There are countless attacks by the media in an orchestrated campaign. We are at war with the corrupt establishment, and they are fighting back with vengeance. There are countless millions devoted to shaping these narratives, much like Fusion GPS, ShareBlue and others.

 

This board is not much different from any comment section on a site, and yes they get paid to “shape” opinion there too. QAnon posts are entirely independent of our research around them. For casual observers, the notables are the primary thing to pay attention to, especially when shaping your opinion. Sometimes we get it wrong and our interpretations shouldn’t be attributed to QAnon.

 

When you see something that’s outrageous or fitting these “narratives”:

You must first understand this is open to anyone, anywhere. Posts are made to try and attribute the most outlandish and unrelated things to our work. The most common are hateful towards a given group or wild or bizarre claims that we call “slides” where it’s intended to distract from major news, Q drops or findings. These are entirely planted, and users are paid to do so. There has even been evidence of “journalists” making such posts themselves for a story, as nothing prevents this. This is intended to support the fake mews narrative that we are loons etc and discourage others from joining us. Everyone knows the Chan’s are the wild west of the internet, so it’s VERY disingenuous to label QAnon based on what is seen here at a glance.

 

The ruse is easy to spot:

Their “narratives” are never in notables.They don’t contribute to any meaningful discussion, regardless of the gravity of the news. They also engage in attacks on other anons who call them out. They have much higher post counts, usually well over 15. This is viewed as disrespectful to other anons, as there are limits on each thread to the number of replies. This is especially rude when their posts are repeated between threads that could easily be compressed into one post (by linking to prior posts as a courtesy.)

My reading of this ambiguous drop is that Sessions was seeking an independent judgment of his own limitations from his prior recusal of the Russia SC probe supervision. My further reading is that the SCOTUS guidance freed him up to act on surrounding issues without running afoul of his recusal restrictions.

Recusals are always taken within one branch. Judges don't look for recusal advice from DOJ, and DOJ doesn't seek recusal advice from the courts.

Hacktivists are spreading booby-trapped copies of the New Zealand mass shooter's Islamophobic rantings, in what is being described as an online "vigilante" operation.

 

Security house Blue Hexagon claims it discovered a version of the killer's manifesto doing the rounds online containing Windows malware that, when executed with the necessary privileges, reboots the system and leaves the user staring at an anti-racist message. The idea being to punish those who seek out the document, it appears.

 

The software nasty pulls this off by overwriting the boot drive's master boot record (MBR), a data structure needed to start up the operating system after power on or a reboot, to just display the text, and then restarts the machine for good measure.

 

While the manifesto – a meme-laden soup of troll-tastic nihilistic nonsense – has been outlawed in New Zealand for inciting murder and terrorism, the file continues to circulate in underground forums. Links to the MediaFire-hosted doctored rant, we're told, were first shared on Twitter, and 8chan – the LinkedIn-for-pedos forum site frequented by the Christchurch gunman whose name is not worth the bytes repeating here.

 

According to Blue Hexagon, the MBR-altering malware itself isn't embedded directly inside the poisoned manifesto, being sent around as a .docx, but rather it is downloaded and executed by an obfuscated Visual Basic script within the document that triggers when opened and run.

 

"The weaponized version of the document resembles content from the original manifesto but does have several distinguishing features," Blue Hexagon's Irfan Asrar explained this week.

The script in the document fetches a second file called haka.exe – the Haka being a traditional dance of the Maori, the indigenous people of New Zealand – and here is where the real damage is done. The executable scribbles over the MBR on the host, and then forces a reboot.

 

As the machine restarts, the user is presented with a black screen and the message in red text: "This is not us!" That's a phrase shared by anti-racists, in an attempt to unite and heal, after attacks by white nationalists.

 

"Other than being disruptive, there is no motivation; such as a monetary one to be found in this attack," Asrar concluded. Consult your operating system's recovery and repair tools to rebuild the MBR if for some reason you're hit with this malware. ®

There are a lot of people who would be happy with JUST their OT. If there employers could hire enough people, that OT would shrink … but they can't find them. Not for love … not for money. Nobody seems to want to start in the trades for starting money. Employers have to eat the mistakes they make and those are expensive … so, until you can show that you simply don't MAKE the mistakes, the wages are not exceptional. Prove that you can read, write, listen, learn and apply specific and detailed information and the money will happen. If it doesn't, walk out the door and on down the street.

With about 5 years each in the trades, my sons are getting ready to buy their own homes. They are not looking for "starter" homes and they are in an expensive market (Minneapolis). The youngest also has me scouting for a vacation home in NC.

My sons also can support their own families on a single income. If you millennials have any dreams of having a traditional family, skilled trades is a good way to get there.

 

I think millennials are making a major mistake aiming for the white collar (heavily in student loan debt) jobs.

 

With all of the manufacturing that is now coming back, who is going to work in the plants? I'm not talking about button pusher / box taper jobs … I'm asking "who is going to build and set-up the plants and machinery?"

 

If we can't cough up a skilled labor pool DAMNED SOON, this Renaissance will fail. This is why Ivanka is pushing companies to begin training their own workers again. We DO NOT have enough trade schools and even the junior colleges ARE NOT up to the task.

You'd be surprised how many details go into drilling a simple hole through ordinary soft steel. The guys you millennials laugh at are the guys who can do it … and you can't. When they hear you rant about their Dads, boomers, they chuckle. You are SO fucked … because you aren't even nominally competent.

 

So, learn to spin a wrench, build a die, frame a house, finish a piano, weld a seam, drive a bulldozer, switch a boxcar, tune a jet, trace a circuit, program a robot … SOME SKILL … and NEVER aim for a degree if you don't know where and when you'll get a paycheck from it. President Donald Trump loves to trash the “fake media,” but there was no shortage of coverage of his 2020 campaign rally in Grand Rapids this week.

Reporters lined up to preserve the wisdom of Trump supporters and assorted figures from Trumpworld, like cable news talking head fave Kayleigh McEnany.

But the prevalence of folks supporting the bizarre death cult QAnon — flagged by our reporter covering the event, Nick Manes, and a few others, didn’t get nearly as much attention.

 

QAnon gear has been banned at some events. NBC News reporter Ben Collins, who describes himself as being on the “dystopia beat,” also pointed out the number of “Q” adherents in a series of tweets:

 

What’s QAnon? Here’s this explainer from ThinkProgress, which did cover the group in Grand Rapids:

QAnon is a theory which, in a nutshell, claims prominent members of the Democratic Party, the media, and George Soros are all part of a secret cabal of global elites who indulge in Satanic worship and pedophilia. At some unspecified point in the future, the conspiracy claims, Trump, along with Mueller, will unleash the “Storm” by delivering thousands of sealed indictments against his political enemies, and promptly execute them or ship them off to Guantanamo Bay.

“Q” is the shadowy figure at the center of the conspiracy who claims to have high level security clearance inside the Trump administration, but who is widely regarded as an extremely dedicated troll.

The theory has been circulating on the internet since October 2017, but only started to gain mainstream traction in August 2018 after QAnon supporters were seen at a Trump rally in Tampa, Florida. It’s also worth noting, as the Advance did on Thursday, that political scientists writing for the Washington Post have found in their research that counties which hosted a 2016 Trump campaign rally “saw a 226 percent increase in reported hate crimes over comparable counties that did not host such a rally.”

 

Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel has opened up a hate crimes unit. She said that she believes hate crimes have increased in the state since 2016 because Trump is “a huge factor.”

 

The underbelly of the internet is a disturbing place — 4chan, 8chan, Reddit, YouTube conspiracy theory sites and beyond. That’s one I’m personally not fond of visiting — I’m not big on pro-rape Men’s Rights Activist propaganda or dank memes about how Nazis are cool, or at least not as annoying as libs.

But it can’t be ignored. These sites and the hate and fear they spread were a factor in the 2016 election. And it had a disturbing impact, with a supporter of the “Pizzagate” conspiracy theory storming the Washington restaurant with an assault rifle.

This all will most certainly will play a role in in 2020, too. And while there are crazy people on all sides of the political spectrum, Trump has attracted some very violent supporters like the Proud Boys and plenty of folks who are passionate adherents to violent conspiracy theories.

Collins reports on QAnon frequently and he thought the number of supporters at the Trump Grand Rapids rally was “shocking.” That’s a pretty big eye-opener. He also called it a “widespread systemic failure” — and it’s hard to argue with that.
