Prior to Tuesday night's episode of Hannity on Fox News, President Donald Trump tweeted that his followers should tune into the show. Then the tweet disappeared from Trump's feed.

 

The deletion is unusual for Trump, who often tweets factually or grammatically incorrect content without deleting it.

 

During the broadcast of the advertised episode, host Sean Hannity praised Trump's Twitter feed in glowing terms. “Tonight on Twitter, [Trump is] driving the left predictably, absolutely insane. You’re gonna love this,” Hannity said. The chyron below him read: “Trump On Fire On Twitter."

 

Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington, a nonprofit watchdog organization, criticized Trump's tweet as an advertisement. The organization has challenged Trump on multiple fronts since he took office, claiming that the president is in violation of both the Emoluments Clause of the U.S. Constitution and the Presidential Records Act of 1981.

 

Trump offered no explanation for deleting the tweet about Hannity. A tweet remains from the same time period in which Trump claims he'll be holding some sort of bizarre event on Monday to further attack the news media.

Possible gunman on campus of William Peace University in Raleigh, school officials say

RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) - Authorities said police were investigating a possible gunman on the William Peace University campus in Raleigh on Monday afternoon.

 

The university first posted an alert about the threat on their website on Monday. The alert headline asked everyone to "seek shelter."

 

The alert said: "A possible gunman was reported on his way to campus. Shelter in place until further notice."

 

A later post on Twitter at 1:43 p.m. said: "Raleigh Police is investigating a possible gunman on campus."

 

Earlier, at 1:28 p.m., the university, which is located just north of downtown Raleigh along Peace Street near Capital Boulevard, also posted a tweet with the same original information.

 

The tweet told people to "shelter in place."

 

Several Raleigh police vehicles and officers were seen on campus around 1:35 p.m.

 

As of 2:15 p.m. sirens on campus were still sounding alarms, a CBS 17 reporters on the scene said.

In full disclusure I am a dual citizen… no, not a (((dual citizen))). French American, born state side, raised between the 2. I live in a small town pop 10k about an hour out of one of the big 5 cities in France, Lyon, which is in the south central part of the country. I work for a major infrastructure company that is in part state run. My current work location is an hour from Lyon in a direction perpendicular to where I live.

 

This is what I can tell you all about the protests. The movement started a little more than a month ago. Initially it was people talking online and IRL about how they were fed up and wanted to get out and start shaking things up. This was following an announcement that the state would be raising Diesel taxes. Know that for a very long time here in France, Diesel was the most affordable fuel solution for personal transportation, and as a result, probably 60% of all vehicles in France are diesel engine. Our family car is a diesel, so I was among those affected by the price increases. Between January '18 and September '18 diesel price per Liter of fuel went up about 30% to 40% in price erasing pretty much any advantage to using that type of fuel. People were already grumbling about this when it was announced that a further tax hike on the fuel would be put into effect in January '19. That was the straw that broke the camels back. As the discussions regarding having a national protest movement devellopped, it was suggested that people wear the Yellow Jackets we are all required to have in our cars as a uniform for the movement. That caught on real fast.

 

For several years now there has been growing dissatisfaction with the state of things here. Not everyone has the same gripes, but everyone has gripes. Big ones for a lot of them. Just 6 months ago, the train workers went on a rolling strike, that is to say that over the course of several weeks (about 2 months) they would be on strike 3 days a week, 2 work days and 1 weekend day, in response to privatization of the company and opening to international competition in addition to suppression of smaller regional commuter lines and "restructuration" which is basically downsizing.

 

I make a point to start with this issue as it denotes the irony of the situation as while the state is raising gasoline taxes as a way to pressure people to use public transportation for commutes and travel, they are at the same time removing portions of the mass transit currently available. I myself commute by train to work, and have seen trains removed from the line even though this line is heavily frequented and oftentimes the train is standing room only, even to the point of being crammed in the train like sardines. Their latest modification to the line is to remove 2 of the first 3 trains of the day. When the new schedule goes into effect, early morning commuters will no longer be able to make to their destinations on time as the first train will be 40 minutes later than it currently is. This forces people who currently use public transit to start to commute with their personal vehicle.

 

This should give you an idea of the insanity we are being forced to deal with on an increasing basis.

 

The reasons for the mounting protest movement were varied. In addition to the above, people have been angry about ever increasing cigarette taxes (we are at near 10 USD a pack now). There has been for the past 20 years or more, growing discontent from the medical community, particularly general practitioners as well as nursing staff, who are barred from striking and as a result have not had adequate salary increases since the forming of the EU and who also suffer from oppressive work conditions including long hours and extreme understaffing. Truckers have been complaining about having to compete for work with people from countries who most recently were borderline 3rd world and still have salaries comparable to what was standard prior to entry into the Eurozone. Hardly a work sector does not have major complaints about unfair competition from the poorer EU nations, and rightly so. They are being forced to compete in a situation where their competition costs only 1/3 or less due to differences in minimum wage, operational cost and social system differences resulting in great disparity of tax burdens. Retirees have to deal with living on a fixed income while inflation makes life more expensive each year, the official inflation rate is around 4% but prices have been increasing at a clip of about 10%.

Russia has made public three interrogations of Ukrainian marines taken prisoner during the Kertch incident on 25 November 2018 and a document (photo) seized on board one of the ships.

 

According to this document and these videos, the incident had been planned by Ukraine collaborating with foreign powers. Two officers from Ukraine’s military intelligence service were on board the ships to coordinate operations. They were the ones that forbade the marines from responding to messages from the Russians when the war ships entered Russian territorial waters, waters that Ukraine was claiming to belong to it.

In addition to these complaints which is not an exhaustive list, but rather to give a general idea, there are also political factors. Macron was not elected as the one the French most desired to have. He was the protest vote against Marine Le Pen, whose father was the long time Dangerous Far Right Literally Hitler candidate that the media has been bashing for at least a generation, if not longer. At least since I have been in France. You must also know that when the time came for France to join the Euro, a referendum vote was held to gauge the public opinion on joining. The vote was heavily against joining, but it was done all the same. A certain portion of the population still resents that, myself included. There is growing discontent regarding Brussels and their non representation of French interests. French culture has been greatly modified in order to adhere to "common Euro values" which has meant always a loss of freedom. In addition, there is growing discontent with the uncontrolled and unchecked immigration into the country. The jungle in Calais has been getting worse and worse over the last year or 2. It has become absolute anarchy. I used to live in the North of the country and went to college just about a mile from where the jungle is, so I know the area rather well, and I still go up that way because I have friends there. The landscape has been completely changed by their presence. The camp is huge, probably bigger than stated. Its hard to tell from the ground, especially when driving by at 90 mph. The people occupying the area are becoming more and more brazen, and increasingly violent. The Calais camp isn't the only one, nor is it the largest. There are several such camps around the country. In Paris there was one setup by the Seine that had to be displaced because it was impacting tourism. Now it is in the banlieue. Here in Lyon there are seveal spread around town. Shanty towns pop up regularly, grow, and then are removed by city order usually due to complaints by local residents following crime spikes.

 

So understand that when I say that the protests are coming from a variety of groups and for a variety of reasons, understand that this encompasses people and philosophies spanning the full political spectrum from left to right.

 

Now to what I have seen on the ground. Its funny, on my way to the train station this morning, I passed by a couple of schoolboys, around 12 or so, chanting "Down With Macron" on their way to school. That is what reminded me that I was asked to make this post. Each week and weekend since the start of the protests, multiple roads in the area I live in and the area I work in have been blocked off by the protestors. Generally they block the roads leading to the Autoroute system which are our pay highways. What is referred to as Turnpikes in the US. The ones they haven't blocked, they have opened the pay barriers so that travellers may get on and off without having to pay toll. I not only encounter these in my daily activities, but my coworkers also talk about it regularly. About being stuck in traffic when going through the chokepoints. A few coworkers also participate in the protests, one of whom (which I suspect is a communist) was one of the organizers for the local protest being run out of his village. There are probably as many people in the countryside protesting as there are in the cities. To give you an example, I live in a town of 10k people. Even in our town, there were several hundred people marching down our main street last weekend. They have taken over the roundabout at the Autoroute exit and have been for the most part allowing traffic through. They had farmers with them and so have some heavy equipment at their disposal. Many of the people in my town have the yellow jacket in their windshield (sign that they are in solidarity with the movement) some have it in the windows of their homes.

Report from French-American living near Lyon part 3 of 3

 

At this point in the writing I have just come back from lunch break. All anyone was talking about today are the protests and blockades. From what they were saying, not only did the local blockades not die down, they have intensified over the weekend and are being run more intelligently than previously. The majority of my coworkers are in support of the Yellow Jackets and a few of them were even active participants. The ones who are not in support are being rather quiet regarding the discussions, though over coffee, one of them spoke up and said that all of this was making him deeply worried about the future of the nation, that he did not think that this movement was in the interrest of the French people for the long run and that it would end badly. This ended with me schooling him about the origins of Macron, the Rothchilds, Agenda 21 and Operation Gladio. By the time I was finished he didn't know what to say. He told me all that was interesting and he would have to think it over. I told him not to take my word for it all, but to read up on it himself.

 

MSM has been downplaying everything. If you were to believe them, there are only a few hundred people here and there making a big mess of everything. I think this is great, because they are just discrediting themselves since everyone is talking about this and sharing information. This allows people to see the contrast between what is spoonfed to them and what they are able to collectively glean.

 

Word out this morning is that the National Assembly (basically our Senate) is being blockaded by Ambulance workers, refineries are being blocked by Yellow Jackets, The ports are all blockaded, schools are shut down by students and teachers protesting and the movement is growing by leaps and bounds. There is a mixture of excitement and anxiety in the air. People want something to happen and soon, but there is a level of worry that the state is going to crack down. A number of people are talking about the excessive force the CRS and Police have been using. There are rumors of people having been killed. Videos circulating that are difficult to interpret because of being shot from a distance and without context regarding before or after. Stories of firemen and police joining the protests are starting to be heard, if that is indeed true, than it is over for Macron. He would have to call out the Army or Special Forces and I have a feeling neither will be willing to act against the population.

 

That is about all I have to contribute to the discussion for now, but I've got my ears open so if anything happens that I find out about, or if I manage to record anything interesting, I'll make sure to post it here.

US spy plane photographed during a reconnaissance near the Strait of Kertch The international media has not presented us with an accurate picture of what went down in the Strait of Kertch. The media has been trying to make us think that it was an act by Russia to limit international maritime traffic. In my opinion, this incident can have serious military consequences for Russia and could lead to the loss of Crimea.

 

The ground troops do not always have enough information on the enemy and therefore turn to a process known as “reconnaissance” to gather more information. For example, a reconnaissance group, which moves about in very mobile vehicles, engages in combat against the enemy for a few minutes. Then, if it is not captured, the group withdraws ever so quickly.

 

At the time of the incident that occurred on 25 November 2018 in the Strait of Kertch, two small Ukrainian armed battleships (Berdyansk and Nikopol), class Gyurza-M, executed a reconnaissance mission. Their aim was not to cross the Kertch Strait but to kick off a reaction of the Russian combat set up, tasked with defending a bridge, running above the strait. The two ships were ideally suited for this type of mission. This is because they are the fastest and far easier to manœuvre than the very well armed ships belonging to the Coast Guard and Navy.

 

This is the visible part of the incident. There was another aspect, which in contrast, was invisible, and yet far more important than the media made it out to be.

 

In fact, the information the fruit of “the reconnaissance operation” was not collected by the reconnaissance group that is in contact with the enemy, which in this case is, the small ships (Berdyansk and Nikopol) belonging to the Ukrainian military navy. The information was gathered by another reconnaissance structure which acts in secret. This secretive structure, is specialised in putting in place for surveillance the enemy reaction (that is, the defence set up of the Russian bridge and the Strait of Kertch) thanks to points of land observations, air resources, naval resources, systems for intercepting radio frequency emissions, radar/infrared detection systems, etc. The Ukrainian army has not deployed as complex a reconnaissance set up near the Strait of Kertch, because it does not have the resources to do so. But as we have already demonstrated in a previous article published a little while before the incident, the United States and Israel have become very active in the region.

 

5 November 2018: a Su-27 Russian plane intercepted a US plane ELINT EP-3E, series 157316, indicator AS17. This Russian plane had taken off from the base of Souda on the island of Crete, flying close to Crimea’s territorial waters. On 19 November, an Israeli reconnaissance plane Gulfstream G-550 Nachshon Aitam (indicator of flight 537) flew over the Black Sea around the Strait of Kertch.

 

The incident that took place in the Strait of Kertch was closely observed for an entire day by US reconnaissance planes, SIGINT. One of them, type RC-135V, series 64-14841, indicator JONAS 21, based in the Souda Bay, on the island of Crete, flew over the coast looking onto the Black Sea, near Crimea. A second US aircraft, a drone of high altitude, type RQ-4B, series 11-2047, indicator FORTE10, flew to the east of Ukraine near the Azov Sea. This drone, the RQ-4B. is controlled from the US naval base at Sigonella, which is located on the island of Sicily.

 

On 27 November another reconnaissance plane P-8A, series 168859, executed a reconnaissance flight in the Strait of Kerch and Crimea from the base at Sigonella.

Signals intelligence (SIG-INT) is a system of surveillance that includes the interception of the following:

• Communications Intelligence (also known as COM-INT): radio, mobile phone, channels of data transmission and Internet;

• Electronic intelligence (also known as EL-INT): radar signals and other devices for navigation, detection or disturbance: infrared, laser, etc.

 

Thanks to these devices, which are fitted in the reconnaissance planes, the incident sparked off by the Ukrainian planes in the Strait of Kertch has enabled the US to have a detailed grasp of the following: – Composition and location of the Russian land and maritime set up destined to protect the strait. – Management structure of the situation and the radio frequencies used – Stages of the procedure for intervention – Responsibilities of the different Russian air, land and naval sub-units, under the Cooperation Plan. – Sectors that are badly defended or vulnerable.

 

Thus, whilst the small Ukrainian boats and their crews have been arrested by the Russian forces, they have done what they were supposed to do. A mission that could only have come from the United States.

Comprised of 18 infrastructure organizations, the D5 Coalition was a five year effort organized in 2010 to create a strategic agenda and help philanthropy become more diverse, equitable, and inclusive. It has become a growing collaboration of foundations large and small, individual donors, regional and national associations, and organizations that focus on diverse communities.

 

As the U.S. population becomes increasingly diverse, the D5 Coalition understood the need for funders to reflect their constituencies and their rich variety of perspectives. In order to achieve greater impact, the D5 Coalition believed that change needed to come from within and that philanthropy needed to best represent the people that it was supporting. Back in 2006, the Greenlining Institute report found that less than 8% of funding was given to organizations of color. As a result, legislation was introduced to encourage foundations to report their demographics.

 

In 2010, the D5 Coalition was created to allow philanthropic institutions to more effectively increase diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). The D5 Coalition had a goal to increase the number of people of color at the senior level, increase funding granted to diverse communities, improve data collection for the field, and highlight best practices. In the beginning, many foundations did not know where to start as it related to data and DEI. Therefore, D5 developed a roadmap to which foundations could refer and facilitated peer learning so foundations could share stories of what was working well. The Coalition recognized that the sector needed systematic data collection to better evaluate the number of people of color in philanthropy and to understand to whom grantmaking dollars were given.

 

For five years, the D5 Coalition discovered best practices and disseminated them to the sector. While 2015 marked the formal end of the Coalition, D5 has for the past two years conducted a formal evaluation and assessment of its work. The Final State of the Work report used storytelling to share the state of philanthropy, discuss foundations’ experiences, and give advice to peer organizations. Although there are gaps in capacity, change is happening. The sector now has concrete data that it can use for benchmarking and evaluating progress towards change. There is also increased will among philanthropic institutions to collect data and use it to inform grantmaking.  Furthermore, diversity, equity, and inclusion has become a part of the discourse in philanthropy.

 

For those looking to replicate this work, the D5 Coalition tells its peers that effective change comes with collaboration, guidance, and proper communication between the sector and the communities it serves. The Coalition encourages others to approach philanthropic organizations where they are, not where they should be because every organizations’ DEI journey is unique. Organizations should just dive in because this work and its impact is not optional. UN climate change conference begins in Katowice, Poland

 

Prime ministers and presidents are amongst the 30,000 people from around the world to begin negotiations on Monday at the United Nations conference on climate change hosted in Katowice, Poland, Radio Poland reports.

 

This is the 24th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, otherwise known as COP24 and it runs through 14 December.

 

For the third time, Poland is hosting the conference, having hosted it once in Warsaw in 2013 and in Poznań in 2008. This year the Polish Deputy Environment Minister Michał Kurtyka, took over the presidency of the UN climate summit and will hold the presidency until the COP25 summit, in 2019.

 

The aim of the conference is to slow climate change and to choose how to enact the 2015 Paris Climate agreement. Border controls have been temporarily reinstated in Poland during the conference.

The report on the arrest did not say where or when the film was shot but quoted an unnamed source as saying Kai was a long-time drug user who held “sex parties” with other Buddhists at Tongshan Temple, where he was based.

 

Authorities at the temple, in the Gongguan township on Taiwan’s northwest coast, said the 29-year-old was expelled on November 13 for “religious discipline problems.”

 

The report also claimed that two months before being expelled, Kai relocated to the Miaoli Chongfo Temple in the nearby Miaoli county with “dozens of believers.”

 

He was considered a rising star in Buddhism in Taiwan. He was an influential figure among younger devotees and frequently gave lectures at summer camps.

 

During the search of his quarters, the police found 19 grams of amphetamine, smoking pipes, condoms, anal relaxants, erection medication, and a bottle of “holy water” filled with lube. They also discovered two USB drives containing over 200GB of porn, which includes homosexual intercourse videos starring the monk himself. In the available videos and related activities, almost a couple of dozen people were engaged, including other inhabitants of the temple complex.

 

Presumably, the abbot of the monastery knew about what was happening and deliberately covered up this activity, hoping to cast the misfortune into another holy place.

 

Kai denied any wrongdoing and said the footage was released as part of a smear campaign. Kai claimed that a fellow monk, who was one of his former lovers, leaked the videos to tarnish his reputation. This rhetoric, which we believed had been abandoned, assimilates three states (the Russian Federation, the Syrian Arab Republic and the Islamic Republic of Iran) as machines in the service of three men (Bachar el-Assad, Ali Khamenei and Vladimir Putin) who are united by the same hatred of their respective peoples. It ignores the massive popular support they enjoy, while the United States are profoundly torn apart.

 

We can leave aside the stupid assertion that Russia is aiding and abetting the conquest of the Arab world by Persia.

 

According to the US Secretary of the Treasury, Steven Mnuchin, who presented the unilateral US sanctions on 20 November, they do not form the economic section of the present war, but are intended to punish the « atrocities » committed by these three « régimes ». However, on the verge of winter, they mostly concern the supply of refined petroleum to the Syrian people so that they may light their homes and keep warm.

 

It is not necessary to specify that the three states targeted deny the « atrocities » of which they are accused, while the United States pursue the wars that they started in Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya and Syria.

Three Senior Executives at Defense Contracting Firms Charged with Scheme to Defraud the U.S. Military in Connection with $8 Billion Troop Supply Contract and with Violating the Iran Sanctions Regime

Three men were charged in an indictment returned Nov. 27 for their roles in a scheme to defraud U.S. Military contracts in Afghanistan, engaging in illegal commerce in Iran, and laundering money internationally. Their conduct was in connection to two multi-million dollar contracts to provide supplies and logistical support to U.S. troops in Afghanistan.

Assistant Attorney General Brian A. Benczkowski of the Justice Department’s Criminal Division, Special Agent in Charge Patrick J. Lechleitner of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) Washington, D.C. and Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction (SIGAR) John F. Sopko made the announcement.

Abul Huda Farouki, 75, of McLean, Virginia; his brother Mazen Farouki, 73, of Boyce, Virginia; and Salah Maarouf, 71, of Fairfax, Virginia, were each charged in an indictment filed in the District of Columbia with two counts of major fraud, one count of conspiracy to violate the restrictions on doing business with Iran, four counts of substantive violations of those restrictions, and one count of conspiracy to commit international money laundering. The defendants made their initial appearance on Nov. 29 before Judge G. Michael Harvey. All were arraigned and pleaded not guilty. The next hearing is scheduled for Dec. 6 before Judge Trevor N. McFadden.

The indictment alleges that Abul Huda Farouki was the chief executive officer of Anham FZCO, a defense contractor based in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), which maintained offices in Dubai, UAE, Jordan and the United States. Mazen Farouki was the President and Founder of Unitrans International Incorporated, an international logistics company with close ties to Anham. Defendant Salah Maarouf operated a company that procured goods and services for Anham.

(Washington, DC) – Judicial Watch announced today that it filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit against the U.S. Department of Justice for all records of communications involving any investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s (FBI) into the Clinton Foundation (Judicial Watch v. U.S. Department of Justice (No. 1:18-cv-02536).

 

Judicial Watch filed the lawsuit after the agency failed to respond to a May 4, 2018, FOIA request for:

 

All records of communication, including but not limited to e-mails (whether sent or received on .gov or non-.gov e-mail accounts), text messages, or instant chats, sent between officials in the offices of the FBI Director, Deputy Director and General Counsel on the one hand, and officials in the offices of the Attorney General, Deputy Attorney General and or Principal Associate Deputy Attorney General on the other hand, regarding the closure or possible closure of an investigation into the Clinton Foundation.

 

The timeframe of the request was given as between January 1, 2016 and December 31, 2016.

 

A Judicial Watch FOIA lawsuit led directly to the disclosure of the illicit Clinton email system in 2015.

 

In August 2016, a related Judicial Watch FOIA lawsuit broke open the story and began making conflict of interest documents public, showing that in April 2009 controversial Clinton Foundation official Doug Band pushed for a job for an associate. In the email Band tells Hillary Clinton’s former aides at the State Department Cheryl Mills and Huma Abedin that it is “important to take care of [Redacted]. Band is reassured by Abedin that “Personnel has been sending him options.” Band was co-founder of Teneo Strategy with Bill Clinton and a top official of the Clinton Foundation, including its Clinton Global Initiative.

 

Included in that document production was a 2009 email in which Band, directs Abedin and Mills to put Lebanese-Nigerian billionaire and Clinton Foundation donor Gilbert Chagoury in touch with the State Department’s “substance person” on Lebanon. Band notes that Chagoury is “key guy there [Lebanon] and to us,” and insists that Abedin call Amb. Jeffrey Feltman to connect him to Chagoury.

 

Judicial Watch has since uncovered many other instances of seeming pay-to-play and favoritism for the Clinton Foundation at the Clinton State Department.

 

In January 2016, the FBI reportedly began investigating the Clinton Foundation, as it expanded from the email probe. In October 2016, FBI agents were told they did not have “enough evidence to move forward” with their investigation of the Foundation.
