Araghchi, posting on X, appeared to reference a report citing the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), writing: "Like clockwork, more Very Scary Satellite Images are being circulated as Iran-US indirect nuclear talks are set to resume."

The NCRI is recognized as diplomatic wing of the Mojahedin-e-Khalq (MeK). It is designated as a terrorist organization by Iran due to its past involvement in violent attacks and was considered a terrorist organization by the U.S. until its delisting in 2012.

Drone strikes hit Port Sudan for a sixth consecutive day on Friday, an army source said, blaming the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF), which have been at war with Sudan’s regular army since April 2023.

“Our air defences intercepted some of the enemy drones which were targeting sites in the city,” the source said, speaking on condition of anonymity.

Witnesses reported strikes across Port Sudan, the seat of the army-backed government and the country’s main humanitarian aid hub.

The city, long seen as a relative safe haven from the devastating conflict, has come under daily drone attacks since Sunday.

The strikes have damaged several key facilities, including Sudan’s sole international airport, its largest functioning fuel depot, and the city's main power station.

Port Sudan serves as the primary entry point for humanitarian aid into the country.

UN Secretary-General António Guterres warned the attacks “threaten to increase humanitarian needs and further complicate aid operations,” his spokesman said.

More than two years of fighting between the army and the RSF have killed tens of thousands of people and uprooted 13 million, in what the United Nations describes as the world’s worst humanitarian crisis.

In posts on X, the primary social media platform for the anti-vaccine movement, some vocal allies of Kennedy’s said the selection shows he lacks influence in the Trump administration.

“Honestly for me it was quite unexpected, but I think it also just goes to show how nebulous or undefined MAHA is,” Spencer said. “It’s a year old and it includes under a tent people who have been working for decades on things like organic foods, wellness influencers, as well as people whose main [belief] is mRNA vaccines are the devil and they are killing people.”

Casey Means has made critical comments about vaccines, including suggesting the dozens of shots recommended in the childhood immunization schedule can harm children.

MAHA influencers focused on food cheered Means’s nomination.

“Dr. Means knows that food is medicine and there couldn’t be a better nomination for this position at HHS,” food blogger Vani Hari posted on her Instagram Stories.

Means also drew praise from prominent conservatives.

“It’s a radical mindset change to acknowledge that our way of life has led us to our health crisis and that big changes need to be made to our habits. Casey has calmly, factually and accurately communicated correlation and causation and opened more people’s eyes to this reality than anyone I can think of,” Liz Wheeler, a conservative media figure who had blasted Nesheiwat, posted on X.

Trump has elevated critics of coronavirus vaccines to important roles in federal health agencies, and Kennedy has challenged long-standing vaccination policies. But Trump appointees’ criticism usually concerns vaccine mandates and administering the shots to children, rather than trying to remove them from the market, as some anti-vaccine supporters of Kennedy have sought.

Before joining the Cabinet, Kennedy straddled the food and vaccine branches of MAHA. But his statement in support of Means focused on metabolic disorders and the nation’s food.

Spencer and Smith also said it was striking that critics of Means emphasized that she did not complete her residency in surgery (which she attributed to disillusionment with the health-care system’s failure to focus on prevention) and her medical license in Oregon is currently inactive. Others in the movement who have been scrutinized by medical regulators or have lesser credentials have not received the same treatment, they said.

“The attacks that Casey is unqualified because she left the medical system completely miss the point of what we are trying to accomplish with MAHA,” Kennedy posted Thursday. “Casey is the perfect choice for Surgeon General precisely because she left the traditional medical system — not in spite of it.”

A former adviser to the Vatican and U.S. Jesuit headquarters believes the newly elected Pope Leo XIV will lead the Catholic Church in disclosing information about extraterrestrial life, potentially transforming humanity’s understanding of its place in the universe.

“I think that he is going to be the disclosure pope,” Daniel Sheehan, an attorney who once served as general counsel to the U.S. Jesuit headquarters in Washington, said Thursday on NewsNation’s “Banfield.”

The church’s revelation will come “in the same way that we are going to have a disclosure of what the American government knows about this in the next handful of years,” Sheehan said.

Sheehan’s comments come as Cardinal Robert Prevost, who holds U.S. and Peruvian citizenship, was elected pope, taking the name Leo XIV.

The choice of name has sparked speculation, as the last Pope Leo established the Vatican Observatory in the late 19th century, cementing the church’s interest in astronomy.

According to Sheehan, President Jimmy Carter tasked him in the 1970s with contacting the Vatican about UFO information after Carter’s own UFO sighting while serving as Georgia’s governor.

Sheehan said Carter sought Vatican files after then-CIA Director George H.W. Bush refused to brief the president-elect on the subject, claiming Carter “had no need to know.”

Sheehan, who now heads the New Paradigm Institute focused on UFO phenomena, said he believes Pope Leo XIV wants “to bring together science and theology to be able to bring the Catholic Church into the 21st century so we can begin to adjust the institutions of our planet to cope with the reality that there’s an extraterrestrial nonhuman civilization.”

When asked whether revelations about alien life would contradict church teachings, Sheehan said it would instead align with deeper theological concepts about human consciousness and capabilities.

He referenced a 2009 Vatican statement acknowledging the likelihood of discovering extraterrestrial life and the need for philosophical and theological discussion about its implications.

“The people that are listening to this program are going to be alive when this disclosure is made, not only by the United States government, but by the Vatican and by the leaders of the Jewish faith, and in the Hebrew, the Hindu faith, the Buddhist faith,” Sheehan said.

He also addressed congressional testimony by former intelligence official David Grusch about alleged U.S. government retrieval of “nonhuman” craft and bodies, saying over 40 classified experts have provided similar testimony to the Senate Intelligence Committee.

Sheehan will participate in a hearing next week with the chair of the Task Force on the Declassification of Federal Secrets.

I really did not want to write this. However after careful discussion with colleagues, I am going to go with what my gut tells I should do. I cannot sit on the sidelines while I observe the UAP field / narrative get filled with half-truths and obfuscations.

In this post, I will be providing evidence of documents that cannot be FOIA’d. I’ll even give my perspective on Anti-Gravity and the overall landscape of the current UAP field when it comes to intelligence agents that are masquerading as “truthers”.

What I speak on is based on my own experiences and observations from being in the field for almost four decades.

I have a degree in electrical engineering from a college somewhere in the South of the USA.

I will not say the name of the school because it will be very easy for people inside DoD to track me down if I give away too much considering not many were recruited from the college that I graduated from.

I was recruited shortly out of college to work in black operations, specifically on the electrical engineering microelectronics & pulsed power side.

These black programs do not necessarily care about your academic credentials as much as they are about two things: Can you think outside of the box, and can you shut the f*ck up about it.

I do not know everything, but the things I am sure of, I will write about here. Why am I doing this now?

Because I was given 8 months to live and I will do what I can while alive to try and make a positive impact in the community.

I sometimes cannot sleep seeing some of the blatant lies being fed to the community.

Let me put this bluntly before I get into the anti gravity and tech:

Jay Stratton and Lue Elizondo are one of the reasons that various inventors’ ZPE (zero point energy) devices have never seen the light of day.

They have been personally responsible for destroying careers, families, and the mental well-being of various physicists and engineers over many decades.

Lue used to be a counter intel agent for more than one WUSAP (Waived Unacknowledged Special Access Program) and did NOT get involved in the subject “by chance”. He and Stratton were involved long before the whole AATIP/AAWSAP saga.

Lue is not a bad person at heart, but it makes you wonder WHY he has done what he’s done in order to destroy others.

I know many of you may judge this statement and think that I am defending him, but there ARE many good things that he has done in this field as well that many people likely will never know about.

With that said, he is definitely compromised in terms of putting USA NAT SEC above all else, and that is a concern at this point.

It is a concern because the DoD has long been infiltrated with war-mongers and profiteering cranks that want to keep all of this tech and knowledge silent for the sake of their own self-preservation.

I gave him the benefit of the doubt at first, but this is getting to the point of blatant stupidity. To a very small extent, I don’t blame them.

However, to hide this from humanity is becoming more of a curse than anything else. People have the right to know.

Jay Stratton, however, is a real scummy person. Don’t get me started on the shit that guy has done to some of my colleagues. I have zero sympathy for that man.

Sean Kirkpatrick is a pawn. He lies through his teeth like Ron Pandolfi has and does. To add, please do not ask me about Jack Sarfatti. He is considered a laughing stock to those involved in various programs.

Also, there are just over 2000 Legacy Programs working on reverse-engineering UAP. Hal Puthoff recently said on Joe Rogan that we have “more than ten” recovered craft in the USA. The number is in the hundreds. At a minimum.

Jeremy Corbell is a useful idiot in many cases. Some of what he releases is accurate, but when he says that us humans “cannot replicate or understand any propulsion systems” that craft use, or whatever nonsense he spews, is a blatant lie.

Let me say now: please do not ask me about Immaculate Constellation because I know nothing of any of those alleged specified programs.

I am an electrical engineer, not a spy. However, being in this field, you pick up tradecraft methods and learn how to ‘run with the wolves’ so to speak.

There is a difference between gravitational shielding/repulsion and actually generating HFGW (High Frequency Gravitational Waves).

The pursuit of Tomas Townsend Brown is exactly where people should be looking. Zero Point Energy manipulation has to do with the EM Vector Potential. That is as far as I will go on that.

I was involved in a project that utilized Tesla Turbines, Plasma Toroid chambers, Microwaves, Crystals, extremely strong Rotating Magnets, and various other obtainable components that generated many kilowatts of gravitational waves (or “gravitons” as some call it) in a private BaE Lab. The total cost of the project was just under 3 million USD to build the gravity generator. It can and has been done time and time again, successfully. Gravitational waves are measured electromagnetically due to it being a consequence of the curvature of spacetime itself.

Meta Materials are not needed to generate macroscopic proof of concept gravitational phenomena. Plain and simple.

You will notice in some of the files I am showing that the Soviets coined a term called “rotational gravitation” and believed that rotating masses acted as emitters and receivers of gravitational waves.

I am not going to argue with those in the comments that say this isn’t possible, & I’m not going to argue with idiots that don’t know how to think outside of the box.

Scientists studying spherical UFO say they've discovered alien technology

Scientists have released the first X-ray images of a mysterious, sphere-shaped object recovered in Colombia, which locals claim is of alien origin.

The so-called 'UFO' was spotted in March over the town of Buga, zig-zagging through the sky in a way that defies the movement of conventional aircraft.

The object was recovered shortly after it landed and has since been analyzed by scientists, who discovered it features three layers of metal-like material and 18 microspheres surrounding a central nucleus they are calling 'a chip.'

Dr Jose Luis Velazquez, a radiologist who examined the sphere, reported finding 'no welds or joints,' which would typically indicate human fabrication.

He and his team concluded: 'It is of artificial origin, in that it shows no evidence of welding, and its internal structure is composed of high-density elements. More testing is needed to establish its origin.'

The sphere also displays symbols that the team compared to ancient scripts, including runes, Ogham and Mesopotamian writing systems.

Using AI to assist in deciphering the design, the team interpreted the message to read: 'The origin of birth through union and energy in the cycle of transformation, meeting point of unity, expansion, and consciousness—individual consciousness.'

'We interpret it as a message to humanity, encouraging a collective shift in consciousness to help Mother Earth—especially considering the current issues with pollution and environmental decline,' the researchers said.

The object was recovered on March 2 by a group of people, who said it weighed about four and a half pounds and had 'the temperature of a refrigerator' when touched.

David Velez el Potro, one of the individuals who recovered the object, recently spoke on Maussan Television hosted by journalist and ufologist Jaime Maussan, whose research has stirred controversy for nearly a decade.

Maussan gained attention in 2017 when he claimed to have discovered alien mummies in Peru—findings that remain unconfirmed.

But Velez el Potro has claimed that the sphere is authentic, found in the woods of Buga.

He told Maussan that the man who found it, Jose, felt sick for days after touching the object.

'When I poured water on it, it started to smoke and the water vaporized instantly,' Velez el Potro added, suggesting the interior was hot and exterior cold.

However, there are no official reports or or scientific analysis to confirm claims of a sphere falling over Buga. Only eyewitness reports.

Velez el Potro said the government contacted him to hand it over the sphere, but he refused, saying, 'It would never be seen again.'

So he gave it to Maussan and his team of experts with hopes of them uncovering the sphere's origin.

Researchers found that the sphere had irregular edges, 'indicating that it is a solid object.'

The outer layer appeared to be the densest—comparable to human bone.

'The center of the sphere shows a lower radio-acoustic density than the edge, indicating an internal structure that may be more porous or composed of less dense material than the outer shell,' said Nacho Rojo, host of the YouTube channel Hidden Truth, during the interview with Maussan.

The findings suggest that the outer layer could be made of titanium or steel, but researchers noted that a full composition analysis is needed to confirm this.

X-rays also revealed 18 small dots within the center of the object, arranged in what appeared to be a non-random pattern.

The team speculated that the 18 points could be sensors, bolts or fragments of microspheres.

'Obviously, we don't know the composition or how it was manufactured, but it appears to be an object intentionally built to house these small metallic components internally,' Rojo said, referring to insights shared during the X-ray analysis.

Scientists are currently referring to the 18 points as 'a chip' due to their precise arrangement and location within the sphere.

'The symmetry suggests advanced technology or deliberate engineering,' Rojo added. He also noted, 'These 18 points show no signs of fracture, meaning the object remains structurally intact.'

X-rays revealed that the points extend approximately 0.5 centimeters into the interior of the sphere.

Additionally, the team observed a central band composed of a different material, which contained more small spheres. They believe these may have been placed inside before the object was sealed.

However, the X-rays did not reveal any visible signs of assembly techniques.

Florida Passes Bill To Ban, Criminalize Geoengineering

The bill, which makes it a third-degree felony to release any chemical, substance or apparatus into Florida’s atmosphere to affect the weather or climate, has cleared both the House and the Senate and awaits Gov. Ron DeSantis’ signature.

The Florida House of Representatives last week passed a bill to ban and criminalize geoengineering and weather modification, Newsweek reported.

The bill makes it a third-degree felony to release any chemical, substance or apparatus into Florida’s atmosphere to affect the weather or climate.

It imposes a penalty of up to $100,000 for any person or corporation and up to $5,000 and five years in prison for an aircraft controller or pilot involved in such releases.

It also requires Florida’s Department of Environmental Protection to develop protocols to investigate reports of geoengineering and directs the department to send the reports to other state agencies, including the health department, when appropriate.

The bill has cleared both the House and the Senate and awaits Gov. Ron DeSantis’ signature.

“There is a lot of unauthorized activity that is currently not regulated, both at a federal and a state level, and this is where we wanted to start,” Sen. Ileana Garcia, who introduced the bill, told members of the Senate.

GreenMedInfo’s Sayer Ji praised the bill on his Substack. “Florida has drawn a bright line in the sky: It will not allow corporate interests, climate interventionists, or covert operations to tamper with its atmosphere or pollute its environment.”

Since the bill was introduced, the Florida Legislature has received more than 100,000 emails demanding action on geoengineering, Ji reported.

Health Freedom advocacy organizations, including Stand for Health Freedom supported the bill, arguing that such practices “endanger human health and safety and the environment; threaten air, water, soil, and wildlife resources; disrupt agricultural operations; and potentially interfere with aviation, state security, and the economy of the Commonwealth.”

Rep. Kevin Steele introduced the bill in the House. Neither of the bill’s sponsors immediately responded to The Defender’s request for comment.

ROME — Secretary of State Mike Pompeo recently published a sharp letter excoriating the Vatican’s plans to renew an agreement with the Chinese government on Church operations in China. He promoted the article in a tweet, concluding, “The Vatican endangers its moral authority, should it renew the deal.”

An indignant Vatican took the article more as a calculated affront than a diplomatic gesture. The friction broke into the open on Wednesday as Mr. Pompeo arrived in Rome and met with prelates and others who are hostile to Pope Francis, while the Vatican denied him a meeting with the pontiff and rebuffed his efforts to derail the deal with China.

“Pompeo asked to meet” the pope, who turned him down because Francis had “clearly said that he does not receive political figures ahead of the elections,” Cardinal Pietro Parolin, who, as secretary of state, is the Vatican’s second-ranking official, told reporters.

But to some observers on both sides of the tensions between the Roman Catholic Church and the Trump administration, Mr. Pompeo’s visit is as much about the coming presidential election as about China policy. Mr. Pompeo dismissed that suggestion as absurd, but intended or not, his trip signals that President Trump is on the side of those conservative American Catholics who worry about the church’s direction under Francis and think he is soft on China.

Francis and Mr. Trump, who have exchanged sharp words in the past, present starkly different visions on issues ranging from the environment to immigration to the threat of populism. In appealing to the Vatican’s support for religious freedom as a reason to drop its China agreement, Mr. Pompeo seemed to seek common ground, but in a way that upset the pope’s chief allies and delighted his chief critics.

Cardinal Parolin said Mr. Pompeo’s article had caused “surprise” at the Vatican, because this visit to Rome by the secretary and the meetings with high officials at the Holy See had already been in the works and would have been a “more opportune” forum for airing grievances. FEMA Chief Gets Canned After Contradicting Noem On Future Of Agency

Cameron Hamilton, senior official performing the duties of the administrator of the Federal Emergency Management Agency, was terminated Wednesday after defending the continuation of FEMA’s existence.

Democratic Rep. Rosa DeLauro of Connecticut asked Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem about the future of FEMA in an oversight hearing Tuesday with the House Appropriations Committee. Noem responded that “FEMA as it exists today should be eliminated.”

DeLauro, unsatisfied with Noem’s answer, calling it “confusing and inadequate,” put Hamilton on the spot by asking for a “clear answer.”

“I do not believe it is in the best interest of the American people to eliminate the Federal Emergency Management Agency,” Hamilton responded.

Hamilton followed up by saying FEMA’s future “is a conversation that should be had between the president of the United States and this governing body.”

The next day, Hamilton was fired under the direction of Noem, Reuters reported Thursday.

The dissonance in Noem’s and Hamilton’s statements seems to hinge on the interpretation of what she meant by “as it exists today.”

In the hearing, Hamilton said the reason he was hired was to “refocus this organization in order to better serve the American people under President Trump’s mandate.”

Steve Witkoff Ahead of Round 4 of Talks: Iran Has Agreed ‘They Don’t Want’ Nuclear Weapon

Senior adviser and assistant to the president Steve Witkoff told Breitbart News exclusively that the government of Iran has told him that the Iranians have agreed they do not want a nuclear weapon.

They have no enrichment capability at this place and if we take them at their word why not just turn all the rest of their facilities just like Bushehr? That means dismantlement, it means no weaponization, and it means that Natanz, Fordow, and Isfahan—those are their three enrichment facilities—have to be dismantled.”

Asked if an eventual deal with the Iranians would look like former President Barack Obama’s failed Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) or if it would be a tougher deal, Witkoff said the Iranians are in a “more vulnerable” position than they were a decade ago during JCPOA negotiations and therefore any eventual deal will be much stronger.

Trump Cut Off Contact With Netanyahu Over 'Manipulation' Concerns, Israeli Reporter Claims

This is the moment Donald Trump became president (at least if this report is true).

US President Donald Trump has decided to cut off direct contact with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, a report said Thursday.

Yanir Cozin, a correspondent for Israeli Army Radio, said in a post on his X account that Trump made the decision after close associates told Israeli Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer that the president believes that Netanyahu is manipulating him.

An Israeli official added that Dermer’s tone during recent discussions with senior Republican figures about what Trump should do was seen as arrogant and unhelpful.

This might just be a bait and switch to get Iran to take its guard down but with the deal Trump announced with the Houthis (and his praising their "bravery" in withstanding the US's attacks) it's possible we may actually be on the precipice of a sea change.

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) says the mystery seeds appear to be part of a global “brushing scam,” which happens when your name and mailbox are used as props in a fake purchase.

In a brushing scam, a shady company will pay itself for an online order, send an unsolicited package to you as cover and post a fake positive review online in your name — all to get a boost in search results for online stores like Amazon (better reviews = higher search rankings and potentially more business). If Amazon tries to verify the review, the scammer then uses the mail tracking number from the fake order to “prove” that a purchase and delivery were made.

Brushing scams can involve more than just seeds. In fact, the Better Business Bureau (BBB) reports people have received a number of other items in unmarked packages lately, ranging from ping pong balls to masks. However, the mystery seeds seem to be popping up the most.

What to do if you receive mystery seeds:

Anderson Couple Sentenced to Combined 75 Years in Federal Prison for Sexually Exploiting Infant

Jamie M. Powell, a/k/a Jamie Cramer, 44, and Richard Smith, 42, both of Anderson, Indiana, have been sentenced for their roles in a conspiracy to sexually exploit a minor.

Powell has been sentenced to 25 years in federal prison followed by a lifetime of supervised release after pleading guilty to conspiracy to commit the sexual exploitation of a minor as well as actual and attempted sexual exploitation of a minor. Powell must also pay $10,000 in restitution.

Richard Smith has been sentenced to 50 years in federal prison, followed by a lifetime of supervised release after pleading guilty to conspiracy to commit the sexual exploitation of a minor and possession of child sexual abuse material. Smith must also pay $10,000 in restitution. His federal sentence was ordered to be served consecutively to his state convictions for Dealing in Methamphetamine, Possession of Methamphetamine, and Battery with Bodily Injury to a Public Safety Officer, for which he received concurrent sentences of 16-, 5-, and 4-years imprisonment.

According to court documents, Powell is the mother of five children, including Minor Victim 1, who was between one and two years old at the time of the offense. In early 2020, the Department of Child Services (DCS) filed to terminate Powell’s parental rights. Powell relocated to an apartment in Anderson, with three of her children and her boyfriend, Richard Smith. Powell’s youngest children, Minor Victim 1 and Minor Witness 1 were in DCS Custody.

Between late 2020 and early 2021, Powell and Smith discussed Smith’s sexual interest in Powell’s children and in bestiality over text messages. In those messages, the couple agreed for Powell to molest Minor Victim 1 and produce sexually explicit photos and videos of the child to send to Smith. The messages also contained extremely graphic and crude requests from Smith detailing how he wanted Powell to abuse the minor.

Throughout this time period, Powell was permitted to have supervised visitation with two of her children, including Minor Victim 1. During these court-ordered visitations, Powell waited until supervisors were not looking to record sexually explicit videos and images of the child, attempting to evade suspicion by pretending to change her diaper. In total, over 25 visits, Powell produced 577 images and videos of child sexual abuse of Minor Victim 1 and shared 486 of them with Smith.

Investigators located over 2,400 image files of child sex abuse material and approximately 170 video files of bestiality on Powell’s cell phone. On Smith’s cell phone, investigators found more than 5,000 images and videos of child sex abuse material.

Federal Jury Convicts Man of Murder and First-Degree Child Abuse of a Toddler

Acting U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Michigan Andrew Byerly Birge announced that a federal jury convicted Eugene Walter-George Rantanen, (37, L’Anse, Michigan) of murder and first-degree child abuse. Rantanen is scheduled to be sentenced this fall.

On February 19, 2024, a nineteen-month-old toddler became unresponsive while in the sole custody of Rantanen, while the two were inside the L’Anse Reservation of the Keweenaw Bay Indian Community. After extensive medical intervention, the child succumbed to the injuries and died on February 24, 2024. Based on the medical examiner’s testimony at trial, the toddler had suffered blunt force trauma to the head, which caused significant injuries to the brain. Based on government-witness testimony at trial, the only plausible explanation for the toddler’s injuries was that Rantanen caused the severe brain injuries.

“Any time a child dies, it is a tragedy. But it is particularly tragic when a caretaker causes the death,” said Acting U.S. Attorney Birge. “My office will hold individuals like Rantanen accountable for their violent crimes whenever it can.”

“This conviction confirms that Eugene Rantanen will no longer pose a threat to anyone, especially our children,” said Cheyvoryea Gibson, Special Agent in Charge of the FBI in Michigan. “This outcome results from a thorough and cooperative investigation with the Keweenaw Bay Indian Community Tribal Police, the Village of L'Anse Police, the Baraga County Sheriff's Office, the Michigan State Police, and the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Western District of Michigan. India-Pakistan Fighting Suddenly Escalates To Most Expansive In Decades

Friday has seen the border conflict between India and Pakistan escalate once again, with The New York Times describing that it has escalated to the most expansive military clashes in decades. Entire large expanses of border zones are swarming with drones overhead - a first in the history of the long-running rivalry.

"There were reports of nonstop barrages along the border overnight into Friday, as well as reports of attacks by Pakistan into the Indian city of Jammu, a part of Kashmir," the Times report says, citing that drone attacks have been exchanged along India's entire western border.

Pakistan has rejected Indian Army claims that all drone attacks into India have been intercepted. There's been days of a 'fog of war' environment in which it's been impossible for outside media to verify each claim and counter-claim.

NYT further observes:

India’s defense officials said Pakistan’s military had attempted aerial intrusions in 36 locations with "300 to 400" drones to test India’s air defense system. The officials said they had identified the drones as made in Turkey.

And more troop losses have been reported, after Pakistan claimed up to 50 Indian droops had died in the last day of fighting. Indian defense officials said their forces had suffered "some losses and injuries" last night, a Times correspondent says Friday.

According to more, "Artillery in the disputed region of Kashmir has been ferocious, and dozens of civilians have been reported killed on both sides of the boundary."

New Jersey Mayor Ras Baraka arrested at ICE facility

NEWARK, New Jersey — The mayor of New Jersey’s largest city and a Democratic candidate for governor was handcuffed and detained by federal officials on Friday at a protest of an ICE facility following a scrum involving three members of Congress seeking a tour of the facility.

It was unclear if the mayor, Ras Baraka, was being formally arrested or exactly where he was after he was handcuffed Friday afternoon.

The arrest followed a chaotic scene in the facility’s parking lot involving protestors, federal law enforcement officers and the three membersReps. Bonnie Watson Coleman, Rob Menendez and LaMonica McIverat Delaney Hall. The Trump administration reopened the 1,00-bed facility this month to house migrants amid a lawsuit from the city against the private operator, GEO Group, alleging it does not have the proper inspections and permits. GEO group has denied that allegation.

The interim U.S. Attorney for New Jersey, Alina Habba, confirmed that Baraka was detained.

"The Mayor of Newark, Ras Baraka, committed trespass and ignored multiple warnings from Homeland Security Investigations to remove himself from the ICE detention center in Newark, New Jersey this afternoon," she wrote on X. "He has willingly chosen to disregard the law. That will not stand in this state. He has been taken into custody. NO ONE IS ABOVE THE LAW."

The detention unfolded after Baraka, who is also running for governor, was apparently allowed inside a fenced parking lot at the facility and then later told to leave.

The three House members had been inside the facility and then came out with officers wearing gear that identified them variously as federal police, ICE and homeland security personnel. At one point, the three Democratic members, who had been seeking a tour of the facility, came out as authorities threatened to arrest Baraka. They all exited to a parking lot outside the fence where protesters had gathered.

The three members then reentered the fenced area, but Menendez quickly came back and warned Baraka that the authorities still wanted to arrest Baraka. When Menendez came to warn Baraka, he looked through the fence and told the mayor, "They are talking about coming out to arrest you."

The law enforcement officials all came out, setting off a scrum, with Baraka and Watson Coleman in the middle. The group all then reentered into the fenced-in area as Baraka was handcuffed and detained. The three members of Congress continued to be inside the secure area of the facility and ICE officials did not responded to shouted questions about Baraka’s status. Protestors on the scene, which included members of the SEIU union, were moving to the field office because they believe the mayor is being held there.

The former Marine combat leader who is now leading FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) told staff Friday that if they attempted to obstruct his plans for the agency, he would "run right over" them.

USA Today reported the call from FEMA Administrator David Richardson to all staff included references to his service and experience dealing with people who don't follow orders.

"I, and I alone in FEMA, speak for FEMA," Richardson reportedly said. "I'm here to carry out the president's intent for FEMA."

Richardson told staff during the call that when experiencing change, as many as 20% of staff in an organization will attempt to resist. He suggested that won't work with him.

"Obfuscation, delay, undermining. If you're one of those 20% of people," said Richardson, "and you think those tactics and techniques are going to help you, they will not, because I will run right over you."

With added emphasis, he said, "Don't get in my way – I know all the tricks."

Richardson's comments undoubtedly came across as a stark reminder to FEMA staff that streamlining, if not total closure of the agency, is at hand.

The Trump administration has targeted FEMA as an agency whose functions are better carried out by individual states.

Richardson reminded staff of that policy. "We're going to find out how to push things down to the states that should be done at state level."

As many as 2,000 FEMA employees have reportedly been fired or accepted termination offers since President Donald Trump was inaugurated in January.

Newark Mayor Ras Baraka was arrested Friday at an ICE Detention Center where he was protesting its opening, a federal prosecutor said.

Alina Habba, interim U.S. attorney for New Jersey, said on the social platform X that Baraka committed trespass and ignored warnings from Homeland Security personnel to leave Delaney Hall, an ICE detention facility run by private prison operator GEO Group.

The mayor has been protesting the opening of the facility throughout this week, saying its operators did not get proper permits. Baraka joined U.S. Democrat Reps. Bonnie Watson Coleman, Rob Menendez and LaMonica McIver at the facility on Friday to "conduct oversight.” The lawmakers were not arrested.

In her social media post, Habba said Baraka had “chosen to disregard the law.” She added that he was taken into custody.

An email and phone message left with the mayor’s communications office were not immediately answered Friday afternoon.

Baraka, a Democrat who is running to succeed term-limited Gov. Phil Murphy, has embraced the fight with the Trump administration over illegal immigration.

He has aggressively pushed back against the construction and opening of the 1,000-bed detention center, arguing that it should not be allowed to open because of building permit issues.

The two-story building next to a county prison operated as a halfway house before a February announcement from Immigration and Customs Enforcement that it and the GEO Group reached a $1 billion, 15-year deal for a detention center there.

Baraka sued GEO Group soon after the deal was announced.

The Department of Education (ED) opened an investigation Thursday into the University of Pennsylvania (UPenn) over its alleged failure to accurately report the foreign funding it receives.

ED said the Ivy League university has a long history of “inaccurate and incomplete” reporting of foreign funding and has initiated a public records request from the school. The department is seeking information regarding UPenn’s tax records, all foreign gifts, grants, contracts and agreements the university has been involved with since 2017 as well as its internal policies regarding complying with federal disclosure requirements.

“UPenn has a troubling Section 117 compliance history, having failed to disclose any foreign funding until February of 2019 despite a decades-long statutory obligation to do so,” Acting General Counsel Tom Wheeler said in ED’s press release. “Although the previous Administration degraded the Department’s enforcement of universities’ legal obligations to disclose foreign gifts and contracts, the Trump Administration will vigorously uphold the law and ensure universities are transparent with their foreign gifts and investments.”

The department is also requesting information from UPenn on all staff responsible for conducting research in collaboration with foreign entities and those involved with administering the Foreign Government Talent Recruitment Program.

This level of self-representation is rare in estate matters, especially when the filer is a licensed attorney and public official.

It also meant that Letitia, being both heir and administrator, faced no legal cross-examination about the estate’s inconsistencies.

The Robert James estate filings reveal a fractured family dynamic. Letitia James stated that two of her siblings – Alberta and Marsha James – were “missing”. The two missing sisters were listed with their whereabouts as “unknown”.

Letitia James, acting as petitioner and being the daughter of Robert James, filed an affirmation of due diligence detailing her many efforts to locate them.

The estate filing indicates that of Letitia’s seven siblings, three of them suffered from mental illness.

Mental illnesses such as schizophrenia and certain mood disorders have hereditary components.

Though not determinative of her own mental health, if three siblings were affected, this could indicate James has a strong familial predisposition to mental illness herself.

Columbia University placed at least 65 students on interim suspension Friday, and barred another 33 from campus after the anti-Israel protesters forced their way into the Butler Library reading room Wednesday and refused to leave, according to JNS.

Columbia University acting President Claire Shipman called in the NYPD to clear the reading room after the students involved would not identify themselves or disperse.

Shipman said Columbia's administration "spent substantial time working to defuse the situation in multiple ways, through Public Safety and Delegate visits to the students," as well as conversations with professors, before calling the police.

"I am enormously grateful for the many people we have in our community, our Public Safety officers, our faculty, our staff, and my team, who work so hard to make Columbia what we know it can be and should be for our community," Shipman said in a statement Wednesday. "I also made sure to be present when the police arrived; I wanted to see for myself how the operation would unfold, and I'm grateful that it was orderly, professional, and extremely limited, with a focus on the students who refused to leave the reading room."

Two of Columbia's Public Safety officers were injured in the unrest, a turn of events that Shipman called "outrageous."

"Sadly, during the course of this disruption, two of our Columbia Public Safety Officers sustained injuries during a crowd surge when individuals attempted to force their way into the building and into Room 301," she said in a statement to Fox News. "These actions are outrageous."

Secretary of State Marco Rubio said the Trump administration was scrutinizing the visa statuses of the protesters involved in the library takeover, suggesting there would be a federal response in addition to Columbia's disciplinary action.

"We are reviewing the visa status of the trespassers and vandals who took over Columbia University's library," Rubio wrote in a post on X. "Pro-Hamas thugs are no longer welcome in our great nation."

The Washington Examiner reported that Columbia University Apartheid Divest helped organize the takeover of the library, which it temporarily renamed "Basel Al-Araj Popular University." The name was an apparent homage to an alleged terrorist who was killed by the Israel Defense Forces in 2017.

The protesters reportedly distributed pamphlets that celebrated Al-Araj as a champion of the Palestinian resistance movement.

"At the original Popular University project in the West Bank, Basel al-Araj taught about the Palestinian resistance and insisted that knowledge must serve liberation, not empire," the pamphlet shared with the Examiner read. "Today, we teach each other the stories our universities refuse to tell. We feed each other, protect each other, learn with and from each other. The Popular University is not only a demand for divestment."

In addition to divestment from Israel, the pamphlet called for the university to bar police and federal immigration authorities from Columbia's campus.
