Colorado man sentenced to 300+ years for human trafficking

A 30-year-old Colorado man was just handed one of the longest sentences ever for human trafficking.

At 304 years, human trafficking and forgery ring leader Chauncey Price will spend the rest of his life and then some in prison. Douglas County District Court Judge Theresa Slade announced the sentence during a hearing Oct. 8, 10 months after Price was found guilty on 13 counts, including human trafficking for sexual servitude andcriminal attempt to commit pimping of a child.

During his trial, three of his victims recounted their nightmarish ordeal at his hands, forced into having sex with strangers for money that they then had to turn over to Price. The customers were found through ads that Price and his accomplices would place online, ads that offered up women and girls for sex.

β€œChauncey promised to take care of me,” one of his victims said in a statement she read at the sentencing. "At first he paid for my drug habit and food and let me stay for free. But nothing is free. … He threatened to kill my sister if I didn’t work for him – that is when he turned me out. He kept pushing me to sleep with more and more men, up to eight a day. … I couldn’t even use the bathroom without someone watching me. Once I didn’t eat for three days.

"… I want to make it clear that I came forward to save others from him. … He exploited young girls, controlled them and manipulated them. He will continue to do that if he ever gets out.”

Senior deputy district attorney for the 18th Judicial District Kelley Dziedzic asked the judge for a 300-year sentence.

β€œAny reasonable good person would have looked at these victims and would have extended sympathy or empathy, but Price only looked at them and saw opportunity. His victims will live with the repercussions of his actions for the rest of their lives. They have a lifelong struggle ahead of them.

"He has been given deferred judgments and had them revoked. He has had probation revoked. He had community corrections revoked. He was in prison, and he committed new acts while out on parole. While out on bond in this case, he tried to contact one of his victims. He has repeatedly turned his back on opportunities for rehabilitation. … In this case that stretched over nearly a year, he had numerous chances to step away, but he never chose to change his behavior.”

DNA test shows Hunter Biden is father of Arkansas baby, court filing -

 

LITTLE ROCK (KATV) β€” Paternity testing has determined that Hunter Biden, the son of presidential candidate and former vice president Joe Biden, is the father of a baby born in Arkansas, according to a court filing.

 

A motion filed Wednesday in Independence County Circuit Court says that DNA testing has established with "scientific certainty" that the younger Biden fathered the child with Lunden Alexis Roberts. Public records list a Batesville woman, age 28, with the same name.

 

The motion, filed by Roberts' attorney Clint Lancaster, says that Biden is not expected to challenge the results of the DNA test. The testing was conducted Nov. 8 in Oklahoma City, a separate court filing says.

 

The motion requests that certain records in the case be sealed to protect the baby's identity.says.

 

A hearing is scheduled for December 2nd in Batesville. According to Lancaster, they plan to file a request for temporary child support and records of Biden's income.

 

Lancaster adds Secret Service is aware of the situation, but he is not requesting detail. He says the role of the Secret Service would be to monitor any threats against the child to keep them safe.

 

Roberts filed a petition for paternity and child support in May. The suit says that Roberts and Biden were in a relationship and that the child, identified as "Baby Doe," was born in August 2018 as a result of that relationship.

 

Biden is believed to have been dating his late brother Beau’s widow, Hallie Biden, when Roberts gave birth.

When the FBI failed to follow up on the disturbing contents, the shop owner turned over a copy of the contents to former federal prosecutor Rudy Giuliani. Giuliani, in turn, released the material to the New York Post.

 

In one text, Hunter Biden tells his daughter Naomi she can’t keep living like a billionaire’s daughter because her dad is broke.

Army Troops Will Soon Get These Next-Gen Weapons for Close Combat

 

The U.S. Army will buy new automatic infantry weapons starting in 2022, replacing the existing M4 carbine and M249 squad automatic weapon. The weapons will include new technology, particularly a new, longer-range and lighter-weight bullet. The Army will purchase at least 100,000 of the new weapons for the troops most likely to see combat.

 

Defense News reports the Army has received 15 examples of prototype rifles, squad automatic rifles, and 180,000 rounds of ammunition from three companies: Sig Sauer, General Dynamics Ordnance, and Textron Systems (shown in the photo above). The Army also awarded contracts to Vortex Optics and L3/EoTech/Leopold-Stevens for advanced sighting systems. The first prototype test event concluded in September, and further tests are on the way.

 

The army will pick one rifle/optic combination for a contract worth 100,000 rifles. As Task & Purpose reported in April 2019, the Army has decided the weapons will β€œgo to the top 100,000 that are in the close fight with the threat."

 

This likely includes U.S. Army Special Forces, Army Rangers, and conventional rapid-response light infantry, airborne, and combat engineer units.

 

The new rifle uses a new 6.8-millimeter round, replacing various 5.56-caliber rounds that U.S. Army rifles and carbines have used since 1965. The Army, concerned that the 5.56 has reached the end of the line in terms of lethality, range, and weight savings, decided it needed a newer, longer-range, but lighter round.

 

The 6.8-millimeter round will equip both the Next Generation Squad Weapon-Rifle, which is meant to replace the M4 carbine carried by most troops, and the Next Generation Squad Weapon-Automatic Rifle, which replaces the M249 Squad Automatic Weapon.

As new coronavirus restrictions came into force across Spain’s Catalonia, bar and restaurant workers took to the streets to protest the 15-day closure of the hospitality sector, warning their industry is in danger of β€œextinction.”

 

Approximately 1,000 hospitality workers gathered in and around the Plaza de Sant Jaume, in Barcelona’s historic center, on Friday to reject the regional government’s decision to close bars and restaurants for a fortnight amid a surge in new infections.

 

Most of the protests have been peaceful, with demonstrators banging pots and pans together as they highlighted the impact of the new Covid-19 restrictions on businesses and jobs.

 

Demonstrators chanted β€œdo not close us,β€β€œgovernment resign,” and β€œwe are not to blame” as they expressed their anger over the regional administration’s decision. The demonstrations also blocked traffic and major roads as groups marched around the city.

 

Police in riot gear were deployed as tensions grew and some protestors hurled eggs, fruit and even plates at the headquarters of the Catalan government.

 

One banner, held by a protestor in a panda costume, read β€œIn danger of extinction. Pandas and hospitality workers united by a cause.”

 

The announcement that bars and restaurants would close came on Wednesday as interim regional chief Pere Aragones said that Catalonia needed to act now in order to avoid a full lockdown in the future. The new restrictions were announced as Covid-19 infections in Catalonia surpassed 250 cases per 100,000 people.

 

The hospitality sector must close completely for 15 days under the measures, with the exception of takeaway and delivery services. Shopping centers and gyms have also been forced to reduce their capacity, while face-to-face classes at universities have been cancelled and all non-professional sports competitions suspended.

 

Spain has collectively registered 921,374 infections and 33,553 deaths since the coronavirus pandemic began, according to government figures. On Thursday the country registered a near record for daily infections at 13,318, along with another 140 deaths.

Pfizer Inc. said Friday it could apply for emergency use authorization in the United States of its COVID-19 vaccine by late November. Bourla said Pfizer is "operating at the speed of science," but there are three steps that must happen before the company can release its COVID-19 vaccine.

 

"First, the vaccine must be proven effective, meaning it can help prevent COVID-19 disease in at least a majority of vaccinated patients." Then the "vaccine must be proven safe, with robust safety data generated from thousands of patients." The last step is demonstrating that the "vaccine can be consistently manufactured at the highest quality standards."

 

"We may know whether or not our vaccine is effective by the end of October," Bourla said, based on its 40,000-person clinical trial. "To do so, we must accumulate a certain number of COVID-19 cases in our trial to compare the effectiveness of the vaccine in vaccinated individuals to those who received a placebo."

 

"So let me be clear, assuming positive data, Pfizer will apply for Emergency Authorization Use in the U.S. soon after the safety milestone is achieved in the third week of November," Bourla wrote. A family-owned bakery in the town of Hatboro claims that its election-themed cookies β€” which are currently flying off the rack β€” have accurately predicted the outcome of the past three presidential elections.

The Intercept co-founding editor Glenn Greenwald criticized Facebook and Twitter’s recent censorship of the New York Post’s bombshell article revealing Democratic Presidential Candidate Joe Biden’s alleged meeting with executives of a Ukrainian energy firm. According to Greenwald, β€œIn sum, the two Silicon Valley giants, with little explanation, united to prevent the sharing and dissemination of this article.”

 

In a recent article titled β€œFacebook and Twitter Cross a Line Far More Dangerous Than What They Censor,” Glenn Greenwald states that, β€œjust weeks before the election, the tech giants unite to block access to incriminating reporting about their preferred candidate.” Breitbart News outlined Big Tech’s efforts to censor the story here.

 

In the article, Greenwald claims that the Post’s claims that the story was a β€œbombshell” were β€œoverhyped” but that the concerted effort by social media giant’s such as Facebook and Twitter to censor the story are extremely troubling.

 

Greenwald outlined the social media giant’s reaction to the Post’s article, writing:

 

But the Post, for all its longevity, power and influence, ran smack into two entities far more powerful than it: Facebook and Twitter. Almost immediately upon publication, pro-Biden journalists created a climate of extreme hostility and suppression toward the Post story, making clear that any journalist even mentioning it would be roundly attacked. For the crime of simply noting the story on Twitter (while pointing out its flaws), New York Times reporter Maggie Haberman was instantly vilified to the point where her name, along with the phrase β€œMAGA Haberman,” were trending on Twitter.

The company dispatched a life-long Democratic Party operative who now works for Facebook β€” Andy Stone, previously a communications operative for Democratic Senator Barbara Boxer and the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, among other DC Democratic jobs β€” to announce that Facebook was β€œreducing [the article’s] distribution on our platform”: in other words, tinkering with its own algorithms to suppress the ability of users to discuss or share the news article. The long-time Democratic Party official did not try to hide his contempt for the article, beginning his censorship announcement by snidely noting: β€œI will intentionally not link to the New York Post.”

Breitbart News recently reported on the New York Post’s bombshell story that indicated that Joe Biden may have met with an adviser to the board of Burisma while he was Vice President, arranged by his son Hunter, who was working as a lobbyist for the company at the time. Joe Biden has previously said, β€œI have never spoken to my son about his overseas business dealings.”

 

But, the leaked emails allegedly show that Hunter introduced his father to a Bursima executive less than a year before Biden, acting as Vice President, pressured the Ukrainian government into firing a prosecutor who was investigating the company. Shortly after the story broke, many found themselves having trouble sharing it across social media. Emails: Burisma Adviser Told Hunter Biden His β€˜Ultimate Purpose’ Was to β€˜Close Down’ Investigations

 

An adviser to the Ukrainian energy company Burisma suggested in an email in 2015 that Hunter Biden was expected to provide β€œdeliverables” for the company, including the β€œultimate purpose” of stopping β€œcases/pursuits into the company’s founder.

 

The email, contained in a batch published by Ken LaCorte at the Media Action Network, is reportedly from the same laptop that has been the source for a recent series of articles in the New York Post purportedly about Hunter Biden’s business dealings. The authenticity of the emails has not been verified.

 

The batch includes an email in November 2015 from Burisma adviser Vadim Pozharskyi to Hunter Biden’s business partners (on which Hunter Biden was cc’ed), outlining a set of β€œdeliverables.”

 

The emails make clear that Biden and his partners were expected to arrange meetings with U.S. and Ukrainian officials with the goal of β€œimproving Nikolay’s case and his situation in Ukraine.”

 

β€œNikolay” appears to refer to Burisma founder Mykola Zlochevsky, according to the Post.

 

Pozharskyi wrote that the β€œlist of deliverables” included β€œthe ultimate purpose” of stopping β€œcases/pursuits against Nikolay”:

 

My only concern is focus to be on the same page re our final goals. With this in mind, I would like to formulate a list of deliverables, including, but not limited to: a concrete course of actions, uncle. meetings/communications resulting in high-ranking US officials in Ukraine (US Ambassador) and in US publicly or in private communication/comment expressing their β€œpositive opinion” and support of Nikolay/Burisma to the highest level of decision makers here in Ukraine :President of Ukraine, president Chief of staff, Prosecutor General, etc

 

The scope of work should also include organization of a visit of widely recognized and influential current and/or former US policy-makers to Ukraine in November aiming to conduct meetings with and bring positive signal/message and support on Nikolay’s issue to the Ukrainian top officials above with the ultimate purpose to close down for any cases/pursuits against Nikolay in Ukraine.

 

Other emails in the trove show a keen awareness of Hunter Biden’s relationship to his father, then-Vice President Joe Biden, who was leading U.S. diplomacy with regard to Ukraine.

 

In May 2014, Pozharksyi wrote to Hunter Biden and Archer explaining that Burisma was under pressure from the Ukrainian government. He claimed that government officials, seeking cash, had decided to pressure the company by launching investigations that could result in the company losing its energy licenses or its business partners.

 

He added:”We urgently need your advice on how you could use your influence to convey a message / signal, etc .to stop what we consider to be politically motivated actions”.

 

Another May 2014 email from Heather King, a partner at the Boies, Schiller & Flexner law firm, to Pozharskyi β€” on which Hunter Biden and Archer were cc’ed β€” proposed creating a β€œbullet-proof vest” for Burisma, including relationships with U.S. government officials.

 

Another email, dated May 13, 2014, reported that Vice President Biden’s counsel called Hunter Biden’s business partners to ask that they tell Burisma to take down a photograph of Devon Hunter and Joe Biden that appeared on Burisma’s website.

Second batch of smoking gun emails reveal Hunter Biden's dealings with 'disappeared' Chinese energy company chairman about his $30 MILLION consultancy fee 'for introductions alone'

Twitter barred the Trump campaign from its account for trying to share the originally story about Hunter's Ukraine emails amid a mounting row over 'censorship' by it and Facebook;

Donald Trump seized on the release - orchestrated by his personal attorney Rudy Giuliani - to call his rival 'a corrupt politician';

Senate Republicans said they will investigate the first tranche of emails, from Hunter's Ukrainian business partners, which appear to show the Burisma energy aide being introduced to Joe Biden when he was vice president;

Democrats accusing Giuliani of peddling 'misinformation' and 'parading around with a Russian agent.'

 

The latest emails, published again early in the morning, focus on Hunter's dealings with Ye Jianming, the former chairman of CEFC in 2017, after his father had left office and when it was thought he would not run in 2020.

 

Ye has not been seen since he was taken into custody by Chinese authorities in 2018 amid rumored links to the Chinese military and intelligence services.

Hunter's pay was '850' and the correspondence also noted how he 'has some office expectations he will elaborate'.

France’s anti-terrorism police are investigating after a man was beheaded in Paris on Friday evening.

 

One man was found beheaded in the north-western Paris suburb of Γ‰ragny, Val-d’Oise on Friday afternoon, after a police patrol came upon a man carrying a knife. Major French newspaper Le Figaro reports the officers ordered the man to drop his weapons and when he didn’t and acted aggressively towards them they opened fire, killing him.

Mexico’s Former Secretary of Defense Arrested In California

 

Federal authorities in California arrested Mexico’s former secretary of defense. He is expected to make a court appearance in the near future where U.S. federal prosecutors will unveil the charges against him.

 

On Thursday evening, Mexico’s Foreign Relations Minister Marcelo Ebrard announced via social media the arrest of former Mexican Secretary of Defense Salvador Cienfuegos Zepeda. The minister claimed he received notice of the arrest from the U.S. Embassy in Mexico.

 

Cienfuegos served as Mexico’s top military official during the administration of former President Enrique Pena Nieto. As part of his duties, Cienfuegos was the top authority in Mexico’s military. According to Ebrard, Cienfuegos is expected to go before a judge in California on Friday morning. It is customary in U.S. federal court cases that sealed charges are not disclosed until the defendant appears before a magistrate. The arrest of Mexico’s former top military official comes just months after U.S. authorities arrested the country’s former top law enforcement official Genaro Garcia Luna, Breitbart Texas reported. I have an acquaintance, he is an unusual person, extremely high functioning autistic, computer engineer, intrusion expert.

I asked him a few weeks ago to look into classes being online and possible routes of exploitation.

We wanted to confirm if perverts were able to hack into different video classes that schools were requiring students to participate in. They are, and not just that.

 

He was able to get into various school systems across the country and watch classes being given, not only seeing the classroom but seeing into the individual students' homes. It is a very bad idea to have the "classroom computer" in a child's bedroom.

 

If you are logged on as a parent you see your child, other children, and the teacher. What you don't see is another hundred set of eyes watching your child. These programs and software were hastily put together and are filled with weakness making it easy to gain access.

Another area he showed me was "exercise bicycles" and "fitness mirrors". Peloton is a prime example and one that was most easily accessed. The camera can be turned on for "video chatting"

 

At any time, it has less security than your phone.

 

He was able to pull up numerous video clips of people working out, disrobing, more intimate activities,

 

And so on. Many people seem to have mounted exercise mirrors in their bedrooms , although I have no idea how that one person works out with so many clothes on the floor you can't see the carpet.

 

This is new technology and the companies are in a rush to be the first big name and they are putting safety and Security behind everything else. If you have one of these I would suggest you put a cover over the camera when it's not in use.

 

It is only a matter of time, just like Alexa and Siri, before law enforcement would exploit any cameras inside your home. The doj in Baltimore, RR, has already drawn up paperwork to cover this for search warrants. "If you placed a camera in your home

United States Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers seized a 13-ton shipment of beauty products from China, amounting to $800,000 in July. The shipment, which included wigs made of human hair suspected to be taken from prisoners, originated from the Xinjiang Uighur Autonomous Region in northwestern China. CBP officers seized the shipment compliant with a June detention order for Lop County Meixin Hair Product Co. Ltd., the manufacturer of the beauty products.

 

According to information received by the CBP Office of Trade, the company used prison labor to manufacture its products. Section 1307 of the Tariff Act of 1930 explicitly forbids importing all products β€œmined, produced, or manufactured wholly or in part in any foreign country by convict labor, forced labor, or indentured labor.”

The U.S. State Department estimates that more than 1 million Uighurs have been detained in the region’s re-education camps alongside other minorities.

 

The beauty products seized by CBP officers are not the only products of Uighur forced labor: Even ubiquitous items such as smartphones, face masks and garments are the result of inhumane labor practices in Xinjiang.

 

A March report by the Australian Strategic Policy Institute (ASPI) detailed how Uighurs are forced to work in factories that produce components for mobile phones. The U.S. Treasury on Friday said it is asking primary bond dealers whether it should increase the size of auctions for Treasury Inflation-Protected Securities (TIPS) following the Federal Reserve’s announcement of a new inflation targeting policy.

In a series of social media posts this week, a commissioner for the San Francisco Board of Education declared that β€œmerit” is β€œan inherently racist construct designed and centered on white supremacist framing.” She added, β€œWe racially code our world based on implied beliefs that privilege whiteness.”

 

In the tweet thread, Commissioner Alison Collins first referenced a paper that β€œanalyses how high-stakes, standardised testing became the policy tool in the U.S. that it is today and discusses its role in advancing an ideology of meritocracy that fundamentally masks structural inequalities related to race and economic class,” and also references radical-leftist pseudo-historian Howard Zinn.

 

The paper also states that high-stakes, standardized testing arose out of β€œracist and classist legacies”:

 

The historical roots of high-stakes, standardised testing in racism, nativism, and eugenics raises a critical question: why is it that, now over 100 years after the first standardised tests were administered in the United States, we have virtually the same test-based achievement gaps along the lines of race and economic class? Given the historical origins of standardised testing in the social efficiency movement, which sought to educate students according to perceived future social roles, IQ testing, and the eugenics movement, there is no reason to believe that these testing systems could shake off their racist and classist legacies so easily.

Please be mindful that β€œmerit” is an inherently racist construct designed and centered on white supremacist framing that justifies who IS and ISN’T worthy of education, safety, justice, empathy… basically humanity. When we say some kids β€œdeserve” access to a quality education, we are also inherently saying some don’t. When we say some schools are β€œacademic” we are saying others aren’t. When we say some cultures value education, we are saying some don’t.

 

She then buttressed her argument by referencing left-wing critical race theory:

 

These are what folks who are experts in critical race theory call binary thinking. Black vs. White, good vs. bad, safe vs unsafe… These are all ways we racially code our world based on implied beliefs that privilege whiteness. This is also known as the β€œwhite frame.” And, yes, this even applies at a majority Asian-American school. Fundamentally the issue of selective enrollment is about access and resources, not justice. In this way β€œmerit” is not about fairness, it’s just another sorting mechanism to justify who does or doesn’t deserve access to resources.

Two of the questioners at the ABC town hall featuring Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden on Thursday had ties to high-profile Democrats, including one questioner who previously worked as a speechwriter in the Obama administration.

 

One of the questioners at the ABC-hosted event was Nathan Osburn, a former speechwriter for the Obama White House. Osburn specifically worked for the Office of Public Affairs at the Commerce Department under the Obama-Biden administration and at the Small Business Administration.

 

Osburn’s profession was listed as β€œcommunications” on the ABC town hall graphic and his city was listed as Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

 

Osburn was quoted in the Philadelphia Inquirer earlier this year as β€œa former Obama administration speechwriter” who had created a β€œPhilly for Pete group” aimed at boosting former Democratic presidential primary candidate Pete Buttigieg.
