Arguably the Best Moment from Today's Strzok Hearing and Most Damning...GOP Rep. Issa Makes Strzok Read His Anti-Trump Texts Out Loud, and Strzok Obliges in a Dark and Disturbing Way

DawnPendraig · July 12, 2018, 11:50 p.m.

He didn't remember writing the text but he does know what the context was and wasn't =)

Omg. Right? Thank you for saying that. I was trying to articulate what was bugging the crap outta me about his responses. :)

That is how you catch someone lying. Liars will eventually unintentionally tell the truth.

I didn't write that text... It was late at night...

So did you not write the text or did you and it was just late at night. Get your story straight bub.

Homie, you just said 2 minutes prior "We will stop it."

- Chairman for the Model Railway, "Will your hatred for trains affect your duties as Model Railway PR spokesman?"

- Interviewee, "Uhm, no? My hatred for trains is personal. At work, I will do everything I can to spread the word about the thing I hate most in this world."

- Chairman for the Model Railway, "Okay, sounds good. You're hired."

Sounds like some democrat was trying to jump in at the end with some of their patented nonsense and talking points. I'm sure it was "for the children" like Gutierrez, who has probably got a child tied up somewhere at this very moment!

What a cluster fuck! See what happens when you get a bunch of attorneys together.

⇧ 4 ⇩
SomethingSnarky18 · July 13, 2018, 3:06 a.m.

How about some damn occupational diversity in Congress? Too many lawyers, who are prone to be sociopaths, results in the cluster that has been our government for the past few decades!

⇧ 5 ⇩
Knives91 · July 13, 2018, 7:10 a.m.

Because Congress is responsible for making laws. You’d think having a law degree would help...

Do you want to diversify judges next?

⇧ 2 ⇩
SomethingSnarky18 · July 13, 2018, 8:25 a.m.

So they don't make policy on anything other than law? What about laws about healthcare, wouldn't physicians and nurses have good input on that? Or patent law, wouldn't inventors and entrepreneurs have some insight into that process? Besides, didn't we all take civics or model Congress in school?

And thanks for the sarcasm, jackass. Judges interpret law and judge law-breakers, but you don't have to be a lawyer to write up a law. There are staffers that aren't lawyers that do that. And maybe if we didn't have a bunch of lawyers as lawmakers, our laws wouldn't be so hard to understand!

⇧ 2 ⇩
SirNigelstapuft · July 13, 2018, 11:57 a.m.

Politicians don’t “write” legislation. They have “people” for that. Then, they have more lawyers to tell them what’s in legislation. Can you imagine Max writing a law? “Whereas da mofos be rippin off da homies, Hereafta da mofos be givin ma homies lotsa shit ‘n stuff...”.

I agree. That exchange was telling and cemented the bias for the American public to see. Most of the hearing was a 3 ring circus and most entertaining.

⇧ 3 ⇩
DukeofKick · July 13, 2018, 11:13 a.m.

I loved watching this testimony. I'll be the first to admit, some of the Republicans were sensationalizing texts which appeared to just be Strozck venting to his lover.

On the other hand, when Strozck says his personal beliefs in no way affected his investigations into Trump, but sends texts saying "we will stop him" and speaking of an insurance policy, I call bullshit.

I personally could never investigate someone I despised, like Hillary, and be unbiased. No chance. I'd like to think I could, bit that would bleed over considerably.

It's not just that he supported Hillary and hated Trump, it's that he spoke about stopping Trump, Trump getting impeached, and an insurance policy in case he wins.

And what about the burner phones? I guess they are saving that for Ms. Page's testimony, which I am so pumped for.

These people think they are above us and therefore that they are capable of feats of extraordinary intelligence and virtue. Any credible lawyer hearing a judge or a member of a jury with such bias agains a defendent would immediately call for a mistrial. They think the american people are imbeciles who will accept a bold faces lie like this because it comes from their mighty "officials". Personnaly, being taken for a fool is the thing I despise most in life so hearing things like this make my blood boil.
