Unofficial results Tuesday show he easily defeated state Sen. Catherine Miranda to win the Democratic nomination in the 7th Congressional District.

 

Republicans have already written off the district, where Democrats have a 31-percentage point registration advantage, their largest in the state. No one qualified for the primary from the GOP.

 

For Gallego, the primary win validates his outspoken political style.

Miranda said education reforms would be her priority in Congress. She said her first step would be to request a meeting with Betsy DeVos, Trump’s Education Department secretary. Later on, the Washington Post piece highlights how immigrants in the town are suffering after Tibbetts’ death and are allegedly being harassed. Specifically, Mettler notes the hardships of Bahena-Rivera’s uncle:

 

Rivera’s uncle, Eustaquio β€œCapi” Bahena Radilla, said he fears less for himself than for his three school-age children. Most days, Bahena Radilla socializes only with co-workers at Yarrabee Farms. The Jeff Bezos-owned Washington Post has published such pieces before. Take an op-ed published in the Post last year where Muslim Americans are described as being the victims of post-September 11 American society.

 

β€œWhen 9/11 came, the community paid a heavy price. As Muslims and Muslim charities were targeted in terrorism investigations, they had to scramble to mount a legal defense,” the Post op-ed read. β€œMosques often had no idea how to respond to media requests. Minnesota - Chinese Billionaire Arrested for Criminal Sexual Misconduct

 

Authorities have confirmed that Chinese e-commerce billionaire Liu Qiangdong was arrested for a brief time in Minneapolis over allegations of criminal sexual conduct.

 

The Chinese billionaire is also known as Richard Liu. He is 45 years old.

 

The brief arrest happened on Friday evening and he was released in the afternoon on Saturday. Public Information Officer John Elder said Liu was released pending formal complaint.

 

The Minneapolis Police Department reported the investigation is ongoing and would not give further details at this point.

 

Liu is the founder and CEO of Chinese online retail giant JD.com

 

Liu’s company was founded in 1998 and is part of the Fortune Global 500. The company is also China's second-largest e-commerce firm and has emerged as an aggressive competitor of Alibaba.

 

The company became popular for offering a "one-stop" shopping experience to over 300 million active customers in China, boasting of same- and next-day delivery as standard.

 

Google also announced in June that it would invest more than half a billion dollars into JD.com as part of a move to expand retail services around the world.

 

The two companies said they are poised to marry JD's supply chain and logistics experience with Google technology to create "next generation" personalized retail in regions including Southeast Asia, the US and Europe.

 

JD.com’s shares trade in the United States have prospered by appealing to the increasing sophistication of Chinese shoppers. Big global brands such as Nike, Prada and Levi’s actively use JD.com’s sales platform to reach the country’s burgeoning middle class.

 

JD.com addressed the criminal sexual misconduct allegation involving Liu in a released a statement posted on Chinese social media network Weibo. It confirmed the arrest but claimed that such arrest was carried out on β€œfalse allegation during a business trip.”

 

The statement released by Liu’s company also said authorities β€œfound no evidence of misconduct” and released Liu to continue his trip. Said statement contradicted the U.S. police.

 

"Criminal sexual conduct" encompasses a broad spectrum of non-consensual sexual activity in the state of Minnesota.

 

The details of the allegations remain unclear at this point but we may be enlightened as the investigation progresses. This does not mean the Chinese billionaire businessman is off the hook yet.

 

Business industry observers regard the allegation against Liu as another unwelcome bit of publicity for a company that reflects the business potential of China’s rising middle class.

Javid to warn over 'shocking' online child sex abuse

 

There are up to 80,000 paedophiles in the UK who pose a sexual threat to children online, the home secretary will warn in a speech later.

 

Sajid Javid will set out his "personal mission" to tackle online child abuse after learning the "full horror of the scale" from the National Crime Agency.

Referrals of child abuse images to the NCA have surged by 700% in the last five years, according to new figures.

Furthermore, the images are getting more graphic, the Home Office said.

It added that abuse of babies and children under 10 is becoming more frequently documented.

The Home Office warned that live-streaming of abuse is also on the rise, enabled by faster internet speeds, smartphone technology and the growing ease of money transfers across borders.

 

In his speech, Mr Javid is expected to say: "One officer I met [during a visit to the NCA's Child Exploitation Online Protection Command], who had previously worked in counter-terrorism for over 20 years, told me how in all his years of working he's never been so shocked by the scale of the threat or the determination of the offenders as he is in his current job."

Separate figures indicate that police in England and Wales recorded about 23 child sexual offences involving the internet every day in 2017/18 - up from about 15 a day in the previous 12 months.

The scale of the offending has led to demands for internet giants to take more action to stop access to sexual abuse images and videos.

Technology companies doing more to remove indecent images from circulation would be a "monumental landmark" in child protection, the NCA said.

There have also been calls for tougher sentences for people who download indecent images of children.

 

The agency added that in one week of action in July, 131 arrests were made, including teachers, a children's entertainer and a former police officer. Only 13 of those arrested were registered sex offenders, 19 others held positions of trust.

In his speech, Mr Javid is expected to make a commitment to prioritise efforts to crack down on online child sex abuse.

It will build on a previous project that trawls the web to identify pages with suspected abuse content.

 

The Internet Watch Foundation (IWF), which assesses and removes online child abuse material, said it fully supported Mr Javid in his warning.

Susie Hargreaves, IWF chief executive, said it "recognises the evolving threat of child sexual abuse online and the problems highlighted by the home secretary, in particular live streaming, encryption and grooming".

She added: "Sadly, our most recent annual report showed that the severity of the images we identified were up and it appeared that offenders were becoming more sophisticated in their crime."

Ms Hargreaves added that the UK "remains one of the most hostile places in the world to host this disturbing material".

Javed Khan, chief executive of children's charity Barnardo's, also welcomed Mr Javid's commitment.

He said: "The government must now deliver its promise to make the UK the safest place to be online by forcing online companies to ensure effective safeguards are in place to help better protect children.

"Any delay to acting now could put a generation of children in danger online."

An individual was taken into custody Sunday evening after they climbed over the security barrier outside the White House, federal officials said.

 

The Secret Service confirmed one person has been arrested. They were not identified. The incident occurred around 8:10pm near Street Northwest and Alexander Hamilton Place.

Officials have not provided details on a possible motive for the attempted break-in.

Further investigation is underway.

The Sunday arrest comes less than two months after a man jumped the security barrier at the White House and demanded Secret Service officials to 'shoot' him repeatedly.

The incident happened near the bike rack at the Sherman Park outside the White House.

Hunyh had also attempted to enter the premises twice prior - once in 2010 and another, in 2016.

The 2010 incident resulted in Hunyh being banned from the White House for a period of six months.

His arrest affidavit said the second time he arrived he informed officials he was having dinner with President Trump.

I think the fact that they still have to get a warrant is encouraging. That means that paperwork needs to be filled out by one person, then delivered and signed by another. So it at least requires a little effort.

 

There are two questions worth asking:

  1. Will they have enough staff with technical knowhow to identify every person that uses a vpn? The warrant gives them permission to hack the computer…but how do they reach the computer to do that if all they have is a masked ip? 3 time alcoholic, and I'm 10 months sober. Easily the longest I have gone since I was 9 years old.

 

I was able to stop because I live on here and the web and I want to be at my best. I also want to set and example and play a part in the New America. POTUS doesn't drink, and I took his lead. Good enough for DJT…Good enough for me.

Russian Oligarch Oleg Deripaska, a close associate of Vladimir Putin, has gone on record with The Hill's John Solomon - admitting to colluding with Americans leading up to the 2016 US election, except it might not be what you're thinking.

Deripaska, rumored to be Donald Trump's "back channel" to Putin via the Russian's former association with Paul Manafort, says he "colluded" with the US Government between 2009 and 2016.

 

In 2009, when Robert Mueller was running the FBI, the agency asked Deripaska to spend $25 million of his own money to bankroll an FBI-supervised operation to rescue a retired FBI agent - Robert Levinson, who was kidnapped in 2007 while working on a 2007 CIA contract in Iran. This in and of itself is more than a bit strange.

 

Deripaska agreed, however the Obama State Department, headed by Hillary Clinton, scuttled a last-minute deal with Iran before Levinson could be released. He hasn't been heard from since.

 

FBI agents courted Deripaska in 2009 in a series of secret hotel meetings in Paris; Vienna; Budapest, Hungary, and Washington. Agents persuaded the aluminum industry magnate to underwrite the mission. The Russian billionaire insisted the operation neither involve nor harm his homeland. -The Hill

 

In other words - Trump's alleged "back channel" to Putin was in fact an FBI asset who spent $25 million helping Obama's "scandal free" administration find a kidnapped agent. Deripaska's admitted

As the New York Times frames it, distancing Deripaska from the FBI (no mention of the $25 million rescue effort, for example), the Russian aluminum magnate was just one of several Putin-linked Oligarchs the FBI tried to flip.

 

The attempt to flip Mr. Deripaska was part of a broader, clandestine American effort to gauge the possibility of gaining cooperation from roughly a half-dozen of Russia’s richest men, nearly all of whom, like Mr. Deripaska, depend on President Vladimir V. Central to the recruiting effort were two central players in the Trump-Russia investigation; twice-demoted DOJ #4 official Bruce Ohr and Christopher Steele - the author of the largely unverified "Steele Dossier."

 

Steele, a longtime associate of Ohr's, worked for Deripaska beginning in 2012 researching a business rival - work which would evolve to the point where the former British spy was interfacing with the Obama administration on his behalf - resulting in Deripaska regaining entry into the United States, where he visited numerous times between 2009 and 2017.

 

The State Department tried to keep him from getting a U.S. visa between 2006 and 2009 because they believed he had unspecified connections to criminal elements in Russia as he consolidated power in the aluminum industry. Deripaska has denied those allegations…

 

Whatever the case, it is irrefutable that after he began helping the FBI, Deripaska regained entry to the United States. And he visited numerous times between 2009 and 2017, visa entry records show. -The Hill

 

Deripaska is now banned from the United States as one of several Russians sanctioned in April in response to alleged 2016 election meddling.

 

In a September 2016 meeting, Deripaska told FBI agents that it was "preposterous" that Paul Manafort was colluding with Russia to help Trump win the 2016 election. This, despite the fact that Deripaska and Manafort's business relationship "ended in lawsuits, per The Hill - and the Russian would have every reason to throw Manafort under the bus if he wanted some revenge on his old associate.

 

So the FBI and DOJ secretly collaborated with Trump's alleged backchannel over a seven-year period, starting with Levinson, then on Deripaska's Visa, and finally regarding whether Paul Manafort was an intermediary to Putin. Deripaska vehemently denies the assertion, and even took out newspaper advertisements in the US last year volunteering to testify to Congress, refuting an AP report that he and Manafort secretly worked on a plan to "greatly benefit the Putin government" a decade ago.

 

Soon after the advertisements ran, representatives for the House and Senate Intelligence Committees called a Washington-based lawyer for Mr. Deripaska, Adam Waldman, inquiring about taking his client up on the offer to testify, Mr. Waldman said in an interview.

Researching Prince, a random thought occurred to me, and not that she is not doing a fine job, but Betsy Devos provides her brother some cover in regards to him being seen near or with POTUS

THE FINANCIER ARRIVES

I sat with my new contact and his business partner in the dining area and ordered food. He wanted to be there well in advance of when the financier arrived so we wouldn’t miss him.

At least two or three different times, he stressed the fact that his insider repeated the word β€œtrillions” five times in a row.

 

IF YOU PRESENT THE CERTIFICATE, THEY WILL RIP IT UP

 

The financier told me I would receive a certificate for the principal that would be held in my name.

 

However, if I went to the issuing bank and handed it to them, wanting to redeem the balance in β€œmy” account, they would rip it up β€” and I could even be arrested.

 

Instead, I would let the money rest in the account until the proper amount of interest was generated.

 

Then, I was told that β€œa foundation such as one of many Rockefeller entities” would pay me in the form of a grant.

 

I was told that once I got this money, it was mine. I did not have to pay it back. There would be no further strings. It was that simple.

 

(Of course, the truth is that nothing is free and nothing is easy.

 

At the very least, we would have ended up with a β€œscript consultant” who would have steered the message of our film into something that fitted their agenda.)

Yes, just like I watch CNN, for research. You can't fight the enemy without knowing what they are promoting. Also don't like relying on hearsay so prefer to objectionably watch for myself.

It seems very similar to homeland this season, almost straight up propaganda and they are getting more and more desperate with how far they are pushing certain narratives.

Started drinking straight whiskey at ten. Full blown alkie at 18. Totaled 29 cars in 10 years. Raging alcoholic for forty years and was up to a fifth of straight whiskey with beer chasers every night. Court ordered treatment, AA meetings, In House treatment, drank until I walked in the door.

Lost two houses, a wife and been homeless more times than I care to admit to myself. Found a good woman, kept drinking until I almost lost heer too. Sat down after an epic 3 day binge and had a chat with myself about what was more important. Set the bottle down and walked away from it six years ago.

You won't quit until you want to bad enough. When you do you won't need any crutches. Just walk away from it. It ain't easy, I'm not gonna lie to you but it boils down to being able to look yourself in the eyes every morning knowing that whatever happens that day is going to be 1,00 times better than where you were before at it's best.

No one else will do it for you. Make the decision to not drink 12 beers a day and do it. It's not as hard as you think it may be. It's your choice, yours alone. If it isn't in your heart to quit, you won't quit.

I'm an old guy; retired. I got sick and went into the hospital for 2 1/2 weeks before they let me out. I was a 2 pack a day smoker (for over 40 years) when I went in. I quit, cold turkey, while I was in there. They kept asking me if I wanted a nicotine patch and I kept sayin', "nah, I'm good", and I was. Why? 'cause I couldn't smoke so it didn't pschycologically or physically affect me. I can't explain it; it's just the way it was. 4 months out of the hospital, I started smoking again (1/2 pack a day rather than 2 packs)..I missed it and I was depressed without it. And gaining weight. Why am I telling you this? I don't really know. Sometimes, we do what we do. We need to be mature enough, intelligent enough to know what is good for us. And we really don't need a book, doctor, website, etc. to tell us. We know, in our hearts…we know the answer.

I recently watched a YT vid interview with a conservative Catholic. He placed a lot of faith in the Fatima (sp) prophesies. There are many faithful Catholics that understand that Francis is a false Pope. He believes that Francis is just the beginning, and that the Catholic Church will get much worse with the infiltration of Luciferians, before it gets better. The point is, even many Catholics know that their church has been compromised. I wish I could remember the guy’s name. I think Sean from SGT Report interviewed him. It was a great interview.
