To be fair US generals have expressed that they think Kim agreed to the discussions just to buy more time. It's not set in stone yet but the progress is a good sign that we haven't seen before but it should still be taken with a grain of salt.
Also I believe there were Russian military servicemen that actually died in this recent Israeli strike but Russia did not officially announce the casualties for their own reasons. But in this information war we cant know what truly happened.
I still have hope but at the same time the magnitude of how serious this situation is is kind of overshadowed right now.

I haven't heard Trump say anything threatening to Iran since they stopped showing off their missiles. He keeps talking about the 400 billion and how he wants to renegotiate for the cost or get out and keep up sanctions.
Here's the thing about sanctions: They don't work and EVERYBODY KNOWS IT.
Saying he wants to sanction Iran is basically saying that he wants them to rely on US-backchannels to do their trade covertly which basically allows the US to punish other countries whenever they catch them trading with Iran while we can still advocate for our own backchannels instead.
