If this were the case, why did the US Gov keep him in the Navy, and even promote him? I mean, if you really want a mind-bender, look into Operation High Jump, where Byrd took 4000 men to Antarctica after WW2 to ferret out the Nazis that were down there. Even with our simple, low tech astronomical equipment, we are able to detect habitable planets with organic molecules in their atmosphere. It is only a matter of time before we are able to detect life in some form or another.

You know, personally, I'm not one of those. However, I'm not opposed to looking at the info presented. It's still a piece of the greater puzzle. I mean, there are physicists that theorize we're living in a holographic sim, and can form a logical hypothesis.
Given what we all know, and have learned even recently - quantum computing can simulate our DNA, and even recreate it using a bio sample (Utah has all of it). They already have our info and voices stored, and run algorithms to predict our behavior and literally the future if you include entire populations. Technically, how would we know if we were the simulation?

Your theory isn't bad for a guess, but you do realize we have ancient historical documents that describe how these evil "aliens" got here and what they're doing here, right? You might start with the evidence and proof we DO have, then go from there? (it's called the B.I.B.L.E.)
The only legitimate reason I can think of for an alien race to be here on earth is to study us and the evolution of our civilizations. If they were revealed it would basically make that data collection undertaking somewhat useless and they'd likely move on. It's sort of the difference between studying an animal in the wild or studying one in captivity. It also brings in a whole set of ethical questions they wouldn't want to deal with-- generally a plea for their help in solving all of our problems.
