Prime Minister Scott Morrison's relative Dame Mary Gilmore was a socialist crusader and poet who wrote for the Communist Party newspaper Tribune.

 

She was the first female member of the Australian Workers' Union (AWU), which Labor leader Bill Shorten later headed, and campaigned for the welfare of the disadvantaged all her life.

 

Mr Morrison knows his great great aunt would not have agreed with his political views but is proud of the family connection to the woman on the $10 note.

 

Dame Mary (1865-1962) was a bush teacher who became heavily involved in the labour movement and other social causes in Sydney in the 1890s.

 

She championed nationalism, worker's rights, feminism, Aboriginal welfare, pensions and health care. Her views eventually became too radical for the AWU of her time.

 

Dame Mary's image has appeared on $10 bills since 1993 and her most famous poem, No Foe Shall Gather Our Harvest, is printed in micro form on the note.

 

Before taking leadership of the Liberal Party, Mr Morrison was best known for 'stopping the boats' as Immigration Minister and cracking down on welfare cheats in the Social Services portfolio.

 

Mr Morrison told Daily Mail Australia a Queensland man recently wrote a poem (published below) about him called 'Billy Gilmore's Ringer', referring to his uncle, Dame Mary's grandson.

The only generational age gap that right now appears to be the key 'awake group' and likely only one who will have a chance to fight, is the present 30-45yo age group, right before the digital education system came through. Big times ahead, fearing death does nothing for anyone, for all we know its the way out of this mess and we've tried to avoid it our entire lives because reality tells us so. At this point, we might 'have it all', but we actually know very little.

Brotha, it is SPOOKY that your view on that is exactly what I've felt since I was in my early 20's. I'm a Gen X'er, Christian, and honestly never expected to reach old age. There were too many fucked up things even in the 90s, to the point that I KNEW somehow we would be the last generation. No need to invest in retirement plans, or other asset protection (which now i wish I had).

I can distinctly remember some very 'odd', for what i can most easily describe now in hindsight as 'spiritual intuitions', from a very young age, maybe 2-4yo the earliest, but i can vividly recount them now as if its just happened. I always had a sense of anxiety that is say 'why is everyone walking around and can't see it, the danger/bad feeling, why aren't they worried!'

 

That followed on into other things, but the one aspect that as mentioned has struck me more than anything is the concept of 'future'. I never really believed in the current way we use 'time'. It still makes zero sense other than for enslavement into a labor system. Knowing that i think changes the foundational understanding of partaking in this reality.

 

With that, the timeline through my teenage years say late 90s/early 00's, was exponentially expanding, everything was, and it was an unsustainable trajectory in my perception of it. You could tell 15-20 years ago that it was already starting to come apart, yet everyone was persuaded to keep feeding on the material world they where delivering, this was the deception to build their grand tool to bring it about. When you think about it, they really haven't done the dirty work, the people have, unknowingly. They have devised a system like that of a bright light to a moth, and as the general brainwashed do they follow the the herd and thus have manifested the world they need to get the plan completed.

 

All we have to do is stop working and we kick this battle off instantly. They have the tech to be self sufficient now with their 500m or whatever they claim, but if we pull the plug now and all stop working and stop interacting with their system, they implode in a flame of glory. You can bet your ass they will start a kinetic war instantly in order to try force conscript everyone because 'muh-war, fight for freedom' as they always use, but by that point people are fighting for their own lives not fictitious ones they make up.

U.S. District Judge Paul Crotty in Manhattan granted a default judgment on Gooding’s liability to the plaintiff, known as Jane Doe, without addressing the merits of her accusations.

Gooding, 53, will have a chance to argue that Doe deserves less than the $6 million she sought in her complaint last August, including for pain and suffering as well as punitive damages. Crotty ordered him to address the case by Sept. 7.

Thoughts:

 

General Flynn was β€œsaved” because President Trump provided a pardon. If he did not receive the pardon- one could see he would have been destroyed by the corrupt establishment. This is even with Sidney Powell and the truth on his side.

A study from Boston Children's Hospital finds that starting drug treatment with alpha-2-adrenergic agonists (A2As), such as guanfacine and clonidine, can be effective in reducing ADHD symptoms in preschool-age children. Just as important, the study shows that these medications have fewer side effects than stimulants, like methylphenidate (Ritalin, Concerta) and amphetamines (Adderall, Vyvanse), which are often the first line of ADHD treatment.

 

A2As were initially used to regulate blood pressure in adults but then gained FDA approval to treat ADHD in school-aged children after clinical trials found they could improve attention and focus and reduce ADHD symptoms.

 

Results of this ADHD/A2A study are published in JAMA. It is the first analysis of the effects of both stimulants and A2As in preschool children."

Research using Gain-of-Function (GoF) techniques is no different with respect to what it can achieve in the long term, at least according to many of the symposium participants. Atlas noted that, although there was no attempt to achieve a consensus, no disagreement was voiced to the repeated claims of various presenters that in the short term GoF research is helpful for adapting viruses to growth in culture and for developing essential animal models for emerging pathogens, such as Middle East Respiratory Syndrome coronavirus (MERS-CoV), and escape mutations to understand drug resistance and viral evasion of the immune system. In the long-term it may also allow the generation of information that is not obtainable through other methods, but whether all the long-term benefits envisioned for GoF research will actually be realized is still unclear. Vaccine producers in particular disagree on whether GoF methods are essential for vaccine development, so the contributions of GoF research to vaccine development need careful evaluation. Increasing reliance on gene sequences to predict phenotypes may increase GoF research's importance over time. As was clear from the presentations in Session 4 of the symposium, there is wide recognition that it is not yet possible to predict phenotype from genotype, but Dr. Philip Dormitzer, from Novartis Vaccines and a member of the symposium planning committee, noted that as more genotype-phenotype linkages are established, it may enable keeping certain viral characteristics out of vaccine strains.

 

SURVEILLANCE, DETECTION, AND PREDICTION

The first presentation in Session 4 was given by Dr. Stacey Schultz-Cherry, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, who discussed the information garnered from GoF studies about what she believes are its public health implications. Her home institution is one of five National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) Centers of Excellence for Influenza Research and Surveillance in the United States and focuses on the animal-human interface. St. Jude is also a World Health Organization (WHO) collaborating center for studies on the ecology of influenza and is part of a global influenza surveillance and response system that includes six WHO collaborating centers and 144 national influenza centers throughout the world. St. Jude collaborates with colleagues in the animal health sector and their main role is to decide on the influenza strains that are incorporated into the seasonal flu vaccines. They also decide whether vaccines or candidate vaccine viruses are needed for emerging zoonotic threats.

 

The national influenza centers conduct viral strain surveillance throughout the year, looking at the genetic information from human as well as emerging zoonotic viruses. Every February and September, representatives from the WHO centers and central regulatory laboratories as well as animal health experts go through the surveillance data to decide on which viruses to choose as vaccine strains. This information is given to the vaccine manufacturers and regulatory agencies, and 6-9 months later the vaccines become available. She described many of the complexities of the process. She noted, in particular, that determining the function of amino acid changes in the viruses circulating in the field is one of the key tasks. As an example, she discussed an ongoing outbreak of H5 viruses in Cambodia. Through GoF research, it has been determined that the presence of certain genetic markers in the outbreak strain suggested that this particular virus could be more readily transmitted, at least in ferrets. This information has provided the persuasive factor to move forward with the development of a vaccine.

 

Schultz-Cherry noted that GoF research-derived information is also used for risk assessment. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has developed a risk assessment tool, the Influenza Risk Assessment Tool, to rank the risk associated with particular viruses. She stated that the result of using the Tool is not a prediction of the next pandemic, but rather an objective means of prioritizing viruses for future risk management. The Tool looks at the properties of a virus. What kind of receptors does it bind to? Is it more mammalian or avian? Does it transmit in animal models, or does it have molecular signatures that would suggest transmissibility? What is its genomic variation? She stated that all of this information, especially the molecular determinants of transmissibility, has been generated through GoF studies at some point, perhaps even as far back as the 1970s. She stated that the ability to prioritize is important because of limited resources; vaccines cannot be made for every new emerging virus.

The divorcee and soon-to-be divorcee of two of the richest men in the world are teaming up to give away $40 million to four organizations that promote gender equality.

Melinda French Gates, the estranged wife of Microsoft founder Bill Gates, and Amazon founder Jeff Bezos’ ex-wife Mackenzie Scott announced the donation together.

The awardees were selected through the Equality Can’t Wait Challenge, hosted by French Gates’ investment firm Pivotal Ventures and supported by Scott and her science teacher husband Dan Jewett.

Billionaire philanthropist Lynn Schusterman’s family foundation also supported the donation.

β€œThe awardees are strong teams working on the front lines and from within communities to help women build power in their lives and careers,” Scott, who divorced Bezos in 2019 and quickly became the world’s richest woman, said in a statement. β€œAnd best of all, they’re not alone.”

Scott has made a name for herself since her divorce from Bezos as being more charitable with her fortune than Bezos and other tech billionaires.

In June, Scott donated $2.7 billion to hundreds of organizations and in December, she gave away another $4.2 billion in donations.

Scott has a net worth of almost $64 billion, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index. Bezos remains the wealthiest man in the world, according to Bloomberg.

The recipients of the latest donation were selected from a pool of more than 550 applicants. The winners are focused on various aspects of gender equality, including caregiving, tech and career development, higher education and minority communities.

β€œThe overwhelming response to the challenge proves there’s no shortage of transformational ideas about how to accelerate progress for women and girls,” French Gates added. β€œWe can break the patterns of history and advance gender equality, but we must commit to lifting up organizations, like the ones receiving awards today, that are ready to lift up women and girls.”

The Gateses shocked the world in May when they announced their divorce plans. Bill Gates is currently the fourth-wealthiest person in the world, with a net worth of about $151 billion, according to Bloomberg’s index.

And the mega-billionaire couple control one of the largest and most powerful charitable organizations in the world, the Bill and Melinda Gates Organization.

It remains unclear exactly how the massive Microsoft fortune will be divvied up among the two.

French Gates’ most recent donation through her own investment firm could provide a path for her to continue with her philanthropic endeavors, but be separate from the $65 billion Gates Organization.

Last month, Warren Buffett, a longtime trustee of the philanthropy, resigned from the organization as the messy divorce plays out.

And earlier this month, the organization’s CEO Mark Suzman announced that French Gates agreed to quit the foundation in two years if the pair realizes they can no longer work together.

LA PORTE, Texas - Two people were killed and numerous others were injured following an incident at a plant in La Porte on Tuesday evening, officials say.

 

According to Lee Woodward, City Secretary and Public Information Officer for the City of La Porte, emergency officials responded to a "mass casualty" incident at the LyondellBasell facility, located at 1515 Miller Cut-Off Road, just after 7:30 p.m.

 

The two men who died in the incident were identified by medical examiners as Dustin Day and Shawn Andrew Kuhleman.

LaPorte, Texas is nothing but chemical plants on the Houston ship channel. An old man told me some 40-50 long years ago that if we are ever physically attacked by an enemy, it would be the chemical and petroleum plants that get hit.
