Judicial Watch Sues for Records of Joint Base Andrews Scuffle Involving Kamala Harris’ Secret Service Detail

Judicial Watch announced today it filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit against the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) for records relating to an incident at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland in which a Secret Service agent assigned to protect Vice President Kamala Harris reportedly got into a scuffle with colleagues (Judicial Watch v. Department of Homeland Security (No. 1:24-cv-01705)).

According to an April 24 report by the Washington Examiner, a Secret Service agent was removed from her duties after physically attacking the commanding agent in charge and other agents who tried to subdue her.

A later report states: “The agents involved in restraining [Michelle] Herczeg were especially concerned because she still had her gun in the holster. They wrestled her to the ground, took the gun from her, cuffed her, and then removed her from the terminal.” The report also states that, following the incident at Joint Base Andrews, which is the home base for Air Force One and Air Force Two:

Secret Service agents and officers are privately questioning the hiring process and whether the agency had adequately screened Herczeg’s background. Some also wonder whether her hire was part of a diversity, equity, and inclusion push in response to years of staff shortages that may have required the agency to lower its once-strict employment standards and physical performance to reach quotas for female agents and officers.

Judicial Watch filed the lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia after DHS failed to respond to an April 25, 2024, FOIA request for:

Prior to the altercation, Herczeg reportedly arrived at Joint Base Andrews “and began acting erratically, grabbing another senior agent’s personal phone and deleting applications on it, according to two sources familiar with the matter. The other agent, a shift leader, was able to recover his phone and then acted as if nothing had happened.”

“The catastrophic security failure behind the attempted assassination of former President Trump shows how the management and quality of Secret Service personnel are urgent issues,” said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. “The Secret Service’s illicit cover-up of these documents about the Kamala Harris protective detail incident is not reassuring.”

In May 2024, Judicial Watch obtained a recording of a phone message left by an FBI special agent for someone at the Secret Service in the context of the raid on President Trump’s home in Mar-a-Lago, Florida.

In February 2024, Judicial Watch received Secret Service records showing Assistant Director Michael Plati ordering his staff not to respond to a request for information from Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s head of security. The documents also confirmed that Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alexander Mayorkas and President Biden both had the discretion to provide Secret Service protection to Kennedy at any time.

In October 2022, Judicial Watch sued the Department of Homeland Security for all communications of the U.S. Secret Service internally and with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) regarding the raid on President Trump’s home and for any video or audio recordings made during the raid on August 8, 2022.

ICAN’s legal team recently obtained records through FOIA showing that the U.S. military sprays dangerous chemicals from airplanes over residential areas. The spraying is usually done at night (when insects are most active), so you likely wouldn’t realize that your home had been sprayed. It’s done by the U.S. Department of Defense (DOD), which has a specialized unit that is dedicated to spraying large areas of land (5,000 acres or more).

According to its website, this military unit “conducts as many as 25 recurring annual missions on 12 military installations in nine states, and in some cases, over communities surrounding these DoD areas.” It uses airplanes that “are specially modified with spray arms and the MASS [Modular Aerial Spray System], which can carry a total of 2,000 gallons of insecticide, herbicide or dispersant. The agent is then disbursed out of spray bars under each wing, in 30-micron droplets.”

The documents also include the unit’s flight records which show where these military planes systematically sprayed, including large, populated areas in Texas, Louisiana, Virginia, Parris Island in South Carolina, and the City of Burlington in North Dakota, just to name a few.

''The records also show that the pesticides killed mosquitos that were inside boxes inside of buildings''. Incredibly, one flight path shows the planes intentionally avoided spraying areas with bald eagle nests. So, if the chemicals being sprayed are too dangerous for baby eagles, how are they affecting us?

These documents further reveal that the unit has sprayed more than 20 chemicals, mostly containing the highly toxic organophosphate pesticide Naled, which kills insects by destroying their central nervous system.

In humans, symptoms of pesticide poisoning include headaches, muscle twitching, nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, respiratory depression, seizures (especially in children), and loss of consciousness. Frighteningly, even if you don’t live in areas being sprayed, you may be exposed to Naled through your food, drinking water, and even clothing. In June 2020, the EPA recognized that food and drinking water are “anticipated exposure pathways” because Naled is sprayed on crops (almonds, broccoli, grapes, strawberries, cotton, and more), used in public pest control measures, and reaches groundwater sources of drinking water.

On Friday we told you that AT&T customers were the victims of another data breach after the one in April that impacted 71 million subscribers. This time, the hacking involved customer data stored with third-party cloud platform Snowflake. The latter has not done a good job lately of protecting the data entrusted to it since companies using Snowflake, such as Ticketmaster, Neiman Marcus, Santander, and others, also had their accounts hacked and data stolen.

The data belonging to AT&T stolen from Snowflake includes records of customer calls and texts. The hackers stole the records between April 14 and April 25 of this year and the info stolen included data generated by calls and texts made from May 1 to Oct. 31, 2022, including the phone numbers involved and the duration of the calls. That data plus cell site identification numbers from the day of Jan. 2, 2023, were also taken.

We now know that AT&T ended up paying one of the hackers involved in the data breach a ransom of 5.7 bitcoins valued at over $370,000 to delete the stolen records. The carrier was given a video of the deletion taking place as proof that it was done. A new report points out that the data breach affected not just AT&T customers, but also customers of mobile virtual network operators (MVNOs) who use AT&T's network since they don't have one of their own. These companies include Boost Mobile, Cricket Wireless, H2O, and Straight Talk Wireless.

While AT&T told me Sunday evening that they believe the data swiped from Snowflake is no longer publicly available (which would be due to the more than $370,000 paid to one of the hackers to have the files deleted), experts warned that the data from January 2nd, 2023, which included cell site identification numbers, could have been used to compute customer addresses based on the triangulation of data.

It would be impossible for an escaping shooter to take time to dismantle such a zip line from the top of the tower, while absconding from the scene.

Additionally, even the most lax security team would surely have at least looked around that tower.

The setup of such a zip line would require the line climbed up the tower and then attached to a solid point at ground level, so climb down again, it would need to be rather long so as to provide a survivable decent angle. Janeen DiGuiseppi Named Assistant Director of the FBI's Insider Threat Office

Director Christopher Wray has named Janeen DiGuiseppi as the assistant director of the Insider Threat Office at FBI Headquarters in Washington, D.C. Most recently, Ms. DiGuiseppi was the special agent in charge of the Albany Field Office in New York.

Ms. DiGuiseppi joined the FBI as a special agent in 1999 and was first assigned to the Salt Lake City Field Office, where she worked violent crime, drug, and public corruption violations.

In 2008, Ms. DiGuiseppi was promoted to assistant legal attaché in Baghdad and supervised the FBI’s Major Crimes Task Force. She returned to Salt Lake City in 2009 and was assigned to the Drug Enforcement Administration's Drug Diversion Task Force until she was promoted to supervisory special agent in 2010 as the FBI’s biometric lead in Kabul, Afghanistan.

Ms. DiGuiseppi was assigned to the Memphis Field Office in Tennessee in 2012, where she supervised the civil rights and public corruption programs and the Violent Crimes Against Children/Child Exploitation Task Force.

In 2014, she was promoted to assistant section chief of the Public Corruption and Civil Rights Section in the Criminal Investigative Division at FBI Headquarters in Washington, D.C. In 2016, she was named assistant section chief of the Transnational Organized Crime - Eastern Hemisphere Section, where she managed organized crime and major theft programs.

Ms. DiGuiseppi was named assistant special agent in charge of the Denver Field Office in 2017, with oversight of the intelligence and surveillance programs and Wyoming resident agencies.

In 2019, Ms. DiGuiseppi was selected as section chief of the FBI Training Division’s Curriculum Management Section and promoted to deputy assistant director in 2020. In 2021, Ms. DiGuiseppi was promoted to special agent in charge of the Albany Field Office in New York.

Ms. DiGuiseppi earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Central Florida, a master’s degree from Western New England College, and a master’s degree from Florida International University. Prior to joining the Bureau, Ms. DiGuiseppi served as an officer in the United States Air Force.

you need to know how to go into the computer setup screen and enable boot from USB but I assume that's not an issue for you.

the other thing: ALWAYS keep your home/ area seperate from the root drive or you will have issues later on. (don't use just on giant partition)

so what that means is that you need to understand what various partitions you need.

you need a root partition

you need a boot partition

you need to install a boot loader

you need a home partition.

You might even want a bunch of home paritions and other various partitions to run servers.

the worst mistake you can make is to just use all of a giant harddrive to load home and root into one giant partition. It will not be easy to migrate later.

another important thing: always have a backup computer or too.

learn how to boot to runlevel 3 so you can fix issues if the windowing manager or the video driver don't work.

It's not too steep a learning curve, I've been doing it for over twenty years.

We need the iron dome before they unleash the Sampson option against us.

Mohamed Mohamed el-Amir Awad el-Sayed Atta (Arabic: ; 1 September 1968 – 11 September 2001) was an Egyptian terrorist hijacker for al-Qaeda. Ideologically a pan-Islamist, he was the ringleader of the September 11 attacks and served as the hijacker-pilot of American Airlines Flight 11, which he crashed into the North Tower of the World Trade Center as part of the coordinated suicide attacks. Aged 33, he was the oldest of the 19 hijackers who took part in the mission.

Born and raised in Egypt, Mohamed Atta studied architecture at Cairo University, graduating in 1990, and pursued postgraduate studies in Germany at the Hamburg University of Technology. In Hamburg, Atta became involved with the al-Quds Mosque where he met Marwan al-Shehhi, Ramzi bin al-Shibh, and Ziad Jarrah, together forming the Hamburg cell. Atta disappeared from Germany for periods of time, embarking on the hajj in 1995 but also meeting Osama bin Laden and other top al-Qaeda leaders in Afghanistan from late 1999 to early 2000. Atta and the other Hamburg cell members were recruited by bin Laden and Khalid Sheikh Mohammed for a "planes operation" in the United States.

Atta returned to Hamburg in February 2000 and began inquiring about flight training in the United States, where he, Jarrah, and al-Shehhi arrived in June to learn how to pilot planes, obtaining instrument ratings in November. Beginning in May 2001, Atta assisted with the arrival of the "muscle" hijackers whose role was to subdue passengers and crew to enable the hijacker-pilots to take over. In July, Atta traveled to Spain to meet with bin al-Shibh to finalize the plot, then in August traveled as a passenger on "surveillance" flights to establish in detail how the attacks could be carried out.

On the morning of 11 September 2001, Atta and his team boarded and hijacked American Airlines Flight 11, which Atta crashed into 1 World Trade Center (the North Tower). More than 1,600 people died as a result of the crash, ensuing fire, and subsequent collapse of the tower, making him responsible for the single deadliest air crash of all time, as well as the single deadliest terrorist attack of all time.

For a while, Mitaniya attempted to secure cash by selling stores and other property holdings. But it ultimately decided to fold as utility and wholesale costs rose.

"With the recent inflation hurting cash flow at suppliers and customers, it has become harder to leverage longtime ties to negotiate on prices," said Kaitaro Asahi at Teikoku Databank. Older companies are expected to continue facing headwinds as larger, cash-rich rivals expand their market share on cheap prices and stable supply.

Japan was home to 43,631 companies over 100 years old as of September 2023, according to Teikoku Databank. Around 2,000 join the club each year.
