Oregon fire marshal Jim Walker put on leave amid historic wildfires

Oregon’s fire marshal has been put on leave amid an unprecedented spate of wildfires that are burning throughout the state.

The Oregon State Police on Saturday announced Fire Marshal Jim Walker had been put on paid administrative leave. The state police did not detail why Walker was put on leave, but agency Superintendent Travis Hampton said a leadership change was needed.

Mariana Ruiz-Temple, Chief Deputy State Fire Marshal, has been appointed the acting fire marshal.

"Mariana is assuming this position as Oregon is in an unprecedented crisis which demands an urgent response,” Hampton, state police superintendent, said in a statement.

“This response and the circumstances necessitated a leadership change. I have the absolute confidence in Mariana to lead OSFM operations through this critical time. She it tested, trusted and respected – having the rare combination of technical aptitude in field operations and administration."

The fire marshal’s office is tasked with protecting people, property and the environment from fire and other hazards. Walker has served as fire marshal since 2014.

Wildfires have scorched more than 1 million acres throughout the state, spanning from the southern border to the coast and Clackamas County. That figure is about twice the yearly average over the past 10 years.

Seven people have been confirmed dead, dozens more are unaccounted for and hundreds have lost their homes.

Well, someone brought this up earlier, so I figured I'd give you guys a brief but somewhat vague rundown:

Many of you have been lead to believe that what we call "Occult" is inherently negative, some would say "Evil" (we can thank the Jesuits and other secret orders of faggots for that one). In reality, what's hidden is neither "Good" nor "Bad". In fact, once you zoom out far enough, terms like "Good" and "Evil" become extremely nuanced. Make no mistake, I certainly observe that plenty of things are objectively harmful to all of us as a whole, so I'm not going to pretend we can't identify things that are either "Good" or "Bad". With that in mind, I'd like for you all to take a closer look.

It should occur to those of you out there willing to challenge your beliefs that there is more around us than just a physical plane. Along with this comes the knowledge that one can interact with this less-than-physical (more, maybe…) plane. Many call it the ether, Astral, or plenty of other names. This realm is a realm constituted by ideas, feelings or intention. There are many and varying ways in which one can interact with this realm. The most notable of which through what plenty of you would call "prayer". At risk of seeming insensitive to your beliefs, I must admit that my perspective has graduated past the Jesuit framework long ago. You will all soon realize that The Church has long been infiltrated and that being a Christian is one's own spiritual journey and that many out there are attempting to either stifle or confuse your journey for their own benefit. See, this is important to explain because Q still maintains this framework. For that, I cannot fault them. We must use a language we can universally understand and I fully recognize that. Now that that's out of the way, we must examine further which other areas one can affect the Astral realm: mere intent matters, dreams fall in to this category at length, your sexual energies and other powerful emotions like Fear or Love - all of these have affects upon the non-physical realm.

The truth of things is that each and every one of us, should we progress through certain prerequisites, can progress to the point that we can have a widened effect upon the non-physical plane. Yes, you can, after some preparation, have lasting and noticeable impacts upon the physical world around you via this interacting with this realm. For instance, when Q asks us to pray, what he's really saying, as it goes along with this explanation of things, is that we must learn to shape the future by reaching spiritual consensus. Divided or secluded, these powers are dim (in the beginning at least). Collectively, these powers expand rapidly such that their potency becomes palpable. You must understand, if a sizable portion of humanity awakens each day and visualizes what a new Golden Age looks like, free of corruption, strife, decay and war, such a scenario will inevitably follow shortly.

To put things plainly, we are kept in this prison of Fear, Uncertainty and Doubt by stress of all sorts of vectors. I'm sure I don't need to give examples. In order to cure this ailment, we must cultivate and spread Love, Certainty and Faith.

Anons, please take note of this post: your thoughts and intentions have a genuine impact upon the physical world around you. You've been mislead in order to scrub the understanding that everything, all of this experience, around you is an intertwined, living, breathing ecosystem from your mind.

You must learn to correct the negative thoughts that find you.

You must embrace your barometer of Truth.

You must release the Light that's been hidden within you for these very days.

The US president was having “doubts about Netanyahu and wondering aloud if the Israeli prime minister might be the real problem,” according to Woodward. “Trump had even earlier said to Netanyahu on a Washington visit that he believed he was the obstacle to peace, not Abbas.”

Then, when Trump came to Israel in May 2017, Netanyahu presented him with a video of Abbas in which “it sounded like Abbas was ordering the murder of children.”

Liberal advocacy groups closely aligned with Sen. Chuck Schumer (D., N.Y.) and Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D., Calif.) have pushed more than $12 million in dark money contributions into the 2020 elections, filings show.

Majority Forward, a nonprofit with ties to Schumer's Senate Majority PAC, has pushed $10.6 million in direct contributions into the election, while House Majority Forward, a nonprofit that is linked to Pelosi's House Majority PAC, has poured $1.6 million into 2020 efforts. Majority Forward, created in 2015, has been the biggest liberal dark money spender in recent years. Lawsuit reveals new evidence supporting 9/11 whistleblower who alleged intel failures

Inspector general "manipulated data and methodology" to discredit colonel who alleged intelligence failings.

An affidavit filed as part of a lawsuit brought by a 9/11 whistleblower has revealed sworn testimony by a former Department of Defense official claiming that the whistleblower, a former military intelligence officer, was deliberately sabotaged by a Pentagon review process.

Retired U.S. Army Col. Anthony Shaffer is suing his former attorney, Mark Zaid, in Washington, D.C.'s District Court over Zaid's alleged failure to "zealously represent" Shaffer in his fight against the government over what Shaffer claims was whistleblower retaliation.

Shaffer is known for his participation in the U.S. Special Operations Command Operation Able Danger, a program meant to counteract global terrorism.

The retired colonel told the 9/11 Commission in 2004 that Able Danger had, prior to the September 11 attacks, identified two of the three al-Qaeda cells that had planned the attack, including one to which Mohamed Atta, one of the attack's chief architects, belonged. Shaffer has alleged that the government subsequently destroyed evidence of its having been aware of Atta's identity prior to the attacks.

Shaffer claims that, following his testimony to the commission, he was retaliated against by his superiors in the Defense Intelligence Agency, which suspended and eventually revoked his security clearance.

According to Shaffer's lawsuit, Mark Zaid committed "legal malpractice" by failing to appropriately represent his client amid the alleged retaliation from government officials.

Zaid, founder of the nonprofit law firm Whistleblower Aid, represented the U.S. intelligence community source who triggered the impeachment investigation of President Trump when he claimed whistleblower protection to anonymously divulge details of a classified phone call between Trump and the president of Ukraine.

Zaid did not respond Friday to a request for comment on the suit's allegations.

Two Explosions Rocked Turkish-Occupied Ras Al-Ain In Northeastern Syria

On September 12 morning, two explosions rocked the Turkish-occupied town of Ras al-Ain in Syria’s northeastern region.

The first explosion took place in the Haj Wassfi alley in the town’s center, where many shops are located. The explosion was reportedly caused by an improvised explosive device. Three women and a man, all civilians, were killed in the blast, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.

Facebook is under fire this week after it was discovered that the company has allowed Rose City Antifa, a violent group associated with riots for many years, to maintain a Facebook page despite the company’s controversial program to take down certain sites. As will come as no surprise to many on this blog, I would not have the page taken down on free speech grounds. My greatest fear is not Antifa (which I have criticized for years) but the growing censorship of the Internet. RCA is arguably the oldest Antifa group in the United States and was founded in Portland. In 2013, various groups that were part of The Anti-Racist Action Network (ARA), including RCA, formed a new coordinating organization referred to as the “Torch Network.” This lack of structure not only appealed to the anarchist elements in the movement but served the practical benefit of evading law enforcement and lawsuits. The erosion of free speech on social media and the Internet includes calls from leading Democratic leaders for years to implement private censorship of political speech, a view supported by academics who have declared that “China was right” about censorship. Recently, Democratic Nominee Joe Biden pushed for censoring statements by Trump and others opposing mail-in voting.

My views of free speech are well known. RCA is an extremist group but it also engages in protected speech. We need to criminally address its conduct, not its speech. It is the difference between advocating violence and acting violently. If the site is actively arranging attacks or directing riotings, it is more than just speech. It generally does not do that. It calls for counter demonstrations on such sites but leaves the violent elements to local members. Once you start censoring such sites for the actions of some members, it puts the Internet on a slippery slope of speech regulation. Many organizations, including Black Lives Matter, have had violent followers but there are still important parts of a non-violent debate over issues like racial justice.

However, there is another reason why these pages should not be censored. It is far better to have such groups operating openly where they can be monitored. We saw in Germany that suppressing neo-Nazi groups just forced them underground while doing little to deter their expansion. It is better for law enforcement and others to have these groups more visible. On Facebook, these groups can be challenged and their extreme views exposed. When forced underground, the groups claim that they are victims of “fascists” and their hateful views grow unimpeded in radical echo-chambers.

Antifa is arguably the most successful anti-free speech movement in modern history. It has the direct or indirect support of some academics and many students. Indeed, the recent controversy over statements made by a Connecticut professor and a Rhode Island professor on the killing of a conservative counter protester reflects how such views are become more common. Some of these individuals oppose the free speech protections that we afforded them, at least when extended to those with opposing views. However, they are the price of true free speech.

Newsom Signs Bill to Amend Sex Offender Law Reducing Penalties For Sex with ‘Willing’ Same-Sex Minors

California Governor Gavin Newsom (D) on Friday night signed a bill that would allow judges to decide whether to list a man as a sex offender for having oral or anal sex with a same-sex minor.

The bill lowers the penalties for adults who have sex with ‘willing’ same-sex minors. A Judge could decide if the adult has to register as sex offender if the offender is within 10 years of age of the victim

The bill does not apply to minors under the age of 14.

SB 145 was introduced by state senator Scott Wiener and passed the California legislature last week.

Since 1944, judges decided whether a man had to register as a sex offender if he had sex with a female minor 14 years of age or older when the age difference is not more than 10 years, so Wiener argued that since the law didn’t apply to young boys, the LBGTQ community was being ‘discriminated against.’

The law ends discrimination “by treating LGBTQ young people the exact same way that straight young people have been treated since 1944,” Wiener said in a statement last week, adding: “Today, California took yet another step toward an equitable society.”

Patriot Prayer’s Joey Gibson Sues Multnomah County District Attorney in Federal Court

Joey Gibson, the leader of the conservative Patriot Prayer group, sued Multnomah County District Attorney Mike Schmidt on Friday, alleging unequal treatment under Schmidt’s recent policy change.

Gibson was one of six people charged with inciting a riot on May 1, 2019, after his group and people linked to the far-left Antifa group clashed. Video footage showed him pushing a woman who was with Antifa, police said in an affidavit (pdf). He has pleaded not guilty.

Schmidt, who entered office last month, announced shortly thereafter that prosecutors working under him would likely not pursue some charges against people arrested during the ongoing unrest in Portland.

The charges cited included riot.

Gibson’s lawyers are arguing that their client should have his charge dropped in light of the policy change.

The lawsuit accuses prosecutors of going after the Patriot Prayer leader and another man, Russell Schultz, for protesting against Antifa and the local government’s alleged failure “to hold Antifa accountable for criminal conduct.”

“While Defendants willingly allow a group known as Antifa to engage in mass criminal conduct to the detriment of the City of Portland, and intimidate the public and public officials, Defendants continue to prosecute Plaintiffs for violation of the riot statue” despite there being no evidence of a violation, the lawsuit states.

Additionally, prosecutors “have enacted a formal policy of presumptive dismissal of riot charges arising out of protest activity but have selectively refused to apply that formal written policy to Plaintiff’s charges,” which amounts to “selective prosecution,” Gibson’s lawyers added.

A spokesman for the district attorney’s office told The Epoch Times via email Saturday that the office does not comment on pending litigation.

The case against Gibson remains pending before the court, the spokesman said.

Gibson directed supporters to a page on one of his lawyer’s websites asking for donations for his legal defense. The page says Gibson is in danger of having to face “an extraordinarily-hostile Portland jury despite a clear statement that his personal conduct was in complete conformity with the First Amendment, and there was only ‘scant’ evidence that he authorized, directed or ratified any unlawful or tortious acts.”

Oregon initially said 500,000 people had been evacuated because of wildfires. The numbers didn’t add up – and the state backtracked.

The number of Oregonians told to evacuate because of unprecedented wildfires is more than 40,000 – not the 500,000 residents initially and erroneously announced by Oregon’s Office of Emergency Management, Gov. Kate Brown acknowledged Friday following publication of an analysis by The Oregonian/OregonLive showing the true number of evacuations to be far lower.

The state in a news release Thursday night said an “estimated 500,000 Oregonians have been evacuated and that number continues to grow.”

That would be an astounding number, exceeding 10% of the state’s 4.2 million population. It’s so large, in fact, that it would be the equivalent of every single person living in Gresham, Hillsboro, Beaverton, Tigard, Lake Oswego, Oregon City, Tualatin and West Linn.

But a newsroom analysis found far fewer people actually live in the Level 3 evacuation zones identified in state mapping for mandatory evacuations.

The newsroom estimated only about 95,000 people live in zones where residents are supposed to evacuate. Even under the most conservative estimates, the number appeared to be no higher than 200,000.

State officials on Friday initially defended their estimates, saying they were based on Level 3 areas.

“It’s certainly not under 100,000,” said Lauren Wirtis, a spokeswoman for the state’s Joint Information Center. “Five-hundred-thousand is the estimate we have based on the population density we have in those areas.”

Wirtis said she could not immediately provide more details about the state’s methodology used to calculate the estimate, adding that “'population density' is the most specific I can be right now.”

Wirtis said the state would consider a request from the newsroom to provide the underlying calculations.

“This is an incredibly tragic situation and I don’t want us to get so lost in the detail of the exact number that we forget that these are people who don’t have homes anymore,” Wirtis said.

But Oregon’s governor on Friday afternoon clarified that only about 40,000 Oregonians had been evacuated, with 500,000 total under some sort of notice to evacuate or to prepare for evacuation.

“More than 40,000 Oregonians have been evacuated," Brown said during a news conference. "And approximately 500,000 Oregonians are currently in evacuation zones – that means 500,000 people are either at a Level 1, 2 or 3 evacuation alert.”

Andrew Phelps, director of Oregon’s Office of Management, seemed to acknowledge the glaring mistake Friday.

“I also understand how important these numbers are to the public," he said during a news conference. "We’ve got a lot of numbers associated with this disaster, and we’re committed to getting these numbers right. And we’re going to be working to ensure that every time we release numbers, those numbers are factual and confirmed.”

The state’s erroneous evacuation estimate had been plastered across national media Friday morning. An online headline in the Washington Post declared: “Half a million Oregonians, more than 10 percent of the state’s population, have evacuated from wildfires.” The headline topping The New York Times’ website read: “Oregon Orders 500,000 to Evacuate as Fires Near Portland Suburbs.”

Plymouth Rock was vandalized on Friday in the second attempt this year to cover it. According to a statement by “See Plymouth,” “around a gallon of white paint was poured onto the rock” but was quickly removed.

Plymouth Rock is a historical monument engraved with “1620,” the year the pilgrims arrived in what is now Plymouth, Massachusetts, and stepped off the Mayflower. While it has undergone some changes and had pieces “chipped off” to be “found around the Nation,” the rock receives “over a million visitors a year.”

“The Town of Plymouth takes great pride in the symbolism of Plymouth Rock,” said Lea Filson, executive director of See Plymouth, the official tourism agency of the town and county of Plymouth. “Through the glacial period, through the thousands of years the Wampanoags had their settlement in Plymouth, then called Patuxet, through the Mayflower Pilgrim landing and through today, it remains a witness to history.”

Police are reportedly working with the owner of a nearby ship, “Mayflower II” as well as “businesses and residents in the area to try to identify the vandal through surveillance camera footage.”

Earlier in 2020, a 17-year-old vandalized Plymouth Rock and the Pilgrim Maiden statue and the National Monument to the Forefathers “leading up to the 400th anniversary of the Mayflower landing” by spray painting the numbers and letters “508” and “MOF” in red across them.

The high school student responsible “was charged with 11 counts of vandalism” but is confirmed to not be connected to the most recent vandalism.

The graffiti in February was removed free of charge by “East Coast Power-washing owner and lifelong Plymouth resident Jake Mowles.”

“The town spent a lot of money beautifying the area for the anniversary. So we decided to volunteer our time to clean it up. I own the company so it won’t cost much out of pocket, and we love our town,” Mowles told the Boston Globe.

Australia's Anti-Lockdown "Freedom Walk" Results In Arrests After Clashes With Police; "Big Event" Planned For Sunday

As the world gets closer and closer to, what is likely going to be forced vaccinations against COVID-19, anti-vaxxers and anti-lockdown protests have sprung up Saturday (Sept. 12) across Australia and New Zealand.

In Melbourne, demonstrators took to the streets, defying strict social distancing measures, resulting in at least a dozen arrests as clashes with police were seen, reported RT News.

Rallies were observed in central Melbourne early Saturday around the Shrine of Remembrance, an area that saw a surge in social unrest last weekend (see: here).

"Despite all the warnings, it was disappointing to see individuals turn out to protest in the city today, putting the lives of Victorians at risk," Victoria Police said in an e-mailed statement to Reuters.

RT notes while "1,500 people" signed up to attend today's protest, only about 100 protesters were actually seen - considering local police have threatened anyone who breaks lockdown restrictions could face upwards of a $1,650 fine.

Organizers branded the protest as "a legal walk" that would allow Melburnians "to come together, get healthy, and talk about getting our freedoms back." The walk did not go over well with Victoria Police, who told The Epoch Times that they were monitoring social media activity ahead of the planned protests.

"Victoria Police is aware and monitoring potential protest activity planned for this weekend. We are currently making a number of inquiries in relation to this and remain in the process of planning our operation response," Victoria Police Media Unit Supervisor Sam Bidey told The Epoch Times in a statement.

News Corp Australia's Jack Paynter posted a series of tweets showing "dozens of police" moving in on the Shrine of Remembrance as they waited for protesters.

The first thing a prosecution team must do when initiating this kind of investigation is to insulate the investigators and prosecutors from being exposed to material they should not see because of Garrity. This is done through the creation of a “filter” team — one or more prosecutors and a few investigators whose job it is to go through everything amassed during the IG’s investigation, and “filter out” any compelled statements that might violate Garrity. IG Horowitz’s two investigations involved interviews of dozens of federal agents and other federal employees. Many of them may have been given some form of Garrity warning — similar to a Miranda warning. But it’s possible that some were warned that a failure to answer IG questions could lead to an adverse job action for refusing. The judgment about whether the IG interview amounted to a “compelled” statement or not is a case-by-case determination. So the “filter team” has to go through every interview done by the IG for that purpose, and separate out any interviews which might be a problem. The prosecutors and investigators never see those interviews because doing so would “contaminate” them with information they are not entitled to use against potential defendants in building a criminal case.

Sometimes this process requires “interviewing the interviewers” — meaning the “filter team” would actually sit down with Horowitz’s agents and go over the interviews they did to rule out any issues of whether the statements given fit the definition of being “compelled” under the Garrity. So this is not necessarily a quick process to complete.

The “filter team” then has to determine if any specific evidence collected in the IG investigation was produced solely as a result of information learned from a “compelled” statement. If such evidence is found, that evidence is “fruit of the poisonous tree” and is “filtered out” so the prosecution team never sees it.

It is also the role of the “filter team” to see if there is an “independent source” for that evidence. Is there another route that the prosecutors could follow to come up with that same evidence — a route that does not depend on what was learned in the “compelled statement.” If so, then the evidence can remain in the case file when it is handed to the prosecution team.

This “filter team” has to work independently of the leader of the investigation. Durham can’t know of any of the information filtered out because that would contaminate him as well.

Once the “filter” work is done, the “filter team” is disbanded because they cannot remain with the prosecution — they possess information about compelled statements that the prosecution cannot know. A “Garrity” file is created that has all the information and statements that have been removed from the IG case file, and that is maintained separately in case the need ever arises to document what information was not given to the prosecution team.

These are well established and well-understood practices and procedures in DOJ. Durham would have needed someone he knew and trusted, and someone who had done sensitive work like this in the past to lead that “filter team.” Their decisions on what to provide the prosecution team and what to hold back would be crucial in how the case developed.

If indictments are imminent, this is generally the point you would expect the “filter team” to depart.

I don’t know if Dannehy was part of the “filter team” or led the “filter team.” But the 6-12 month time frame she was originally given would be consistent with that role. She fits the part of someone that Durham would have called on to serve in that role, and the time of her departure is consistent with having served in such a capacity.

Oregon fire marshal Jim Walker put on leave amid historic wildfires

Oregon’s fire marshal has been put on leave amid an unprecedented spate of wildfires that are burning throughout the state.

The Oregon State Police on Saturday announced Fire Marshal Jim Walker had been put on paid administrative leave.

The state police did not said why Walker was put on leave.

A source familiar with the situation said Oregon State Police Superintendent Travis Hampton had lost confidence and trust in Walker’s ability to manage the historic wildfires. Walker, the source said, had effectively turned over day-to-day management of the fires to his chief deputy, Mariana Ruiz-Temple.

Ruiz-Temple has been appointed the acting fire marshal.

"Mariana is assuming this position as Oregon is in an unprecedented crisis which demands an urgent response,” Hampton, state police superintendent, said in a statement.

“This response and the circumstances necessitated a leadership change. I have the absolute confidence in Mariana to lead OSFM operations through this critical time. She it tested, trusted and respected – having the rare combination of technical aptitude in field operations and administration."

The fire marshal’s office is tasked with protecting people, property and the environment from fire and other hazards. Walker has served as fire marshal since 2014.

Wildfires have scorched more than 1 million acres throughout the state, spanning from the southern border to the coast and Clackamas County. That figure is about twice the yearly average over the past 10 years.

Seven people have been confirmed dead, dozens more are unaccounted for and hundreds have lost their homes.

These New York City nursing homes are supposed to be nonprofits, but their directors are raking in fat salaries, bonuses and benefits.

The heads of five homes had pay packages that neared $1 million or topped it, according to a review of 2018 tax filings for the facilities, the latest available.

The compensation for Daniel Reingold, the CEO of the Hebrew Home in Riverdale, came to $1.5 million including a salary of $833,930, a bonus of $197,910 and “other compensation” of $412,947, making him the highest-paid administrator of the city’s nonprofit facilities

With 751 beds, the Hebrew Home is the largest nonprofit nursing home in the state and is part of RiverSpring Health which includes assisted living and other housing arrangements.

It has had 25 deaths related to the coronavirus since the outbreak began, said spokeswoman Wendy Steinberg.

Reingold got a supplemental payout in 2018 “to create industry parity for his 30 years of service and his turning age 65,” Steinberg said. She added his compensation was reduced by 42% this year because of the organization’s “financial challenges.”

Scott LaRue, who heads ArchCare, the Archdiocese of New York’s nursing home network, had a compensation package worth $1.47 million including a salary of $829,452, a $222,834 bonus and retirement payout of $109,591. His salary was 13% higher than the previous year.

ArchCare spokesman Jon Goldberg said the organization operates a “diverse billion-dollar healthcare system” and to compare it to other nursing home operators “in most respects, including compensation, would be apples to oranges.”

Goldberg said the organization paid more than $1 million in appreciation bonuses to front-line caregivers during the coronavirus outbreak, but would not say if any executives took pay cuts.

Alexander Balko, who heads the Metropolitan Jewish Health System, got a $1 million salary and a bonus of $200,000, plus $66,877 in other compensation and $124,000 in deferred compensation and other unspecified benefits.

The system runs the Isabella Geriatric Center in Manhattan which has had at least 98 deaths linked to COVID-19.

A spokeswoman for the health system did not comment on whether any executives were taking pay cuts amid the crisis.

The salary and benefits for Michael Rosenblut, president of the Parker Jewish Institute in Queens, came to $1.2 million in 2018. The state said 53 residents of the 527-bed home had died of COVID-19 as of Wednesday. A spokeswoman did not return a call for comment.

Emma DeVito, who heads Village Care of New York in Manhattan, received $950,000 in compensation, including salary of $664,849 and a $155,685 bonus. A representative for the organization did not return a request for comment.

Russia And China Reject Microsoft Report of Alleged Meddling in US Election

MOSCOW/BEIJING – Russia and China rejected an allegation by Microsoft that they are allegedly “seeking to meddle in the United States’ 2020 presidential election”, accusing the American tech giant of fabrication and attempts of creating trouble where there is none.

“Microsoft’s conclusions Russia allegedly interfered in the US election do not deserve attention as long as there is no substantial proof”, Russian Presidential Spokesman, Dmitry Peskov told the media on Friday.

“You will agree that there was no sensible information then. There were some absolutely groundless charges, some phobias that there must be Russian cyber monsters behind any cybercrime. If this [Microsoft report] follows the same pattern, it is merely indicative of low qualification. If there are some professional arguments there [in the Microsoft report], then they should be turned an attentive ear to, of course,” Peskov said.

The presidential spokesman said he had not seen the Microsoft report himself yet and asked journalists to quote some of the arguments the company’s analysts had used.

“What makes Microsoft think that it was a group of Russian hackers?” he asked, adding, “What makes them think that they were Chinese, Iranian and Russian [hackers]? Does the report say so? Why didn’t they say that there had been French or Polish hackers, or an Estonian group involved?”

Peskov promised he would make more comments on this issue as soon as journalists found in the published report at least some proof that the cybercriminals belonged to a certain country.

In response to a quote from the report read out by journalists that US intelligence officials had allegedly found evidence of Russia’s meddling in the elections Peskov said that “the US intelligence has repeatedly made mistakes and this was recognized in the process of various investigations and parliamentary probes”.

“It was recognized by US legislators themselves and their commissions that looked into Russia’s rumored interference in elections. Then there followed official conclusions by these commissions that Russia had not interfered in the elections,” he said.

The Kremlin spokesman called for interpreting such reports “with far greater tolerance.”

“We’ve heard all this many times, to our regret. I can merely say once again that Russia did not intervene, does not intervene and has no intention to intervene in any country’s internal affairs or election processes. Likewise, we strongly dislike it when others try to meddle in our affairs,” Peskov said.

Chicago’s Fraternal Order of Police Endorses Donald Trump for Reelection

The Fraternal Order of Police’s (FOP) Chicago chapter announced it has endorsed President Donald Trump for reelection in November.

The police union’s board of directors voted on September 2 to back the president, according to NTD.

Following the announcement, chapter President John Catanzara said of Trump, “I will do whatever I can for him.”

“But there’s definitely people who are not going to be happy about it. There are more Democrats, locally speaking, but there’s even some Democrats who would agree that the current president has been very good for employment and law enforcement these days,” he noted.

When it came to Democrat policies, Catanzara accused Mayor Lori Lightfoot of “steering the ship into an iceberg full speed ahead without even blinking an eye as if the iceberg is going to break when you hit it,” according to Patch.com.
