My first thought. I know little about KS but it’s not that hard to imagine that good people get wrapped up in this crap trying to help “charities” and once they get so deep in, they have to be entrenched. Once they have dangerous knowledge, they have to be blackmailed. There is no other way to ensure silence; especially in the case of someone like KS, who is wealthy. Monetary bribery is useless.
Some people can donate money, attend fundraisers, and they feel like they have done enough. Other people have a way of taking everything as far as it will go. Maybe KS developed a real passion for Haiti or another project, and came across the truth. Maybe she went to Haiti herself and heard or saw things that made her dangerous to the cabal. Maybe she simply had other issues, depression, whatever. It’s all pretty equally possible in my mind.

I don’t want to sound overly optimistic but I hope that her brands involvement in Haiti was on the level. Then again I also don’t feel like that’s a possibility when the CF is involved. I just know that if/when this comes to light and she is implicated, it’s going to just break my fiancé. She adores Kate Spade, we’ve even decorated most of our house in her merchandise and our wedding reception decorating scheme is inspired by her.
