My local supermarket around 7pm my time.

Most of the aisles look like this they were full yesterday.

Schools close tomorow, 1.2 million kids and students on a Wu-flu holiday for 15 days; most large companies advise employees to telework from home…until futher notice.

If you're self employed, as I am, your finacial status just hit the fan.

I stocked up on non-perishables slowly over the past two weeks, but it's mainly dried carbs, frozen mince and flour to make bread…didn't expect things to go full World War Z so quickly.

Since the government announced the school closure this morning, people have panic bought…Fucking unreal!

Giving pause to watch Dems beat on each other is of course worthy cause.  But does not Dem/MSM further wind-up self-destruction, crawling far out on skinny branch over Virus vat. Politicizing fast moving international illness only serves the hopelessly politically corrupt far left, the do-nothing herd, and will likely soon rise sharp criticism from any described as moderate or centralist. By end, likely by mid-summer, Convention time, Virus will be Villain and POTUS Villain Slayer. All Dems can do is throw fear across world and money into POTUS hands… done. New levels of health will be realized, already occurs, forging towards new healthcare. Dems are making POTUS health care champion, should they pause to think a moment. Dem blind raging vanity only serves to nail more into Obamacare coffin. Beyond and on top of that, pulling together happens, real world Rs and Ds together care for each other vividly and openly. This is not about letting a 'good' crisis go to waste, blown-up by more Dem fabricated scare. This is America rising united above and far beyond this new challenge. 

 

Dems will not get blamed for crying wolf… too often, too late. Hindsight will not be so kind. They cried Impeach45 when they should have cried VIRUS as POUTS enacted never-been-done travel bands to stop Virus and took many more steps. Whatever POTUS does draws blind and relentless Dem criticism. Then the same Dems put 8B in forever acquitted POTUS hands to slay this Chinese dragon they ignored from start. In end, hero always with eye on real prize slays Impeach45, Virus and what/who ever else Dems throw against the wall they preach against.  Trump does it all Virtually and Virtuously at once, by like means. Hindsight will be precise. What happens 11.3.20 will be hindsight making choice between fear mongering and true leadership. To that, it would be worth saying, 'Nothing can stop what is coming. Nothing,' though not the primary Q point, it illustrates in one more way. Dems pour unmatched fear into the vast unknowns, unless they themselves control the cause of fear, like past hoaxes. They play their roles well, 'sky is falling.' POTUS  leads this People and the world too, to unending victories always rising to the needs of all People. One only needs to ask, how has Russia, Russia, Russia turned out or Impeach45. This Virus similar, forcing POTUS to rise to fuller worth, yet again showing true American heart and spirit. If food prices are high due to high cost of oil, that doesn't mean the farmers are getting any more money. probably less, because often they cannot pass all their increased costs to the market. They have to let some of that cast bite into their own profts.

How Domino's Pizza Lost Its Mascot

Teneo, the New York consultancy firm cofounded by Irish executive Declan Kelly, promoted his ability to “secure” money from the American Ireland Fund (AIF) for the Clinton Foundation, it has been claimed in a leaked email.

Details of the consultancy firm’s connections with the Clintons were revealed in a memo that surfaced in the latest tranche of leaked emails belonging to John Podesta, campaign chairman for Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton that appeared on the anti-secrecy website, Wikileaks.

The ongoing leaked emails have unveiled new insights into the dispute dating back to November 2011 between Chelsea Clinton, daughter of the Democratic candidate, and Doug Band, a cofounder of Teneo, over her concerns that the firm was “hustling business” at the Clinton Foundation’s charitable events.

 

The dispute led to a review of whether Teneo’s commercial interests were becoming too mixed up with the foundation, Mr Clinton’s activities and his for-profit business.

Mr Band sent a memo to Mr Podesta, who was trying to mediate in his dispute with Ms Clinton, to clarify his and Teneo’s past role in fundraising for the Clinton charity. The document highlights how Mr Kelly had directed funds both to the foundation and encouraged Teneo’s high-profile corporate clients to pay the former US president millions of dollars for paid speeches and offer the use of a private plane.

 

Past donations

The November 16th, 2011 memo was prepared for two lawyers at New York law firm Simpson Thacher, which carried out a review of the Clinton Foundation and its relationship with affiliates. It was copied to Mr Clinton, Chelsea Clinton, Mr Podesta and two Clinton Foundation board members.

The memo – under one heading “Leveraging Teneo for the Foundation” – outlines how Mr Kelly and Mr Band encouraged Teneo’s clients to contribute to the foundation. It references millions of dollars in past donations to the foundation and fees to Mr Clinton for speeches paid by Teneo clients including the Coca-Cola Company, the Dow Chemical Company, Swiss bank UBS and telecom firm Ericsson.

 

Mr Band says in the memo that Mr Kelly, a trustee of the American Ireland Fund, a charity set up for Irish causes,“urged and ensured” that the fund was “a significant donor to the foundation.”

“Mr Kelly has successfully secured $350,000 to date,” he wrote. “Mr Kelly also will continue giving in the coming years as well through the AIF.”

Peace process

The memo notes that Mr Kelly introduced Bob McCann, head of UBS Wealth Management, to Mr Clinton at an American Ireland Fund event in 2009 and that Mr Kelly later asked Mr McCann to support the foundation and invited Mr Clinton to give paid speeches worth $900,000 in fees to the former president.

 

A spokesperson for the fund said that the charity supported the Clinton Foundation because of the former president’s central role in the Northern Ireland peace process, his ongoing involvement in Northern Ireland and his support for continued investment in Ireland following the economic crash.

Dear Harvard Kennedy School Students, Staff, and Faculty,

 

As President Bacow just announced, all Harvard classes will be shifting to online starting March 23rd after spring break. Therefore, students at the Kennedy School do not need to return to campus after break in order to pursue their studies for the rest of the semester. For staff and faculty, all Harvard offices remain open, and I offer some additional guidance about your work later in this message.

 

I am sure you understand that President Bacow and the other leaders of the University did not take this decision to change classes lightly, because they recognize the significance of the change for the lives of our students, faculty, staff, and visitors. But in the face of the COVID-19 disease caused by the novel coronavirus, shifting to online classes is an important step to protect the health of members of the Harvard community and of the broader community in Greater Boston of which we are a part.

 

I am writing with specific guidance for the Kennedy School community that is consistent with this morning’s message from President Bacow. Before I get to that guidance, however, I think it is useful to give some context.

 

Context

The main objective of this shift in classes is to “de-densify” the University—that is, to separate people physically as much as possible. The more we can reduce the proximity to others as we work, the more the spread of the virus will be slowed, thereby mitigating the sharp impact on our health care system that might otherwise occur. This effect will be important for all of us and will be especially important for the members of our community who are at increased risk for complications from COVID-19 due to underlying health conditions. That is, slowing the spread of the virus is an act of public service, which is what we have all come to the Kennedy School to do.

 

I want to acknowledge the magnitude of this change in the Kennedy School’s operations, and of other, related changes that I describe below. The current situation with the coronavirus is not what most of us expected just a few weeks ago. The responses we are making at Harvard will require hard work, cooperation, and patience on all our parts, and I know that many of us are trying to make appropriate adjustments in our personal lives as well. As we figure out the “new normal” for the time being, the combination of professional and personal stresses can be daunting. But public leaders can try to channel these natural emotions by focusing on what we can do constructively. The Real Causes for the Oncoming Economic Collapse

 

This Thursday, the markets took a 1000 point hit which was more than a little startling for many investors since the last 1000 point fall only happened three days prior… all in all bringing the financial markets to lows not seen since April 2011, and veering dangerously close to a precipice which has 1929 written all over it. Across the internet, panicky discussion has erupted over whether this foretells another 1987 collapse as Donald Trump warned, or something more akin to Black Tuesday of 1929. Others have pondered whether this is more similar to a 1923 Weimar hyperinflation where Germans became millionaires overnight (not much to celebrate when bread costs billions).

 

The fact of the oncoming collapse itself should not be a surprise- especially when one is reminded of the $1.5 quadrillion of derivatives which has taken over a world economy which generates a mere $80 trillion/year in measurable goods and trade. These nebulous bets on insurance on bets on collateralized debts known as derivatives didn’t even exist a few decades ago, and the fact is that no matter what the Federal Reserve and European Central Bank have attempted to do to stop a new rupture of this overextended casino bubble of an economy in recent months, nothing has worked. Zero to negative percent interest rates haven’t worked, opening overnight repo loans of $100 billion/night to failing banks hasn’t worked- nor has the return of quantitative easing which restarted on October 17 in earnest. No matter what these financial wizards try to do, things just keep getting worse. Rather than acknowledge what is actually happening, scapegoats have been selected to shift the blame away from reality to the point that the current crisis is actually being blamed on the Coronavirus!

 

Deeper than Corona

 

Let me just state outright: That while the coronavirus may in fact be the catalyzer for the oncoming financial blowout, it is the height of stupidity to believe that it is the cause, as the seeds of the crisis goes deeper and originated much earlier than most people are prepared to admit.

 

To start getting at a more truthful diagnostic, it is useful to think of an economy in real (vs purely financial) terms – That is: Simply think of the economy as total system in which the body of humanity (all cultures, nations and families of the world) exist.

 

This co-existence is predicated on certain necessary powers of production of food, clothing, capital goods (hard and soft infrastructure), transportation and energy production. After raw materials are transformed into finished goods, these physical goods and services move from points A to B and are consumed. This is very much akin to the metabolism that maintains a living body.

 

Now since populations tend to grow geometrically, while resources deplete arithmetically, constant demands on new creative discoveries and technological application are also needed to meet and improve upon the needs of a growing humanity. This last factor is actually the most important because it touches on the principled element that distinguishes humanity from all other forms of life in the ecosystem which Lincoln identified wonderfully in his 1859 Discoveries and Inventions Speech:

Blue and White leader Benny Gantz’s chances of building a coalition took a blow on Tuesday, when Gesher leader Orly Levy-Abecassis left the Labor-Gesher-Meretz alliance and announced she would not back a minority government dependent on the Joint List of Arab parties.

 

Levy-Abecassis said publicly during the campaign that she had no problem supporting a minority government backed by the Joint List, but revealed on Facebook Tuesday that she had said the opposite privately ahead of the race.

She also endorsed Gantz and criticized Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu throughout the campaign. But she issued fierce criticism of Gantz on Tuesday.

 

“We are all witnessing leaders who promised to act with credibility and responsibility dealing these days with shameful courting [of the Joint List],” Levy-Abecassis wrote. “They are willing to pay any price in order to form a minority government even if it will rely on undependable people.”

 

Blue and White, Labor and Meretz officials expressed outrage at Levy-Abecassis’s zigzag. Meretz MK Tamar Zandberg called her a racist and said she had to quit the Knesset. But she received praise from Likud.

 

“The delusional idea of a minority government dependent on MK Ahmad Tibi and his friends has apparently died,” Likud minister Ze’ev Elkin tweeted.

 

Without Levy-Abecassis and rebel Blue and White MKs Zvi Hauser and Yoaz Hendel, Gantz does not have enough support to form a minority government.

 

Channel 12 reported that chances of a unity government also decreased on Tuesday, because the Likud decided to stiffen its offer to Gantz. The head of the Likud negotiating team, Tourism Minister Yariv Levin, mocked Yisrael Beytenu on Tuesday for issuing a series of demands for joining a Likud-led government. Levin said the demands should be sent to the Joint List instead.

 

Yisrael Beytenu chairman Avigdor Liberman met on Tuesday evening with the entire Blue and White cockpit of Benny Gantz, Yair Lapid, Moshe Ya’alon and Gabi Ashkenazi. They reported progress toward forming a government and avoiding a fourth election. Liberman will report back from the meeting to his Yisrael Beytenu faction on Wednesday.

Okay, so I was home alone with this new toy, thinking to myself that it couldn't be all that bad with only two AAA batteries, right?

There I sat in my recliner, my cat Leo looking on intently (trusting little soul) while I was reading the directions and thinking that I really needed to try this thing out on a flesh & blood moving target.

I must admit I thought about zapping Leo (for a fraction of a second) and then thought better of it. He is such a sweet cat. But, if I was going to give this thing to my wife to protect herself against a mugger, I did want some assurance that it would work as advertised.

Am I wrong?

So, there I sat in a pair of shorts and a singlet with my reading glasses perched delicately on the bridge of my nose, directions in one hand, and Taser in another.

The directions said that:

a one-second burst would shock and disorient your assailant;

a two-second burst was supposed to cause muscle spasms and a major loss of bodily control; and

a three-second burst would purportedly make your assailant flop on the ground like a fish out of water.

Any burst longer than three seconds would be wasting the batteries.

All the while I'm looking at this little device measuring about 5" long, less than 3/4 inch in circumference (loaded with two itsy, bitsy AAA batteries); pretty cute really, and thinking to myself, 'no possible way!'

What happened next is almost beyond description, but I'll do my best.

I'm sitting there alone, the cat looking on with his head cocked to one side so as to say, 'Don't do it stupid,' reasoning that a one second burst from such a tiny lil ole thing couldn't hurt all that bad.. I decided to give myself a one second burst just for heck of it.

I touched the prongs to my naked thigh, pushed the button, and…

HOLY MOTHER OF GOD. WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION. WHAT THE… !!! I AM CERTAIN I JUST MET JESUS!!!

I'm pretty sure Hulk Hogan ran in through the side door, picked me up in the recliner, then body slammed us both on the carpet, over and over and over again. I vaguely recall waking up on my side in the fetal position, with tears in my eyes, body soaking wet, both nipples on fire, testicles nowhere to be found, with my left arm tucked under my body in the oddest position, and tingling in my legs! The cat was making meowing sounds I had never heard before, clinging to a picture frame hanging above the fireplace, obviously in an attempt to avoid getting slammed by my body flopping all over the living room.

one note of caution:

There is NO such thing as a one second burst when you zap yourself! You will not let go of that thing until it is dislodged from your hand by a violent thrashing about on the floor!

A three second burst would be considered conservative!

A minute or so later (I can't be sure, as time was a relative thing at that point), I collected my wits (what little I had left), sat up and surveyed the landscape.

· My bent reading glasses were on the top of the TV.

· The recliner was upside down and about 8 feet or so from where it originally was.

· My triceps, right thigh and both nipples were still twitching.

· My face felt like it had been shot up with Novocain, and my bottom lip weighed 88 lbs.

· I had no control over the drooling.

· Apparently I had crapped in my shorts, but was too numb to know for sure, and my sense of smell was gone.

· I saw a faint smoke cloud above my head, which I believe came from my hair.

I'm still looking for my testicles and I'm offering a significant reward for their safe return!

PS: My wife can't stop laughing about my experience, loved the gift and now regularly threatens me with it!

Pope admits clerical abuse of nuns including sexual slavery

 

Pope Francis has admitted that clerics have sexually abused nuns, and in one case they were kept as sex slaves.

 

He said in that case his predecessor, Pope Benedict, was forced to shut down an entire congregation of nuns who were being abused by priests.

 

It is thought to be the first time that Pope Francis has acknowledged the sexual abuse of nuns by the clergy.

 

He said the Church was attempting to address the problem but said it was "still going on".

 

Last November, the Catholic Church's global organisation for nuns denounced the "culture of silence and secrecy" that prevented them from speaking out.

 

The Pope's comments come amid long-running cases of sexual abuse of children and young men by priests at the Church.

 

Speaking to reporters while on a historic tour of the Middle East on Tuesday, the pontiff admitted that the Church had an issue, and the roots lay in society "seeing women as second class".

 

He said that priests and bishops had abused nuns, but said the Church was aware of the "scandal" and was "working on it", adding that a number of clerics had been suspended.

 

"It's a path that we've been on," he said.

 

"Pope Benedict had the courage to dissolve a female congregation which was at a certain level, because this slavery of women had entered it - slavery, even to the point of sexual slavery - on the part of clerics or the founder."

 

Pope Francis said sexual abuse of nuns was an ongoing problem, but happened largely in "certain congregations, predominantly new ones".

 

"I think it's still taking place because it's not as though the moment you become aware of something it goes away."

 

The female congregation dissolved in 2005 under Pope Benedict was the Community of St Jean, which was based in France, Alessandro Gisotti of the Vatican press office told CBS News.

 

In 2013, the Community of St Jean admitted that priests had behaved "in ways that went against chastity" with several women in the order, according to the French Roman Catholic newspaper La Croix.

 

In a separate case in India last year, a bishop was arrested over allegations that he raped a nun 13 times between 2014 and 2016.

 

Bishop Franco Mulakkal, who headed the diocese in Jalandhar in the northern state of Punjab, has denied the accusations.

 

In Chile, reports of abuse of nuns carried out by priests led the Vatican to launch an investigation last year. The women were reportedly removed from the order after highlighting the abuse.

 

Last year, the Associated Press news agency reported cases of abuse in Italy and Africa .

 

Just days ago the Vatican's women's magazine, Women Church World, condemned the abuse, saying in some cases nuns were forced to abort priests' children - something Catholicism forbids.

 

The magazine's editor, Lucetta Scaraffia, said Pope Francis's acknowledgement of the abuse "can be of some help", but warned that the Church needs to act.

 

"If the Church continues to close its eyes to the scandal… the condition of oppression of women in the church will never change," she wrote.

 

The magazine said the #MeToo movement meant more women were now coming forward with their stories.

 

Last year, French website Le Parisien reported the case of "Christelle" (in French) , a former nun whose name was changed to preserve anonymity.

 

Christelle said she had suffered sexual abuse at the hands of a priest of her congregation in France between 2010 and 2011.

 

"His gestures became more and more inappropriate," she said, adding: "But he kept going… until the day he raped me.

 

"He was unable to control himself… he had a split personality."

POTUS is talking about tax cuts and incentives to allegedly help the working class deal with the WuFlu

If he truly wants to endear himself to the Deplorables and demonstrate that he is on THEIR side, he would declare a Force Majeur and immediately suspend payments for rent, mortgage, car loans, student loans, credit cards.

It would not be a "Debt Jubilee", but a "hold" so that the working class, who will be the greatest financially hit if lockdowns/quarantines etc are put in to place, don't lose everything - which is what the Deep State wants. In past "financial crisis", the banking class has let the Deplorables go under while then swooping in to buy assets for pennies on the dollars. Generational theft. POTUS needs to ensure it doesn't happen again.

INTEREST on payments would be forfeited by the lien holder. Since the majority of lien holders are the 1% of the 1%, this small hit to their bottom line is a perfect example of "shared pain".

PRINCIPAL payments would be suspended until say June 1st or July 1st (depending on how things go) and would just restart at principal balance owing as of the date of the declaration of Force Majeur. Everyone's repayment schedule/pay off date would simply be extended 90 - 120 days. No biggie, in comparison to the financial class holding a gun to the paycheck to paycheck crowd.

In summary:

No Debt Jubilee or total forgiveness

Declaration of Force Majeur

Any interest payments are forfeit by the lien holder during Force Majeur

Any principal payments are suspended until the end of Force Majeur

Lien payoff dates would simply be rolled forward to the number of days the Force Majeur was in effect
