Truth Social - @realDonaldTrump - As President, I took the most dramatic action of any administration to curtail Chinaโ€™s ability to conduct espionage in the United States โ€” and when Iโ€™m back in the White House, those efforts will be expanded in a very, very big way. Instead of hunting down Republicans, a reformed FBI and Justice Department will be hunting down Chinese spies!

California leaders brace for more bad news for state gun laws after latest court decision

California leaders vowed to double down their efforts to protect people from gun violence following a federal court's decision Thursday to strike down a law that prohibited people with domestic violence restraining orders from having guns.

The state's department of justice said the rule in California remains in effect, despite the court's ruling.

"Wake up, America โ€“ this assault on our safety will only accelerate. This is serious โ€“ and itโ€™s coming to California," Governor Gavin Newsom said in a statement Thursday. "We are probably only weeks away from another activist judge, Judge Roger Benitez, striking down California's bans on assault weapons and large capacity magazines. California will continue to fight against these extremist judges to protect our residentsโ€™ right to be free from gun violence."

The 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals said the federal law targeting those believed to pose a domestic violence threat was unconstitutional and could not stand under the Bruen test, which requires gun laws to have a historical analogy to the firearm regulations in place at the time of the Constitutionโ€™s framing, according to CNN.

โ€œThrough that lens, we conclude that (the lawโ€™s) ban on possession of firearms is an โ€˜outlierโ€™ that our ancestors would never have accepted,โ€ the 5th Circuit wrote.

The ruling was written by Judge Cory Wilson, an appointee of President Donald Trump.

"Judge Cory Wilson, Judge James Ho, and Judge Edith Jones. These three zealots are hellbent on a deranged vision of guns for all, leaving government powerless to protect its people," Newsom said.

โ€œThis is a dangerous decision, especially when we know that firearms are used to commit more than half of all intimate partner homicides in the United States," California Attorney General Rob Bonta said in a statement. "Californians should know that restraining orders, including Domestic Violence Restraining Orders, still prohibit the possession of firearms. These orders are an essential tool that remain in effect and may be requested at any time. I urge Californians to utilize these life-saving tools.โ€

Those with domestic violence restraining orders fall under California's Armed and Prohibited Persons System (APPS), which maintains a list of legal gun owners that need to be disarmed because of a certain conviction, mental health issue or have some sort of restraining order against them.

According to the California Department of Justice, those with some sort of restraining order against them made up about 21% of the more than 24,000 people on the APPS list according to its latest data. It's not clear exactly how many of them are in the system for specifically domestic violence.

Harvard has scrapped its 'misinformation' research program and severed its ties with the project's controversial director, who used her position to cast doubt over the Hunter Biden laptop story.

The project's leader Dr Joan Donavan is a so-called expert in the dangers of social media misinformation, and has publicly challenged the Hunter Biden laptop story during her time at the university.

She led the project since its inception in 2019 with the aim to 'help newsroom leaders fight misinformation and media manipulation'.

Donavan used her role to cast doubt over the media's coverage of the Hunter Biden laptop story, which saw the president's son's missing laptop appear in a Delaware repair shop containing a treasure trove of illicit images and damaging emails from his work at Ukrainian energy company Burisma.

The story was notably suppressed by several major media corporations ahead of the 2020 presidential election.

Dr Joan Donavan has consistently championed Democrats through her role as a 'misinformation' expert

Donavan frequently cast doubt over the veracity of the Hunter Biden laptop story, previously branding it a 'straw man' in an April 2022 tweet

Hunter Biden has been accused of intimidation amid the backlash to a story about him leaving a laptop containing damaging emails in a Delaware repair shop

The director of Harvard's Shorenstein Center on Media, Politics, and Public Policy announced the institution was cutting ties with Donovan in an email obtained by Semafor.

The email stated that the Technology and Social Change Project, which studied disinformation online, was being shuttered for what the outlet referred to as 'bureaucratic reasons.'

'The Kennedy School's standing policy is that all research projects must be led by a full faculty member,' said the email.

'While there can be limited exceptions, those can't continue indefinitely without a faculty member as the principal project leader and academic head.

According to her Harvard staff page, Donavan supposedly 'leads the field in examining internet and technology studies, online extremism, media manipulation, and disinformation campaigns.'

Alongside her focus on the Hunter Biden laptop story, she has also analyzed topics including white nationalism and social change activism online.

Donavan has become a loyal servant of Democrat causes during her time at Harvard but has now seen her ties to the university severed

The 'misinformation' specialist has also made repeated visits to the White House

Donavan utilized her position within the Harvard project to cast doubt over the Hunter Biden laptop story's veracity after it was first published by the New York Post on the eve of the 2020 presidential election.

Despite the story being stood up in the years following its original publication, Donavan remained defiant in her public skepticism.

In a tweet from April 2022, a year and a half after the story first broke, she slated the story as a 'straw man' point for those who oppose President Biden.

Alongside a photograph where she is pictured next to Charlie Warzel, a staff writer for The Atlantic, Donavan wrote: 'Me and @cwarzel Looking at the content on the Hunter Biden Laptop, the most popular straw man question at #Disinfo2022.'

She also questioned the veracity of the article during a podcast appearance on the day of the 2020 presidential election.

'So, the sourcing of it just stinks of tradecraft. It stinks of a drop.

'And many cyber-security professionals are waiting for an opportunity to forensically analyze the contents of this hard drive.'

She also claimed that because other stories about Hunter Biden had circulated prior to the bombshell laptop leak, the story was less likely to be true.

'What we see as researchers when they're trying to make a story happen time and time again, and it doesn't, then you start to see the intensification and adaptation of tactics,' she said.

'So, we pretty much expected more and different styles of attack, including a leak, but was really suspicious of it, is you've got someone with millions of dollars.

'He can't afford Geek Squad at Best Buy to come to his house for the laptop that he has evidence of crimes on? I mean, it's really hard to believe.'

A series of damaging and illicit photographs and emails have come to light after Hunter Biden accidentally left a laptop in a repair shop which contained a trove of information about his past

Dr Joan Donavan has had her ties to Harvard severed after the university shuttered her 'misinformation' research project

Hunter Biden has recently been accused of attempting to intimidate the Delaware computer repair shop owner John Paul Mac Isaac, who has sued him for defamation.

The president's son allegedly attempted to enact revenge on Mac Isaac after he brought the story surrounding his laptop to light.

The two first encountered each other in April 2019, when Biden left his laptop at the Delaware computer shop and failed to collect it.

Since it was first reported on the eve of the 2020 election, the laptop has been a source of controversy for the Biden administration, with its incriminating photos of a drug-addled Hunter with prostitutes widely circulated.

The laptop also contained troves of communications over the wayward businessman's history in Ukraine, raising questions over his father's suspect international deals.

Hunter in December hired veteran political lawyer Abbe Lowell, who previously represented Jared Kushner, and began fighting back.

Lowell accused Mac Isaac of illicitly accessing the laptop. This led Mac Isaac to sue on January 27, seeking $75,000 in damages in a defamation case.

On February 1, Lowell then wrote to the Justice Department and Delaware Attorney General, demanding Mac Isaac and others be prosecuted.

On Thursday, Mac Isaac's attorney said he believed Hunter wants to criminally prosecute his client in order to enact revenge.

'We finally tracked him down and we were able to serve him last week,' said Brian Della Rocca, speaking to Fox News host Tucker Carlson.

'And now all of a sudden, we see this.'

Della Rocca said the call to bring charges against Mac Isaac was directly linked to Mac Isaac suing Hunter.

'He's trying to intimidate. And it's interesting to me that this happened when it did,' Della Rocca told Carlson.

Following backlash to his connection with Hunter Biden, Mac Isaac has launched a defamation suit against then-House Intelligence Committee chair Adam Schiff, CNN, Politico and The Daily Beast, seeking damages of 'at least $1 million'.

Four Takeaways from Treasury Secretary Yellenโ€™s Trip to Africa

The visit launches a year of high-level U.S. engagement with Africa to build a relationship of โ€˜mutual cooperation and greater ambition.โ€™

Wednesday, February 1, 2023 / By: Edward A. Burrier

Treasury Secretary Janet L. Yellenโ€™s recent 10-day trip to Africa kicks off a year of sustained, high-level U.S. engagement, aimed at demonstrating that the Biden administration is โ€œall in on Africa, and all in with Africaโ€ following Decemberโ€™s U.S.-Africa Leaders Summit. With trips from the president, vice president, and other cabinet secretaries in the works, this โ€œsuper-chargedโ€ U.S. diplomacy is moving beyond the typical secretary of state visits. A close look at some of the issues encountered by Yellen on her trip demonstrates that showing up on the continent may be the easy part of going all in with Africa.

Here are four takeaways from Yellenโ€™s trip to Senegal, Zambia and South Africa.

  1. The United States recognizes that โ€œAfrica will shape the future of the global economyโ€ and is ready to boost its partnerships across the continent.

Yellen began her trip in Senegal by noting โ€œAfrica will shape the trajectory of the world economy over the next century,โ€ pointing to the benefits of a rising educated, urbanized and more digitally connected population. Indeed, in the next dozen years, the number of working-age Africans will be greater than that of the rest of the world combined. More workers can drive growth and create wealth, a growing middle class and a larger market for U.S. goods and investment opportunities.

But as the secretary rightly warned, Africaโ€™s youth explosion could go in the opposite direction: โ€œThroughout history, young populations without opportunity can spell greater risk of unrest and conflict.โ€ She described the need to provide inclusive economic opportunity for the next generation of Africans as the continentโ€™s โ€œmost daunting and most promising task.โ€

While African economies have made great strides over the last two decades, the need for fundamental foundations such as quality infrastructure, reliable power and transparent business practices continues. Indeed, Africaโ€™s only representative in the G-20, South Africa, has trouble simply keeping the lights on.

The United States has stepped up its rhetoric behind supporting โ€œgame-changingโ€ infrastructure projects in the developing world through the G-7โ€™s five year, $600 billion Partnership for Global Infrastructure. For such projects to succeed, they cannot simply be dictated by government officials alone but must be closely linked to the needs of the private sector.

For its part, the United States would do well to step up its focus on bolstering Africaโ€™s digital infrastructure. This would help connect African economies, play to the United Statesโ€™ comparative advantage and speak to the young African tech entrepreneurs that are changing the face of African economies. At the recent Africa summit, President Biden announced a new $350 million digital initiative to expand internet access and provide Africans with increased digital skills.

Overall, in the last two years, Yellen said Washington has helped facilitate more than 800 trade deals across the continent and is โ€œstrongly supportiveโ€ of the African Continental Free Trade Area that will encompass 1.3 billion people.

  1. Zambiaโ€™s debt crisis has far-reaching implications โ€” and China is a โ€œbarrierโ€ to resolving it.

In Zambia, Yellen rightly called out Beijing for being a โ€œbarrierโ€ to ending the major copper producerโ€™s debt crisis and noted that it had โ€œtaken far too long already to resolve.โ€

In 2020, Zambia defaulted on about $17 billion of debt, leaving its economy severely weakened and in need of โ€œdesperate debt relief.โ€ More than a third of this debt is owed to Chinese lenders. To help get out of the red, Zambia has worked with the International Monetary Fund to secure a $1.3 billion bailout package. But Lusaka wonโ€™t be able to access this relief until its underlying debt is restructured. The prolonged stand-off threatens to put more into poverty and joblessness with an inability to access loans to build for the future.

Years ago, such restructurings would be handled through the Paris Club of wealthy, mostly Western nations. But over the past two decades the lending landscape has changed, with China especially โ€” as well as the private sector โ€” rapidly accelerating overseas lending with little transparency.

U.S. estimates of Chinese lending range from $350 billion to a trillion dollars. This type of opaque lending โ€œcan leave countries with a legacy of debt, diverted resources, and environmental destruction,โ€ Yellen warned Africans as she began her trip.

As the pandemic exposed significant debt vulnerabilities of developing countries, the international community increasingly realized that a new structure must be put in place to account for the shifting lending landscape. In the fall of 2020, G-20 countries โ€” including China โ€” announced the establishment of a Common Framework for Debt Treatments to provide relief to indebted countries, buttressed by credible policy reforms to help them stabilize and grow their economies. Such โ€œfair burden sharingโ€ among all creditors is essential to ensuring one lending country isnโ€™t benefiting at the expense of others.

Despite agreeing in principle to provide relief alongside other lenders, Beijing has dragged its feet for the past two years. One aspect hampering Beijingโ€™s response is coordinating the sheer number of Chinese institutions that have been lending to the developing world.

Zambiaโ€™s president said he hoped to see movement on the restructuring in the next few months. And despite her frustrations, Yellen reported recent โ€œconstructiveโ€ talks with a top Chinese economic official and said she was โ€œencouraged that progress may become possible shortly.โ€

Letโ€™s hope this optimistic view wins the day. After all, appropriately structured debt relief is in the interests of both debtors and creditors. And the outcome of Zambiaโ€™s talks will have an impact beyond its borders. Faced with rising borrowing costs as the U.S. Federal Reserve raises interest rates and high inflation, a series of defaults and instability across the developing world is possible. Governments heavily indebted to China are looking at Zambia as a test as to how they might be treated.

  1. Like in the West, energy transitions in countries like South Africa will be challenged by vested political interests.

While in South Africa, Yellen traveled to the heart of the countryโ€™s coal-producing region to tout the Just Energy Transition Partnership (JETP).

Coal makes up approximately 85% of South Africaโ€™s electricity needs, making the country the worldโ€™s 14th largest emitter of carbon. Its state power utility is inefficient, plagued by corruption and failing โ€” robbing the country of the reliable power it needs to propel its economy forward and tackle the countryโ€™s poverty.

In 2021, the United States, UK, Germany, France and the EU committed $8.5 billion to help move South Africa away from coal through the JETP. After all, South Africa has an abundance of wind resources and is considered to have one of the top potentials for solar energy in the world. The funding, accompanied by private sector investment, will tackle infrastructure changes, as well as worker training.

But such grand efforts require committed partners. South Africaโ€™s government is deeply reluctant to press the coal industry, one of the few sectors of the economy that shifted to black majority ownership since the end of apartheid and a key source of jobs. There is also suspicion of the private sector. Until recently, government policy inexplicably curtailed the amount of power private operators could produce โ€” even as the country underwent 100 days of rolling blackouts last year. Officials are also pressing for more of the $8.5 billion to be in the form of grants, not concessional loans.

The JETP envisions government dollars โ€œcatalyzingโ€ private sector investment into South Africaโ€™s energy transition. But until South Africa creates an environment where the private sector can flourish, its energy transition is likely to remain stalled, with everyday South Africans suffering the most.

South Africans understandably see hypocrisy in the focus on green transitions, as Europe has kept coal burning to blunt the impact of Vladimir Putinโ€™s war in Ukraine โ€” even importing coal from South Africa. More broadly, Yellen noted that while 17 of the worldโ€™s top 20 climate-vulnerable countries are in Africa, the continent is only responsible for two to four percent of global greenhouse emissions. To help deal with climate adaptation and conservation, the Biden administration has said it intends to provide $1 billion to support African-led climate efforts.

  1. Ending Russiaโ€™s war on Ukraine is the best way to help Africaโ€™s economies.

In addition to Chinaโ€™s growing influence in Africa, the other country hanging over Yellenโ€™s trip was Russia and the economic fallout from Vladimir Putinโ€™s nearly year-long assault on Ukraine. Prior to the onset of the COVID pandemic and the Ukraine war, Africa boasted seven of the worldโ€™s top 10 fastest-growing economies. But those two world-changing events have kicked millions of Africans back into poverty and hunger.

Yellen said that Washington was providing support to mitigate the impact of rising food and energy costs on Africans. In Senegal, she said that a U.S.-Africa strategic partnership on food security is being established and touted U.S. efforts to stabilize global energy prices and reduce Russian revenues, which could potentially provide billions in saving to Africaโ€™s oil-importing countries.

But Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrovโ€™s visit to South Africa, just days before Yellenโ€™s, was a reminder that Russia is far from isolated in the developing world. Indeed, South Africa is scheduled to host Russian and Chinese naval exercises on the anniversary of the invasion of Ukraine.

While U.S. officials stress they are not asking African partners to pick a side, Yellen did not shy away from laying blame on Moscow: โ€œโ€ฆ the actions of a single man โ€” President Putin โ€” [are] creating an unnecessary drag on Africaโ€™s economy.โ€

Yellen even went so far as to declare that โ€œthe single best thing we can do to help the global economy is to end Russiaโ€™s illegal and unprovoked war in Ukraineโ€ (emphasis added). That such a statement comes from the U.S. secretary of the treasury and former chair of the Federal Reserve should focus attention. Judging from the recent extensive back-and-forth over the transfer of tanks to Ukraine, Africans arenโ€™t the only ones who need to hear the secretaryโ€™s words.

Thailand To Become First Country In The World To Declare Its Pfizer Contracts Null And Void

Feb 3, 2023

NaturalNews.com / Ethan Huff

(Natural News) A Thai government spokesperson told Professor Sucharit Bhakdi this week that his country could soon become the first in the world to nullify and make void its contracts with pharmaceutical giant Pfizer.

According to Bhakdi, the spokesperson said, in reference to the companyโ€™s experimental covid โ€œvaccines,โ€ that โ€œwe will see to it that Thailand is the first country in the world to declare this contract (with Pfizer) null.โ€

We are told that the Royal Family in Thailand was directly impacted by Pfizerโ€™s covid injections, which reportedly harmed the kingโ€™s daughter, Princess Bajrakitiyabha. Because of this, Thai authorities are working towards ending the countryโ€™s relationship with Pfizer.

(Related: Thailand was among the many countries that were bullied by Pfizer into pushing covid jabs so the company could rake in billions of dollars in profits.)

Bhakdi says he met with top government advisors and explained to them how the entire premise behind the โ€œvaccinesโ€ is built on a throne of lies. Pfizer fraud is the only thing backing the jabs as there is no safety data to show they work as claimed.

Upon hearing this, Thai government advisors were shocked and assured Bhakdi that they are making preparations to sever Pfizerโ€™s contracts with the country.

Thailand seeks billions in retribution from Pfizer for fraudulent covid injections

In addition to ending the Pfizer contracts, the Thai government also plans to seek retribution to the tune of billions of dollars in payback from the company. That money will then go towards compensating all Thai people who โ€œlost their existenceโ€ as a result of the Pfizer covid jab rollout.

โ€œThe discussion he cited having with the Thai government spokespeople, in conjunction with their advisors to the Thai Royal family, is significant,โ€ writes Nicholas Creed for The Daily Bell.

โ€œThe monarchy is revered by Thais, to the point of being sacrosanct and beyond reproach; subject to strict Lรจse-majestรฉ laws being invoked when criticism is made of the Royal family.โ€

In short, the Royal Family of Thailand holds great sway and influence over affairs such as this. The Thai people trust its decisions and are sure to support this move to remove Pfizer from their nation.

It was reported back in December that Princess Bajrakitiyabha collapsed from a heart attack after getting jabbed by Pfizer. This is the basis upon which the Royal Family is now moving towards holding Pfizer accountable for its crimes against humanity.

โ€œIf anything was going to awaken the Thai people from indoctrinated slumber, incurring their wrath and outrage at the scale of how badly they have been duped โ€“ this would probably be it,โ€ Creed says, noting that up until now the Thai people fell for the mass psychosis and โ€œuniformed worship of the new normal ideology.โ€

โ€œI want to wake up from this nightmare.โ€

In the comments, someone wrote that Pfizer not only bullied but also bribed government officials, many through blackmail, into buying and distributing Pfizerโ€™s covid shots to their populations.

โ€œFraud vitiates everything,โ€ this person added, noting that contract law, which is color of law, is chartered under Roman Canon law.

Burisma-connected oligarch who funded Zelensky's campaign, acting career raided by Ukrainian security forces

Prior to becoming president, Zelensky played one on tv, and that sitcom was on a network owned by Kolomoiskiy. His presidential campaign, too, relied heavily on funding from the now-raided oligarch.

Feb 1, 2023

Ukrainian security forces moved in to search the home of Ihor Kolomoiskiy, a prominent billionaire who was once called the billionaire behind the president. Prior to becoming president, Zelensky played one on tv, and that sitcom was on a network owned by Kolomoiskiy. His presidential campaign, too, relied heavily on funding from the now-raided oligarch.

Kolomoiskiy is accused of embezzlement of over $1 billion from two oil companies with which he was connected. Both companies were seized by Zelensky's government in November under martial law.

Kolomoiskiy and Zelensky were very tight during Zelensky's presidential run, as well. "During the campaign," the Atlantic Council reports, "Zelenskyy appointed Kolomoiskyโ€™s personal lawyer as a key adviser, traveled abroad to confer with the then-exiled Kolomoisky on multiple occasions, and benefited from the enthusiastic endorsement of Kolomoiskyโ€™s media empire. Unsurprisingly, many viewed Zelenskyy as Kolomoiskyโ€™s candidate."

Reuters calls Kolomoiskiy a former "sponsor" of Zelensky's while referring to the search as a "war-time anti-corruption purge." Kolomoiskiy was linked to gas company Burisma in 2014, which is the company on which Hunter Biden sat on the board, coming aboard after the Maidan Revolution.

Hunter Biden's contact at Burisma, Vadym Pozharskyi, to whom he introduced his then-VP father, was reported by the New York Post in 2020 to be connected to Kolomoiskiy. Kolomoiskiy has been under sanctions by the US since 2021. In February 2021, Zelensky bypassed pandemic restrictions in Ukraine to attend a birthday bash for Kolomoiskiy.

Under Zelensky's leadership in Ukraine, "government officials deemed a threat to Kolomoiskyโ€™s interests have been removed from their posts," the Atlantic Council reports. These included Prosecutor General Ruslan Ryaboshapka who was investigating Kolomoiskiy, as well as Zelensky's first prime minister Oleksiy Honcharuk who was attempting to "loosen Kolomoiskyโ€™s control of a state-owned electricity company."

Kolomoiskiy previously held a stake in two of Ukraine's biggest oil companies, Ukrnafta and refiner Ukrtatnafta. Zelensky seized both of those companies in November under martial law. This after he had revoked Kolomoiskiy's citizenship in July 2022, along with two other men.

Kolomoiskiy has denied any involvement with Burisma, though Russian writer and investigator John Helmer "suggested that Zlochevsky and Pozharskyi were front men for Kolomoisky at Burisma," the Post reported. Other sources indicate that, despite the off-shore financial obfuscation, the oligarch was connected to Burisma.

After Vice President Biden was introduced to Pozharskyi, he pressured Ukraine to fire a prosecutor who was allegedly looking into Burisma. Burisma was "described as a big shell company network of a classic British kind, with ownership and control completely obfuscated.'"

On Friday, Zelensky said "We are preparing new reforms in Ukraine. Reforms that will change the social, legal and political reality in many ways, making it more human, transparent and effective." He did not give details at that time, saying they would come later.

Kolomoiskiy, according to the Pandora Papers, gave millions of dollars to companies that were close to Zelensky and his associates.

Democrats Propose Abraham Lincoln Statue Removal

Norton, Washington D.C.โ€™s non-voting Congressional representative, reintroduced legislation to remove a statue of Lincoln with a kneeling freed slave.

The statue has stood in Lincoln Park near the Capitol since 1876. It depicts a slave, shirtless and shackles broken, about to stand up. Lincoln stretches out his hand over the man.

Anons really interesting interview with a relatively young (mid to late 40s) FBI agent that started a year or two before 9/11. He retired after Jan. 6 and is disgusted by the FBI hyping hyping up J6 as bigger than 9/11. Really good interview, long term agents are seeing the transition to persecution instead of righteous prosecution!

Anons please follow Kyle Seraphin on Rumble, indefinitely suspended without pay for 10-12 months with children, family, had to sell his home; living in a mobile home. The FBI does this punishment thing that if an agent gets out of line, the agent is suspended (not fired), the agent cannot take another job without the agencyโ€™s approval (and they never approve). Therefore he cannot take another job because he wasn't fired. He and Steve Friend need a lot more support from America. He has really interesting interviews and info.

NORTON KICKS OFF BLACK HISTORY MONTH BY INTRODUCING BILL TO REMOVE EMANCIPATION STATUE FROM LINCOLN PARK=

WASHINGTON, D.C. โ€“Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC) today kicked off Black History Month by reintroducing her bill that would remove the Emancipation Statue from Lincoln Park in the District of Columbia, a federal park, citing its problematic depiction of the fight to achieve emancipation. The statue would be placed in a museum with an explanation of its origin and meaning.

"Although formerly enslaved Americans paid for this statue, the design and sculpting process was done without their input or participation, and it shows," Norton said. "The statue fails to depict how enslaved African Americans pressed for their own emancipation. At the time, they had only recently been liberated from slavery and were grateful for any recognition of their freedom. However, in his keynote address at the unveiling of the statue, Frederick Douglass pointedly did not praise the statue, and, indeed, in private remarks, went as far as to say, it โ€˜showed the negro on his knee when a more manly attitude would have been indicative of freedom.โ€™

"Boston removed its replica of the statue in favor of placing it in a publicly accessible location where it can be better contextualized. It is time for Congress to place the original statue in a museum, too."

The Emancipation Statue was dedicated on April 14, 1876, the 11th anniversary of President Lincoln's assassination. The statue originally faced the Capitol, with a direct line of vision to the nation's most powerful building. But when a statue celebrating African American educator Mary McLeod Bethune was erected in the eastern half of Lincoln Park, in 1974, the Emancipation Statue was rotated 180 degrees so the two statues would face each other.

Nortonโ€™s introductory statement follows.

Statement of Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton

On the Introduction of the Emancipation Statue Removal Act

February 1, 2023

Ms. Norton. Mr. Speaker.

Today, I rise to introduce the Emancipation Statue Removal Act, which would remove the Emancipation Statue from Lincoln Park, a federal park in the District of Columbia, and require the Secretary of the Interior to donate the statue to a museum or similar entity. This bill is part of a series of statue and memorial removal bills I am introducing during Black History Month.

The Emancipation Statue was dedicated on April 14, 1876, the 11th anniversary of President Abraham Lincolnโ€™s assassination. Although formerly enslaved Americans paid for this statue, it was designed and sculpted without their input, and it shows. The paternalistic statue depicting a Black man on his knees in front of President Lincoln fails to recognize African Americansโ€™ agency in pressing for their own emancipation.

Understandably, recently liberated African Americans during the Reconstruction era were grateful for any recognition of their freedom in a country where they still experienced virtually total exclusion from American life. However, even at the time of its unveiling, prominent Black Americans expressed their displeasure with the statueโ€™s design, including Frederick Douglass. During his keynote address at the statueโ€™s unveiling, Douglass pointedly did not praise the statue. Rather, in a letter to the editor of the National Republican a few days after the unveiling, Douglass expressed his dismay at the statue: โ€œThe negro here, though rising, is still on his knees and nude. What I want to see before I die is a monument representing the negro, not couchant on his knees like a four-footed animal, but erect on his feet like a man.โ€

In 2020, Boston removed its replica of the statue and plans to place it in a publicly accessible location where it can be better contextualized. It is time for Congress to place the original statue in a museum, too.

I strongly urge my colleagues to support this legislation.

Shift in southern African economic landscape following Zimโ€™s lithium ban

FRIDAY, JANUARY 20, 2023

Johannesburg - The African continent is seeing a shift in its economic landscape, with Zimbabwe recently banning all raw lithium exports after the government said it was losing โ‚ฌ1.7 billion from exporting it as a raw mineral and not processing it into batteries in-country.

Lithium is a mineral used as a component in electronic batteries for mostly cars, cellphones and computers. It is so valuable that it is known as โ€œwhite goldโ€, and its price has gone up by 1 100% in the past two years alone.

The alkali metal is found in small amounts in minerals such as spodumene, petalite, lepidolite and amblygonite, as well as in indigenous rocks and waters of some mineral springs. Itโ€™s produced through the electric decomposition of molten lithium chloride and potassium chloride.

Zimbabwe holds some of the worldโ€™s largest reserves of hard-rock lithium, a vital mineral in the production of clean energy technologies.

Presidential spokesperson George Charamba said the law had been drawn up following โ€œa beeline of 30-ton trucks full of lithium ore from Sandawana (mine) to the sea en route to different destinations of the worldโ€.

โ€œWhen the government caught up with the mischief, it looked for an appropriate law to deal with the illicit flow of high-value ore,โ€ he said.

He said the ban came days after President Emmerson Mnangagwa said a new law would target hordes of artisanal miners who were drawn by the mineralโ€™s high prices and invading abandoned mines to dig for lithium-bearing rocks.

Mnangagwa said the raw lithium was being exported through neighbouring countries.

Charamba explained that miners for a long time had been aware of the government's stance on value-addition driven by its long-term economic vision.

"Government has for a long time been having conversations about value-addition, so no one here has been caught unawares. President Emmerson Mnangagwaโ€™s vision is to industrialise the economy, and we have to be serious in terms of value-addition so that we fully industrialise the Zimbabwean economy," he said.

According to him, the paradigm policy shift by the Second Republic is the first by any country on the continent, whereas for years Africa has not benefited fully from its rich natural resource endowment. Hence the government's move demonstrates its determination to industrialise the economy in line with Vision 2030.

Energy experts weighed in on Zimbabwe's ban, saying it was a good move for Zimbabwe in terms of taking control of the raw materials produced by the country.

โ€œZimbabwe holds Africaโ€™s largest lithium reserves โ€“ the fifth-largest globally. The province of Masvingo is home to the Bikita mine (with reserves amounting to 10.8-11 million tons of lithium ore. With a grading of 1.4%, this would amount to around 0.15 million tons of usable lithium,โ€ he said.

Reddy said this was similar to a move made by Indonesia early last year which banned the export of unprocessed nickel ore.

โ€œIndonesia has approximately 22% of the worldโ€™s nickel reserves, and this policy shift also aimed to attract investment towards the local beneficiation of key minerals in the lithium-ion battery and EV value chain.

โ€œSouth Africa has the worldโ€™s largest reserves of manganese, another strategic mineral in the lithium-ion battery value chain. Co-operation with neighbouring African countries that have strategic mineral reserves is imperative if South Africa aims to develop a local lithium-ion cell manufacturing capacity in the years to come,โ€ he said.

CCP is asserting a dialectic inversion..

Just flip the temporal order of the two instances of 'praxis'.

How to smear and reduce awakening public ('fetters of dialectic' from within US) as smearing China?

How about 'mistakenly' 'allow' a three bus sized 'DATA GATHERING' BLIMP to violate US airspace?

They set up their own pretext antithesis first in time, then the next object is that the CCP SOILS ALL instantiations of response by associating/naming it all under a banner of ''US media, politicians are 'smearing China'.

A dialectic of being both sides of a 'conflict', then same source claims persecution of what would in fact be a justified 'reaction' of receiving that information as what should have a public apology, for an eventual narrative of an objectification of a posturing of authority over the information outside of China's own borders.

U.S. Army tests its first high-energy laser weapon

The high-power laser weapon is meant to be deployed against drones, as well as rockets, artillery, and mortars.

by Tibi Puiu March 4, 2022 in Future, News, Science

The U.S. Army is just a few small steps away from fielding its first combat-ready, high-powered laser weapon. Over the summer, such a weapon was mounted on a Stryker military vehicle and used in tests at Fort Sill, Oklahoma, in a โ€œcombat shoot-offโ€ against a series of possible combat scenarios. The first platoon of four laser-mounted Strykers is expected to join the ranks of the army in early 2022.

โ€œThis is the first combat application of lasers for a maneuver element in the Army,โ€ said Lieutenant General L. Neil Thurgood in a statement to the press.

โ€œThe technology we have today is ready. This is a gateway to the future,โ€ said Thurgood, who is the director for hypersonics, directed energy, space and rapid acquisition.

During the shoot-off, defense contractors Northrop Grumman and Raytheon each brought a 50-kilowatt laser weapon to the field in order to demonstrate short-range air defense (SHORAD) against a series of simulated threats and combat scenarios. These included drones, rockets, artillery, and mortar targets.

Once reserved for science fiction, laser weapons are now a reality โ€” one that will hit hard once these lasers are deployed on the battlefield.

Lasers were first invented in the 1960s, but it was only recently that researchers were able to design a high-power laser system that is small enough to be deployed in a tactical environment, without taking up the entire space of a truck or the airplane.

Designing a laser that is powerful enough to take out a mortar shell from a mile away is a huge engineering challenge. The way it is done is through a technique known as Spectral Beam Combination, whereby multiple outputs of beams are combined into a single high-power beam rather than using a single individual fiber laser.

Lockheedโ€™s ATHENA laser weapon punching a hole in a target vehicle. Credit: Lockheed Martin.

Think of a prism that breaks up a white light beam into the colors of the rainbow. High-power lasers run this process in reverse, combining a bunch of beams that cover different spectrums of electromagnetic energy and outputting a single beam.

Laser weapon development was ramped up in the past decade as a response to the rising threats of armed drones and short-range mortars or rocket barrages. These unguided projectiles canโ€™t be put out of action with sophisticated countermeasures, such as jamming or redirecting. The timeline of a rocket or mortar impact is also very short.

In this rapidly evolving threat landscape, laser weapons suddenly become appealing. For instance, the US Navy has an ongoing program called HELIOS (High Energy Laser and Integrated Optical-dazzler and Surveillance, which aims to install a laser weapon system on a DDG Arleigh Burke class destroyer. The Air Force is currently testing the High Energy Laser Weapon System 2, made by Raytheon Space and Airborne Systems, with the primary goal of disabling enemy drones.

The US Army isnโ€™t sitting idle either. These recent 50 kW trials represent a bold and major step forward in the Armyโ€™s ambitions to deeply laser weapons on the battlefield of the future, where it currently faces a gap in short-range air defense.

Lockheed Indirect Fire Protection Capability-High Energy Laser (IFPC-HEL). Credit: Lockheed Martin.

โ€œOffering lethality against unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) and rockets, artillery and mortars (RAM), laser weapons now increase Army air and missile defense capability while reducing total system lifecycle cost through reduced logistical demand,โ€ the Army said in a statement.

According to Task & Purpose, the Army aims to assemble four battalions of laser-equipped Strykers by 2022. The Army is also working on a monstrously powerful 300 kW Indirect Fires Protection Capability โ€“ High Energy Laser (IFPC-HEL) truck-mounted laser by 2024. The IFPC-HEL truck, currently in development by Lockheed Martin, would be powerful enough to put cruise missiles out of action.

That is somewhat limitedโ€ฆ. although there is a reason why I don't like motherboards with built in wifi controllers. In principle, you could wirelessly 'tickle' a LAN adapterโ€ฆ although I would expect that to be rather novel - being able to both induce a suitable charge on the traces and read a response/simulate a connection remotely would be difficult to realize in practice. If you asked me to slap a device on a computer no one opens, I'd tell you it could be done. If you want me to do it from across the roomโ€ฆ. maybe as a tech demo under controlled conditions to wow the impressionable. From a fucking balloon?โ€ฆ In principle, sure โ€ฆ if you have magic that can teleport a microwave signal to a specific region of space and control it with milimeter accuracy or otherwise account for that need via some self-coupling or correcting factor that someone found and kept in a binder.

If we were talking about old coax cctv or modems - yeah, we could hack the shit out of those remotely. If you have a device with any kind of wireless antenna on it - even without it being properly connected (such as a modern motherboard with the antennas disconnected), there is the possibility it can be convinced to function. Crowdsupply has some awesome open source projects for those who want to play in the radio and microwave realm (โ€ฆ probably a devgru/china lake hangout, as well - it's exactly the kind of stuff those guys do, just with a bit less access to have intel run off some custom projects on research fab nodes when necessary).

It could be as the chinese say - it's a weather balloonโ€ฆ I don't really see much this thing could do over a satellite, except it is below the ionosphere and would get better reception. It also went by a number of military installations - minuteman facilities, whiteman, scott, and stuff on the east coast. Even if it is honestly just a weather balloon - its course is intended to make us ask about it and stir up irritation.

I don't think it's so much about what the balloon was doing as much as it is about prompting a reaction by us.

The davos types have china selected as our successor, because they don't understand why economics makes the U.S. and Russia the world's exclusive superpowers - no other nation can hold the title, and the U.S. has warm water ports in spades.

However, what the proverbial they want is to avoid a war by having China replace the U.S.

There is not exactly a unanimous agreement on this, as the Chinese clearly have their own ideas and Russia has demonstrated the distinction between economics and finance such that the planned destruction of U.S. industry is now a mistake as Russia has been able to tell us "no" and we can't even declare a no-fly zone, much less enforce one or drive tanks through their cities.

The plus side of all of this is that we are seeing more domestic infrastructure spendingโ€ฆ turns out you can't just buy more munitions, you have to actually make them (clearly, part of satan's plot to sabotage the righteous, the concept of matter is). The down side is that these are still gaylord faggots who are in coke-induced delerium surrounded by horse futas โ€ฆ so we'll have to retool the factories to build something other than things straight out of the nuclear code section of hentai.

>Corney or comey?

Speaking of, I noticed something interdastingโ€ฆ

News of the grand jury investigation against Charlie McGonigal leaked mid-September 2022 and guess who magically started tweeting again just days later, after a months-long hiatus? Oh yes, Cornbread himself, looking to get a payoff for moar "books." Better yet, I just noticed, the leaked subpoena document in the Business Insider article is presumably from March 2017, which, if anons remember correctly, is the month Spygate went mainstream, because of POTUS' "wiretapped Trump Tower" tweets and Comey's testimony before Congress (the Gowdy clip Q posted is from this hearing). So you have to wonder, who was poking around FBI-Russia collusion in March 2017 that they were already looking at McGonigal? I think Durham was already on the scene, right? Because Strzok was texting Page about it by April, even before Rosenstein was confirmed. Literally 6 years it took to move on ONE fairly major FBI dude. That's the kind of intricate bullshit we're dealing with here apparently.

Bonus: it was the LA Field Office on Wilshire Boulevard that issued the subpoena kek.

Is probably how it would end, but think if you could get it intact you will find out 100% everything that needs to be known. Water is safe if you don't hit target, anti freeze could give the right freezing properties that a scientist/mathematician could figure out.

Another suggestion is send our own "balloon type" that we control, to TOW it. Maybe get close enough then launch a harpoon like tether and reel it in, close enough that it is more easily controlled. Intact would bring hordes of information. Maybe call Elon he might have suggestions.

>What does it leak?

The SR-71 leaked JP7 jet fuel, a known carcinogen like the JP4 that killed DadAnon:

"The SR-71 used a vintage military specification called MIL-T 38219, or Jet Propellant 7 (JP7 to its friends). Pooling under the Blackbird it was assumed that it had a mechanical flaw. No way, this was planned! The aircraft did not have a traditional fuel bladder. JP7 would dissolve the tank liners that were available and at that time. The six main fuel tanks formed its exterior skin with room for expansion."

Hereโ€™s why the SR-71 Blackbird airframe was designed to leak fuel

More of a sigint and electronics thing. I know more theory than practice, though.

Radio and microwave circuitry basically deals with the fact that even a straight piece of wire has both a capacitance and inductance (albeit, very low). If I have a long enough wire and I "turn it on" - even without it being connected to the the "other side" - just like how current flows into a capacitor without a path to ground, it will flow into a wire. Get to turning it on and off really fast, and you can drive power into a wire that has no complete circuit - itself behaving like an analog tank circuit (LC resonator). Things get a bit weird with geometry, here, as propagation is not in one dimension or two, but threeโ€ฆ which is how waveguides and other fun things work (even antennasโ€ฆ to be honest, there still isn't a really good explanation for antennas โ€ฆ consider, is there a photon exchanged between coils of a transformer - how are these photons radiated and the distincion made between coupled coils and antennas?).

There's a lot more room here for discovery and innovation than many realize, I think. Fewer particle accelerators, more bulk materials and transmission research.

Old coax was pretty simple and is just a microwave transmission line. Modern lan cable is several microwave modems on each line. Modern wifi is even higher frequency microwave with multiple antennas used for additional bandwidth.

In principle, most of the data bus lines in a computer are microwave stripline. They could be readโ€ฆ or, perhaps more accurately, detected. Reading implies getting something intelligible out of them. It might be possible to read individual bus lines from a distance, but that would be at the edge of physics as you'd need to use some crazy means to differentiate between themโ€ฆ like computing the phase angle between a few photons type stuffโ€ฆ which could probably be done in a lab, but might be difficult to realize for anything practical.

>Princess Bajrakitiyabha remains unconcious after heart attack

the sauce:

https://nypost.com/2023/01/08/thailand-princess-bajrakitiyabha-remains-unconscious-weeks-after-collapsing/

the story:

Thailandโ€™s Princess Bajrakitiyabha remained unconscious more than three weeks after collapsing due to a heart problem, a palace statement said in an update on the health of the 44-year-old potential heir to the throne.

The eldest child of Thai King Maha Vajiralongkorn lost consciousness on Dec. 15 due to severe heart arrhythmia resulting from inflammation following a mycoplasma infection, according to a statement issued by the palace late on Saturday.

The princessโ€™s โ€œoverall condition is that she remains unconscious,โ€ the palace said.

โ€œDoctors continue to provide medicine and use equipment to support the functions of the heart, lung and kidney as well as using antibiotics while monitoring her condition closely,โ€ it said.

Princess Bajarakitiyabha fell ill while preparing her dogs for a competition in northeastern Nakhon Ratchasima province, where she was initially treated before being taken by helicopter to Bangkok.

She is one of three children of King Vajiralongkorn who have formal titles, making her eligible for the throne under a palace succession law and the countryโ€™s constitution.

The king has yet to formally designate an heir and there has been no official discussion on the prospect of the princess taking the throne.

Princess Bajarakitiyabha, a trained lawyer with master and doctorate degrees from Cornell University, has served as Thai ambassador to Austria, Slovenia and Slovakia and in roles with the Attorney Generalโ€™s office, the Royal Security Command and as Thai ambassador to the United Nations Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice.

She was born on Dec. 7, 1978. Her mother is the kingโ€™s first wife, Princess Soamsawali.

A friend who has a home school group told me one of her friends Dies suddenly in her sleep. A woman Late 30's devout religious type. I question if she took the vaxx or not. My friend said her homeschool group is split 50% for 50% against which I thought was weird. I think this woman probably thought she was doing the right thing by getting it and now leaves behind a husband and four children ages 3-12. I was trying to tell my friend this will become common unfortunately. The friend I am talking about also has a co worker who is a guy in his 20's who just had two strokes. She is only finally seeing that the vaccine isn't what she thought. I feel bad for the normies, I'll do my best to comfort and protect them.

Trump 2024 Campaign Pledges To Build Missile Defense Shield: "Peace Through Strength"

Posted By Tim Hains

On Date February 2, 2023

Former President Donald Trump introduced a new defense policy plan for his 2024 campaign this week, promising to build "a state-of-the-art, next-generation missile defense shield" to protect the U.S. from hypersonic missiles.

>Let's start by identifying what it is

The supposed Chinese spy balloon looks like an improved/more advanced version of this, It's called the Stratolab. Can go up to 100k ft. It's manned. And the US Navy used it for "experiments": A manned balloon by US personnel would explain why they don't want to shoot it down.

Stratolab gondola

It might look more like something out of a sci-fi movie, but the Stratolab project conducted five flights between 1956 and 1961, with the capsule in the photo above being used for four of those five flights. The flight in 1961 set a manned altitude record of 113,739 feet, a record which stood until 2012.

Stratolab contained two crew members and was used by the US Navy to conduct all kinds of experiments including the detection of cosmic rays and development of space suits.

Trump is using this Chinese Spy balloon fiasco to his narrative advantage masterfully.

The deep state have been spying on and infiltrating our country for decades and now there is a visible red pill floating above America, practically begging the normies to start questioning things.

He says he will have a reformed FBI hunt down spies rather than Republicans and school board moms.

The optics could not be worse for Biden and they couldn't be better for Donald Trump.

Funny thought Michael Baxter was not notable.

A Chinese surveillance ~~balloon~~ BLIMP is floating at a glacial pace over American soil and our โ€œgovernmentโ€ isnโ€™t doing a god damn thing about it.

Itโ€™s not a distraction. Itโ€™s an illustration.
