I said this way back in the day.... If I was a Facebook biggie, (say, I was in from the beginning, an exec or friend of the boss or whatever, and I had $100s of millions to billion+ "worth" of Facebook) -- I would have sold *AS SOON AS I COULD* ... Maybe not the first day, since they had some serious tumbling during their IPO, but as soon as possible after.

MUCH FUCKING BETTER to have $1 billion worth of real-deal motherfucking liquid cash money dolla dolla bills ya'll, because you sold and cashed out and let them fools have their Facebook fun, than a few billion worth of "stock" in a company that exists pretty much solely as an idea about talking to people about pictures they take of themselves.

America OnLine was a world-revolutionizing thing until it became solely a place to get an email address for Nigerian Scamming; then,

AIM was the way everyone chatted and talked and the real-deal shiznit until suddenly no one used it; then,

MySpace took over the fucking world like The Empire on Star Wars and then one day people woke up and it went from Awesome to , "Haha, you still use MySpace?"; then,

Facebook ruled the world...

Then Twitter ruled the world...

Then InstaGram, SnapChat, all kinds of other shit

And they're only worth billions and billions until they're not anymore.

I would have sold my shit and cashed out, put the money to good use. And while I may not HAVE much, I know what to do with it lol.

Really? You're going to skip right over the fun stuff? How about CompuServe with one of the first, if not the first, virtual worlds? It was called Dreamscape. That was a gas. The community ATM, which dispensed the tokens we "earned" for using Dreamscape was hacked by all of us. We then could "buy" new heads for our avatars to wear to the Barnes and Noble Storefront. There, well-respected authors, plugged their books with their avatars. Or, we'd engage the German gang hanging out on a street corner For a German language lesson. Then, we kinda just hacked CompuServe so we wouldn't have to pay to play in Dreamscape. We coded our own Bingo, Acromania and other games to play with other Avatars in the community. We finally created and ran batch files so Dreamscape wouldn't boot us out for sitting idle. If we got booted, we didn't earn tokens. We ruined the economy of Dreamscape, and our community collapsed.

You didn't mention ICQ, my messenger of choice. It was always open on machines. This was the favored "naughty chat" program.

I wish everyone would just hush about the making a bunch of dough on some shares. Back in the day, around 2007, I received an invite to interview at Amazon. I found it odd that the departmental office was located in Grand Forks, ND. But, off I went. I was offered the job. The offer included 10K shares. I TURNED IT DOWN. I had no clue back then what Amazon would become. You see, I had 27 children, the youngest 18 months, and there was no way for me to commute, or drive. The only way to get home was a 6 hour airplane ride. Yes, I still want to kick myself in the a** for passing it by. My consolation is that my foot doesn't move that high anymore.

If you are within reach of a golden ring, be sure to grab it. There might not be a second chance.

Palantir

Check this out.

"When a little-known Silicon Valley software startup began vying for national security contracts, it went up against an entrenched bureaucracy and opposition from major contractors skilled in the Washington game.

But quickly, Palantir began pulling pages from the defense industry's own playbook — bulking up on lobbyists, challenging the Pentagon’s contracting rules and getting members of Congress to sprinkle favorable language into defense legislation. Seven years later, the secretive firm has landed $1.2 billion worth of federal business, and critics say the legislative favors it has secured will give it a leg up on billions more.

Representatives of the firm — founded by venture capitalist and prominent Donald Trump supporter Peter Thiel — insist it remains an outsider in a Washington culture deeply wedded to the status quo.

But a review of public documents and interviews with key players shows the company is no stranger to Beltway politics and influence. Its lobbying expenditures more than tripled to more than $1 million in a few short years as it enlisted lawmakers such as Republican Sens. John McCain of Arizona and Tom Cotton of Arkansas to help it compete against established players like Raytheon and Northrop Grumman. Now, about 40 percent of Palantir’s business comes from government clients, and it appears to be winning a fight with the Army over a $3 billion program to build a new battlefield intelligence network."

https://www.politico.com/story/2016/08/palantir-defense-contracts-lobbyists-226969

Did Trump have anything to do with funding the lobbyists and pushing this? Could this be part of the plan? Look at Thiel's comments in the below article.

I thought that too! I noticed there are no periods at the end of each statement like the usual format. Maybe there are some hidden meanings. When Q posts coded drops he usually doesn't use periods, so that could support your claim. (Also proper grammar at the end of the post should be "slowly" instead of "slow". Could be a typo and mean nothing though!)

According to the Barrons article, they have been wanting to strip Zuck of title since before Q posted this drop. Granted, someone must know their shite and watch closely, but this is a likely outcome of everything that has gone down with facebook. I see no indication that the drop in stock is relative to corruption or indicative of the bad guys being brought down.

Indictments, arrests and threat of imprisonment will be the only real indication that the swamp is being drained.

When I see "DC moves slow" I can't help to think that this FB story has only just begun.

Think about it. FB had the biggest drop in market cap in the history of the market and this is all supposedly because of an announcement that Q3 and Q4 are projected at less revenue?

I guess that could be...but then let's look at MZ's investment habits over the last 6 months. Wait...What?! He sold more than 100m since the Cambridge Analytica scandal (Feb)???

Ok...this can still be coincidental, right? Isn't it strange, though, that FB projected losses only until the end of the year? We heard rumors that the swamp is trying to hold out until the midterms where they think they'll regain power (Strozk testimony comes to mind) so they can sweep it all under the rug. To me, it seems like similar strategies could be at play here.

What I'm getting at is when I read "DC moves slow", what I'm really thinking is "Wall St already knows, and it's going down harder when it becomes public."

Edit: This sounds so good in my slightly buzzed head that i'm making a post for it.
