Australians have been the warned that the Covid pandemic is far from over and the virus is going to be around for at least another year.

NSW Premier Dominic Perrottet also ruled out reintroducing hotel quarantine as a means of combatting the new Omicron super variant - at least for now.

At least two and possibly three people have tested positive to Omicron, and Mr Pertottet said his state's number one priority is keeping people safe.

'That's what we've done over the last 18 months, that's what we'll do over the next 12 months as we move through the next phase of this pandemic.'

Asked if a reintroduction of hotel quarantine is on the cards, Mr Pertottet said 'No,' but then immediately made it clear that quarantine is still very much an option.

'If … circumstances change which may result in a situation from a health perspective that there is a concern in relation to an increase in hospitalisations, we've always said that we will tailor our restrictions from time to time if necessary.'

He said taking such precautions is in line with the federal road map. 'That is the measured approach that any state should take.

'As we've opened up we've been very clear that we do not want to go back into lockdown, we want to provide confidence to the business community,' he said.

Redesigning organisms for other purposes is a new field of scientific endeavor known as synthetic biology. According to a report by the World Economic Forum, expect to see (and hear) more about it as scientists look to reset humanity’s future and the “bio-economy” on the back of coronavirus vaccine research.

The study was released Thursday by the Switzerland-based WEF, and proclaims a scientific human reset is near because “Synthetic biology lies at the intersection of an ageing population, climate change and environmental degradation.”

It sets out what it calls the “bioeconomy” that covers all sectors and systems that rely on biological resources (animals, plants, microorganisms, and derived biomass, including organic waste) as well as their functions and principles.

The study points to synthetic biology interlinks between economic and industrial sectors such as food, health, chemicals, materials, energy and services that use biological resources and processes – pretty much everything that sustains and underlines human endeavour.

DNA has its role as well.

Harnessing that scientific variety for the future of humanity is needed, the WEF report argues. The report cautions:

It is anticipated that the world will face increased competition for limited and finite natural resources given a growing population, increasing pressure on our food and health systems, and climate change and associated environmental degradation decimating our primary production systems.

That challenge is met by modifying science to “efficiently produce high performance, sustainable products.”

Put more simply, that is where synthetic biology comes in.

Synthetic biology, proponents say, holds the promise of reprogramming biology to be more powerful and then mass-producing the turbocharged cells to increase food production, fight disease, generate energy, purify water and devour carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, as the New York Times points out.

The aim is to follow computing, using biological information as coded in DNA, so it can be programmed — with the goal of redesigning organisms for what the WEF deems useful purposes.

Despite the claims of Wood, Powell and Flynn—no evidence has emerged to substantiate their extraordinary allegations about the 2020 election. On the contrary, dozens of election challenge lawsuits have failed in state and federal courts. Even judges appointed by Trump and other Republicans have rejected the allegations. Furthermore, audits and recounts in key battleground states have consistently reaffirmed Biden's victory.

Former U.S. Attorney General William Barr, who was widely viewed as one of Trump's most loyal Cabinet members, asserted in December that there was "no evidence" of voter fraud that would change the election results. Trump Vindicated: Nord Stream 2 Pipeline Deal Was Merkel’s ‘Biggest Mistake’, Says Former EU Chief

The approval of the Nord Stream 2 pipeline from Russia is outgoing German Chancellor Angela Merkel’s “biggest mistake”, the former president of the EU Council said in comments backing up warnings from former President Donald Trump.

In a press conference on Sunday, former President of the European Council Donald Tusk said that Angela Merkel was “helpless” in the face of lobbying efforts from German industry to approve the controversial Nord Stream 2 pipeline, which is set to deliver gas to Germany from Russia in a pipeline along the bottom of the Baltic sea.

“As Chancellor of Germany, Angela Merkel was helpless in the face of the lobbying force of domestic entrepreneurs,” Tusk said, claiming that the outgoing leader of Germany “admitted” as much in past conversations with him.

The former Polish prime minister — now the leader of the opposition — went on to say that Merkel’s willingness to become dependent on Russian gas will go down as one of her “biggest mistakes,” according to the Polish news outlet PAP.

“From the point of view of the interests of the European Union, Nord Stream 2 is a bad project,” he added.

Current Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki has also taken aim at the project calling on the incoming coalition government in Germany to do “everything possible not to allow Nord Stream 2 to be an instrument in the arsenal of President Putin.”

“Nord Stream 2 is becoming a tool to blackmail Ukraine and Moldova. It is also a tool for the manipulation of energy prices,” Morawiecki said on Sunday.

Former President Donald Trump was also heavily critical of Merkel’s decision during his time in office, warning that it would result in Germany and other European nations becoming “captive” to the political whims of Russia’s Vladimir Putin, who has previously used gas supplies as a means of pressuring foreign capitals.

Mr Trump also highlighted that former Merkel’s predecessor, Gerhard Schröder — who initially approved the pipeline — has gone on to become one of the top executives for the firm which constructed Nord Stream 2.

The central critique from the former American leader, however, was that Germany — which has consistently failed to meet its NATO spending obligations — benefits from American military protection from Russia, while in turn enriching the petrol-state through purchasing its gas.

“It is very sad when Germany makes a massive oil and gas deal with Russia, where we’re supposed to be guarding against Russia, and Germany goes and pays out billions and billions of dollars a year to Russia. We’re protecting Germany, we’re protecting France, we’re protecting all of these countries,” Trump said in 2018.

In stark contrast to the Trump administration, President Joe Biden said that he would not sanction the pipeline, claiming that it would be “counterproductive” to diplomatic relations with Europe. In July, Merkel secured a deal from Biden to waive existing sanctions on the project in return for green energy spending in Ukraine — one of the countries being sidestepped by the pipeline.

In the agreement, the United States maintained the right to impose sanctions should it be determined that Russia was using the pipeline to exert political pressure.

Republicans in the US Senate are currently trying to force through new sanctions on the pipeline, in an amendment to the annual defence spending bill — a vote on which is expected this week.

According to leaked documents obtained by Axios, German officials have attempted to dissuade the senators, claiming that such a move would “weaken” America’s standing in the world and “ultimately damage transatlantic unity.”

Earlier this month, Germany’s energy regulator, the Federal Network Agency (Bundesnetzagentur), announced that it would suspend the approval of the Nord Stream 2 pipeline, claiming that the company would need to open a physical office in Germany to meet its legal obligations.

Some have accused Russia of holding back increases in gas supplies during the recent energy crunch throughout Europe, however, Mr Putin has denied that he is using energy as a means of political pressure.

Twitter CTO Parag Agrawal will replace Jack Dorsey as CEO

Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey is stepping down as chief of the social media company, effective immediately. Parag Agrawal, the company’s chief technology officer, will take over the helm, the company said Monday.

Twitter shares were up more than 3% on the news.

Dorsey, 45, was serving as both the CEO of Twitter and Square, his digital payments company. Dorsey will remain a member of the Board until his term expires at the 2022 meeting of stockholders, the company said. Salesforce President and COO Bret Taylor will become the Chairman of the Board, replacing Patrick Pichette, a former Google executive, who will remain on the board as chair of the Audit committee.

“I’ve decided to leave Twitter because I believe the company is ready to move on from its founders,” Dorsey said in a statement, though he didn’t provide any additional detail on why he decided to resign.

Agrawal will have to meet Twitter’s aggressive internal goals. The company said earlier this year it aims to have 315 million monetizable daily active users by the end of 2023 and to at least double its annual revenue in that year.

Agrawal, who’s served as CTO since 2017, has been with Twitter for more than a decade. He had been in charge of strategy involving artificial intelligence and machine learning.

Prior to joining Twitter, Agrawal held research internships at AT&T, Microsoft and Yahoo. While at Twitter, he led projects to make tweets in users’ timelines more relevant to them using AI.

Agrawal was previously tasked with finding a leader for Project Bluesky, a research project Twitter announced to establish open and decentralized standards for social media platforms.

Dorsey said in the email he posted to Twitter that Agrawal has been his choice to lead the company “for some time given how deeply he understands the company and its needs.”

Dorsey faced an ousting last year when Twitter stakeholder Elliott Management had sought to replace him. Elliott Management founder and billionaire investor Paul Singer had wondered whether Dorsey should run both of the public companies, calling for him to step down as CEO of one of them, before the investment firm reached a deal with the company’s management.

Dorsey, who co-founded the social media giant in 2006, served as CEO until 2008 before being pushed out of the role. He returned to Twitter as boss in 2015 after former CEO Dick Costolo stepped down.

Shares have jumped 85% since Dorsey took over as CEO Oct 5. 2015. Meantime, Square shares have surged 1,566% since its Nov. 19, 2015 initial public offering.

Philadelphia Breaks Three Decade Old Homicide Record over Weekend

Mayor Jim Kenney’s (D) Philadelphia reached the figure of 501 homicides for the year on Friday, surpassing the annual homicide record of 500 set back in 1990.

6 ABC reports the city’s 501 murder occurred around 9 p.m. Friday “on the 7100 block of Ardleigh Street in East Mount Airy.”

The victim was a male who was shot five times. He was taken to a hospital and pronounced dead.

Gun violence is ravaging other Democrat-run cities around the country as well.

Breitbart News noted nearly 40 people were shot in Mayor Lori Lightfoot’s (D) Chicago by Sunday morning alone during Thanksgiving weekend and HeyJackass.com pointed out that 3,486 people have been shot and wounded in Chicago so far this year.

Another 738 people have been shot and killed in Chicago during 2021.

Mayor Bill Peduto’s (D) Pittsburgh is also grappling with gun crime. Breitbart News observed that Pittsburgh’s Deputy police commissioner Christine Coulter blasted the District Attorney, suggesting lax gun prosecutions, after a pregnant woman and her baby were shot and killed November 20, 2021.

The Daily Mail reported the deceased, 32-year-old mother, Jessica Covington, was shot and killed while unloading gifts she had received at a baby shower.

Deputy commissioner Coulter said, “Children are getting shot, unborn children getting shot, what is the city doing about this?”

The trend has been building for years:

Homicides are surging in Democrat-controlled Baltimore as well.

On November 26, 2021, WMAR showed 308 homicides year-to-date in Baltimore versus 300 on the same date in 2020.

Democrat-controlled Washington, DC, is seeing a spike in homicides too. Axios reports the number of homicides in DC is higher than it has been since 2003.

Prosecutors say Bannon seeking to 'try this case in the media'

Federal prosecutors accused Steve Bannon and his lawyers of attempting to try in the media the contempt of Congress charges the former White House strategist faces for defying subpoenas from the House committee investigating the Jan.6 attack on the Capitol.

In a court filing submitted Sunday night, the D.C. U.S. Attorney's office pushed back on the defense's effort to unseal all evidence in the case, including grand jury testimony. The prosecutors argued that the move would be unusual and extreme in a criminal case.

"The defense’s misleading claims, failure to confer, unexplained wholesale opposition, and extrajudicial statements make clear the defense’s real purpose: to abuse criminal discovery to try this case in the media rather than in court," the prosecutors wrote.

Bannon pleaded not guilty earlier this month to two counts of contempt of Congress, both misdemeanors, for refusing to comply with select committee subpoenas for documents and testimony about his involvement in the events of Jan. 6 and his communications with the Trump White House.

He told reporters that the case against him would be the "misdemeanor from hell" for President Biden and Democratic leaders, vowing to "go on offense."

Bannon's lawyers filed a motion last week seeking to release all of the prosecution's evidence and grand jury testimony. They wrote that a protective order, which outlines certain evidence that should be kept under seal during a criminal case, would "prejudice" a potential trial against Bannon.

"The Government’s proposed order would give it the ability to influence what documents are available for use by defense counsel in preparing a defense and engaging in motions practice," the defense lawyers wrote in the filing.

I've never heard Dr Anthony Fauci's cell phone voicemail greeting, but I imagine it says: 'Yes, I'll come on your show.'

For someone whose day job is supposed to be leading America's scientific and medical war against Covid-19, he seems to have an incredible amount of spare time for self-promotional media interviews.

Barely a week seems to go by without him popping up on TV or in newspapers and magazines, and as time has gone on, Fauci's become more and more brazenly political in those interviews since the Biden administration took over.

Yesterday, he was everywhere again, speaking about the new Omicron variant.

What he said in these new interviews should give every American serious for concern, not just about the latest Covid threat but about some of the outrageously partisan statements the country's top doctor made.

The most egregious came on CBS's Face The Nation when Fauci burst out laughing after he was asked about Republican senator Ted Cruz calling for him to be prosecuted over his links to the Wuhan Institute of Virology from where many think the coronavirus outbreak leaked.

'I should be prosecuted?' he chuckled. 'What happened on January 6th, senator?'

The interviewer, Margaret Brennan, then asked if he thought he was being used as a scapegoat to deflect attention from President Trump's culpability over the Capitol riots.

'Of course!' Fauci smirked. You have to be asleep not to figure that one out!'

'Well,' pressed Brennan, 'there are a lot of Republican senators taking aim at this.'

'That's okay,' replied Fauci, 'I'm just gonna do my job. I'm gonna be saving lives, and they are gonna be lying.'

Brennan then said: 'It seems another level of danger to play politics around matters of life and death.'

To which Fauci, without a trace of self-awareness, nodded: 'Exactly. And to me, that's unbelievably bad, because all I want to do is save people's lives.'

Right, and the best way to do that is to alienate half the country from listening to you by trading in political point-scoring!

It's always a worrying indicator of rampant egomania when a public figure starts talking about themselves in the third person, and sure enough that's what Fauci then did.

'Anybody who's looking at this carefully realizes that there's a distinct anti-science flavor to this,' he said. 'If they get up and criticize science, nobody's going to know what they're talking about. But if they get up and really aim their bullets at Tony Fauci — people could recognize there's a person there, so it's easy to criticize. But they're really criticizing science, because I represent science, and that's dangerous.'

Wow. He sounds more like a religious leader berating non-believers than a scientist trying to grapple with a pandemic that has seen more scientific flip-flopping than any global medical crisis in my lifetime.

The parallel is apt because the more he's been attacked, the more self-righteous, zealous and preachy Fauci has grown.

Judge Blocks “Sensational and Impure” Information from Media in Ghislaine Maxwell’s Case – Same Judge Was Nominated by Schumer and Biden Last Week to US Court of Appeals

On Wednesday, Nov. 17, Joe Biden nominated a second lesbian, Alison Nathan, to serve on the Second Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals.

According to The Dallas Voice, Nathan has been presiding over the trial of sexual predator Jeffrey Epstein’s associate, Ghislaine Maxwell, on sex trafficking charges. Reuters reported that the trial requires Nathan to question more than 200 prospective jurors.

Nathan is married to a New York University Law School professor, Meg Satterthwaite. Senator Charles Schumer, D-N.Y., recommended Nathan for the nomination.

United States District Judge Alison Nathan was appointed to the federal bench by former President Barack Obama in 2011. Prior to serving as a federal judge, she clerked for the late Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens, worked as counsel for the attorney general of New York and was an associate White House counsel and special assistant for Obama.

In February Judge Nathan granted Ghislaine Maxwell’s request to redact and hide ‘sensational and impure’ information from the public during the trial.

A federal judge in New York has granted requests to redact segments from Ghislaine Maxwell case filed last month, ruling some of the details were too “sensational and impure” to reveal.

The decision comes as federal prosecutors and Maxwell’s defence team argue about which of the evidence submitted under seal to keep out of the public eye.

BARR: Biden’s ‘Infrastructure’ Bill Contains Backdoor ‘Kill Switch’ For Cars

Buried deep within the massive infrastructure legislation recently signed by President Joe Biden is a little-noticed “safety” measure that will take effect in five years. Marketed to Congress as a benign tool to help prevent drunk driving, the measure will mandate that automobile manufacturers build into every car what amounts to a “vehicle kill switch.”

As has become standard for legislative mandates passed by Congress, this measure is disturbingly short on details. What we do know is that the “safety” device must “passively monitor the performance of a driver of a motor vehicle to accurately identify whether that driver may be impaired.”

Everything about this mandatory measure should set off red flares.

First, use of the word “passively” suggests the system will always be on and constantly monitoring the vehicle. Secondly, the system must connect to the vehicle’s operational controls, so as to disable the vehicle either before driving or during, when impairment is detected. Thirdly, it will be an “open” system, or at least one with a backdoor, meaning authorized (or unauthorized) third-parties can remotely access the system’s data at any time.

This is a privacy disaster in the making, and the fact that the provision made it through the Congress reveals — yet again — how little its members care about the privacy of their constituents.

The lack of ultimate control over one’s vehicle presents numerous and extremely serious safety issues; issues that should have been obvious to Members of Congress before they voted on the measure.

For example, what if a driver is not drunk, but sleepy, and the car forces itself to the side of the road before the driver can find a safe place to pull over and rest? Considering that there are no realistic mechanisms to immediately challenge or stop the car from being disabled, drivers will be forced into dangerous situations without their consent or control.

The choice as to whether a vehicle can or cannot be driven — for vehicles built after 2026 — will rest in the hands of an algorithm over which the car’s owner or driver have neither knowledge nor control.

If that is not reason enough for concern, there are serious legal issues with this mandate. Other vehicle-related enforcement methods used by the Nanny State, such as traffic cameras and license plate readers, have long presented constitutional problems; notably with the 5th Amendment’s right to not self-incriminate, and the 6th Amendment’s right to face one’s accuser.

WashPost: The Transgender Industry Is Recklessly Endangering Kids

The growing transgenderization of American children is unscientific, unsupervised, and out of control, according to an op-ed prominently published Sunday by the Washington Post.

“The treatment pushed by activists, recommended by some providers and taught in many training workshops is to affirm [teenagers’ claims of transgender identity] without question,” says the op-ed by two loud advocates of the transgender ideology, psychologist Laura Edwards-Leeper, and Erica Anderson, who says she is transgender.

“We may be harming some of the young people we strive to support — people who may not be prepared for the gender transitions they are being rushed into,” the two authors wrote.

The article was given a very prominent position — three-quarters of the first page in the Washington Post‘s prestigious Outlook section on Sunday, November 28.

The top-level support for the article suggests the Post‘s editors are alarmed at the growing damage from transgenderism — even as they also publish a flood of relentlessly pro-transgender articles in other parts of the newspaper.

The growing damage has been carefully covered by Breitbart News for at least five years. On November 27, for example, Breitbart News reported Swedish pro-transgender doctors caused serious injuries to many kids: “It’s chemical castration. It can affect mental health in a way that you didn’t think of and didn’t want.”

That coverage has helped ordinary Americans debate the issue, and to pass laws in state legislatures that protect K-12 children from transgenderism in school sports.

But elitist progressives in the media, in activist groups, and in universities have suppressed the scientific, medical and political debate because of their contempt for ordinary Americans.

The Post‘s surprising approval of the critical op-ed by two pro-transgender activists may allow progressives to admit the damage being caused to their own children. The two authors wrote:

The constituency of agitated parents who feel excluded is also growing rapidly. These are not conservative evangelicals who don’t believe trans people exist or deserve treatment. They’re usually progressive, educated, loving people who all say, If our kid is really trans, we’ll fully support them. We just want to be as sure as possible, and we can’t find a provider who will actually engage in gender exploring therapy. Instead, doctors and psychologists and social workers are ready to start hormones after one short visit.

‘Everything We Feared’ — Incoming Leftist Coalition Govt in Germany to Push for a Federal EU Superstate

The incoming left-wing coalition government in Germany is set to push for a so-called ‘United States of Europe’ through the creation of a federal EU superstate, confirming concerns long expressed by Brexiteers.

Germany’s incoming Europhile left-wing government has begun a push for a federalized European Union superstate and the creation of what has been unofficially dubbed the “United States of Europe”.

The campaign for the creation of the superstate was enshrined in the coalition agreement between the three soon-to-be ruling parties, the Social Democrats (SPD), the Free Femocrats (FPD), and the Greens, according to a report by the Neue Zürcher Zeitung, the German language paper of record in Switzerland.

The agreement outlines the coalition’s commitment to supporting the “necessary treaty changes” needed to “lead developments to a European federal state”. This is something Germany clearly sees itself as being responsible for doing, with the document nodding “our special responsibility” for “the EU as a whole” as the bloc’s “largest member state”.

It also voices the coalition’s support for trans-national candidate lists for European elections, which would allow EU citizens to vote for candidates outside their member state. Significantly, the document calls for an increase of “Europe’s strategic sovereignty… this means establishing one’s own ability to act in a global context and being less dependent and vulnerable in important strategic areas”, an oblique reference to an emerging single European foreign policy and an EU military.

Responding to the plans, the head of the pro-leave Reform UK party, Richard Tice wrote on Sunday: “Thank God Brexit happened when it did, as new German leaders want deeper EU federal state,” calling the development “everything we feared”.

The leader of the German Green Party and the incoming foreign minister, Annalena Baerbock will reportedly be responsible for spearheading the campaign, according to The Telegraph.

“A strong German foreign policy can only be a European one,” said Baerbock.

Baerbock, being the leader of Germany’s most pro-EU party, also took a much harder line on the likes of Hungary and Poland during the televised debates, a stance that’s reflected in the coalition’s promise to go after states accused of flaunting EU laws.

The appointment has seen widescale criticism, with even prominent leftist politician Oskar Lafontaine saying last week that Baerbock’s appointment to the position would be a “catastrophe”.

And then, some crazy, violent white guy with a Facebook avi showing him in a MAGA hat gets in his pickup truck and mows down 50 black people in a parade. Multiple dead.

• Take a moment, an honest moment, and tell me what would have happened by now. Imagine the media coverage. It would still lead every program. The Republican president would be impeached over it. Don’t argue. You know he would.

• There would be congressional hearings already scheduled. The FBI would already have multiple people in custody. Friends and family members of the killer would be fired already. Their children wouldn’t be able to attend school.

• CNN would have a news crew on his mother’s lawn. City after city would be up in flames from the rioting and looking. Multiple people would be murdered in the chaotic aftermath that followed.

• I’m not wrong about any of this. In fact, I’m probably underselling it. I could see Democrat-controlled areas flat-out criminalizing wearing GOP gear.

• And I didn’t lay all this out to show hypocrisy or double standards. That’s a waste of time. Everyone knows that already. I laid this all out so you could see just how powerful The System is.

• The things they do to protect the people viewed as being on their side are endless.

OPINION-EDITORIAL: One full year after the Democrats stole the November, 2020, Presidential Election, the people who were sucked-in by the allegedly "Pro-Trump" QAnon Movement, were made complete fools of, publicly, by the fraudulent QAnon that has misled them for a full year.

For a full year, QAnon has been peddling the lie that Trump would be re-installed as President. Some "White Hats" (or a segment of the military) were actually, secretly, in control, and Biden was going to be taken out of his illegitimate presidency, and Trump re-installed.

Those of us who saw through this bullshit, referred to the believers as being hooked on Hopium. Addicted to Hope. A Hope that was not EVER going to come true.

Given that Biden is, in fact, illegitimately occupying the Office of President of the United States, which his Democrat Party STOLE through election fraud, some pro-Trump people were desperate to believe that someone, something, would ride to the rescue, save the nation from the fraud we're all under, and set things right. They said it would be through some secret military tribunals in GITMO. They said it would be through some lawsuit. They said it would be done by some Intelligence officials. . . . or military members . . . . or . . . . . someone . . . . ANYONE!!!!!

And each time their hope dwindled, they were given some new thread of Hopium to keep them docile a little longer:

So desperate were these folks, they actually believed it each time they were told . . . "Just a few more months" then "Just a few more weeks" and then "ooops, we got the date wrong, this (future) date is actually when it's going to happen." They waited and waited. Each date came and went, and nothing happened.

It got so absurd to people like me, watching in amazement and disbelief at the absurdity of it all, that I actually started to wonder if they would believe:

Marilyn Manson’s house searched by Los Angeles police: report

Authorities searched Marilyn Manson’s West Hollywood home Monday as part of a probe into sexual assault claims, a report said.

Manson was not at the home when investigators with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department entered to execute the warrant, according to TMZ, which cited law enforcement sources.

Authorities removed“media storage units”from Manson’s home, the report said.

A spokeswoman for the sheriff’s office said she was aware of the report, but couldn’t confirm the search or offer any details on Monday night.

The “Dope Show” singer, whose real name is Brian Warner, has been hit with assault and abuse allegations from numerous women. A Rolling Stone report earlier this month outlined accusations that the singer locked women into a music studio called the “Bad Girls’ Room” as a form of punishment.

A spokesperson for Manson didn’t immediately respond to an inquiry from The Post on Monday night.
