Catholic Church Found to Have Spent Over $2 Million Lobbying To Block Child Sex Laws

The Catholic Church was caught lobbying against "The Child Victims Act" which would have helped victims of sex abuse more easily seek justice.

In light of the growing pedophilia and sexual assault scandal rocking the Catholic Church, it is important to remember that not very long ago the organization was found paying off a lobbying firm to block bills related to sex crimes against children.

In 2015, the New York State Catholic Conference, contracted the lobbying groups, Wilson Elser Moskowitz Edelman & Dicker, Patricia Lynch & Associates, Hank Sheinkopf, and Mark Behan Communications to block a bill called the Child Victims Act, which was aimed at making it easier for victims of child sex crimes to come out against their accusers. The bill also sought to extend the statute of limitations for sex crimes, since many victims are too afraid to speak out until too much time has passed to prosecute.

Between 2007 and 2015, the Catholic church in New York only spent more than 2.1 million dollars lobbying on various bills, mostly related to sex offenses.

This week, the Catholic Church got more bad news, as it was announced that the states of New York and New Jersey were launching investigations into how the church has handled sex crimes within its ranks.

Following the announcement, the New York state’s attorney general sent subpoenas to every Catholic representative in the state, requesting any records that were kept in regards to internal investigations of sexual abuse within the church.

The AG is seeking any and all documents pertaining to allegations, findings from internal church investigations and payments to victims, according to a law enforcement source familiar with the investigation but not authorized to speak publicly.

Where is the Holy Catholic Church

we once knew? Today the Church is

beset by scandal and confusion as

accusations of homosexuality

within the ranks of the priests

and bishops increase. Worse than

that, many priests and bishops are

being called sexual predators, or

are said to be covering up the

abuse of minors by their subjects.

These accusations are reaching

even up to the highest levels at

the Vatican, where “Papa”

Bergoglio has a history of

covering up for his predatory

bishops and cardinals.

Those who are suffering from such

abuse deserve our deepest

compassion and our prayers,

because the damage done to their

minds and souls can last a

lifetime. The betrayal of the

innocent is a grave sin and a

horrible crime, as Our Lord

Himself points out:

“Whoever causes one of these

little ones who believe in me to

sin, it were better for him to

have a great millstone hung around

his neck, and to be drowned in the

depths of the sea” (Mt.18:6).

As a result of these stories of

abuse being published by the

media, it appears to the general

public that the Catholic Church is

an evil institution which has no

right to exist. They allege that

the Church by its very nature

encourages predatory behavior. No

doubt we will witness a backlash

of hatred and violence against the

Catholic Church.

But there is more to be told about

these things, and we must be aware

of the rest of the story. The

Church has always been hated by

the world. Its first enemies were

the Jews who refused to accept

Jesus Christ as their Messiah.

They persecuted the Apostles and

threw our first pope, St. Peter,

into prison.

Throughout the centuries the

enemies of the Church have sought

for a way to destroy her. Their

usual method has been to attack

the Church from outside her walls.

In more recent times, however,

they devised a more effective way.

They would infiltrate the Church

by entering the seminaries, and

then becoming priests, bishops,

and cardinals, and even popes.

A prominent French Freemason, Yves

Marsaudon, wrote that as of 1908

the goal is no longer the

destruction of the Church but

rather to make use of it by

infiltrating it (Ecumenism as Seen

by a Traditional Freemason). In

the 1920’s, the seminaries were

infiltrated by homosexuals and

Communists.

Freemasonry being the “Mother”, as

Pope Pius XII called it, Communism

was a “spin-off” of what had

happened earlier in France. In the

year 1936 orders were issued from

the Communist Party in Moscow that

suitable young men be secretly

prepared to enter seminaries and

monasteries to be ordained as

priests. Manning Johnson, a former

official of the Communist Party in

America gave the following

testimony in 1953 to the House

Committee on Un-American

Activities (HUAC):

“The Communist leadership in the

United States realized that the

infiltration tactic in this

country would have to adapt itself

to American conditions… In the

earliest stages it was determined

that with only small forces

available to them, it would be

necessary to concentrate Communist

agents in the seminaries. The

practical conclusion drawn by the

Red leaders was that these

institutions would make it

possible for a small Communist

minority to influence the ideology

of future clergymen in the paths

conducive to Communist purposes…

This policy of infiltrating

seminaries was successful beyond

even our Communist expectations.”

1800s: “The liturgy, ceremonial,

ritual and regulations of the

Rotherham Grooming Trial: Court Hears Victim Raped by 100 ‘Asian’ Men by Age 16

An alleged Rotherham grooming gang victim was raped by 100 ‘Asian’ men by the age of 16 after she was “passed around” by abusers from the age of just 13, a court has heard.

The girl, named only as Girl B in local media, described how she became pregnant and her childhood was “snatched away” as a result of the abuse she allegedly suffered between 1998 and 2001, in a video interview played at Sheffield Crown Court on Friday.

She said: “I can honestly say that by the age of 16 I had slept with 100 Asian men – some I didn’t see again. The ones who come and use you for one time are the ones who are hard to remember.”

“I didn’t know at the time I was being passed around when I was 13 but I know now I’m older,” she said.

absolutely. I'm canning five gallons of tomatoes today- most of it should be going into salsa.

Sure, I could have bought the salsa at the grocery store. One pint jar goes for about $3. I will get 20 jars out of this today. Spent about thirty minutes yesterday harvesting tomatoes, and roughly three hours today working on canning, plus $3 each for the two packets of Ms. Wages.

If I go work at a handyman job, I can make $25 an hour. But I don't want to do that every day. And it's Sunday, so I wouldn't be working today anyway. If I bought all these jars they'd cost me $60.00. 3.5 hours at $25 an hour- this is the stupid math that people usually figure this as- would be $87.50 plus the $6 for the Ms Wages salsa mix.

Technically, this salsa costs me closer to $4.50 per jar. And I don't know for sure what's in the Ms Wages, but I do trust her a bit more than I trust random jars of salsa from the grocery store- my tomatoes are organic- so I've got pretty close to organic salsa for $4.50 a jar.

It's a pain in the ass, but what happens when grocery store salsa goes up to $5 a jar? or $10 a jar? Who's to say it can't happen? One bad crop and that's where we're at.

Are you going to count on jars and lids being available when the shit hits the fan? I reuse my jars AND lids constantly until they are no good. No good means the seal is showing the white underneath and/or the lid is too rusty to trust it for another few years.

All I have to pay for is the heat source, salsa mix, and my time.

It sucks because my wife is busy at work and refuses to mess with any of this on her day off so I hate that part…..so doing it all by myself….. but I made myself do it today because I had 5 gallons of tomatoes in the garden rotting away.

WASHINGTON (JTA) — The Maccabee Task Force, the initiative funded by billionaire philanthropist Sheldon Adelson targeting the campus BDS movement, will double its presence to 80 campuses and for the first time will operate in Canada.

In place since 2016, the task force works with pro-Israel students on programs countering activities of the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement targeting Israel. Last year it funded programs on 40 campuses chosen because of the intensity of BDS activity on the campus.

The task force sends representatives to campuses and solicits ideas from pro-Israel students and groups on campus, then funds those deemed viable. Its most successful program has been to recruit influencers on campus – including student leaders who might already favor BDS – and send them to Israel on fact-finding tours.

In an interview Wednesday, David Brog, who directs the task force, predicted that 70-75 of the 80 campuses with a Maccabee task force will include Israel trips. For the first time, the task force will operate on four or five campuses in Canada, Brog said.
