Dozens of Massachusetts State Troopers Resign Ahead of Deadline for State’s Mandatory Vaccine Mandate

 

This week, a Massachusetts Superior Court judge refused to allow any delay of the state’s vaccine mandate that is set to begin on October 17th. The decision has already caused a wave of state troopers to file their paperwork to quit the force and even more are expected to resign before the mandate kicks in.

 

“Dozens” have already quit, according to the State Police Union boss, Michael Cherven.

 

“We are disappointed in the judge’s ruling; however, we respect her decision.

 

To date, dozens of troopers have already submitted their resignation paperwork.”

 

Now that the judge had denied postponing or altering the mandate, troopers who plan to stay and have not received a vaccine have just days to choose which experimental jab they will take. Any officer who has not gotten their first shot by the deadline will lose their job – Around 20% of them are still unvaccinated.

 

Officers are completely “fed up” with Republican Governor Charlie Baker’s order that requires them to take the jab. The policy was instituted on August 19th and applies to all Executive Branch employees – including the state troopers. The only people who can gain exemption from the order are those who have either a medical or religious justification – which is very rarely approved.

 

It’s one of the most strict mandates in the entire country, offering “no reasonable alternatives.”

 

Cherven explained that the troopers only want to have the same choice that their fellow officers in other local municipalities have. The 1,800-member union has been willing to negotiate – in fact, it’s their “preferred route” – but the Governor’s office has refused to budge.

 

“It is unfortunate that the Governor and his team have chosen to mandate one of the most stringent vaccine mandates in the entire country with no reasonable alternatives.

 

Simply put, all we are asking for are the same basic accommodations that countless other departments have provided to their first responders, and to treat a Covid-related illness as a line-of-duty injury,” Chevren said.

 

Several of the troopers will return back to their former police departments that are outside the purview of the Governor’s vaccine mandate and still allow for regular testing and masks for officers who don’t want to take the rushed vaccine.

 

The departure of so many officers will become a massive burden for the already-depleted State police force. Special units that investigate homicides, terrorism, computer crimes, and human trafficking, among others, will be most heavily impacted.

 

One way or another, these vaccine mandates are successfully purging the ranks for the left.

France had Scott Morrison’s mate David Gazard on their payroll for the $90 billion Submarine scam. Has Morrison pulled off one of the biggest stings ever?

 

The Submarine contract with France, who have a long history of bribing other countries for defence contracts, was always a major scam that blew out from $50 billion to $90 billion in a couple of years with millions flowing into the hands of Liberal Party cronies. France openly had several Liberal Party cronies on their payroll, including Scott Morrison’s close friends David Gazard and Peter Costello, so they thought they owned the Australian government and that is why the French are so mad with Morrison cancelling the deal.

 

As with most major frauds it is a case of following the money to find the truth. I have been following the money in this matter since 2016 with a number of articles.

 

Scott Morrison’s announcement of the Claytons deal with the US and UK for nuclear Submarines achieves nothing but to shine a light on the original scam further. As journalist Peter Hartcher from the SMH says below there is no deal with the US and UK. There is only an agreement with the US and UK to possibly come to an agreement in the future which is a joke and not worth the choreographed announcement between Morrison, Joe Biden and Boris Johnson that happened.

 

I have investigated the Submarine scam since it was first announced in 2016 and written numerous articles on the matter which are well worth reading again so you get the full picture. The titles of the articles by themselves tell a big part of the story. On the 30th of April 2016 I published an article titled “Bribery allegations against Australia’s $50 billion submarine contract winner” which started off:

 

Australia has just awarded a $50 billion defence project to build Submarines and even before the ink is dry on the contract hundreds of thousands of dollars if not millions of dollars have landed in the pockets of Liberal Party crony and former staffer Sean Costello. To make matters worse the French company DCNS which has won the $50 billion contract is currently under investigation by a French court for bribing Malaysian officials to win their submarine contract in 2002.

 

DCNS is alleged to have bribed officials linked to Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak and the corruption also involves allegations of murder. This is on top of other previous allegations of bribery against DCNS.

 

Another suspicious element of the Australian tender is that DCNS employed former Liberal staffer Sean Costello as its CEO for the bid. Mr Costello was chief-of-staff for former Defence Minister David Johnston who was sacked from his position in 2014. Click here to read the article)

At least three people are confirmed dead and an undisclosed number injured after an Amtrak train derailed in Montana on Saturday, the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office confirmed to The Post.

 

The Empire Builder, which runs between Chicago and Seattle, had 147 passengers and 13 crew members on board when five cars derailed near Joplin around 4 p.m. on Saturday, Amtrak confirmed in a statement.

 

Amtrak said it is working with local authorities to help evacuate passengers.

 

Photos circulated on social media showing passengers and responders standing next to the tipped-over train cars along a dirt road and fields.

 

A Spokane-based news director who’s brother-in-law is a firefighter in Montana said in a tweet that responders “were dispatched & told to prepare for a large amount of people trapped – or worse.”

Myth: COMIRNATY is not the same as the PFIZER-BIONTECH COVID-19 vaccine.

 

Truth: It is common for vaccine names to change after receiving full Food and Drug Administration approval for branding purposes. COMIRNATY and Pfizer-BioNTech are biologically and chemically the same vaccine. The FDA approved Pfizer-BioNTech for licensing and branding as COMIRNATY August 23 for people 16 years and older. Critically, the Emergency Use Authorization for Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine continues and covers the 12-15 year old population.

 

In accordance with FDA guidance, COMIRNATY has the same formulation and can be used interchangeably with the FDA-authorized Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine. Providers can use doses distributed under the EUA, to administer the vaccination series as if the doses were the licensed vaccine.

 

Myth: There were no people of color involved or represented in the research or development of the vaccine.

 

''Truth: COVID-19 has taken a heavy and disproportionate toll on people of color, particularly Black adults. Historically, people of color have been underrepresented in clinical trials. Therefore, ensuring racial and ethnic diversity in clinical trials for development of COVID-19 vaccines has been particularly important. Diversity within clinical trials for a COVID-19 vaccine also ensures safety and effectiveness across populations. Findings show that Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine safety and efficacy were similar for people of color and white participants.

 

The FDA offered nonbinding recommendations that strongly encouraged the enrollment of populations most affected by COVID-19, specifically racial and ethnic minorities. Both Pfizer and Moderna worked to ensure that people of color were included in their trials, with Moderna even slowing down enrollment to enroll more racial and ethnic minorities. There have also been efforts on the community side. Historically Black colleges and universities participated in COVID-19 vaccine trials and encouraged participation among their communities. The purposeful encouragement to increase racial and ethnic groups in these trials have achieved greater diversity than many previous trials for other drugs.

 

Myth: The COVID-19 vaccine can cause problems with breast tissue and lead to breast cancer.

 

Truth: There is no evidence that COVID-19 vaccines cause problems with breast tissue or would lead to breast cancer. The mRNA vaccines are processed by your body near the injection site and activate immune system cells that then travel through the lymph system to nearby lymph nodes. In this manner, an individual may experience swelling under the arm where the vaccine was administered due to swelling of the lymph node. The vaccines are not affecting hormone levels, nor are they traveling throughout the body or affecting other body organs, such as breast tissue. Swollen lymph nodes can show up in a mammogram even if women can't feel them. Hence, the Society of Breast Imaging recommends women delay any routine mammography scheduled within four weeks after their most recent COVID-19 vaccination.

A girl threatened with charges or jail over her COVID social media posts has won a lawsuit against the sheriff

 

A federal judge has ruled in favor of a high school girl who said she was threatened with jail if she didn't take down her social media posts about her brush with COVID-19 last year.

 

Amyiah Cohoon, then a sophomore, took a spring break trip to Florida with the Westfield Area High School band in 2020. The students returned to Wisconsin on March 15, earlier than planned, because of the coronavirus outbreak.

 

Cohoon posted on Instagram that she thought she had been infected, had been to hospitals, and though she tested negative, her doctors thought she probably had had it earlier. In a final post, she is wearing an oxygen mask and says she's beaten COVID, and urges others to stay safe.

 

On March 27, Marquette County Sheriff's Sgt. Cameron Klump came to the Cohoon home and said Sheriff Joseph Konrath had ordered the posts be taken down, as he didn't believe there were any confirmed cases of COVID in the county.

 

Earlier that day, the school district administrator had notified parents there was "no truth" to rumors a student had contracted COVID-19 during the band trip. He called Cohoon's posts, "a foolish means to get attention and the source of the rumor has been addressed.”

 

Cohoon took down the posts but sued Konrath and his deputy a month later.

 

On Friday, U.S. District Judge Brett Ludwig granted her summary judgment in the case.

Arizona’s Maricopa County forensic audit report presentation began at 4:00 EST Friday in the State Senate showing over 57,000 votes are in question. The Maricopa audit is just one county in Arizona but it is the fourth largest county in terms of population in the U.S. The full report with Senate President Fann’s letter to AG Brnovich can be found here.

The independent audit team presented their findings with Senate President Karen Fann presiding. The Senate Republicans chose an audit team led by Cyber Ninjas CEO, Doug Logan and Ben Cotton of CyFIR.

 

Data analyst and inventor, Dr. Shiva Ayyadurai also presented his analysis of several facets of the audit, including findings on duplicate ballots and ballot envelope images.

 

Senate liaisons Randy Pullen and Ken Bennett both presented. Bennett reviewed pertinent election laws and statutes toward the end of the presentation that could force compliance by the county to adjust the number of votes.

 

Senator Peterson, also present for the hearing, spoke at the end. He mentioned the constant obstruction to the audit, ostensibly spending, he said, “hundreds of thousands of dollars” to fight the process of an independent audit that was by and large supported by the citizens of Arizona. Peterson identified many critical issues that need to be addressed, some of which are criminal offenses:

“Fauci’’, a portrait of the 80-year-old who has emerged as America’s most famous doctor and the divisive figurehead of the nation’s Covid-19 response, will be released on streaming platforms by National Geographic next month.

 

Dr Fauci has described himself as the “skunk at the picnic” in Donald Trump’s coronavirus taskforce. His rift with the former US president cemented his status as an unlikely cult hero on the left, while right-wing supporters and pundits continue to pillory him and call for his arrest.

 

Now restored as President Joe Biden’s chief medical adviser, the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases remains a lightning rod for public criticism as the US struggles to contain the outbreak.

 

In the documentary Dr Fauci is unchecked in his criticism of the “extreme far-right QAnon jerks” who have threatened his family. “I don’t understand the hate that people have,” Dr Fauci’s wife, Dr Christine Grady, said at one point.

Dr Fauci was a leading researcher during the Aids crisis. Echoing the antivax protests of recent months, the documentary shows protests in the 1980s in which gay rights activists bore placards declaring “Fauci, you are killing us” and carried effigies of his head on a stick.

 

His efforts to stem the epidemic were later acknowledged, but not before tens of thousands of Americans had died.

 

Dr Fauci noted a key difference between the abuse he faced then and the pandemic today. The Aids activists who pilloried him were fighting for their lives in the face of government hostility and indifference.

“This audit has been the most comprehensive and complex election audit ever conducted. It involved the hand count of approximately 2.1 million ballots with a forensic paper inspection and a forensic review of the voting machines. Most important—an in-depth analysis of the voter roll and the 2020 general election final file.”

 

“57,000 votes and 734 pallets with serious issues were identified in the audit including improper voter registration and improper voter discrepancies—this is a conservative estimate.”

 

Dr. Shiva was responsible for the analysis of the ballot images which were handed over only recently due to resistance on the part of the County. Shiva discussed the duplicate ballots, many of which were approved erroneously. There were 2-copy, 3- copy and 4-copy duplicate ballots in the mix. Shiva found that there were ballots that had 2,580 “scribbles” for signatures and 1,919 with no signature at all. He then moved to signature analysis of the EVBs (Early Voter Ballots).

A total of 17,126 voters sent in two or more ballots as duplicates, according to Shiva.

“People were lurking in the system to understand the counts. At any moment in time, they could adjust….they took your legal ballots, fraudulent ballots and counterfeit ballots and the legal ballots voted illegally. They jammed it into the system.”

Doug Logan began his analysis at around 5 p.m. EST. He reviewed the measures he and his team used to ensure that the audit was comprehensive and secure from top to bottom. Many of the counters were local volunteers performing their inspections to favor accuracy over speed—one of the reasons the audit took several months.

 

The volunteers examined the paper at a granular level, with microscopes to identify paper fibers, indicating the type of paper used. There were over 140 terabytes of data for the paper examination alone.

Logan said that the current completed information documented in the report includes hand counts, image capture, review and analysis of voter rolls. Not included today are the Splunk Logs and data from the routers. Additionally, paper analysis needs to be completed. He said the record-keeping for the audit was poor.

“There were more duplicates than there were original ballots,” said Logan, and there were numerous concerns with the duplicate ballots in general. There were missing or incorrect serial numbers, duplicate ballots co-mingled with originals, etc.

 

Logan confirmed that the count alone still showed that Biden had the most votes. A proper canvass would be needed to reconcile the multiple irregularities that indicate the ballots counted do not reflect what actually happened in the election. Logan also confirmed Shiva’s finding that the EV32 files did not match the EV33 files; the early voter ballots sent (EV32s) should match the early voter ballots received (EV33).

Duplicate Ballots/MC Audit/Ninjas

Ben Cotton/CyFIR handled the cyber security aspects of the report. His findings were significant. His team captured over 114 terabytes of information, mostly in the form of images of the system.

 

Cotton said there was “no accountability in the security measures” for the 2020 election. “It only takes one person with admin access to provide external voting access to that voting system.” The system was “neither accountable nor was it secure,” said Cotton.

 

Among the findings from Cotton’s team are:

 

Security patches have never been updated since the Aug. 6, 2019 installation of the software.

They failed to update anti-virus definitions and failed to preserve security logs. No malware was found on the Election Management System (EMS).

Credential management portion of the investigation showed the county allowed shared accounts and common, more easily hackable passwords.

Devices on the network were shown to have connected to the internet, contrary to what the county and Dominion maintained. Some of the internet activity “correlated with a purge of data on the day before the audit.”

Someone logged in as an administrator and deleted a lot of data.

They caught on video whoever went in and did the file deletion. This is criminal and will be referred to AG Brnovich.

Cotton said the credential management in Maricopa County was “offensive”—meaning the County showed little effort toward accountability of the account holders who had access to the systems.

 

“I will tell you,” Cotton said, “that in Maricopa County, they failed to provide or perform basic operating system and patch management functions. All major security vendors update their antivirus at least on a weekly basis.”

 

He was not allowed to look at the poll worker laptops or any ICX devices (for handicapped people). He also stated his team was not allowed to see credentials that would help validate the configuration settings or the admin settings.

 

Security Issue/CyFIR

There were hardware configuration issues, meaning there were two hard drives on the adjudication endpoint—not an approved configuration—a significant finding. The previous audits done by Maricopa County did not discover this dual-drive configuration.

 

“This means you can boot from a hard drive that is not part of the election configuration and have access to the election network. Very important. It’s clearly not part of the [approved] election configuration and allows access to the election network. There appeared to be non-Maricopa accounting data on one of the bootable hard drives. There were Domininion databases and data that appeared to have originated from Washington State and South Carolina,” said Cotton.

Cotton also said there were thousands of file deletions from the (EMS). Files were deleted during several time frames between the end of October and March of 2021.

“One hundred percent of the paper is fake,” says Patrick Byrne in a post-hearing video conference attended by Patrick Byrne, Joe Flynn, Phil Waldron, Steve Montenegro, Seth Keshel and Jovan Hutton Pulitzer. This was confirmed by Jovan Hutton Pulitzer in the same discussion broadcast on The America Project. The America Project has helped foot the cost of the audit with the help of Patrick Byrne and donations from Americans. Byrne declared:

 

“The election should never have been certified. This is not about Trump or Biden. They deleted a great deal of data and tried to cover up election fraud. It is time for indictments and de-certification.”

 

The paper issue was not covered with granularity during the hearing but Byrne confirmed the finding regarding the paper stock used is in the full report. Pulitzer says that proper security paper was not used—a significant issue, if true. VoteSecure stock paper should have been used to help avert fraud and bleed-through of voter ballot markings.

Notably, while the report was comprehensive with the information that was made available to the Senate and the auditors, a County-run canvass has not been performed and the auditors have yet to see routers and Splunk logs, passwords, and hardware keys because of resistance from the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors. That agreement has been reached and the findings are forthcoming—no deadline has been mentioned by Fann for the completion of that investigation. The Routers could provide important data that will help paint a more accurate picture of what happened in the County’s November 2020 election.

 

A canvass was originally requested by the Senate Republicans and proposed in the original contract but significant pushback from the federal government, the Democrats, and Secretary of State Hobbs forced Fann and the Republicans to back off from doing a canvass. A letter in May from Principal Deputy Assistant Attorney General Pamela Karlan claimed, “potential intimidation of voters” if a canvass were to be performed. A citizen-run canvass, led by Liz Harris and over 1000 volunteers who went door-to-door, found 173,104 “lost votes” and “96,389” ghost votes.

 

Important to remember is the earlier preliminary hearing in July that revealed multiple anomalies and raised many questions. The audit team reported their painstaking and exacting process to deliver an accurate accounting of the 2020 vote. They revealed in the hearing significant issues with mail-in ballots, signature verification, thousands of duplicate ballots with no matching serial numbers, issues with insecure passwords, and alleged unauthorized security breaches.

11,326 people didn’t show up in election files on November 7 but suddenly appeared on December 4, and it was recorded that they had voted in the 2020 election.

3,981 voters were registered after October 15 who voted. It was decided in court that voters registered after that date would not be able to vote.

18,000 voters who voted were shown to have been removed right after the election. Documentation is needed on those voters and canvassing would help, according to Logan.

Lawmakers were told on Friday during a hearing on an audit conducted in Arizona’s most populous county, Maricopa County, of inconsistencies uncovered during a forensic audit into the 2020 election commissioned by the state’s Senate.

 

Senate President Karen Fann, a Republican, said the audit had faced unnecessary obstruction from the county, which went to court in a bid to ward off the audit and subpoenas.

 

Fann said that while the audit did not uncover a significant difference in the total vote tallies, which she said showed a difference of only hundreds in the final report, evidence was uncovered of other anomalies such as statutes being broken and chain of custody not followed.

In a letter to the state’s attorney general recommending further investigation, Fann raised concerns over signature verification on mail-in ballots, the accuracy of voter rolls, the securing of election systems, and the record-keeping of evidence related to the elections.

 

“I am therefore forwarding the reports for your office’s consideration and, if you find it appropriate, further investigation as part of your ongoing oversight of these issues,” Fann wrote in her letter to Attorney General Mark Brnovich.

 

Brnovich said Friday in response to the letter that he’s prepared to “take all necessary actions” after the audit results were unveiled.

 

“I will take all necessary actions that are supported by the evidence and where I have legal authority,” Brnovich, a Republican, said in a news release. “Arizonans deserve to have their votes accurately counted and protected.”

"A federal appeals court judge has blocked New York City's COVID-19 vaccine mandate just days before it was set to go into effect. U.S. 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals Judge Joseph F. Bianco sided with a group of New York City teachers late Friday who brought a challenge against the requirement. The group of teachers brought the lawsuit earlier this month arguing the mandate violated their right to due process and put them at risk of losing their livelihoods. The lawsuit argued that unlike the federal mandate, which gives workers the option to undergo regular tests instead of the vaccine, the city offers no similar opt-out. Bianco, in the short ruling, ordered a temporary injunction against the mandate while a three-judge panel decided the matter on an expedited timeline. Cyber Ninjas, a Florida-based company that was hired by the Senate to conduct the audit, said its review involved over 1,500 people and a total of over 100,000 hours.

 

While the company said in the recount it only found a vote discrepancy of 994 in the presidential race and 1167 in the Senate race, the report highlights potential problems with tens of thousands of ballots.

 

The company said that 23,344 mail-in ballots were received from voters’ previous addresses, 9,041 more ballots were returned by voters than received, 5,295 voters potentially voted in multiple counties, 2,592 ballots were there were more duplicates than original ballots, and 2,081 ballots were from voters who had moved out of state prior to the election.

 

“Mail-in ballots were cast under voter registration IDs for people that may not have received their ballots by mail because they had moved, and no one with the same last name remained at the address. Through extensive data analysis we have discovered approximately 23,344 votes that may have this condition,” the report states.

 

The company suggests canvassing to be conducted to further validate the findings. The company also said that “there are potential ways a voter could receive their ballot which in some cases would not violate the law,” but suggested “additional investigation by the Attorney General is recommended for any conclusive determination.” It also suggested that voter registration be linked to changes in driver’s licenses or state identification.

 

According to the company’s report, the official results do not match the totals from the “Final Voted File.”

 

“These discrepancies are significant with a total ballot delta of 11,592 between the official canvass and the VM55 file when considering both the counted and uncounted ballots.” Cyber Ninjas said the finding is significant because “the number of individuals who showed up to vote should always match the number of votes cast.”

Another area of concern were duplicate ballots found during the review of the over 2 million ballots.

 

A total of 29,557 duplicate ballots were identified in the presidential election, according to Cyber Ninjas. Of those, 26,965 had been sent for duplication, showing 2,592 more duplicate ballots were counted in Maricopa County than had been sent for duplication.

 

“The audit team attempted to resolve the discrepancies, but those efforts were impeded by the County’s failure to properly identify duplicate ballot batches and failure to assign unique serial numbers to each damaged ballot sent to duplication and then match that number to the duplicate ballot printed to replace it,” the report states.

 

“The County delivered boxes of paper ballots that were commingled and incorrectly identified … the auditors could not rely on the County’s description of ballot boxes or batches identified on the manifest,” the report states.

 

Shiva Ayyadurai, who was commissioned by the Senate to “check the signatures or lack thereof” on the ballot envelopes, said during Friday’s hearing before the Senate that “our audit reveals anomalies raising questions on the verifiability of the signature verification process.”

 

Shiva said that his team was hired only to verify whether the envelopes contained a signature—not whether the actual signature matched that of the voter in question.

 

According to Shiva, out of the 1,929,242 return envelopes provided by the Senate, 17,322 duplicates were found, with some voters having cast the same ballot three to four times. According to Shiva, over 25 percent of the duplicate ballots were received between Nov. 4 and Nov. 9, 2020.

 

Meanwhile, the report states that there were “hundreds of damaged ballots with unreadable serial numbers.” According to the report, regular audits of the duplicate ballot process should be required.

 

The audit also identified other ballots affected, in smaller numbers, such as 397 mail-in ballots sent without there being a record of them having been sent, 393 ballots that had incomplete names, 282 votes cast by individuals who “were flagged as deceased,” 198 votes cast by individuals who registered to vote after the Oct. 15 deadline, among other categories.

The audit also found that 50 ballots had been double counted on election machinery. “The image shows one of 50 ballots that were tabulated twice giving each associated over – two votes.”

 

The audit team said that it had intended to conduct research into the paper that was used, as well as the ink, toner, and format of the ballots, but that the company that prints the ballots for the county had been instructed by Maricopa County “not speak with auditors.”

 

Auditors also saiy that despite a subpoena dated Jan. 13, 2021, they did not receive original ballots for rejected provisional ballots, uncured mail ballots, and ballots that were returned to the county as undeliverable.

 

“Failing to receive these components prevented portions of the audit from being completed, such as validating that the right number of provisional ballots existed, and ballots returned to the County as undeliverable were properly accounted for and were not reused in some other context,” the report states.

 

“Since these items were not provided, this work was not able to be completed.”

While auditors finished part of the audit that deals with the ballots, they say an evaluation of voting machine equipment is ongoing.

 

“Because the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors and the Arizona Senate have recently settled their dispute concerning outstanding subpoena items, this portion of the audit is not yet complete,” the report states.

 

Auditors also said that “the Election Management System (EMS) database, which holds all details associated with the 2020 General Election, was purged and all the election results were cleared by a Results Tally and Reporting Admin.” Maricopa County previously disputed the claim that the files had been deleted.

 

In response to the draft report of the audit, the Maricopa County government said on Twitter that the audit “confirms the county’s canvass of the 2020 General Election was accurate and the candidates certified as the winners did.” Maricopa officials, in another statement, also disputed Cyber Ninjas’ claim that they didn’t comply with their investigation and alleged the firm lacked the auditing experience to undertake such an effort.

 

“This means the tabulation equipment counted the ballots as they were designed to do, and the results reflect the will of the voters,” Maricopa County Board of Supervisors Chairman Jack Sellers said in a statement on Friday. “That should be the end of the story. Everything else is just noise.”

Arizona Democrats, meanwhile, pounced on the auditors’ report.

 

“The Cyber Ninjas embarrassed Arizona for months, violated voters’ trust, refused transparency, and stuck AZ taxpayers with a multi-million dollar bill. What’d they find? Biden won,” Secretary of State Katie Hobbs, a Democrat who has frequently criticized the audit and has aspirations to become Arizona’s governor, wrote on Twitter. “The so-called leaders who allowed and encouraged this need to be held accountable in 2022.”

 

But Fann has long said that the goal of the audit was to improve Arizona’s election system and wasn’t designed to overturn the results.

 

“Our No. 1 goal is to make sure those laws are followed,” Fann said during Friday’s hearing, adding that there are “a lot of people” with questions about the state’s election integrity. Citing a poll, Fann said that 45 percent of Arizona’s voters had significant distrust in the election system.

 

Ahead of the official release of the report on Friday afternoon by the state Senate, Trump said the audit uncovered “significant and undeniable” fraud in the 2020 presidential election and dismissed findings that Biden gained votes in Maricopa County.

 

“The audit has uncovered significant and undeniable evidence of fraud!” he said in an emailed statement. “I have heard it is far different than that being reported by the fake news media.”

 

The audit, Trump added, “has uncovered significant and undeniable evidence of fraud,” according to the statement. “Until we know how and why this happened, our elections will never be secure. This is a major criminal event and should be investigated by the Attorney General immediately.”

 

Arizona was one of several key swing states, including Georgia, Pennsylvania, Nevada, Michigan, and Wisconsin, that were certified for Biden during the Nov. 3 election. Trump won all of those states in 2016.

 

Maricopa County hasn’t responded to a request for comment.

 

Correction: An earlier headline on this article incorrectly stated that Arizona Senate President Karen Fann said the report confirmed a specific candidate had won the election in Maricopa County. Instead, in her comments said she affirmed the findings in the draft audit report, which stated there was no significant difference in the vote tally when re-counted.
