A man has died after jumping from the Hyatt Regency Hotel into the atrium area of Orlando International Airport Saturday morning, according to reports.

Attorneys from Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s office are the prosecutors locked in a mysterious grand jury subpoena fight that a state-owned foreign company has taken all the way to the Supreme Court, court records now confirm.

A docket unsealed by the U.S. District Court in Washington shows two prosecutors from Mueller’s office, Scott Meisler and Zainab Ahmad, are handling the dispute on behalf of the special counsel.

The country and the company resisting Mueller’s demand for information have still not been publicly identified, but the district court and a federal appeals court confirmed this week that Atlanta-based Alston and Bird is representing the firm at the center of the fight.

Alston and Bird’s clients have included Russian interests including a Russian oligarch, although it’s unclear if the present fight involves a company from Russia or elsewhere.

The dispute has proceeded with unusual secrecy, including — until now — the names of the lawyers for both sides being withheld by the three different federal courts to grapple with the matter.

However, with journalists pressing for more access to the details of the fight, the district court released a docket sheet Wednesday laying out a timeline of the filings in the dispute. With no fanfare, the same court posted a slightly less redacted version of that docket online Thursday.

The new version revealed the names of Meisler and Ahmad, as well as four attorneys for the foreign company: Brian Boone, Ted Kang, Emily Costin and Karl Geercken.

On Friday, the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals unsealed a document also naming Boone and Kang as lawyers for the company in that court. The Friday order making that document public also discloses that the opposition to unsealing the records has come from Mueller’s prosecutors, at least in recent weeks.

The government kept a record book that showed the amounts it owed individual citizens but otherwise issued no bonds, promissory notes (IOUs), certificates of indebtedness, or other proof of indebtedness. The government’s creditors received 4 percent interest per year, but the government did not pay down the principal on the loans. The citizens of Venice began exchanging ownership of these government obligations to transact business, turning these government obligations into a circulating medium of exchange like any other form of money. Money transactions settled by entries in books were much more convenient than coined money transactions, particularly when large amounts were involved. The citizens of Venice soon voluntarily deposited specie with the “bank” in return for book entry deposits that could be transferred to other depositors in any amount.

In 1587 the Venetian government established the Bank of Venice as the Banco del Piazza del Rialto. As early as 1374 a committee of scholars had proposedthe formal organization of a public bank, but no action was taken for over two centuries. By the late 1500s other Italian cities had already established public banks, costing Venice claims of priority in the history of banking. The credit for the first beginnings of modern banking practices, however, belongs to Venice.

The Venetian practice of banking on the security of government loans survived into the modern period. Today in the United States the Federal Reserve System issues Federal Reserve Notes and deposits at Federal Reserve Banks, holding government bonds as securities against these notes and deposit liabilities.

Flights delayed after TSA agent dies in apparent suicide at Orlando airport

ORLANDO, Fla. - Flights were delayed and security checkpoints swelled to a standstill after a TSA agent at the Orlando International Airport jumped from a balcony into an atrium in front of hundreds of travelers on Saturday morning.

Police said the TSA agent was a man in his 40s and was found in critical condition. After the jump he was rushed to the hospital where he later died. Police said that preliminary information indicates this was an apparent suicide.

Police confirmed its investigation on Twitter Saturday morning just before 10 a.m. About 30 minutes later, police confirmed the person had died.

Airport officials said people waiting to go through security for terminals 70 through 129 rushed past screening following the incident. As a result, those terminals closed while officials made sure everyone went through security.

In 2010, the Supreme Court ruled that cities and states may not abridge “the right to possess a handgun in the home for the purpose of self-defense.” It has not heard a Second Amendment case since, leaving most lower courts to assume that the right to bear arms applies “in the home,” as the justices ruled. But on Tuesday, the court agreed to review a New York City law that limits gun owners’ ability to transport their guns outside the home. And it appears quite likely that the new conservative majority will, for the very first time, extend the Second Amendment beyond the front door and out into the streets, unleashing lower courts to strike down long-standing restrictions on the public carrying of firearms.

The case at hand, New York State Rifle & Pistol Association v. New York, is an ideal vehicle for gun-rights activists. Since 2008’s D.C. v. Heller and 2010’s McDonald v. Chicago, groups like the National Rifle Association have urged the courts to create a constitutional right to public carry. The goal is to prohibit the government from barring “concealed carry” and “open carry” of firearms, allowing most Americans to possess a gun in public, whether it’s hidden or flaunted. Results have been mixed. The U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit found a right to concealed carry outside the home. So did the 7th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals. The 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, by contrast, found no Second Amendment right to carry a concealed handgun in public. Police have arrested Bill Clinton’s faith healer for running Brazil’s largest ever child sex ring.

Shockingly, she claims young girls were held captive in remote farms where they were forced to produce babies – before being murdered after 10 years of giving birth.

In a video, Bittencourt, whose organisation, Coame, helps women report sexual assault by religious leaders, said she has spoken to women from at least three continents, including Europe, who claimed they bought Brazilian babies from John of God for as much as £40,000.

And she claimed she has collected testimony from former members of Teixeira’s gang, which described how the scheme worked after they became “tired of being complicit” in his crimes.

Bittencourt, who now lives outside Brazil under the protection of international organisations after receiving death threats for her work, claimed Teixeira would offer money to poor girls aged 14 to 18 to go and live in mineral mines or farms he owns in the Brazilian states of Goias and Minas Gerais.

There they would become sex slaves at and be forced to get pregnant and give birth to their babies.

She claims: “In exchange for food, they were impregnated and their babies sold on the black market.

“Hundreds of girls were enslaved over years, lived on farms in Goias, served as wombs to get pregnant, for their babies to be sold.

“These girls were murdered after 10 years of giving birth. We have got a number of testimonies.”

Post #2626 happens to say, "the clock is ticking," with a time stamp of 3:11:25. To me, this screams "Mark!" and when someone says, the clock is ticking, what hand on the clock do you "mark" or pay attention to, as in mark my word? The second hand position? 25?

If you add to that marked seconds position (3:11:[25]) the countdown sequence of 3 minutes: "14 seconds, 15 seconds…" in post 2627…

As long as people have been having sex, there have been women having abortions. The American debate over whether a woman should have the right to end her pregnancy is a relatively new phenomenon. Indeed, for America’s first century, abortion wasn’t even banned in a single US state. And abortion was generally "socially" permissible until a woman felt a fetus move, or “quicken.”

However, this changed dramatically in the 19th century. Social pressure and education had been effective abortion deterrents in the past, but as the morality of America grew more relaxed, abortion gained a larger foothold in American life, so lawmakers started dealing with it specifically and explicitly. In 1821, the first abortion legislation was passed in Connecticut, and lawmakers elsewhere did their best to keep up. New York legislation changed on abortion 10 times between 1828 and 1881.13 The frequency of abortion, however, continued to increase.

During the 1840's and 1850's, 13 states passed laws forbidding abortion at any stage. Three others made abortion illegal after quickening. In 1856, the Iowa Supreme Court held that pre-quickening abortion was not a crime, but in the next legislature, the prohibitions against pre-quickening abortions were restored.

The laws every state passed by 1880 banned abortions in all cases but for “therapeutic reasons” that were largely left up to the medical practice and the legal system to determine. In practice, that meant wealthier women with better access to doctors had abortions, while many other women did not. And as other countries began liberalizing their abortion laws, women who could afford it began circulating pamphlets on how to make the trip.

Abortion made its biggest gains, however, on the back of another infamous and fast-growing American practice: prostitution. By the middle of the 19th century, there were somewhere in the vicinity of 60,000 prostitutes employed in America. With not much in the way of birth control, and with an average of 30-40 sexual encounters a week, frequent pregnancy was a given. Abortionists entered the field driven by profit and the related business of extorting money from the johns.

And the abortion bans were wholly unsuccessful as a total lack of enforcement made such laws almost useless. As one anti-abortion crusader lamented "It is not possible to get twelve men together without at least one of them being personally responsible for the downfall of a girl, or at least interested in getting her out of her difficulty." And as laws continued to go unenforced a general public apathy combined to have a snow-ball effect and opposition to abortion began to lose much of its moral framework.

In 1967, Colorado and California became the first states to legalize abortion for pregnancies that resulted from rape or incest, for pregnancies that threatened the life of the mother, or for pregnancies of severely handicapped children. Over the next three years, Alaska, Arkansas, Delaware, Georgia, Hawaii, Kansas, Maryland, Mississippi, New Mexico, North Carolina, Oregon, South Carolina and Virginia all followed suit. At the time of that decision in 1972, a Gallup poll found that a majority of Americans (64 percent) thought “the decision to have an abortion should be made solely by a woman and her physician.” That’s no longer the case, as abortion has become hopelessly partisan,yet among most people, (if not politicians) abortion is not nearly as controversial as the headlines might suggest. The most recent Gallup data shows that exactly half of Americans say abortion should be “legal only under certain circumstances,” while a third say it should be legal in all circumstances. RUSSIAN TROLL ACCOUNTS PURGED BY TWITTER PUSHED QANON, OTHER CONSPIRACIES

A new batch of troll accounts identified by Twitter as having ties to Russia’s propaganda operation revealed an emphasis on promoting far-right conspiracy theories such as Qanon to Americans.

Twitter announced Thursday the removal of 418 accounts tied to the Kremlin-backed Internet Research Agency, the disinformation group whose employees were indicted by special counsel Robert Mueller last February for attempted election interference.

The accounts’ tweets featured the hashtag #MAGA, usually in support of President Donald Trump, almost 38,000 times — the most of any hashtag. #ReleaseTheMemo, a social media campaign pushed by allies of the president last year that aimed to discredit some members of the FBI, was tweeted 37,583 times.

In all, the 400-some accounts tweeted more than 900,000 tweets.

At the time, close allies of Trump brushed off suggestions that #ReleaseTheMemo, which trended on Twitter, was boosted by Russian influence. “Russian trolls have nothing to do with releasing the memo. That was a vote of the intelligence committee,” counselor to the president Kellyanne Conway said last February.

Some now-purged users spammed Twitter with tweets repeating the hashtag “#ReleaseTheMemo.”

When removing the spam-style messages that included multiple hashtags, the second-most tweeted topic for the Russian troll accounts was #Qanon, a baseless conspiracy theory that claims Mueller and Trump are secretly working together to take down a global pedophile ring run by celebrities and Democratic politicians.

#GreatAwakening and #FollowTheWhiteRabbit, which are catchphrases for #Qanon followers, also featured prominently in the Russian trolls’ tweets.

Nina Jankowicz, a global fellow at the Kennan Institute focusing on Russia and technology, told NBC News that Qanon’s often outlandish narratives about a secret global cabal fueled by the United States fits well with Russian propaganda’s larger narrative.

“One of the Kremlin’s favorite tactics is to inspire confusion and doubt to sow distrust in government. Qanon certainly does that,” Jankowicz said.

“Amplifying the conspiracy theory also makes it look like it has more supporters, distracting from more substantive issues in the online discourse.”

Qanon, a more elaborate offshoot of the “pizzagate” conspiracy theory, came to prominence when several Trump supporters showed up at the president’s rally in Tampa, Florida, this past August carrying “Q” signs and wearing T-shirts supporting the conspiracy.

In the last year, believers in the conspiracy have also been in armed standoffs with the police in Arizona, and one blocked the Hoover Dam demanding the “Release of the OIG Report,” a Qanon-based conspiracy theory loosely derived from the success of #ReleaseTheMemo.

All of the 30 most-used hashtags pushed by the suspected Russian troll accounts focused on either support for Trump, conspiracy theories that targeted his political opponents or a separate — but sometimes overlapping — trolling campaign that meant to demean Muslims.

The hashtags #IslamIsTheProblem, #StopImportingIslam and #BanShariaLaw were each tweeted more than 15,000 times by the 481 Russian troll accounts.

The accounts attempted to emulate Americans on both sides of the political aisle.

One account identified by Twitter as a Russian troll account, @QuartneyChante, posed as an African-American woman. One of her tweets received more than 66,000 retweets.

“Dear White People. It’s a privilege to learn about racism instead of experiencing it your whole life,” the tweet read.

The account was even featured in several news articles, including a Mashable story dubbed “Dear white women: Here’s how to step up for women of color.”

Jankowicz said the widespread dissemination of the tweets is a good reminder not to trust everything you read on social media.

“That account was created fairly recently and gained a lot of traction quickly, it seems,” Jankowicz said. “It’s pretty sad, but unless accounts use a plausible name and personal photo on Twitter, I’d advise users against interacting with them.”

We reported in July 2018 that Twitter has long been accused of censoring conservatives. Twitter was indeed censoring and shadowbanning the President of the United States, Donald Trump’s twitter account, @realDonaldTrump.

In July 2018 we reported that a study by the leftist website VICE News found that Twitter is censoring top pro-Trump lawmakers. Twitter is targeting pro-Trump Republican lawmakers Matt Gaetz, Devin Nunes, Mark Meadows, Jim Jordan and John Ratcliffe with the same shadowbanning technique.

Twitter is also censoring prominent pro-Trump accounts including: Mike Cernovich, Jack Posobiec, Paul Joseph Watson, TGP’s Jim Hoft, TGP’s Cassandra Fairbanks and Laura Loomer among others.

Last year Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) told the Daily Caller Foundation on Wednesday he is considering filing a FEC complaint over Twitter’s preferential treatment of liberals versus its censoring of prominent conservatives.

In July there was even video proof that President Trump’s Twitter page is being censored.

Gateway Pundit contributor Cristina Laila received a notice in 2018 that her tweet violated Pakistani law.
