Tampa, Florida – United States Attorney Maria Chapa Lopez announces the return of an indictment charging Jhon Alejandro Marin-Moreno (39, Medellin, Colombia) with conspiracy to smuggle goods from the United States, smuggling goods from the United States, and shipment of a firearm with an obliterated serial number. If convicted on all counts, Marin-Moreno faces a maximum penalty of 80 years in federal prison.

According to the indictment, Marin-Moreno is a dual citizen of the United States and Colombia who recruited individuals in Florida to acquire firearms for him, including numerous types of assault rifles. Marin-Moreno then arranged to illegally export the firearms to Colombia by concealing the weapons in packages containing household items. Marin-Moreno and his coconspirators attempted to obliterate the serial numbers on the firearms so that they could not be traced. Some of the firearms were acquired to satisfy debts owed for drug purchases. Neither Marin-Moreno nor his coconspirators applied for or obtained the necessary licenses for exporting defense articles as required by federal law.

On February 10, 2020, Marin-Moreno was detained while traveling through Panama and was immediately removed to the United States to face the charges in the indictment.

UNREAL! DOJ Prosecutors Delayed General Flynn Sentencing to Give His Former Attorneys at Covington and Burling Adequate Time to Save Face

Federal Judge Emmet Sullivan on Monday canceled General Flynn’s sentencing scheduled for February 27 “until further order of the court.”

General Flynn formally asked to withdraw his guilty plea last month and accused federal prosecutors of “egregious government misconduct.”

Federal prosecutors then backed down and offered Flynn probation after asking for up to six months prison time.

Flynn’s lawyers are still working through withdrawing Flynn’s guilty plea because the government asked for an extension to consider Flynn’s motion to withdraw his plea.

Flynn’s lawyer Sidney Powell opposed the extension and argued, “The Department of Justice should agree to the withdrawal of the plea. Accordingly we oppose any further extension of the briefing schedule.”

So Judge Sullivan indefinitely postponed Flynn’s sentencing hearing.

Now Sara Carter reports the for the delay in sentencing is because the prosecution wants to give his previous defense team from Covington and Burling time to protect its reputation.

Government prosecutor Joycelyn Ballantine filed an unexpected motion Sunday in the case against Michael Flynn for the express purpose of seeking to protect Flynn’s former defense team.

Yes, it’s true and in the prosecutor’s own words: Government prosecutors said in their filing they want “to make certain and clear that counsel [Covington & Burling] may take the necessary steps to vindicate their public reputation by addressing and defending against the defendant’s claims of ineffective assistance of counsel, and equally to vindicate the integrity of this Court’s previous proceedings, the government asks this court to issue the attached proposed order.”

Really? Now the US Attorney for the District of Columbia and the Department of Justice are in the business of protecting and working to protect the “public reputation” of Covington & Burling—a well-known international law firm based in DC? Do the new United States Attorney Timothy Shea and Attorney General William Barr know that federal prosecutors—who had already identified a serious conflict of interest held by Covington in the Flynn case—are subjecting Flynn to more proceedings now to protect Covington?

A serious conflict of interest—indisputable because it was recognized by both the government and Covington by November 1, 2017—well before Flynn entered a guilty plea or even made a proffer to the prosecutors– is one of the main reasons Flynn’s lawyer Sidney Powell filed to withdraw his guilty plea several weeks ago. A U.S. nuclear bomb exploded off the South Carolina coast after U.S. military leaders refused an order by Pres. Barack Obama to destroy Charleston in a false-flag operation to create chaos in the United States, claims a European newspaper.

According to the European Union Times article, Soviet military intelligence, known as the GRU, notified President Putin and the Soviet Russian General Staff that a U.S. B-61-11 nuclear bomb exploded 620 miles off the coast of Charleston on Oct. 8th, causing a magnitude 4.5 earthquake that Russian intelligence was able to measure through seismic detectors.

Now comes the truly strange part. “In the aftermath of the Obama regime’s failed false flag nuclear attack on Charleston,” said the article, the GRU discovered that Obama fired Navy Vice Adm. Tim Giardina and Air Force Maj. Gen. Michael Carey, and Marine Corps Major Generals Charles Gurganus and Gregg Sturdevant for refusing to execute the diabolical order.

“Adm. Giardina and Gen. Carey were the first to note Obama’s transferring of nuclear weapons to Charleston outside of the normal chain of command, GRU experts say in this report, Generals Gurganus and Sturdevant were tasked with leading U.S. Marine troops from Camp Lejeune in North Carolina to begin the implementation of martial law after this false flag attack had taken place,” said the European Union Times.

As the saying goes, war is politics by other means, and South Carolina might as well be in a political state of war with Obama. But the president of the United States resorting to nukes to stop the Tea Party? Crazy as that sounds, Snopes.com had to post a denial.

What is interesting about the story is that it seeks a patina of credibility by linking to real events. Four U.S. commanders were indeed fired this month, but not for mutiny. Giardana and Carey were senior commanders of U.S. nuclear forces that failed recent inspections of missile launch crew readiness, as well as alleged lapses in personal behavior.

Gurganus and Sturdevant were forced to retire because of a Taliban attack against a poorly defended airbase in Afghanistan that killed two Marines and destroyed six Harrier jets.

Also interesting about this story is its source. The European Union Times, which describes itself as an “international newspaper” that is “produced by a dedicated staff from the European Union and by contributors from all around the world,” apparently has a surprising knack for obtaining secret Russian military intelligence reports.

Another recent story alleged that the Russian government may issue a travel advisory to its citizens, advising them to avoid the U.S. because they might get shot by out-of-control American police.

So unless you believe that U.S. presidents resort to nuclear bombs instead of ballots, take this story with a double grain of salt.

The big picture: Liu was confirmed in September 2017 to lead the largest U.S. attorney's office in the country, overseeing a number of politically charged investigations that included the case against Trump associates Roger Stone, Paul Manafort and other spinoffs from the Mueller investigation.

Liu stepped down from the U.S. attorney's office after Trump announced his intention to nominate her to the Treasury position in December 2019.

She was replaced by Timothy Shea, who is currently serving on an interim basis.
