air Force Base, N.D., ending the Air Force’s six-month rotations of bombers through the island that had been taking place since 2004."

Purpose

Receiving influenza vaccination may increase the risk of other respiratory viruses, a phenomenon known as virus interference. Test-negative study designs are often utilized to calculate influenza vaccine effectiveness. The virus interference phenomenon goes against the basic assumption of the test-negative vaccine effectiveness study that vaccination does not change the risk of infection with other respiratory illness, thus potentially biasing vaccine effectiveness results in the positive direction. This study aimed to investigate virus interference by comparing respiratory virus status among Department of Defense personnel based on their influenza vaccination status. Furthermore, individual respiratory viruses and their association with influenza vaccination were examined.

Results

We compared vaccination status of 2880 people with non-influenza respiratory viruses to 3240 people with pan-negative results. Comparing vaccinated to non-vaccinated patients, the adjusted odds ratio for non-flu viruses was 0.97 (95% confidence interval (CI): 0.86, 1.09; p = 0.60). Additionally, the vaccination status of 3349 cases of influenza were compared to three different control groups: all controls (N = 6120), non-influenza positive controls (N = 2880), and pan-negative controls (N = 3240). The adjusted ORs for the comparisons among the three control groups did not vary much (range: 0.46–0.51).

Conclusions

Receipt of influenza vaccination was not associated with virus interference among our population. Examining virus interference by specific respiratory viruses showed mixed results. Vaccine derived virus interference was significantly associated with coronavirus and human metapneumovirus; however, significant protection with vaccination was associated not only with most influenza viruses, but also parainfluenza, RSV, and non-influenza virus coinfections.

The average age of patients in Italy who have died of COVID-19 infection is 81, most of whom already had other underlying medical conditions.

A whopping 70% of seniors in the U.S. get their annual flu shots, much higher than the general population, and many of them are receiving ‘high dose’ versions of the vaccine.

According to the manufacturers’ package inserts that come with these vaccines, one of the known and not-so-uncommon side effects of these vaccines is stroke in the elderly.

And now we find out that these heavily-promoted seasonal flu shots are making everyone, including the vulnerable elderly, significantly more susceptible to potentially fatal coronavirus lung infections.

Despite these facts, we can expect that during this coronavirus ‘event’, the CDC will promote seasonal flu shots with even greater urgency.

And despite researchers knowing that two common and inexpensive medications can ‘cure’ coronavirus infections, the CDC and hospitals seem to be acting as if these drugs don’t exist, opting to let these COVID-19 patients die while waiting for another ineffective experimental vaccine to hit the market.

The elderly are the greatest expense to the Federal health care budget, so what better way to cut costs than to cull the herd under the fog of this overblown ‘pandemic’?

His condition was worsening before he was flown to the United States in an air ambulance, but before he left, one of his former patients, a 14-year-old Ebola survivor, gave him "a unit of blood" for a transfusion, according to Samaritan's Purse.

Since his recovery and release from Emory University Hospital on Aug. 21, Brantly has donated his plasma to Samaritan's Purse colleague Dr. Rick Sacra and freelance cameraman Ashoka Mukpo, both of whom were receiving treatment for Ebola at Nebraska Medical Center. They received his plasma transfusions on or around Sept. 11 and Oct. 8, respectively – about 27 days apart. The latest American Ebola patient, Dallas nurse Nina Pham, who contracted the virus while treating Thomas Eric Duncan, received a blood donation of some kind from Brantly, according to health officials.

Plasma is a component of blood that contains virus-fighting proteins called antibodies. When someone donates plasma, their blood is drawn into a machine that separates out the plasma and returns the red blood cells to the donor.

"There is a strong theoretical possibility that this could help, particularly if this is given early," said Dr. William Schaffner, chair of preventive medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee.

Here's how it works: When confronted with a virus, the immune system creates antibodies to specifically target that virus, kill it and keep it from coming back, he said. Once a person has antibodies, they stay in their blood for life. If the Ebola antibodies found in an Ebola survivor's blood can be imported into struggling Ebola patient's body, those antibodies can theoretically help the patient's immune system fight off the deadly virus.

"What those antibodies do is bind to the virus," Schaffner said. "They find the virus and bind to it and prevent it from multiplying further."

"Wuhan, China (CNN)It was just three months ago that Mr Wang was paying the workers at his Wuhan restaurant their Chinese New Year bonuses and celebrating his third year in business.

Now, after 76 days under lockdown in the epicenter of the coronavirus outbreak, he has been left mentally and financially drained, with his business facing ruin.

The lockdown on Wuhan was lifted on April 8. But two weeks later Wang's restaurant is still not allowed to fully reopen, due to restrictions on eat-in dining.

Despite having no business, he's still had to pay three months rent – worth almost $8,500 (60,000 yuan). With fears rising of a second wave of infections which could cause even more financial pain across China, Wang said he has no choice but to close shop.

"In Wuhan, there are many people like us who can no longer go back to what they were doing before the outbreak," he said. Wang asked us to only use his first name over concerns about the consequences of talking to foreign media."

She was involved with a whole host of individuals including Lee Harvey Oswald, Judyth Vary Baker and surgeon, Alton Ochsner who, although lauded by the American establishment as a pioneer in fighting cancer, appears from following events within this book to have been an extreme right psychopath driving efforts towards creating a bio weapon. The only time we wear sunscreen is when we’re going to be outside in a sunny day for a long period of time with no way of seeking shade (so it’s rare). We don’t lay out and bake ourselves. It used to be prescribed in child rearing years ago— my mom would let me nap in the sun for a short while each day as a baby.

I used to live in SF and the Chinese women were so the opposite- sunscreen, hats, covered and even had umbrellas. I always wondered how that worked for them, but they eat a lot of fish.

We helped our local CSA farmer one season when he couldn't find enough help to get him through the peak seasons.
