I've been saving this story, Anons. I knew it would eventually be tied in.

I was 19 working for a cabling company out of Reston. The CEO owned the building with attached USPS office (coincidentally where some anthrax was sent out of). That guy owned LOTS of land in Alexandria and had a black helicopter :)

Anyway, we went to pack up computers at Arthur Anderson because we were told they were "moving." All the computers in the building wete paletized andnplaced in white box trucks. We were told that "another team" would get them up at destination and we could go home.

That company was TEXEL CORP who also did business mainly with World Bank and the Red Cross Headquarters. It's the job that got me into "conspiracies," as i got to see them first hand.

Department of Public Safety Commissioner Mark McDonough announced his retirement Thursday, a decision thrust upon him after a meeting with Gov. Brian Kemp.

McDonough, appointed to lead the state patrol in 2011, said Kemp informed him on Wednesday that he was seeking new leadership for the department. The governor did not cite a reason for the change, said McDonough, who announced his decision at the public safety commission’s monthly meeting. “My family and I thank Colonel McDonough for his dedicated service, leadership, and sacrifice,” Kemp said in a statement. “We wish him the very best in the years ahead.”

McDonough acknowledged the recent cheating scandal that cost 30 newly hired state troopers their jobs likely played a role in his departure.“The person at the head is ultimately responsible,” he said.

The dismissals followed a months-long investigation into claims by a woman, involved with one of the members of the 106th Georgia State Patrol trooper class, of widespread cheating on speed detection exams. Every cadet had cut corners, she alleged. Eventually, all members of the class, which graduated last August, admitted they had gamed the system. McDonough said more supervision was needed and requested an audit by the Georgia Peace Officer Standards and Training Council.“It’s a punch in the gut,” McDonough told reporters at a January press conference. “Our whole mode is to produce an officer the public can trust. This goes to our core values.”Kemp’s decision didn’t come as a surprise to the former Marine combat pilot, who joined the state patrol in 1995. “I’ve been fortunate to have this job longer than anyone else,” he said. “Eight-and-a-half years set the record so I have nothing to complain about.”

Washington Examiner Editor Out After Colleague Secretly Recorded ‘Sexist and Hateful’ Comments

The high-level bloodletting at the Washington Examiner continued this week with the dramatic ouster of its managing editor on Monday, days after the conservative magazine fired its breaking news editor for sharing a lewd video.

Toby Harnden, a British journalist who joined the Examiner as managing editor in 2018, parted ways with the outlet on Monday morning.

Here’s where things get messy: Harnden was out after the aforementioned breaking news editor accused him of misconduct in a lengthy email, obtained by Mediaite, which included recordings of conversations.

“Toby is no longer with the Washington Examiner, but we do not comment on personnel matters,” Examiner editor-in-chief Hugo Gurdon wrote to Mediaite when reached for comment. He declined to say whether Harnden was fired. Harnden, when reached for comment, directed Mediaite to his lawyer, who did not respond to multiple emails and calls.

The ouster comes a week after Jon Nicosia, the Examiner’s breaking news editor, was fired on January 31. Days later, Nicosia sent an email to the outlet’s editor in chief accusing Harnden of mistreating staffers and making sexist and homophobic comments about employees.

Nicosia himself was fired for sending a tweet containing a lewd video to colleagues on Slack. He wrote a lengthy email to Gurdon defending himself, claiming that he posted the video (it involves a group of marines and a pink dildo) because he thought it “had the potential to become a controversial news story.” He pointed to similarly racy stories that the Examiner had published.

Nicosia — who previously worked at Mediaite, and once disclosed his true identity and felony conviction in a confessional post on this site — also included in his email to Gurdon screenshots of what he described as “sexist and hateful texts” from Harnden as well as alleged recordings of conversations, which Mediaite reviewed.

“Toby Harnden has fostered and created an environment of sexism, retribution, and fear,” Nicosia wrote. “He has spewed multiple sexist and homophobic things in my time there [all recorded].”

In one of the recordings, made secretly by Nicosia, a voice purported to be Harnden’s complains he wasn’t invited to a company retreat on Sea Island in Georgia, while a staffer he refers to as “miss f*cking tits and ass” was allowed to go.

In a text exchange, he purportedly refers to a former Examiner staffer as a “Fcking sour, stupid btch” and a “fat fcking waste of food.” In another, he targets two staffers for complaining that he was “inappropriate” and “yelled at people.” One screenshot shows him referring to a former staffer as a “little pssy.”

Nicosia accuses Harnden in his email of belittling one female staffer and making “her life hell.” He also writes that Harnden, a Fleet Street veteran with stints at the Daily Telegraph, the Sunday Times and the Daily Mail, was criticized by staff for trying to turn the conservative magazine into a tabloid.

In the secret recordings, Harnden also reveals some behind the scenes gossip at the Examiner. He says commentary editor Tim Carney, for those curious, makes $160,000 per year, with a nice $40,000 annual sweetener from the American Enterprise Institute. Harnden also complains that executive editor Philip Klein only wrote 11 posts in one month for the high-metabolism news site, asking: “While we’re at it, what’s the point of Klein?”

When Nicosia was fired, he posted several tweets, which were swiftly deleted, suggesting he had recorded conversations with Examiner bosses.

“Revenge is a dish best served cold,” he wrote.

Green group sues Trump over major environmental rollback

An environmental group is trying to block one of President Trump’s most far-reaching environmental rollbacks from taking effect, arguing the administration has not provided proper access to public documents on a new rule that would limit the scope of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA).

The Southern Environmental Law Center (SELC) is seeking an injunction from the U.S. District Court in Charlottesville that would block changes to the bedrock environmental law that are slated to take effect in early March.

The suit is the latest move in SELC’s 17-month battle to get public records from the White House detailing the backing for the January rule, which the administration has said it will not be able to provide until November. The administration is holding commenting sessions before the rule is finalized.

“The irony of all this is that the comment process puts a high value on informed input from the public, but at the same time, the Trump administration is keeping information away from the public,” said Kym Hunter, a senior SELC attorney who filed the request for the preliminary injunction.

“The rules call for openness and transparency, but instead the administration has shut the door and boarded the windows.”

NEPA requires agencies to evaluate how pipelines, highways and some oil and gas development affects the environment and nearby communities.

The law has been a repeated target of President Trump, who has vowed to speed the construction of fossil fuel infrastructure and eliminate barriers to construction projects.

Trump’s changes would limit the breadth of the law, excluding some projects from undergoing NEPA review, like those that receive little federal funding. It also opens the door for more industry involvement in reviewing the environmental impacts of their projects.

The SELC suit marks the first major legal action against the law, though a number of environmental groups have said they are weighing their legal options.

The White House Council on Environmental Quality, which crafted the new NEPA rule, did not immediately respond to request for comment.

Liquidity Warning: Fed Shrinks Overnight Repos By $20BN, Term Repos By $10BN

With everyone (grudgingly or otherwise) now admitting that the Fed's repo and QE4 was responsible for the miraculous surge in stocks since the start of Q4 2019 (with the occasional exception of a handful of idiots), traders were especially focused on today's latest release of the next monthly schedule of repo operations to see if the Fed would, as Powell hinted before Congress, continue shrinking reducing the liquidity injection via repo. And sure enough, that's precisely what happened when the NY Fed announced that starting next week, the term repo, which this month dropped from a max of $35BN to $30BN, would be reduced by another $5 billion to $25 billion and that starting in March, term repos would be reduced by another $5 billion to just $20BN. Additionally, as shown in the latest schedule below, the New York Fed announced that the maximum size of overnight repos would also shrink from the prior limit of $120 billion, to $100 billion, resulting in a substantial decline in the maximum available liquidity at a time when the fed's last four term report have already been 2x oversubscribed. Then again, on net the total liquidity will actually increase as in March the Fed will inject at least another $60BN in liquidity via T-Bill monetizations courtsy of "NOT QE 4", and then another $60BN in April, and so on. In other words, while a modest repo shrinkage continues, this will be more than offset by permanent open market operations which will see the Fed continuing to grow its balance sheet, in the words of UBS, "indefinitely."

President Trump said Thursday he may end the practice of having national security and foreign service staff listen in on his calls with foreign leaders after a July call with the president of Ukraine triggered his impeachment in the House.

Trump complained extensively about Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman, a key witness in the House impeachment inquiry, during a radio interview with Geraldo Rivera, accusing him of being "insubordinate" by raising concerns about the president's conduct on the July 25 call.

"Why are so many people allowed to listen to your phone calls anyway?" Rivera asked.

"Well, that’s what they’ve done over the years," Trump said. "When you call a foreign leader people listen. I may end the practice entirely. I may end it entirely."

Top White House and national security officials typically listen in on presidential phone calls to keep everyone on the same page and create a record of the conversation.

Trump's call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky set off the impeachment inquiry after a whistleblower raised concerns that the president was pressuring Zelensky to investigate his political rivals while holding up hundreds of millions of dollars in military aid.

The president has repeatedly said he was aware other officials were listening to that conversation, which he has maintained was "perfect,” repeatedly telling people to “read the transcript.”

The House impeached Trump in December for abuse of power and obstruction of Congress, and the Senate acquitted him last week.

Vindman, a Purple Heart recipient detailed to the National Security Council at the time, reported to his superior that he was concerned about the political nature of Trump's call.

The White House last week forced out Vindman, and he was reassigned within the Pentagon.

2 dead after plane crashes into neighborhood near Bartow Airport

BARTOW, Fla. - Emergency crews are responding to a small plane crash in a Bartow neighborhood that killed two people.

The single-engine plane crashed along Weston Road, which is just northeast of the Bartow Executive Airport. The FAA said the Mooney M20J aircraft crashed into the Eagle Lake residential area around 11:15 a.m.

The Polk County Sheriff's Office confirmed two people who were in the plane died in the crash.

No homes were hit, and there were no injuries on the ground, authorities said.

Switzerland Halts 5G Rollout Due to Health Concerns, Widespread Public Opposition

"Switzerland, one of the world's leaders in the rollout of 5G mobile technology, has placed an indefinite moratorium on the use of its new network because of health concerns," The Financial Times reports.

Switzerland is relatively advanced in Europe in adopting 5G. The wealthy alpine country has built more than 2,000 antennas to upgrade its network in the last year alone, and its telecoms providers have been promising their customers’ imminent 5G coverage for most of the past year.

However, a letter sent by the Swiss environment agency, Bafu, to the country's cantonal governments at the end of January, has now in effect called time on the use of all new 5G towers, officials who have seen the letter told the Financial Times.

There have been zero major studies on the health effects of 5G.

On the other hand, there are tons of studies showing WiFi in its current form can have a multitude of negative effects on our health, they're generally just ignored by our governments and media (the UK recently went as far as banning an advertisement warning about the dangers of 5G).

Among them is former Today host Matt Lauer, who was fired from the network in 2017 after allegations of inappropriate sexual behavior including the rape of a subordinate, an encounter Lauer claims was "consensual." Further escalating the situation, network executives have been accused of trying to both cover up for the indiscretions of others and of themselves while also allegedly trying to make it harder for the truth to surface. NBCUniversal has denied any wrongdoing.

Lawyers representing the media conglomerate sent a letter to the Securities and Exchange Commission asking the independent agency to prevent the vote from occurring at the company's annual shareholders meeting — which has not been publicly scheduled at this point. In their letter, the lawyers claim that they can exclude the vote from the meeting, citing Rule 14a-8(i)(7) of the Exchange Act Release, which permits companies to prevent a measure if "the proposal deals with a matter relating to the company’s ordinary business operations."

The lawyers also expressed concern that compliance for such a demand could lead to additional investigations because the vote seeks to evaluate the "company's general legal compliance program and policies."

They said, "these Company policies and the requirements imposed by applicable laws and regulations are fundamental to management's ability to run the Company on a day-to-day basis," thus allowing it to be excluded on the basis of it falling within the company's normal business operations.

UltraViolet, a women's advocacy organization, supports the resolution. They have also called for the Democratic National Committee to boycott NBC and MSNBC "until they demonstrate they're taking" the allegations seriously.

The Belief That Everything Will Be Fine Once Trump's Gone Is More Dangerous Than Trump

The premise that everything will be fine once Trump is gone isn’t one people generally say out loud. They don’t even usually think it. But the fact that so many Democrats who were fine with the way their nation was being run on January 19 2017 suddenly became furiously critical of it on January 20th tells you that this assumption is at play. And the relentlessly Trump-centric liberal news media has only reinforced this unexamined assumption.

Things are not going to be okay once Trump is out of office. Do you know how I know this? Because things weren’t okay before Trump got into office. America was a murderous imperialist force whose citizenry were suffering under crushing austerity and steadily mounting authoritarianism on January 19 2017, and it remains so today. Certainly the current administration has added its own levels of nefariousness to this dynamic, but the same is true of its predecessors.

By this stage in his administration Bush had launched two full-scale ground invasions and implemented unprecedented levels of global militarism and Orwellian surveillance, while at the same stage Obama had already overtly destroyed Libya and was working on covertly doing the same to Syria. Trump has continued and expanded all of the most evil agendas of those two administrations and added immensely depraved warmongering elements of his own, but you can’t even rightly argue that he’s done anything quite so evil as what Bush did to Iraq or what Obama did to Libya and Syria. Trump is not the unprecedented presidential horror that the Democratic Party-aligned media spin him as.

Imperialist elites dislike Trump not because he’s a uniquely dangerous president, but because he puts an ugly face on the things they were already doing before he took office and plan to continue doing once he leaves. The reason many rank-and-file Democrats dislike him is similar: he forces them to think about the evil things their nation does.

They don’t actually want to fix any of these problems, they just want to stop thinking about them. They’re not interested in waking up, they just want to get an uncomfortable wrinkle out of their bedsheets so that they can go back to sleep.
