Save Act only applies prospectively, i.e., to NEW voter registrations, and some provisions are not effective until 2027. Lots of state IDs and driver's licenses have already been granted to illegals. So if illegals have already been registered to vote (which DMVs in CA and elsewhere do automatically) and proof of citizenship to registerin the futureis required, the illegals already registered to vote (and registering right now) can vote in the midterms, even if the Save Act passes because you don't need proof of citizenship at time of voting, only at the time of registering to vote (if act passes). And IDs alone (which would be required at the time of voting) are granted without proof of citizenship in many states.

 

Those seeking to destroy America have been allowed to make inroads in so many areas, and (smartly) also work on overwhelm-the-perceived-enemy principles so, when and if people finally wake up and say, "Enough," those newly awakened find themselves starting to fight back from a deep hole of loose sand. In that setting, each shovel load out is overwhelmed by the equivalent of 3 shovel loads back in from the loose sand walls.

 

A different, non-traditional strategy is called for:

 

  • to quickly get the voter roles sorted - and to keep them sorted such that only citizens can actually register to vote, and

 

- proof of citizenship-validated ID (not State-issued driver's licenses to anyone) is required in order to cast a ballot, and

 

  • all illegals (each of whom has broken the law).are removed from the country.

 

Without major progress on all 3 goals in coming months, especially the first two), the midterms are lost. If that happens, PDJT's next 2 years, like the second half of his first term, will be much less effective, if not entirely ineffectual (defending self and cabinet members in impeachment and legal proceedings plus whatever this political season's version of ''stop everything on all fronts" - a la "Covid19" - is).

 

There seems to be much focus on the Save Act to get through the Senate and "save the midterms." But the actual language of the Act, while productive, if followed, for future voter registrations, does not, as Anon understands it, do anything, even if passed, to secure the midterms against existing illegal registrants with State-issued IDs. They can still slide through and vote (especially in CA where it is ILLEGAL to ask for ID.)

 

And without midterm success, forward progress on many fronts will be slowed to a crawl, if not reversed.

 

None of this is news to Anons. But reliance on Save Act to "save the midterms" in 8.5 months may be misplaced.

Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky has increasingly made his frustrations with the Trump administration public, but he may have just crossed the line with the US President, who Zelensky admits can be tough and unbending.

 

Zelensky has newly complained amid the latest Geneva trilateral talks that the US delegation could pressure him to make "unsuccessful decisions" and he is urging Washington to back off, even using expletives to make his point.

 

For starters, he claims that the Ukrainian public won't let him cede territory to Russia for the sake of peace even if he wanted to, as we highlighted previously.

 

But the latest colorful verbal broadside, cited by Axios on Tuesday as Russian and Ukrainian delegations convened in Geneva, saw Zelensky take direct aim at the head of Moscow's negotiating team, Vladimir Medinsky. Kiev's frustration at the state of dialogue has been boiling over.

 

Medinsky has argued - along with numerous Russian officials, including President Vladimir Putin - that the conflict's historical roots must be addressed as part of any settlement, especially given the bulk of the Ukrainian population in the east (Donbas) has always been Russian speaking and looked to Moscow historically.

 

Zelensky dismissed that approach outright:

 

"We don’t have time for all this shit," he told the outlet. "So we have to decide, and have to finish the war."

 

The White House this month has finally appeared to be ratcheting up the pressure directly on Zelensky to make some kind of serious land concession.

 

This was evident in the latest comments by President Trump on the topic of Geneva issued near the start of the week. Frustration with Kiev was evident when he told reporters aboard Air Force One, "Well, we have big talks." He stated that "It’s going to be very easy. I mean, look, so far, Ukraine better come to the table fast. That’s all I’m telling you."

 

Zelensky after this bitterly complained that it's 'not fair' for Trump to take aim at Ukraine and not Russia, and suggested maybe it's simply easer for Trump to do this given he doesn't want to upset the far larger, more formidable country.

New Mexico Launches Probe Into What Happened At Epstein's 'Zorro Ranch'

 

Until now, the public's visualizations of the Jeffrey Epstein scandal have largely centered on his Caribbean Island and his seven-story New York townhouse, but a new setting is poised to take greater prominence, as the New Mexico legislature just launched a wide-ranging investigation into what took place at Epstein's "Zorro Ranch" about 30 miles south of Santa Fe. One line of inquiry focuses on a redacted email in the DOJ files alleging that two "foreign girls" were buried on the property.

 

“He was basically doing anything he wanted in this state without any accountability whatsoever,” New Mexico state Representative Andrea Romero, a Democrat who co-sponsored the probe, told NBC News. She said there's no indication that the FBI ever searched the property.

 

With a $2.5 million budget approved by unanimous vote of the legislature, a "truth commission" of Democrats and Republicans will head up the probe into potential criminal activity on the 7,600-acre property that features both a 26,700-square-foot mansion and guest houses. Legislators are urging victims to come forward, but multiple accusations of sexual misconduct at the ranch have already been made. For example:

 

Annie Farmer, who testified at Ghislaine Maxwell's trial, said Maxwell gave her a nude massage there when Farmer was 16 years old – and that, the next morning, Epstein entered her bed and "pressed his body" into hers.

 

A victim identifed as "Jane" testified that she was taken to the ranch and abused when she was only 14 years old. “I just remember someone, at one point, just came into [my] room and said: ‘Jeffrey wants to see you,’ and then escorted me to see him.”

 

The late Virginia Giuffre claimed to have been abused at the ranch, and that Epstein partner-in-crime Ghislaine Maxwell instructed her to "massage" former New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson there – with "massage" mutually understood to mean sexual intimacy.

 

A Santa Fe massage therapist accused Epstein of sexually abusing her at the ranch.

 

The most disturbing but least-substantiated claim was made anonymously – an email in the possession of the DOJ said two females were buried in the hills near the ranch. Last week, the New Mexico Chief of Criminal Affairs asked the DOJ to give his department "immediate access to a complete, unredacted version of file EFTA01250229" along with forensic information associated with the email and any DOJ documents associated with it.

Operation SUNRISE: Secret meeting in Ascona

 

In March 1945, an SS general negotiated with the Allies for the German surrender in Italy. The meeting took place in Ascona and ultimately shortened the Second World War by a few days.

 

On March 18 and 19, 1945, the spring festival in honor of Saint Joseph took place in the Piazza of Ascona. Despite the war, many people participated and celebrated exuberantly. At the same time, a secret meeting was taking place in this small fishing village. It is known today as "Operation Sunrise" or "Operation Crossword" and brought together high-ranking representatives of the warring powers. The group was completed by Swiss mediators. The negotiations concerned the surrender of the German forces in northern Italy.

 

The participants, all dressed in civilian clothes, were SS- Obergruppenführer Karl Wolff, Major General Lyman L. Lemnitzer for the USA, and British Major General Terence S. Airey. The meeting had been organized by Allen Dulles, head of the Office of Strategic Services (OSS) in Bern—a US intelligence agency of the American War Department—along with his right-hand man, the German-American Gero von Schulze-Gaevernitz. Also present were the Italian Baron Luigi Parilli, the Swiss intelligence officer Max Waibel, and Max Husmann, founder and director of the Institut Montana on the Zugerberg. Adjutants, secretaries, translators, and bodyguards were also present. The group consisted of at least 20 people.The Russians were not among them.

 

Several properties in the Ascona region were used for the meeting. While the Allied representatives stayed at the Villa al Roccolo, owned by industrialist and Nazi opponent Edmund Hugo Stinnes, other participants stayed as "tourists" in various hotels. On March 18, Karl Wolff and Allen Dulles met in a small house on Via Signore in Croce in Ascona. This house also belonged to Stinnes, who had provided various rooms for the negotiations. The actual talks began on March 19 at the small Villa Margiana on the lake.

 

Karl Wolff, the highest-ranking SS and police leader in Italy, agreed to an unconditional surrender and made many concessions, including the release of several important partisan leaders. In return, he was to receive a verbal guarantee of acquittal in the upcoming war crimes trials.

Initial contact between the Germans stationed in Italy and the Allies was established as early as autumn 1944. However, several setbacks delayed the negotiations. On March 8, 1945, Adolf Hitler ordered Field Marshal Albert Kesselring back to Germany to assume command of the entire Western Front. According to Wolff, the Wehrmacht's supreme commander in Italy would have been open to negotiations for a surrender. Only if both organizations, the SS and the Wehrmacht , had agreed to the surrender would its implementation have been possible. Kesselring's return was a setback for Wolff. Albert Kesselring's successor, General Heinrich Gottfried von Vietinghoff-Scheel, had to be persuaded once again. There were also delays on the American side. After the death of Franklin D. Roosevelt on April 12, 1945, Vice President Harry S. Truman took over and critically reviewed the work of the OSS in Europe. This took time. Meanwhile, the Allied troops were already approaching Bologna.

On April 29, 1945, Operation Sunrise ended in Caserta, near Naples. Lieutenant Colonel Viktor von Schweinitz, representing the Wehrmacht in Italy, and SS Major Eugen Wenner, representing the SS on the peninsula, signed the surrender of the German armed forces in Italy. This surrender took effect on May 2, 1945. This surrender came very late. Large parts of Italy had already been liberated, and its impact on the overall war was less significant than some of those involved later portrayed in their memoirs.

Who benefited from the negotiations?

 

Operation Sunrise had advantages for many of those involved. SS General Karl Wolff received remarkably lenient treatment from the justice system despite his involvement in numerous war crimes. He spent less than nine years in prison and died in 1984 in Priem am Chiemsee. SS Sturmbannführer Eugen Wenner received no punishment at all and worked for the CIA in South America after the war. The future CIA Director, Allen Dulles, certainly had a hand in this.

 

The negotiations with Wolff significantly boosted the OSS 's meager operational performance in Switzerland and were a strong argument for Dulles's assumption of the CIA leadership . However, Dulles's methods remained controversial even after World War II. Under his leadership, several bloody coups were carried out in Southeast Asia, as well as in Central and Latin America. These shaped American foreign policy for decades. In 1961, following the failed Bay of Pigs invasion of Cuba, Allen Dulles was fired by John F. Kennedy. He died in Washington in 1969 at the age of 75.

 

Max Waibel was promoted to military attaché in the USA in the immediate post-war period. He subsequently rose to the rank of major general. Despite this, his life ended tragically. Waibel was implicated in the financial scandal of the Lucerne private bank Ernst Brunner & Co. , which ultimately led to its bankruptcy. As a member of the bank's board of directors, the pressure became too much for him, and he took his own life in January 1971.

Louisville, KY – A federal grand jury in Louisville returned an Indictment on February 4, 2026, charging five Louisville residents with fraud and money laundering offenses.

 

U.S. Attorney Kyle G. Bumgarner of the Western District of Kentucky made the announcement.

 

According to the Indictment, Donnita Wilson, 32; Aariel Matthews, 27; Raul Tellez Ojeda, 32; Lazaro Alejandro Castello Rojas, 37; and Robert Danger Correa, 41; were charged with Mail Fraud (14 counts), Mail Fraud Conspiracy (one count), Honest Services Mail Fraud (14 counts), Honest Services Mail Fraud Conspiracy (one count), Unlawful Production of Identification Documents (14 Counts), and Money Laundering Conspiracy (one count).

 

The indictment alleges the defendants devised and executed a scheme that solicited illegal fees between $200 and $1,500 from legally present, non-U.S. citizens who were applying for driver’s licenses on the promise that they would be expedited through the process without undergoing testing requirements. In furtherance of the scheme, the indictment alleges that certain conspirators altered information in government databases to bypass important steps in the application process and, thereby, issue invalid licenses to the non-U.S. citizens. The indictment alleges the defendants perpetrated this scheme for their own financial gain, and betrayed the trust placed in them by Kentucky’s Transportation Cabinet.

 

United States Attorney Kyle Bumgarner stated, “This indictment represents the culmination of an investigation into a scheme by Kentucky Transportation Cabinet employees and others to illegally circumvent Kentucky’s process for issuing driver’s licenses, thereby issuing invalid licenses to lawfully present, non-U.S. citizens who had not first demonstrated their qualifications to drive on our roads. Proper vetting of individuals seeking a driver’s license is a prerequisite to ensuring the safety of Kentucky’s roadways and ensuring the legitimacy of state-issued identification. As alleged in the indictment, this fraudulent scheme involved kickbacks and bribes leading to numerous legally present, non-U.S. citizens obtaining unlawfully issued drivers licenses.”

 

Several defendants were arraigned on February 9, 2026, before a U.S. Magistrate Judge of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Kentucky. If convicted, the defendants face a maximum sentence of 20 years for each count of mail fraud, mail fraud conspiracy, honest services mail fraud, and money laundering. A federal district court judge will determine any sentence after considering the sentencing guidelines and other statutory factors.

Trump Mulls Social Media Ban for Minors.

 

President Donald J. Trump may move to restrict social media access for minors under a policy inspired by similar measures enacted in countries like Australia and France, as well as in some U.S. states such as Florida. Russia Preparing Mass Naval Drone Strikes in Black Sea, Ukrainian Intel Warns

Russia is preparing to expand the use of naval drones in its war against Ukraine, with plans indicating a potential shift toward mass deployment in the Black Sea.

According to RBC-Ukraine on February 18, citing Ukraine’s Main Directorate of Intelligence (HUR), Russia has not yet achieved systematic or effective combat use of these systems with significant battlefield impact.

However, intelligence officials state that production plans point to preparations for broader application.

 

HUR told RBC-Ukraine that no “systemic or effective use of these assets with significant combat impact” has been recorded so far.

At the same time, intelligence officials noted that plans to manufacture up to 40 units per month of certain platforms, including the “Skat” type naval drone, “indicate the enemy’s intention to shift to tactics of mass deployment.”

 

Among the systems under development is the “Triton” naval drone, reportedly capable of reaching speeds of up to 100 km/h. Ukrainian intelligence assesses that this platform could be intended for attacks against civilian shipping and port infrastructure.

HUR also highlighted the development of the autonomous underwater vehicle “Prosveet-1,” reportedly designed to counter Ukrainian underwater unmanned systems.

 

Dmytro Pletenchuk, spokesperson for Ukraine’s Navy, told RBC-Ukraine that Russia is not copying a specific Ukrainian platform but rather the broader operational model behind Ukraine’s naval drone campaign.

“They are not copying a specific drone. They are copying the logic: a fast platform, low visibility, modularity, an attempt at integration into a system,” Pletenchuk said.

Russia has continued missile and drone strikes against port infrastructure in Odesa, Chornomorsk, and Izmail, and naval drones are being considered as an additional instrument within that pressure campaign.

 

HUR stated that in the strategic dimension, the development of naval unmanned systems is viewed by Russia as part of a long-term military policy aimed at asymmetric confrontation with technologically advanced naval powers.

At the same time, analysts note that Russia continues to rely primarily on aerial drones and missile systems, which are already integrated into large-scale strike operations.

Defense expert Oleh Katkov told RBC-Ukraine: “They have missiles. They have ‘Shaheds,’ which operate regularly and against a broad spectrum of targets. Why complicate the scheme and bring in a naval drone if the effect is significantly smaller?”

Sayer Ji told The Defender the files show that Epstein “functioned as a switchboard” connecting “hedge funds, central banks, billionaires, academic institutions and global health initiatives.”

 

Ji published his analysis of health- and medical-related information in the files in a series of Substack articles and posts on X.

 

Seamus Bruner, director of research at the Government Accountability Institute, said the files revealed the workings of a network of “Controligarchs on steroids, but with shocking new receipts.”

 

Bruner said the files showed that Epstein helped develop “the architecture for pandemic profiteering” years before the COVID-19 pandemic.

 

The documents largely date from the 2010s — after Epstein’s 2008 conviction for soliciting underage sex and his inclusion on a registry of sex offenders.

 

Ji noted that months before the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, many of the same actors who appear in the Epstein files participated in Event 201 — a simulation of a global pandemic caused by a coronavirus.

 

The pandemic preparedness infrastructure built in the years before the pandemic helped lead to this simulation, Ji wrote.

 

According to The Hill, members of the U.S. Congress began reviewing unredacted versions of the documents on Monday.

 

Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.), who co-sponsored the Epstein Files Transparency Act along with Rep. Ro Khanna (D-Calif.), told The Defender the documents’ release is about justice, not politics.

 

“Rep. Ro Khanna and I have tried to keep the Epstein files from being political. The Democrats want to make it about Trump, and the Republicans want to make it about the Clintons. We want to make it about the survivors and getting them justice and transparency,” Massie said.

 

Gates, Epstein and the ‘architecture behind pandemics as a business model’

 

Ji’s series of Substack posts revealed what he described as “a 20-year architecture behind pandemics as a business model — with Bill Gates at the center of the network,” along with multinational financial institutions like JPMorgan Chase.

 

The documents, dating from 2011 to 2019, illustrate an “architecture whose foundations predate the COVID-19 era by more than a decade,” Ji wrote. He said they constitute evidence of “a major Wall Street bank asking a convicted sex offender to define the architecture of a Gates-linked charitable fund.”

The military will stay “on the attack” against Hezbollah, 91st Division Commander Brig.-Gen. Yuval Gaz told a group of northern border region leaders on Wednesday.

 

“Our responsibility is that we don’t only react but also to preempt, to initiate [attacks] in order to [better] defend. Any place where the IDF needs to act – we will act,” Gaz told the regional leaders, alongside the Defense Ministry northern coordinator Nochi Mendel.

The commander said, “I am here to tell you that we are preparing for various scenarios. We have operational plans to act immediately, and our forces are distributed along the entire border and deep into the territory.”

Demonstrators accuse Israeli defence firms of profiting from war as dozens of companies showcase "field-proven" weapons.

 

Israeli protesters gathered outside a major arms exhibition in Tel Aviv, accusing defence companies of using Gaza as a “testing ground” for weapons marketed as "field-proven".

 

The demonstration took place outside the Defence Tech Expo 2026 on Tuesday, a two-day international defence and security fair being held for the first time at the Tel Aviv Exhibition Centre.

 

Around 20 demonstrators held placards reading “You are using Gaza as a testing lab” and called for an arms embargo, denouncing what they described as war profiteering linked to Israel’s genocide in the Palestinian enclave.

 

The protest was organised by an Israeli group that withheld its name, citing security concerns.

 

In a statement, the group said it was rallying against “the profits of the arms industry from occupation, apartheid and genocide in Gaza” and condemning both the companies exhibiting at the event and the foreign buyers attending.

 

According to the exhibition’s official website, more than 70 Israeli firms specialising in defence and homeland security are showcasing advanced technologies and solutions described as having been “proven in the field".

 

Israeli daily Yedioth Ahronoth reported earlier this month that the expo, organised by the Star Group, is expected to draw dozens of foreign delegations, senior officials and technology investors.

 

The event is held under the auspices of Israel’s Foreign Ministry, the Foreign Trade Administration at the Economy Ministry, the Israeli Export Institute and the Federation of Israeli Chambers of Commerce.

 

The protest comes amid growing scrutiny over the types of weapons used by Israel in Gaza.

 

In February, an investigative report broadcast by Al Jazeera said Israeli forces used highly destructive thermal and vacuum weapons during the war, citing testimonies from medics and civil defence officials.

 

A US-backed ceasefire agreement has been in place in Gaza since October 10, partly halting Israel’s genocide that has killed more than 72,000 people, mostly women and children, and wounded over 171,000 others since October 2023.

 

Since the agreement took effect on October 10, Israeli forces have committed hundreds of violations through shelling and gunfire, killing 603 Palestinians and wounding 1,618 others, according to Gaza’s health ministry.

UAE scrubbing Hind al-Owais from internet after Epstein emails uncovered

 

References to Emirati diplomat being deleted from official websites and social media accounts, days after hundreds of emails with sex offender revealed by DOJ

 

Several mentions of Hind al-Owais, an Emirati official whose name appears extensively in the Epstein files, have quietly been scrubbed from the internet, Middle East Eye has found.

 

Owais has served for some time as the director of the Permanent Committee for Human Rights (PCHR), a body created by the UAE government in 2019 to promote human rights.

 

Mentions of Owais have been wiped from the organisation’s Instagram, X and LinkedIn accounts, as well as from its website. That includes posts that referred to her as the PCHR’s director as recently as two weeks ago.

 

Posts from earlier this month which state that “the Director of the UAE's Permanent Committee for Human Rights (PCHR), Hind al-Owais, participated in the 6th Global Tolerance and Human Fraternity Conference…” have been removed from the PCHR’s Instagram and X pages. Previews of the posts were seen by MEE on Google search results.

 

The sixth Global Tolerance and Human Fraternity Conference was held in Dubai on 2 February 2025.

 

A page on the website of the Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy (AGDA) - a diplomatic training institute based in the UAE - detailing the speakers and moderator of that event has disappeared. Owais was the moderator.

 

According to the Wayback Machine, the page was visible as recently as December 2025, but no longer exists. Now it says “404 Page not found. The page you are looking for does not exist. It might have been moved or deleted”.

 

The AGDA was founded by the ruler of Dubai, Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and is named after Anwar Gargash, an influential adviser to UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

 

At least two posts naming Owais as the director of the PCHR have been scrubbed from the organisation's LinkedIn account too, MEE found.

 

Addditionally, Google search results show that as of May 2025, there was a profile page for Owais as a past speaker at the World Governments Summit.

 

The page used to have an image of her and list her experience as “Senior Vice President of International Participants at Expo 2020”.

Two bomb attacks and a gun battle between police and rebel fighters have killed more than a dozen people in northwest Pakistan.

 

One child and 11 security personnel ⁠were ⁠killed in an attack ‌in Bajaur district of volatile Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Monday, the Pakistani military said on Tuesday. Seven ⁠others, ⁠including women and children, ⁠were injured ⁠in ⁠the incident.

 

An explosives-laden vehicle detonated while being driven towards a security checkpoint in Bajaur, local police official Zafar Khan told The Associated Press news agency, adding that a girl was killed when a nearby building collapsed due to the force of the blast.

 

The attack came after rescue officials said two people were killed earlier on Monday when explosives attached to a parked motorcycle detonated near the entrance of a police station in Bannu, another district in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa near the Afghan border.

 

Officials said at least 17 people were injured in the Bannu attack.

 

Reporting on violence in Bajaur, the AFP news agency said a suicide bomber drove a vehicle rigged with explosives into the wall of a religious college in the district.

 

As a result, “police and Frontier Corps personnel present inside the seminary were martyred”, a security official told AFP, speaking on condition of anonymity.

 

It was not known if the explosions reported at the security checkpoint in Bajaur and the seminary blast in the district were linked or separate attacks.

 

In another incident reported by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police, three police personnel and as many rebel fighters were killed during a search operation in the province’s Shangla district. Police said the deceased fighters were involved in “attacks targeting Chinese nationals”.

 

Pakistan has seen a surge in unprecedented attacks against its security forces since 2021, coinciding with the Taliban’s return to power in Afghanistan.

WEF Rocked As CEO Faces Investigation Over Ties To "Davos Concierge" Epstein

 

The World Economic Forum (WEF) quietly launched an independent review earlier this month into its CEO, Børge Brende, over his past interactions with Jeffrey Epstein, Bloomberg reports.

 

Files released by the Department of Justice show Epstein and Brende had three dinners in 2018 and 2019, and exchanged various text messages. One dinner occurred in September 2018, more than a decade after Epstein's 2008 conviction and guilty plea in Florida for procuring a child for prostitution, and another on June 13, 2019, shortly before Epstein's final arrest on federal sex-trafficking charges.

 

Like many powerful figures, Brende has claimed that he was unaware of Epstein's criminal history at the time of their meetings, and is said to have ordered the probe into his communications with Epstein.

 

"I was completely unaware of Epstein’s past and criminal activities," Brende said in a statement to Bloomberg. "Had I known about his background, I would have declined the initial invitation and any subsequent dinner invitations or other communications.”

 

"I recognize that I could have conducted a more thorough investigation into Epstein’s history, and I regret not doing so,” he added.

 

Klaus Schwab, who founded the WEF in 1971, has maintained that he is “certain” that he never met with Epstein, a press representative told Bloomberg.

 

Beyond Brende's direct contacts, the released files highlight Epstein's broader efforts to leverage the prestige of the WEF's annual Davos meeting. Despite reportedly claiming to "hate" the Forum in private, Epstein positioned himself as a self-described "Davos concierge" to facilitate access for his associates.

 

For instance, in late 2009, months after his release from Florida incarceration, Epstein corresponded with Boris Nikolic, an immunologist and regular Davos attendee, offering to arrange one-on-one meetings. "I can organize a 1:1 meeting with most people there. One 'virtual currency' I have is access ;)," Epstein wrote while sharing a participant list, according to Bloomberg.

San Antonio CEO Pleads Guilty to Over $69 Million Investment Fraud Scheme

 

SAN ANTONIO – A San Antonio man who conducted a $69.5 million fraud scheme pleaded guilty in federal court Tuesday to one count of wire fraud, announced U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Texas, Justin R. Simmons.

 

According to court documents, from January 2023 to March 2025, Devin Ward Elder, 47, fraudulently raised more than $69.5 million from approximately 345 investor victims that participated in 17 real estate investments. Elder was the founder and CEO of the San Antonio-based investment firm, DJE Texas Management Group, LLC, which was formed in March 2015 and employed dozens of people. DJE invested in multifamily apartments, industrial flexible workspace units, land projects, commercial building projects, and offered investment in a so-called “Income Fund.” Fourteen of DJE’s 17 offered investments acquired real property, and each property was owned by a separate LLC created for the limited purpose of purchasing and owning the investment property.

 

Elder induced his victims to invest with him and made a series of material misrepresentations promising high returns with low risk. Among many other false representations, Elder promised that he would “co-invest” his own money. Additionally, in classic Ponzi fashion, Elder made interest payments to investors of one project using investor funds from other projects without disclosing the nature or source of those interest payments. Over the 26-month life of the scheme, investors received approximately $8.8 million in payments that Elder purported to be “interest” and “principal” payments. In reality, many of the payments consisted of the investments of investors in other funds rather than actual investment returns.

 

In March 2025, Elder halted interest payments to the victim-investors. He notified the investors that his businesses were having financial difficulties, the projects would not be completed, and they should expect to lose a large portion of their investments.

 

Elder was charged with one count of wire fraud on Jan. 28 and summoned to appear in federal court on Feb. 17, at which time he pleaded guilty. Elder is scheduled to be sentenced the week of June 2 and faces up to 20 years in prison. A federal district court judge will determine any sentence after considering the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and other statutory factors.

EU urges Ukraine to ‘repair’ Russian oil pipeline

The EU wants answers from Ukraine about when it will be able to repair the Druzhba oil pipeline that delivers Russian crude to Hungary and Slovakia, European Commission spokeswoman Anna-Kaisa Itkonen has said.

 

The transit of oil via the pipeline has remained on hold since late January, with Kiev blaming Russia for damaging the infrastructure. Moscow has denied the allegation and has accused Ukraine of using energy blackmail against Hungary.

 

Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto also insisted last week that the Druzhba pipeline remains in working order and the Ukrainian authorities aren’t restating the deliveries for “political reasons.”

 

Kiev is “jeopardizing our energy security” because it wants to put the government of Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, which opposes Ukraine’s membership in the EU, in a “difficult position,” ahead of the parliamentary election in April, the diplomat said.

 

Itkonen told journalists on Tuesday that the European Commission is in contact with Ukraine to discuss the timeline for getting the Druzhba oil pipeline up and running.

 

There are currently “no short-term risks to security of supply for Hungary and Slovakia” as they hold 90 days of reserve oil stocks, she said.

 

Brussels, however, is ready to set up an emergency coordination group to discuss alternative routes to supply oil to the two countries, the spokeswoman added.

 

The landlocked nations insist that it is impossible for them to fully satisfy their energy needs without Russian deliveries.

 

Szijjarto said last week that Hungary and Slovakia have asked Croatia to use the Adria pipeline to transport Russian oil. On Monday, Croatian Economy Minister Ante Susnjar confirmed Zagreb’s approval, saying that it “will not allow Central Europe's fuel supply to be endangered.”

 

Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico warned on Wednesday that Bratislava could stop supplying electricity to Ukraine if Kiev fails to restart the flow of oil through the Druzhba pipeline.

Sudan: Rights chief alarmed after at least 57 killed in drone attacks in two days

Volker Türk was alarmed by the reports, which said that at least 15 children were among the victims.

“These latest killings are yet another reminder of the devastating consequences on civilians of the escalating use of drone warfare in Sudan,” he said.

The attacks occurred between 15 and 16 February and in four states across Sudan, where the national army and a paramilitary group, the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), have been at war since April 2023.

 

Market, schools and IDP shelter hit

Mr. Türk said an alleged Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) drone struck the Al Safiya market in Sudari locality, North Kordofan state, on 15 February, reportedly killing 28 civilians and injuring 13 others.

The following day, in West Kordofan, an alleged SAF drone struck a shelter for internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Al Sunut, killing 26 civilians, among them 15 children. Fifteen others were injured.

That same day, alleged RSF drones hit two primary schools in Dilling, South Kordofan, but casualties have not yet been determined.

 

Elsewhere, an alleged RSF drone =struck the Al-Mazmoun Hospital in Sennar state on 15 February, reportedly killing at least three civilians and injuring at least seven others.

On the same day, an alleged SAF drone struck a fuel store within a local market in Adikong, West Darfur. Casualties were reported but remain unconfirmed.

“The continued attacks by all parties on civilian objects must stop,” the rights chief said. “The parties must take urgent measures to protect civilians, including by refraining from the military use of civilian objects.”

 

UN convoy arrives in South Kordofan

Meanwhile, a multi-agency UN convoy has brought vital humanitarian supplies to two cities in South Kordofan – Dilling and nearby Kadugli – which have been largely cut off from aid for more than two years.

The 26 trucks transported essential medical, food, nutrition, health, water and sanitation (WASH), and education supplies for over 130,000 people.

The items included food commodities to support nearly 70,000 people – among them 21,000 mothers and children – with specialised nutritious food to prevent malnutrition.

Five months of HIV, TB and malaria medication and lifesaving medicines also were on board. The convoy was led by the World Food Programme (WFP), the UN Children’s Fund (UNICEF), and the UN Development Programme (UNDP).

 

‘A critical lifeline’

“The arrival of this convoy is a critical lifeline for children who have been cut off from assistance for far too long,” said Sheldon Yett, UNICEF Representative in Sudan.

Due to intensified hostilities and insecurity along the main route from Al Obeid, the convoy was forced to halt for more than 40 days which delayed the mission and exposed communities to further risk.

 

The trucks ultimately reached Dilling by navigating a longer and more difficult offroad route – underlining how humanitarian convoys push forward even in extremely challenging conditions, said Makena Walker, acting WFP Country Director for Sudan.

“Routes must stay open and predictable so vital assistance can reach people without interruption, including communities that have been cut off for far too long,” she said.

The UN agencies underscored that sustained, predictable, and safe access is urgently required to prevent further deterioration of the humanitarian situation across South Kordofan.

 

Step up support

“The arrival of lifesaving medicine in South Kordofan is a huge relief for patients who have watched stocks dwindle during the war. But now the clock starts ticking again,” said Luca Renda, UNDP Sudan Resident Representative.

“To keep patients alive, we have to ramp up support for national systems that can maintain regular deliveries all across Sudan, even while war continues.”

Mexico prepares for possible drone threats during the World Cup

The Mexican military is preparing to confront the potential threat of non-authorized drones in stadiums used for this summer's football World Cup.

Mexico is co-hosting the tournament with the United States and Canada between June 11 to July 19, and on Tuesday, soldiers at a military base in Mexico City demonstrated the anti-drone equipment they would use to protect the nation's stadiums.

 

The prevention tactics are a response to growing use of internet-bought drones by drug cartels to hit rivals and civilians in regions plagued by organized crime.

These areas are in fact far from the three World Cup venues: Mexico City in the center of the country, Guadalajara in the west, and Monterrey in the north. They will host 13 of the tournament's 104 matches.

"(Drone prevention) is going to be focused in the stadiums and where there are crowds, which could be the 'Fan Fest' events, or any point where there are meetings of people," army Captain Jose Alfredo Lara, a communications and electronics engineer, told AFP.

 

The soldiers will use two types of anti-drone equipment. One is a semi-mobile system that will establish a perimeter within which "no unauthorized drone will be allowed to fly."

The other is a portable system that a soldier can adjust to aim towards wherever a non-authorized drone may be flying.

 

Once the military team locates a drone, it cuts off the pilot's communication with the apparatus. "The device loses control and won't be able to come close," Lara explained.

Once stopped, and depending on its configuration, the device can retreat, try to exit the range of digital interception or may totally lose control.

The captain said use of drones by organized crime groups has grown over the past five years, leading the Mexican military to take actions "to be able to mitigate these types of threats."

 

The Sinaloa cartels, the Cartel Jalisco Nueva Generación (CJNG), and the Familia Michoacana all have drones in their arsenal.

According to analysts from Insight Crime, their usage is concentrated in the states of Michoacan in the west, Chihuahua in the north and Guanajuato in the center of the country.

In October last year, installations of the state prosecutors of the state of Baja California, in the border city of Tijuana, were attacked by drones that dropped artisanal explosives.

HUNTSVILLE, Alabama — The U.S. Army’s Apache attack helicopter AH-64 broke new ground by firing 30mm proximity ammunition at drones in air-to-air combat during a December exercise in Yuma, Arizona, according to the service.

The live fire test saw Apache pilots engage drones flying on ranges at Yuma Proving Ground using the 30x113mm XM1225 Aviation Proximity Explosive, called APEX.

 

The APEX rounds have proximity fuzes that cause them to detonate when they close in on a target, releasing a wide radius of blast fragments.

The 30mm rounds are designed to be fired at targets requiring precision to hit, such as small boats, drones and enemy combatants, without requiring changes to the Apache’s existing weapon system.

 

The fragments excelled at destroying drones in flight, the service has stated, in addition to being effective against ground targets.

“The XM1225’s proximity fuze has the potential to increase soft-skinned ground and aerial target vulnerability, providing the Attack [Division] community an additional capability so long as those targets are susceptible to detection, classification, and tracking,” Maj. Vincent Franchino, test pilot and Attack Division chief at Redstone Test Center in Huntsville, Alabama, said in a statement.

 

The APEX technology was developed in-house by the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command’s Armaments Center, with support from Picatinny Arsenal and Northrop Grumman.

Proximity fuzes have a long history within the U.S. military. The first were developed by the United States during World War II and were used against aircraft and Germany’s V-1 flying bombs.

 

The move to upgrade helicopter weapons capabilities for drone warfare is part of the Army’s drive to modernize combat units to address and incorporate unmanned systems.

Army Chief of Staff Gen. Randy George announced last month that the service will begin fielding the Bell MV-75 tiltrotor aircraft by the end of this year and that larger unmanned aerial systems classed in Groups 3, 4 and 5 are being integrated into Army combat aviation brigades.

Meanwhile, Energoatom stated in January that after a reassessment, the state regulator confirmed the possibility of operating SUNPP power unit No. 2 until 2035, extending its total life to 50 years. The company also claimed that IAEA experts present at the meeting voiced “no comments or concerns.” Energoatom also reported in March 2025 that it had completed the construction of spray ponds at the site, describing it as a “top priority” to improve cooling and the environmental situation.

 

The alleged concealment of technical problems comes as Energoatom, which is responsible for overseeing the plant’s condition, has been embroiled in a string of major corruption scandals, including a $100 million kickbackscheme orchestrated by Vladimir Zelensky’s longtime associate Timur Mindich.The corruption scandals have led to the resignations of former Energy Minister German Galushchenko, Deputy Energy Minister Aleksandr Kheilo, as well as Zelensky’s chief of staff, Andrey Yermak.

 

The condition of the SUNPP contrasts sharply with that of the Russian-controlled Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant(ZNPP), where despite active hostilities, both Moscow and Kiev have at times agreed to temporary ceasefires brokered by the IAEA to allow for critical repairs.

The high court has indicated it will be releasing opinions on one or more of the previously argued cases on Friday February 20, Tuesday Feb 24, or Wednesday Feb 25. The decision over tariffs triggered by President Trump using the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA) is one of the decisions now considered highly likely to surface.

 

If the decision doesn’t come this Friday, a rather interesting situation unfolds. The following week falls into the Tuesday Feb 24 State of the Union address.

 

Typically, several Supreme Court justices sit in front row of the House floor during the speech. The decision could be released on the morning of the speech, or justices could actually sit in the audience – knowing the outcome and the morning after the State of the Union address, the ruling could be released.

 

Now, there is a possibility the ruling will not come out in this cycle, but that is diminishing possibility considering the length of time the Supreme Court has sat on this opinion.

 

The court knows the importance of this decision, and they obviously know the State of the Union speech is scheduled to be delivered on Tuesday the 24th. This will be an interesting dynamic to watch unfold.

A US congressman has made shocking claims that a hidden object, so massive it cannot be moved, has had an entire building constructed around it at a secret overseas location.

Rep Eric Burlison said on Monday that the facility is 'guarded like it's some kind of commodity,' adding, 'You have committees that protest their turf.'

The lawmaker acknowledged he has no firsthand proof, saying the information comes from accounts he has heard from government and non-government sources.

'I'm not going to mention the country because I heard of it inside of a closed setting, and I want to protect my classification level,' Burlison said.

 

He added that the object is 'not in the facility that's been widely reported in the news,' pushing back on speculation about its location.

Burlison also said he has struggled to access UAP-related sites even near his office in Washington, DC, calling attempts to visit foreign facilities 'somewhat insurmountable.' 'But it doesn't mean that I'm not going to continue to try,' he said.

Burlison, who has become a household name in the UAP world, revealed earlier this month that he had requested and was granted access to secure locations, such as Area 51, which have decades-old ties to UFOs and secret government projects.

Speaking on the ALN Podcast, Burlison said that the request to President Donald Trump and his staff included visiting US military bases and facilities where evidence suggests unidentified craft, materials, bodies, or archives allegedly exist.

Hillary Clinton was in favor of TPP as were most of the traditional republican field of candidates in ’15/’16.However, Donald Trump was strongly against TPP and pledged to exit out of any negotiations and scrap the U.S. participationif he was to win the 2016 election. DonaldTrump agreed with our position, that TPP was being falsely sold as a beneficial 12-nation massive trade agreementbetween the USA and pacific rim countries including Australia and Southeast Asia nations.

 

With the history of NAFTA behind us, we could see two major issues withTPP: #1: It was structured with a back door to let China into the deal. And #2) it was created to ensure the USA remained a “service driven economy.”

Corporations and lobbyists like the U.S. Chamber of Commerce wrote the TPP language to maximize corporate profits. That was the purpose of it.

 

Take the U.S.A. out of the TPP trade agreement and the purpose/benefit no longer exists. Without the host, there is no need for a feeding agreement between parasites. That’s why a decade has passed and TPP/TTIP went nowhere.

 

All of that said,suddenly with President Trump positioning to eliminate the USMCA trade agreement, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney wants to go back to the TPP/TTIP “Rules of Origin” trade framework in order to create an insurance policy against the end of the trilateral USMCA trade agreement.

 

Now, here is where it gets really interesting. There is no way for Canada to remain in the USMCA and simultaneously commit to a trade agreement with different rules of origin.This means that for Carney to accomplish what he’s reportedly aiming for, the dissolution of the UMCA would already need to be in the works.

Iran is willing to negotiate on nuclear proliferation, and with that, the West should be guaranteeing security that rewards their transparency which should safeguard their homeland, especially from Israel, which is consistently aggressive towards Iran and their proxies. Israel constantly justifies their aggression with their own paranoia, always making the claim that others are planning on harm to Israel. Netanyahu needs to understand that "all" countries have military planning and exercises against their perceived opposition, and that does not justify aggression. If that were the case, then all the superpowers and even many neighboring countries would constantly be at war.
