Can anyone figure the odds?

 

We'd need to know

1) Did he die on Nov. 30. If so, then:

2) How many state funerals there have been.

3) What is the historical Average time from death until a State funeral. (probably most important)

 

This doesn't take into consideration the fact that [D]ec 5 has been mentioned by Q, and congressional testimonies scheduled on that day. These are human factors that can't be easily quantified, if at all.

Q didn't come here to tell everyone that we had our first leak. That breaks the rules of war where you never let the enemy see you bleed. Act weak when you are strong.

 

What did the leak prompt? A funeral. What happened at the last funeral? It was a godamn lizard lounge because these assholes can't communicate so they called an emergency meeting to pass notes. By using the card they were holding (GHWB dead) they get another meeting.

 

Then we get the waves thing. I couldn't find news on a satellite being knocked out, but it would fit what's going on. If they had a new comms system that got hit on 11.11 then they are desperate for a meeting and probably looking for any way possible to pass notes. Money-Laundering Probes

Two other events with a more international scope also have been underway.

Several banks are currently under investigation for a massive money-laundering scandal that is likely to only grow larger.

Danske Bank is being investigated by the U.S. Department of Justice, and new charges were filed this week by Danish authorities.

The bank’s CEO and chairman both have been forced to resign and numerous current employees are under investigation. Danske Bank

On Nov. 29, Deutsche Bank’s headquarters was also raided by German officials. Transactions being examined by investigators relate

board’s floor. Deutsche was one of Danske’s correspondent banks, as are JPMorgan Chase and Bank of America. Any potential

Powell Is Trapped: One Chart "Explains" The Dilemma Facing The Fed

 

The Fed is trapped.

 

As everyone knows by now, and as Deutsche Bank reminds us this morning, rising long-term interest rates in the US since August 27 have triggered a case of "risk off" globally, one which juxtaposed higher interest rates and a low VIX, which DB's team repeatedly noted "cannot coexist."

 

And sure enough it did not, resulting in a VIX that jumped in early October, and remained elevated ever since, at around 20. Meanwhile, higher interest rates triggered a rise in the dollar index, depressing commodities and emerging market currencies as - finally - credit spreads widened rapidly.

 

None of that is new and a similar rise in interest rates and the US dollar took place just a few years ago, back in 2015 following the Chinese yuan devaluation which triggered, via lower commodity prices and emerging market currencies, turmoil in credit markets between December 2015 and February 2016.

 

According to Deutsche Bank, "recent trends are reminiscent of that period."

 

Of course, the 2016 turmoil episode was resolved with the Shanghai Accord: after the G20 summit of 26-27 February 2016, the Fed took back its hawkish stance, and together with the ECB and BoJ deferring on additional easing, the dollar's appreciation corrected, and market liquidity recovered.

 

Fast forward to last week when - pressured by president Trump who called for the Fed to halt rate hikes while hinting he may "replace" Powell - a mini "Shanghai Accord" moment took place when on 28 November, Chairman Powell said the Federal Funds rate is just below the neutral (a dramatic reversal to his October 3 statement that "we are a long way from neutral at this point"). This sparked the view that the pace of rate hikes would slow in 2019, pushing yields down and stocks up.

 

Which in turn brings us to why the Fed is trapped: As Deutsche Bank says, over the short term, lower long-term rates will surely bring about a recovery in global market liquidity. However, with the US is at full employment, inflation still rising, and corporate debt and consumer loans as a ratio of GDP continues to hit new record highs, the Fed is unable to begin a full-blown easing process and even pausing the rate hikes could be seen as betraying its mandates.

 

So, as the economy and credit have grown "to their limits" and do not permit any additional easing without the risk of several economic dislocations in the future, Deutsche Bank's ominous view is that "a major turning point could come within the next 1-2 years", which incidentally is precisely what Morgan Stanley said over the weekend when it previewed 2019 and said it will be the "turning point" year.

 

Confused? Don't be: the following "simple" chart from Deutsche Bank, which recaps the "spread of risk-off sentiment" in 2016, just before the Shanghai Accord, also "explains" the dilemma facing the Fed right now, and why - as a result of fiscal policy which is overheating the economy unlike back in 2016 - Powell is well and truly trapped.

DHS Opposes GOP’s Stealth Bill to Outsource College Graduate Jobs

 

Republican leaders are expected to drop a political stinker on President Donald Trump by mid-December: a donor-backed amendment that would allow investors to import more college-graduates from India to take jobs now held by American college graduates.

The GOP-run amendment puts 300,000 imported Indian temporary workers and 300,000 of their family members on a fast-track to green-cards, Americans’ jobs, citizenship, and the ballot box — but it provides no benefits to middle-class Americans.

 

The GOP amendment would provide Democratic-leaning donors with more imported white-collar workers, more temporary workers, more profits, and higher stock values — but it provides nothing to help the GOP win the 2020 election.

 

Yet the little-known amendment “is very much alive,” a source told Breitbart News.

 

The amendment is hidden in House’s 2019 draft budget plan for the Department of Homeland Security. Reporters have almost entirely ignored the amendment while they focus on the debate over border-wall funding. In turn, business-friendly GOP staffers and legislators do not see the amendment’s political danger or the public opposition, the source said.

 

But the Department of Homeland Security has ended its silence on the plan by telling Breitbart News that it opposes the amendment. “It is important that Congress does due diligence on any proposed sweeping change to our immigration system,” a DHS official told Breitbart News. “The bottom line is Congress needs to ensure what they are passing is in the best interests of the American people.”

 

The planned hit against white collar workers comes as GOP leaders digest their dramatic loss in November of support from college graduate voters. “First of all, it is suburban voters,” retiring Speaker Paul Ryan said on November 29. “That is the number one liability we experienced.”

 

American professionals are protesting the planned expansion of the outsourcing program and flew a banner around D.C. on Thursday, appealing to GOP Majority Leader Rep. Kevin McCarthy because he has the power to shut down the expansion:

Mayotte Pirate Follies

 

Arggh, anons. The King of Mayotte was captured and held to ransom in some intense pirate/bloodline/cover conflict over the Mauritius Comoros Islands.

 

Around 1695 Jamaican-born privateer Captain Lovering and ship's master Robert Colley (along with future pirate captains Nathaniel North and George Booth) cruised off Newfoundland in a 10-gun Barca-longa, having been unsuccessful finding French targets in the West Indes. There they captured three French ships, including the 75-man, 18-gun Pelican.[1]

 

In early 1696 they sailed to Newport, Rhode Island, where they had two of their prizes confirmed and sold off. The Pelican's owners disputed their claim but Colley hired the Deputy Customs Collector, Robert Gardiner, to secure their claim, clear them to leave port, and act as their lawyer. They dismantled the barca-longa and refitted the Pelican, which Colley took command of after Lovering died. Governor Walter Clarke issued them a commission, ostensibly to return captured sailors to Jamaica and engage in privateering en route.[2]

 

Some of the stranded sailors refused to accompany Colley; it was common knowledge that he had no intention of returning to Jamaica,[3] but instead wanted "to cruise on the Moors, not intending to Pirate among the Europeans, but honestly and quietly to rob what Moors be in their way." Clarke and Gardiner[4] were later called to testify over their actions, having been involved with granting privateering commissions to and doing business with a number of known pirates such as Colley, Thomas Tew, Joseph Faro, and William May.[5]

Johnson claims that while at Madagascar, in May 1698 disease overtook the crew; they put ashore to rest but Colley and many of the crew subsequently died.[6] The ship's cooper Joseph Wheeler was made Captain while North was promoted to the quartermaster of the Pelican, which they sailed for the Red Sea.[1] Other sources indicate that COlley may have returned to New England and retired: by late 1699 Colley was among several former pirates and privateers (including Thomas Paine) who petitioned for a parish of the Church of England to be created in Rhode Island.[7]

rule numbers one through fucking ten for any type of poker have exactly fuck all to do with tells. not saying it isnt important or part of the game or whatever. but the fundamental rule of poker is just this: make plays that have positive expected value. this has nothing to do with the simple odds that a hand will hit……it has EVERYTHING to do with the implied odds - which is a multi-step calculation that tries to estimate how often a hand will win AND how much $ will be won when the hand is won. flush draws are often low odds to win……but they earn back because when they hit in the right circumstances the pay out earns back more than the cost of playing them a few times and mucking on the flop/turn.
